@womba, If you want to do a SCROG, I’d personally recommend topping the plant first. That way you redistribute the growth hormones and it makes the SCROG much easier to manage because the lateral branches really explode once the apical dominance is broken. That said, whenever I SCROG I usually top as well, although it also depends on the genetics. The more indica-leaning the plant is, the less topping is needed to control the apical dominance. Honestly though, I’m pretty lazy and usually only do one topping because multiple toppings extend the veg time and can increase stress/herm risks too. As for which node to top at, that’s really up to you. Personally I usually top at the 5th node because I like letting the plant gain a bit more height first — it makes everything underneath easier to work with later for watering, top dressing, etc. But nothing stops you from topping at the 4th node either. The lower you top, the bushier the plant becomes, although in my opinion it also becomes harder to work on. I’d also recommend letting the plant establish itself properly first so the root system is already strong before topping. A few times I topped too early and basically lost a whole week of veg because the plant stalled from stress. What I really like about SCROG is that, besides shaping the plant however you want, you can guide every branch exactly where you want using simple garden ties attached to the net instead of tying everything directly to the pot. Sorry for the super long comment ahaha, I hope at least some of it was helpful. Good luck with everything man!! :green_heart:

@birdmountain, Yeah, at first I wanted to leave her completely untouched too, just to see how the plant would naturally behave without any external intervention. But then I got bored and wanted to play around with her a bit ahaha. In the end, that’s the fun part about photoperiods — you can train them however you want. I don’t think this will end up being a true SCROG though. Usually before flipping to flower I fill around 70% of the net and then switch, so the stretch during the first weeks fills the remaining space. But I can’t really do that with this one because the yield would end up being way too much and honestly I wouldn’t even know where to put it all :joy::joy::joy: So I think in a little while, once she has a shape I’m at least somewhat happy with, I’ll switch the lights and send her into flower.

Even though I didn't get to use the full line I think I fell in love with these nutrients. I don't think I'd change them for anything else. My goal is to use them fully for round three to see their maximum potential.

A friend of mine gave them to me to make up for the lack of the complete Plagron line. In general I think they have given me a great hand.

I love this lamp, the design is super captivating and also the technical specifications are not bad considering that they can produce 3 umol/joule. I don't understand why they aren't used so much.
