In the 70s in Santa Cruz, Haze was a favorite among surfers for the pure energy and I still have (greatly improved) stock of it around, simply because even when I made hybrids with it I always kept the original in pure form for obvious reasons. Q. What is the psychoactive effect like? A. Like the flavors, many people have commented that the "buzz" is somewhat different than other mainstream types out there. It's not entirely out of the scope of imagination that given that this strain has new alleles in so many other respects, that it could also contain new, unique cannabinoids, as well as new and unique terpenoids, some of which may not even be among the standard 16 or so that the average lab is testing for. Aside from the up, cerebral, energetic boost, some report a mild time/space warp effect. Creativity and idea induction should be mentioned, for sure. Let me explain, about 20 yrs. ago a friend gave me a jar of seeds labeled "BC Bigbud" and I sprouted flats of hundreds to look for oddities and had found one web-leaf pheno which we named Webster. It was a female so I bred it to a normal leaf male and began selecting and stabilizing a line of Webster. About 5 or 6 generations later I had nailed it to 100% webs and had also stabilized it for a deep purple color and a nice "gingerbread" terp profile. I was busy working other lines at that point so I put Webster in the library. Also, I was having a hell of a time getting a pheno of it that flowered to my satisfaction. (it seemed to finish with a limited number of calyxes). I knew I would have to outcross it to something with a big tasty bud and restabilize it for web-leaf, and I no longer had the original BC Bigbud. I still have the Webster seeds, and trust me the thought has crossed my mind to make the cross with Freakshow, but why? Why mess around crossing things just to create something even weirder? I have heard that the "Duckfoot" also doesn't bud up well so maybe there's a correlation there. Anyway, people can do what they want to and I will too, but crossing Freakshow with some low-THC crap like ABC is in my opinion idiotic. I worked extremely hard stabilizing and perfecting a beautiful new subspecies and I believe it should be kept pure. I won't go on a rant here about the rampant crossing and the lack of line-breeding in the cannabis world in the last several decades, or where this will eventually lead us, but I will say that it's not in a good direction. Bottom line....Freakshow has no web-leaf genes, it was made using top-grade tropical narrow-leaf drug (NLD) cultivars. Q.Why is Freakshow patented? A. Although I and most others (including all the folks at HSC) believe in and subscribe to the concept of "open sourcing" because sharing in cannabis genetics was always the cultural norm, it was decided that Freakshow should be protected (1) because it is a novel and unique, not a preexisting strain (or even subspecies), (2) To keep the greedy corporate big boys from exploiting it, (3) To maintain control of the genetic refinement of it in all future generations. So far it seems to be fine even if the high humidity worries me even if the temperatures are still high then they have stopped growing and will finally focus on the flowers and slowly we recover these small deficiencies

Bloom Week 6 - Not sure why this platform doesn't allow tbsp measures. Anyways, this week they were fed with 1/2 tbsp of dry bloom fertilizer per gallon of soil. This is a half dosage and there will be no more feedings. If I do another run, I wouldn't use bloom booster as a supplement in week 5. An early feed perhaps if anything. There seems to be a little nutrient burns. There's also some fading coming through, which can be normal for this week.

Final days as a big storm is coming I will harvest a bit early but most of the trichomes are cloudy smells absolutely amazing.

Overall, I am extremely happy with the genetics of the Auto Euforia and the general success of the grow. I always like to reflect on mistakes I have made, so let me lay them out here: I overlit the plant during veg, contributing to it's bushy nature. It grew well but this would be a waste of electricity if I was growing more commercially. During the last week of flower, my region of Ontario was hit with tons of rain and humidity. I took some steps to increase circulation of dehumidified air, but lowering 95rh to 65-70rh is still insufficient and I lost some control of the environment. The awful result was the start of mold in some select areas, particularly in the fattest buds and where leaves were cut away and petioles remained. This issue is not due to Dutch Passions great genetics, and is entirely due to a combination of an unseasonable environment and my own overconfidence. This mold was never clearly apparent on the outside of the buds, but I found it will trichomes scouting under magnification. This forced me to speed up the harvest and drying process. It also means that I have had to carefully grade the buds into those safe for smoking and vaping, those mold free but needing a second examination (will be rosin pressed), and those close enough to spots of mold to be only for for edibles. Any moldy bud was of course cut away and will be disposed of. Nevertheless, I have many ounces of fantastic buds, and will be making some nice pressed rosin based 510 cartridges. I will edit the harvest post with more information after the cure, and showing the various processing I will be doing. Happy growing! 🌱

Day 8: Week 1 went pretty well. Unfortunately, i think the humidity domes were helping filter the light intensity and when i removed them the seedlings became light stressed. I've moved the two 24W LED light strips up a couple of inches. Light levels are reading approximately 11,000 LUX at seedlings. Day 9: - no change Day 10: - watered both plants lightly with a 70 ppm solution of Remo Nutrients' "Micro", "Grow" and "VeloKelp". Only .25ml of each per gallon of water. Our tap water sits at around 25-30ppm and the total ppm measured was 101. - water pH @ 6.4/6.5 Day 11: - Increased circulation fan speed to provide gentle movement of seedlings, to encourage stem strength. Day 12: - no change Day 13: - watered lightly with dechlorinated tap water, pH'd to 6.4 Day 14: - Increased HLG Elite 360 fixture intensity from 10% to 20% - Lowered fixture from 48" above canopy to 36" - Plants receiving approximately 14-16,000 lux, an increase of about 3-4,000 lux.

All are doing good, even with soft water..as long as I flush out way more than im used to. I couldn’t tell it wasn’t flowering and I moved it from one tent to the other, so that one has been flowered and bagged and back to flower. I don’t know what’s gonna happen but they’re all looking great. Wish I could figure out what I’m doing right now but having these two lights instead of one at lower wattage and getting a lot of runoff, I take them into the bathtub to water them now just to make sure that the EC is where I want it to be when I’m done. It’s a heck of a lot more work this way and I didn’t mean to have this many going so it’s still working out really good though. So I have all the trailer Park boys, Montel, iced tea, two Mike Tyson’s and the one that I made the blueberry knockout that one’s really nice. Montel's Dream Widow is looking absolutely killer in these photos.
