Week 8 is this the final week? We shall see, but my new phone made it so I cannot connect my old USB microscope. I checked the trichomes before I got rid of the phone and we were 80% cloudy 18% clear and about 2% amber. I’ve ordered in a new microscope. Once I receive it I’ll upload some trichome shots. These two girls have gotten into "that's a big b*tch" territory! Absolutely massive plants just short of four feet tall and taking up half of the 4x8. Got their first haircut mid week, stripping off all of the lower third small branches and a large amount of inner fan leaves. They didn't skip a beat and just kept praying every day and chugging nutrient mix. Bud sites everywhere, hope these girls start lifting weights in preparation for all the buds their about to pack on. It has been another amazing week of the plants growing. I have been watching as the Fruity Freak leaves become progressively more fern-like, and ornamental as a result! Based on my Banizzle grows, I knew I needed to understand plant nutrients in a more meaningful way if I wanted these plants to thrive. So, I decided to get a soil test (see Ref. 1 below on how to perform a test) to understand what nutrients my plants needed. The report I received advised that I needed to add 200 lbs/acre of nitrogen, 150 lbs/acre of phosphorus, and 190 lbs/acre of potassium (see picture labeled Pic.1 (FYI you can't see these images unless you login to growdiaries)). I then researched what to do with my results (Ref. 2 helped), and I figured out that my nutrient needs of 200-150-190 fall close to a 2-1-2 ratio. I then looked at different types of organic fertilizers (see Ref. 3 and Ref. 4) and considered that I already had a 3-10-5 fertilizer (Vermibloom) on hand. I discovered Dr Earth’s Alfalfa Meal is 2-1-2 and includes beneficial bacteria and mycorrhizae (to promote healthy plant growth and disease resistance). However, I knew I would be low on nitrogen if I only used those two fertilizers. Therefore, I decided to buy some blood meal (12-0-0). I also liked that blood meal is more fast acting while the other two are more moderate. I hunted around for a solid fertilizer calculator and found an amazing tool from the University of Georgia Extension (Ref. 5). I entered all three fertilizers into the calculator, and it kicked out the exact amount of each fertilizer I needed to apply to 1 square foot (see Pic. 2). As I am using 10-gallon fabric pots (that can hold 1.5 cubic feet, but I put stone on the bottom and there’s space left at the top) I decided to use the one square foot application rate as I can always add more later, but I can’t take it away. Not only did I want to understand the nutrients I needed, but I also wanted to understand the structure of the soil (as it was not included in my test results). North Dakota State University has a nice page that discusses this (Ref. 6), and I performed a soil ribbon test (see Video 1) based on this information. I determined my soil to be medium textured (which is great), but I have seen occasional water pooling on the surface, suggesting that it may be more of a medium-fine. This means adding peat moss, coco coir, or other amendments might improve drainage (and plant hydration) and allow for roots to grow more easily. In the long run, I plan to use compost to enhance the soil structure and nutrients. I filled the bottom of my 10-gallon fabric pots with a ½” of pea stone to allow for drainage (Pic. 3). I then partially filled two 5-gallon buckets with topsoil from near where I will plant (but not in an area the roots will reach). I used a digital scale to measure the amount of fertilizers recommended by the calculator (Pic. 4, 5, and 6) and added it to one of the 5-gallon buckets (see Pic. 7). I mixed the fertilizers into the soil as evenly as possible (Pic. 8 and 9). I then poured a two-inch layer of non-fertilized soil, then peat moss, and then fertilized soil (in a roughly 2:1:1 ratio) and blended them together. I repeated this until the pot was full (getting additional soil as needed), and then I repeated the process for the other three pots. I set the filled fabric pots in my garage (Pic. 10) for two days to allow any upset bugs to flee into my garage instead of my house. I then moved the pots (wrapping them in a contractor garbage bag to prevent making a mess) into the room with the grow light. I placed a board on top of the fabric pots to insulate the plants (in their smaller pots) from the cold soil (Pic. 11). Once the soil in the fabric pots reaches room temperature, I will transplant. (Ref. 1) This video shows the method I used to take a soil sample. I didn’t have a field to test, so I took four samples from the area where I will eventually plant outdoors and blended them together. Last Week of Vegging, Week 1 flowering, small video I found of tent #2 under the 650w Viparspectra. Picked the best 6 looking clones from OG Kush #3 and moved them to 20-24 liter pots.

Feb 18th Changed out nutrients This week I added 18l of nutes with slightly stronger mix at 75% strength. I will change on next weeks update Feb 21st Plants have used approximately 6 litres since the 18th They are all looking healthy but for some reason they aren’t growing in length that much. They are producing many new branches but the branches are becoming to compacted close together.

Os enseño la primera semana de esta farm cheese de genofarm, una semilla con más de 3 años de conservación, tuvo un germinado en 48 horas sin problemas aparentes. La introducimos a 0,5 cms en medio del sustrato, una maceta pequeña unas semanas mientras Coje fuerza. Alle Samen haben gekeimt, jedoch sind zwei der drei Keimlinge auf unerklärliche Weise gespargelt.. während der Übrige normal, wie aus dem Bilderbuch heranwuchs. Das ungute Bauchgefühl ließ mich zwei weitere Samen (als Backup) zum Keimen bringen.. kurz darauf knickte mir der erste Spargel ab. Seltsamerweise hielt sich der andere mithilfe einer Wäscheklammer (universell nutzbar im grow, für mich unverzichtbar). So habe ich nun 4 mal Sour Diesel in unterschiedlichsten Stadien, Größen und Formen 😂 solche Voraussetzungen sind zwar weniger gut, aber ich werde mein Bestes geben, um die Ladys durch Vegi+Blüte zu begleiten. Dünger, Boden, ph, ec, könnt ihr dem Protokoll entnehmen, jedoch ändert sich diesbezüglich nichts zu den vorherigen Grows. Heute bekamen alle einen neuen Topf (1,5L) und sollen nochmal schön wurzeln, sodass sie dann in ihren finalen 27L Topf umziehen können. Das sollte in 10 Tagen soweit sein.. Aber wer weiß das schon, bei so einem Start 😂😂 Wünscht mir Glück!

SONG OF THE WEEK: Joyner Lucas - I'm not racist 👈 play it twice 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 ------- Day 72 - The ladies are packing nice nugs , the supercropped one is looking like she still wanna produce new flowers and new pistills 😁, the nugs are hard , really hard and smelling a sweet mango/exotic flavor but it's stealth as you have to be close to smell it. The "christmas three" one is more sensitive to high RH and a bit of mold were removed out of 3 spots so it's fair to say that she's not really strong in front of the others but the buds are hard rocks and smelling really good like mango & sweet all around the garden 😍. The last one got the nicest bud structure , likes tons of little calyxs stuck together but she's also the one with less smell. ------ Day 73 - 21.09 - 27 days left before the harvest so today will be their last feeding with Greenhouse Hybrids powder to have enough nutrients for the last days before tap water on day 76/77 then a full flush on day 80 until day 100. The Ec were 1.45 before my PK boost and 1.62 after with 6.4 PH for that last feeding 🌺🌹 ------ Day 77 - Last day of the week , they start to yellowing a bit , the next flush will hopfully increase the yellowing process to get naturally rid of the chlorophyll. Small But Fearless 🌱💥 Divine Seeds Competition V2.0 Here we go! The first week is done and my Auto Pablo Escobar is already showing signs of a strong and determined character. 😎🌿 After sprouting well in her Jiffy, she was carefully moved into a 20L fabric pot, where she’ll have plenty of room to grow and show off. 💪 I added mycorrhiza directly at the transplant site to give her roots a boost, and she’s already pushing her second set of true leaves. Structure looks compact and promising—definitely one to watch closely. 👀 Here’s what went into her care this week: 🔸 Transplanted to 20L fabric pot 🔸 Mycorrhiza added to the root zone 🔸 Watered twice with BioBizz RootJuice for smooth rooting 🔸 pH adjusted to 6.5 I’m keeping her environment stable and stress-free, and she’s responding beautifully so far. Starting next week, she’ll also get some compost tea to support early microbial activity and strengthen her base. Let’s see where this one goes—Auto Pablo looks like she’s got plans! 🔥🌿

Overall it was a good harvest, it could have been much better if I hadn't switched to the Cultivator Series line... But as soon as my order arrives I'll be back to Athena again 🙌

Muy buenas a todos! pues familia hemos pasado la primera semana del trasplante, contento ha pesar de asumir las consecuencias del uso de spurzit para eliminar unos acaros que ya espero estar erradicado (x3 aplicaciones en 2 semanas, 2 leves y una contundente) usamos preventivo de diatomeas! que con el riego se va eliminando pero ni tan mal. van avanzando y veremos como avanzan con intención de ser su ultima semana en vegetativo :D

📆 Week 13, 16-22 April 2024 16-20 April - Let the plant grow. 21 April - Increased light power to 100%. 22 April - Let grow and observe for signs of light stress. This week her bud began to grow in length, so I decided it was time to turn up the light intensity to help manage this process. This will bring the DLI to 60. Understanding this is a high level I do closely watch and observe. Because the light has increased the heat will raise some, so there may be a chance of burn to look out for. I dont expect either one because of the distance from plant to light, but am aware. Her water consumption will also increase. 🍶 16 April changed nutrient solution 🍽️ 16 April updated feeding schedule 💧 Using reverse osmosis water with EC/TDS at 0 🐉 Nutrient Solution EC 2.6 at 69 degree F 🔆 Light power at 100%, DLI 55-60 canopy coverage at 12hrs 😤 Using General Hydroponics, HGC728040, Dual Diaphragm Air Pump, 320 GPH That is it for this week. * ********* Week 11 - June 20 to 26, 2020 - Days 71 to 77 from germination *********** * It is the end of flush week and she went into darkness on Wednesday night, day 75, for two days. Saturday will be harvest day and start and the dry process👍 This week she continued to fill in and she also pushed out more frosty tricombs!! The fade happened this week more and she fed off of more of the nutrients within the plant.....perfect😃......would like a little more even but she was ready based on tricombs. Would like to have seen the lower leaves a little more yellow but its good. I am feeling very strongly that the big part of the pH issues this run was a change in feed water. I have always used bottled RO water for all my grows, except outdoors, but this grow I switched to tap water. Dechlorinated the water with air stone and gave it 24 hours min before using. Wanted to save some money and tired of lugging bottles downstairs a couple of times a week☹️ This is worked out nicely and a lot more convenient. However, the city must be putting some crap in the water that is causing issues in my media and raises the pH after the watering. Out of the tap it is 8.4pH and 275ppm. Since ppm were not too bad in my opinion I moved forward without filtering the water.......oops🤬🤬🤬 Out of options on what is causing the issue, I switched back to RO water late last week........all the girls are happier!!!! F......missed the cause for weeks. Always learning from this plant and my own mistakes to get better every run😉👍 Also wanted to add a little more stress to girl to help push out some increased resin. I drilled a 5/16” hole into the main stem to cause her stress. I did this rather than trying to break a branch and will see it goes this run. Sterilized a new bit in Alcohol and went for it. They went into darkness about a couple of hours later. Excited to see what happens when she comes out to get chopped😃😃 Not really a lot more to add this week as it was mainly looking at the tricombs and her buds. The pH will impact the harvest but she has been fun to grow and very resilient to pest and bug issues as well as grower curve balls. As always.......nice job Sweet Seeds....... SWS56 is very solid and I look forward to running her again one day. Beautiful little girl and makes me smile😃😃😃 Little more detail...... June 20/20 - Day 71 - Rezin and Liquid Weight @ 2ml/L = 285ppm and 4.0pH - 8L given to get a good flush....pH still running around 7.4 - Runoff in pots already were 7.9pH and 685ppm. - after 8L water runoff was 7.4pH and 360ppm. - she is 20” tall and 24” wide. - a number of clear tricombs but more becoming cloudy. June 21/20 - Day 72 - dry out day. - buds are firming up......squeezed a couple🧐 June 22/20 - Day 73 - Rezin @ 1ml/L = 120ppm and pH the water to 2.7!!!!!!!!! - Given 2L watering. - No runoff water and I am good with that as I want the low pH water to stay in the medium. - her frost levels are really coming out now.....was able to lower tent temps to 75 degrees and 51% humidity......its been raining a bit so damn humidity has been high. June 23/20 - Day 74 - 2L plain water feed - 80ppm and pH to 2.4!!!!!! - not excited about these crazy low pH numbers but doing what we can - her tops are getting more pointy now and ripening nicely - leaves continue to fade......she is close - checking tricombs, I think we are done and tomorrow will be her last day so that I can take down on Saturday. June 24/20 - Day 75 - 2L plain water feed - 80ppm and pH to 3.0 - Going into darkness tonight so this was her last bit of moisture. - drilled a hole into the stem.....was going to do a couple of holes but not trying this method before I decided to leave it with one hole. - into darkness tonight So we finish up the week with her in the dark.
