Orange Diesel

This 2-gallon run was harvested at 80 days, wet trimmed, and placed in the HerbsNow dryer for 80 hours. After a few days curing, the bud has gotten louder and more hydrated. Has a faint orange creamsicle smell with a diesel background, and hopefully the smells intensify during the cure. (Dry yield=34 g/1.2 oz.) Will update at different points of the cure. Smooth smoke after five days, and it hits similar to the old Sour Diesel I used to have 20 years ago; a nice balanced hybrid that helps with anxiety and mild pain relief. Overindulging will lead to couchlock/naptime!

This Orange Diesel turned out to be a great plant, with some really nice genetics behind it. It yielded a pretty decent 114g with 100 watts of light, so it produced a good quantity of buds. It could have used more space, however, as a lot of lower buds were cramped and under developed. This resulted in around 40-50g of long airy buds being tossed in with my sugar leaf trimmings and not included in my harvest totals. The rest of the buds were decently solid, with a bit of fluffiness due to the massive amount of sugar leaf material growing throughout. These leaves are very trichomes rich, so I don't mind how much there is. The smell is amazing, with a very powerful gasoline/diesel smell followed by fresh citrus and a little spice. It really tickles the nose when you open a jar. The effects are well balanced, causing good vibes and happy feelings while still being relaxing. Perfect for after a day's work when you want to relax and chill out, but do not want to be totally sedated. Very potent, which is exactly how I enjoy my buds. With it's very leafy buds, tons of trichome production , and powerful terpenes, this strain is particularly well suited to making hash and oils. Overall I was very happy growing this strain, and Mephisto bred something really special!
