Doug's Varin

Born from a happy accident in Northern California, Doug's Varin was first spotted at Dougie's Farm when a grower named Doug popped what he thought were Harlequin seeds. The exact parents remain a guarded secret, but the cut's character is unmistakable: a fast, bright sativa with a terpene trio of pinene, limonene, and caryophyllene that drives clean notes of pine over zesting citrus and a dry woody finish. California Cannabinoids later championed the cultivar, turning its rare chemistry into a calling card; selected batches have been reported with double digit THCV alongside 18 to 24% THC, while CBD typically sits under 1%. On the palate it lands crisp and resinous, and the onset is famously swift: an energetic, focused lift that rises and resolves without a heavy tail, leaving an uplifted afterglow. Indoors the plants stay manageable at about 1.5 m with an open, airy sativa structure; trained canopies flower in roughly 8 to 11 weeks and, in dialed rooms, can return up to 500 to 600 g per m2. Outdoor shrubs can stretch taller and yield a few hundred grams per plant in warm, dry weather. Lime green colas sparkle with amber pistils and a fine dust of trichomes, a visual hint at the cultivar's uncommon varin profile and its place in modern cannabis history.
