48 hours in wet paper towel, after to the coco peat pellet. the pellets really expand, hydrate them first. I am not trying to be an example of coco medium, this is my first time working with it, diary for documentation. Once I had a good menu of nutrients I started to look at the coco. spent a good couple of weeks with free time to read about the coco, not as easy as prepared potting soil but a few have said it is good results once you get the hang of it. so i am set to go. I also have one seed from a retail cannabis package. It is from GAGE - Strawberry fire OG, Packaged AUG 2020, Purchased Sept 2021. One seed inside. I will see, it is in the wet paper towel at the moment. thanks and best to you's' day 7 from number one sprout: I am omitting the pH down 2 feedings now, little yellow tone in the first two seedling, going to balance straight forward from now on. number one seedling has now pushed up, ready for calmag tomorrow , number two is 7 days on thursday but looking like a good push start still a bit tall although straight. i will be rotating calmag - root booster for the first week of feeding. the pH down is a powerful concentrate, 6.5 to a hard 4 with a few drops in a 4L. wow! so I am using one 4L as a pH down to get a rusty orange (that is on pH water drops for the feedings). I have not tested but I think the root booster and calmag will pH down as is, so I am looking to pre-mix each in separate 4L. (20-12-21 4:20PM) ** interesting observation - I am used to wet paper towel to (as some say ) "pop the seed" which in my experience results in a tail like growth, (that is a few drops of water on seed between paper towel between saucers). but with a cup of slightly warmer than room temperature water covered in foil, the result was a seed split down the middle like a clam looks. ok thanks! - number three was germinated in cup of water.

This week was good did some defoliation and training to get some more growth out of side branches turn dem to crown......the baby that's in full flower is fatten up don't kno how much more fatter she will get jus have to wait and see...until then happy growing

Gold Sativa has been growing really fast. I had to take solution out of buckets right before update here. Was causing over watering issues with roots growing so fast. So providing more air space between basket, and solution. Should help her perk up a little more. This is my first run of photoperiods in DWC. I think I got most major issues resolved. Although we have arrived and exceeded the time to harvest according to the breeder's specifications, I have decided to keep them under the lamp a little bit more in order to see a last push. Furthermore I haven't seen too many amber colored trichomes so this helped me to maintain it. I don't have the right tools to observe them either, so I'm somewhat hesitant about the time of harvest. Maybe I'll cut the biggest ones and keep the little ones a little more under the light. Anyway I saw that pure sativas can stay flowering between 100-120 days so I think I'm not so wrong.

First full on flower week for these, they seem really f-ing quick for some reason, maybe it's the smart protein ... At this rate i'm gonna have an august harvest fully 12 weeks from seed lol, i'm not holding my breath because i'm realistic, but that would be f-ing nice as shit lol anyway i'm just following these ladies' cycle and giving some flower nutrients as well as some flower specific micro , had some bioflo around so just used that - didnt really over think this one, i'm just enjoying the show, sneaked into their room while they were sleeping to snap some pics , pretty dramatic with the lighting , hope you enjoy these ! 8 week finish this run

Week 8 has gone well and she is chugging along. She is still putting out new pistils with some turning orange. Calyx's are growing longer and buds are still soft. I'm thinking a min of 10 weeks flowering for her. I removed some leaves on inner canopy to bring some air and light deeper. She is so bushy its hard to even defoliate maybe next time i will remove some more lateral branches... afterremoving the leaves I must have come incontact with a pollen sack as where I defoliated all seemed to be polinated over night and are making seeds :( I will cut my losses and harvest while seeds are still small.

I'm continuing with running the AirCube reservoir for 5-6 days between drain/refill, only topping off with well water and checking.adjusting the PH. The beginning nutrient strength is 800ppm, and over the course of the 5-6 days it has only been dropping approx. 150ppm's. The #3 plant has some issues with leaf tips 'clawing' and leaves 'taco-ing'. Unfortunately, with this system you're giving all the plants the same thing. If a plant in the run requires less/more nutrients, or prefers less frequent feeds/watering you're shit out of luck. That being said, the #3 looks crappy but it is what it is and we'll see how she deals with her issues. The #2 plant continues to be the stand out of the three and she's on a mission, getting frostier by the day! 11/24- Yesterday I raised the HLG 650R to it's maximum height available putting it approx. 30" above canopy. In addition, I reduced the power to 80% to see if it had any effect on the #3 plants condition. I'll give it 2-3 days to see if there is any change in her appearance, at which point I'll decide what to do with the light output. The #2 pheno is getting super frosty and is looking like a champ! The #1 plant is just starting to get her 'frost engine' going and I'm hoping she'll follow in the #2's footsteps! 11/26- Tomorrow I will once again be draining, cleaning and refilling the AirCube Reservoir with 80L of well water. After filling, I'll be adding Plagron nutrients to a 800 ppm solution strength, then will adjust the ph to 5.6-5.8 @70-71℉ . 11/28- There goes three weeks of flower for the Strawberry Gorilla's and I wish they looked better, but it is what it is. Two days ago I removed alot of fanleaves so light can penetrate all the way down. I was looking for a specific shape with these plants and it seems like it worked. Now it's mostly the buds that have leaves and only a few fanleaves on the bottom of plant that didnt block any light. With my next watering I'm going to reduce the amount of nutrients because there is alot less plant matter to process those nutrients. With my last grow I ran in to some nutrient problems after the heavy defoliation. So less will be more this time😁 Day 17 of flower Follow my IG @Growinhome_
