It's seems that Athena finally stopped her stretch and hoping that Xena will follow her sister very soon. Buds are gaining weight and size rapidly. Lots of nice colours and tonnes of trichomes on those buds already. Week 10 Dec 18-24 Dec 18-19 Mainly observation. Xena is still stretching like crazy. both girls are developing beautifully. Dec 20 First watering for this week. 7.5 ltr beetwen both. Runoffs PH's Athena 6.2 Xena 6.3. Dec 21 Due to lack of light at lower parts of conopy decided for another selective defoliation, lowered a bit tallest branches with colas dangerously close to light by tieing them to netting. Couple cm will make a huge difference here. Could not clear well at the back wall of the cabinet due to limited access.I'm very happy with final result. Instead of giving nutrients I gave only water because I noticed some yellow tips on the new growth. The plant had been getting 700ppm feed(including 220ppm tap water). Nutrient buildup in soil? I made the switch to 12/12 today. Since 2 days the new growth has been looking funky - the same corkscrewy thing I had in my first grow. Overall, a lot of trimming, bending, training. It has become a cool plant in my opinion :) Info useful for my question: *6.2-6.4ph water every time *giving water when the soil is dry and lower leaves start to hang a little. but i suspect it is hard to overwater with these airpots *built up nutrients to about 720ppm until last watering

I really waited long to cut away the last leave as I thought it would maybe help the plant to still grow a little, but no no, she didn’t grow much more.

Day 37 - Hitting the ladies with a little LST. My cloner project took a bit of a backseat to life, so I'm a little late in the game to top these babies.... So I decided I'm going to do something I have never done before.... Let these plants grow naturally. Yeah, you read that right, I've never let a plant just grow out without some sort of fun training technique. Even my very first grow was riddled with aggressive plant shaping. This time will be different! This time I will be just doing some very basic LST to open up their branches to more light. I went in and stripped some of the inner growth sites that would have produced nothing but popcorn buds being so hidden from light. I then created anchor points around the grow bags by pushing toothpicks through the holes in the mesh. I like this because it gives me the ability to easily move around anchor points by simply sliding out the toothpicks and moving them where I please. I got the idea from seeing someone else use pushpins once, but I didn't have any on hand. And so, the toothpick hypothesis was born, and so far its working very well! Both ladies look much happier now that they're getting more light to their branches. The leaves on these Blazin' Skywalker plants are just so effing fat that they've been doing a solid job at blocking light to the branches. I tried doing some leaf tucking early on, but the branches just weren't quite long enough for me to properly tuck the leaves behind them and would constantly come un-tucked. She had gotten a bit over watered so I let her go a few extra days between watering. The next morning, she let me know I did the right thing. 💜

The stretch phase is officially over, and now the plant is shifting its energy toward trichome production!🌱 I’ve started noticing a light scent developing, though it’s still not very intense yet. I expect that to change in the coming weeks. I did a light defoliation to improve airflow and light penetration, and I plan to do another round in about two weeks. Interestingly, the fan leaves are starting to take on a slight reddish hue—curious to see how that develops! 💪😊 So far, everything is looking great, and I’m excited to watch the buds bulk up in the next phase!

Welcome to week 10. 7/9-15 Grow family, friends and followers, for the most part, I've basically been flushing 3 gallons each plant every 2 days. I think it is helping both Gaia and Circe recover from nutrient lock out. I see tufts of new flowers forming on some top buds. In the flushing, I still see tea color run off but I will return to feeding very lightly this week. Measurements for one gallon but make 4 or 5 gallons of fertilizer solution. 7/9 flushed ladies with 3 gallons and picture day. 7/ 10 I already feel behind on this week. I had to rush watering my plants in the tent yesterday so I could prep the sides and condiments for a cookout. After eating we played games then, called it early as a storm was heading our way. I was going to do my diary up date last night but the storm took out our power. So today loaded yesterdays pics 7/11 ferigating day. All got flushed 3 gallons of water. After using, then I fertilized with additional 1gals Fertilizer TPS1 15 ml in 4 gal Signal 7.5 ml in 4 gal Each plant received 1gal. Also baking day -Banana Brownie recipe in week 2 Natrona's recipe diary. This is free of eggs, gluten and sugar. And I'm trying to create videos. Tried adding music and adding my IG avatar. Needs work and for me, sure didn't come easy. 7/12 I added a humidifier to the tent yesterday to bring VPD in line. It's getting too hot and with low humidity, the vpd is bordering on the red zone. Temps are heating hotter here so our a/c has to work harder and still not doing the cooling necessary. It is also cooling the tent by about 5 degrees. The drip trays were empty this morning. That means that after ferigating yesterday, any runoff in the bins was drank overnight. I did not top off the drip bins with tap water today. I'm letting them go a day or two without any water. I'm seeing more new tufts of hairs on lower buds. Yay.👍 7/13 water only and pictures. Also made osteoarthritis lotion.. week 3 Natrona's recipes 7/14 checking in. The girls are doing fine. No water today and bins are dry. Bobbing along, no vertical growth this week. A little more leaf tip nutrient damage so I diluted the nutrient water down. A few brown pistils, say 5 %, if I was a betting man I'd say 3 weeks till harvest. Expect my crystal ball prediction will be well off the mark!

The plant looks super healthy and strong, I'm gonna start giving this lady a low bushy shape from now on, she was getting really tall and she's in a balcony so can't take the risk.

11/21/24 Short facts: - Watered: 1 x 0.5L, 1 x 0.75L, 1 x 1.5L, 1 x 1.75L — 3.5L - VPD @ 1.4 — raised by 0.1 - Light @ 80% ~700 to 1050 PPFD - BioBizz Bio-Bloom increased to 3ml/L - BioBizz Bio-Grow increased to 3ml/L - Getting colder! At night between 18 to 19°C --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- She isn’t doing well, and her condition has worsened this week. Most of her leaves are now yellowing, with some completely dying off. I’m attempting to save her by ordering a special fertilizer designed to increase nitrogen, as well as provide magnesium and other essential minerals. I plan to feed her with it tomorrow. If that doesn’t work, I’ll have to accept that she’s dying. Unfortunately, she has also lost some of her fruity aroma, and the smell is no longer as strong... I’ve seen reports from other growers about the AvT, showing cases of senescence, but it usually occurred only toward the very end. So, we’ll see if this is just a phenotype with an unusually early onset of senescence. She’s definitely harder to grow than I initially expected. Since the weather is getting quite cold for the region - and we’ve already had a bit of snow - the cellar where my grow tent is set up is cooling down, with nighttime temperatures dropping to 18–19°C. Therefore, I’ve ordered some heat mats, which should arrive tomorrow. I’m aiming to stabilize the root temperature at around 22°C consistently, so the nights won’t be too cold anymore. I’ll go into more detail in next week’s update.
