Both plants have almost stopped growing in heigth now and are in full flowering mode now. Barbarian (=AK-47 x Barbara Bud) Plant #1 is 15 cm shorter than plant #2, but a little bushier. Both have grown very well and are strong and healthy. They get more and more flower clusters now and start to fill up all branches. Trichomes start to appear all over...the plants start to get sticky and develop a weak sweet aroma now. Its time to take off the biggest fan leaves now for defoliation, I took a round of pics before and after.

Not sure how long these have got before they need to be harvested?? What do you think ?

She’s a bit of a mess after changing res for a flush , will need to sort out something easier next time . Also wish I had scrog to make better use of this little light , Day 83 started a flush , will part harvest in a few days as I’m going away, buds could be better they are somewhat sticky pistils look ready , Ordered a loupe a little late . has been a good learning experience, Notes - don’t over do nutes early - change res more frequently - try lollipop and use a scrog - invest in a higher watt light for yield and tighter bud , - don’t grow near summer heat major issue , autumn and spring more ideal

Simply by lifting them; A light pot is a dry pot and will need more water, A heavy pot is a wet pot and will need less water. Moved the light 20cm up and it seems like she appreciated the change. Now that the temperature and the humidity level are more stable, she should grow faster. UPDATE: TOPPED! My 2 Royal Highness are still seedlings, while all the other plants (Gorilla included) are getting bigger and bigger every other day. Let’s say I had to top these ladies (also) to wait the Highnesses. Come on babies!! ❤️

A lot of rain, crazy weather.

Day 23: Both plants are still recovering from the strong pre-fertilization of the soil. Pheno 2, which was weak since it pierced the surface still has a very hard time. I wonder if it will recover eventually... Day 25: Pheno 1 shows first pistil hairs. Day 27: Even Pheno 1 showing curled down and dark greenish leaves, albeit nothing was fed. This strain seems to react sensitively to pre fertilized soil. Day 28 (end of week 4): Tips of every shoot showing first real signs of flowering. I will wait at least another 1,5 weeks until I will apply minimal dosages of bloom and top max. Also pheno 2 (weakling) is now showing pistils. Still it's growth is in slo-mo and looks weak.

Was doing main folding this whole time thinking it was LST but did it to encourage more equal canopy and chance for other bud site to become more dominant. Also it feeds about .8 gallon every 24of solution mix and some times water

The sun was there this week. Despite the yellowing of the lower leaves, the Gorilla Punch and the Pound Cake look good. The Apricot and the Orange Sherbet are not so good. Was a good learning experience. I'm not going to get near the weight I expected from these, and though the bud turned out really tasty, I don't think I'll grow it again. I'm not sure I would recommend to a newbie. It was in some awesome living soil, but some deficiencies crept up in flower, and I wasn't impressed with the roots upon post mortem exam. On second look, even the photo on msnl's site shows some spots that looks like deficiencies. Definitely some grower errors here, but all of my ongoing grows faced the same challenges and these just seemed less adaptable. Anyhow, I've been graced with some clean meds for now, and I'm a happy growin hooman. 👽 I also probably won't do any more autoflowers moving forward. Just not my style. There are some great peeps doing outstanding work with autos though. Best to them and all! :) D82 - 12.12 - cut the second auto cheese yesterday. Let her go as long as I was comfortable. Think her run in with the gnats resulted in the the deficiencies. Awfully covered in trichs, so it should make for tasty smoke after dried, trimmed and cured.. Shall update

Today 7/30/19, day 57 and the start of week 9. I'm still continuing to alternate between days with my pesticide treatment (especially after finding that bug living on one of hulkberries fan leaf) and thrive alive green daily foliage spray as a prophylactic solution against any possible pests or mold going into these last few dog days of veg. I will flush them with distilled ph'd water for two days this weekend in preparation for flower. Then I'll start them on some "flower fuel" bloom booster on top of my secret for success flower recipe at 1/4 of the recommended strength. Outside of that still no adverse issue to report for the end of the 8th week. After my last trim, they both have responded very nicely, I was kind of worried about fat banana stalled growth. But one thing I noticed when I topped her at the 6th node, yes the main stem stopped growing but it developed many bud sites up and down every stem. Whereas hulkberry was topped at the 8th node, she has mainly focused on developing long stems and only 2 or 3 bud sites along her stems. Even though hulkberry in structure, is much bigger than fat banana and has a way bigger root system. Fat banana is bushier and has developed way more bud sites than hulkberry. I can't tell which strain will yield the most at this point only time will tell! Also, a big shout out to "J"@RQS, thank you for the excellent customer service. Another reason why Royal Queen Seeds is top 3 in breeding!!
