The Hog is a classic old-school indica strain bred by T.H. Seeds in Amsterdam from unknown genetics presumably from North American Indica. Known for its heavy narcotic effects and outstanding resin production, it has remained a favorite among indica lovers for decades. The plants grow short and bushy with wide, dark green leaves, making them easy to manage indoors. They show good resistance to pests and mold. Flowering takes only about 58 days, which is fast for such a dense indica. Under optimal conditions, The Hog delivers high yields, often 400-600 g/m² indoors. The buds are extremely compact, rock-hard, and covered in thick layers of sticky resin, giving them a shiny, almost wet appearance. In cooler temperatures, they can turn beautiful dark purple to near-black. The aroma is rich and classic: earthy hashish, sweet musk, spicy notes, and deep pine-kush. The flavor is smooth yet intense, reminiscent of traditional Afghani hash with sweet and spicy undertones. With THC levels between 18–23%, The Hog produces a very strong, sedating body high that leads to deep relaxation and couch-lock. It is highly effective for chronic pain, muscle spasms, insomnia, and severe stress, making it ideal for evening or nighttime use. Even today, The Hog stands as a benchmark for old-school indicas — combining fast flowering, high yields, heavy resin, and powerful narcotic effects.
