Week 7 of flower in the books and we’ve had to adjust to the height issues in an attempt to salvage what we can of the largest mains on the cheese. Really should’ve done this 2 weeks ago and while it’d be preferable not to supercrop this late in flower - there really wasn’t a choice. It was done early in the week and the plant is none the worse for wear. On the whole, the nute burn issue has been rectified and while the damage isn’t massive, it’s still really obvious. For all the above reasons, We’re really not going to get that late flower look with this plant. Kinda sad there. Otherwise, the plants have begun to colour up and were quickly coming in to the harvest window. At this rate it looks like the gorilla cookies and cherry Bomb will go off first, with the cheese to follow and the lemon haze last. The GC is absolutely covered in trichs. We expect a great finish for this one. She’s unlike any pheno I’ve seen on here - ducksfooted with a pineapple shape to her heads but again, got it where it counts. The cherry Bomb is similar but also true to her description - huge cherry diesel scent coming off this plant. She’s chunky and sticky too so very pleased she’s made something of herself. The lemon haze is developing And rounding out slower. Trich production is moderate and I suspect she’s got a week longer than the rest. We’re getting there - maybe a week to 10 days. Almost time for jazz hands👍😎. Background/Repetitive Nonsense The strain line up on this grow is look’n quite saucy 😈. We’ve got 2 FB strains this time around - Gorilla Cookies (seems we always have some GSC cross in the works). Mainly because the colours look stellar and remind me of a sugar breathe we did last year that was 🔥. The other FB is their original Cheese strain... because we already smoked all our cheese... and we really like our cheese...😉. Emerald triangle was kind enough to include a freebie of Lemon Haze. Wasn’t really big on the list but we haven’t done a haze strain to write home about yet so worth a go👍. The last is a Cherry auto from Bomb seeds that we’ve been trying to get to for months. Let’s just hope that she’s not a dud like the last bean. The new digs for this run are courtesy MarsHydro👊. Their 2x4 single grow tent, paired with a shiny new 240w QB courtesy ViparSpectra. These folks were kind enough to discuss a collaboration and as a result, here we are to test out the gear with an inaugural run of autos. Each week, we’ll try to expand on some of the benefits of each, as well as any limiting factors or considerations that need attention when pondering purchase. Already I can say that both are high quality products in terms of overall craftsmanship. MarsHydro 2x4 Grow Tent: Excellent construction in terms of durability. Reinforced stitching on the zippers and corners ensures zero tearing. Conveniently placed screen vents and intake/exhaust ports. The ceiling exhaust port only exists on the right side. Perfect for me but not great if you’re running exhaust from the top on the left side (left side wall port makes up for this however). The aluminum frame is rigid enough to support the weight of the lights and accessories. Once you have some weight in the tent, she’s go’n nowhere and you can assemble and break it down in record time if moving or stashing the grow op. Only limiting factors I’ve noticed is that temp. Control will be an issue for a tent. It just doesn’t have the same insulating ability as a wood cabinet or other permanent enclosed space. No worries, this is offset by a small desktop heater and keeps the environment exactly where desired. The other issue was a production problem - the ceiling vent was accidentally stitched into the corner seams on the assembly line. Again, no real issue - just pulled it out with no damage or fraying to the tent or port👍. Closest comparable to it that I’ve seen would be spiderfarmers line of qbs. They feature the same top-o-the-line components and roughly similar spectrums. Where VS takes the advantage is in the convenience of the dimmer nob which is easily accessible and works great at 50% with no strobing👍. The heat sink is also larger which contributes to lower temps. That’s not a good thing in my case but beneficial for most folks. I can already say that this will be a great fixture through all stages of growth. Where I know this light will excel will be in the veg. Stage for sure. Dimming function gives seedlings a much better chance of success with the ability to use lower lighting levels early on and the coverage area on a 240w is great. The average grower will find this panel suitable and fitting to their needs in a 2x4 grow space although I’d suggest 2 units if going any larger than that. The total output in this space equates to about 30w/sq.ft. Which is a decent amount of coverage based on power vs. Growprint. Ideal for veg. Certainly but, in flower - I tend to run closer to 50-60w/sq.ft to achieve higher yields. Again, similar fixtures have performed admirably in the past and while this wouldn’t be considered an “entry-level” fixture, I’d recommend that any grower new to the game not skimp on lighting and start with one of these. The price points are a great value for quality LED tech. These days, so there’s little reason to even consider a lesser fixture👍. I have no detail on limiting factors for this light as yet but have heard that stock branded fixtures don’t necessarily incorporate enough red diodes. I’ve seen no issue myself but confess - I’m no lighting guru. Another Veg week down and heading into flowering... 'Good Girl' is looking great. She has good color and pre-flower development so I'm really happy with where she's at since she's basically on par with the Euphoria as far as size and shape. 'Problem Child' however is... Well you guessed it, having problems😜 I made a short video this week to show you what's going on. If anyone has any recommendations that would be appreciated, otherwise I'll give her more dolomite lime and some trace minerals to see what that does, since she seemed to respond well to the Lime before. I would just like to get her sorted since this is a crucial time. It's very frustrating since both of these plants are the same strain raised in the same soil given the same nutrients and the same environmental conditions and the difference between them😩 I think more than one factor may be causing the problem. She did get a little heat stressed early on just like Euphoria, but unlike Euphoria she never quite fully recovered from it. Some might argue that it's nute burn but I don't think so given her chlorosis. I think it's likely a nute ratio that's off, and after doing a little research it may very well be a Potassium Deficiency. Therefore adding kelp meal would be a good bet and I was already planning on starting to add in molasses now that we're switching over to flower. I just hope I can get her figured out and into a decent groove so that she'll produce some nice flowers🙏

First time running hydroponics. And I’ll say it’s pretty easy although running into problems with ph rising cause of not using ro water so it started getting a potassium deficiency. I think I’m prepared for next run.

Again a easy week...just refilled NS every 2 days (about 20L each time) PH was constant @5.9-6.0 and EC was 1.3-1.2 all week It's very humid inside the tent and i was afraid of mold so i decided to defoil alot to reduce transpiration...and actually found mold on one of the buds...i removed all mold widely..like 10g of bud... I removed like 25% of leaves...almost all big leaves are gone now Set up another ventilator from below...so now 4 vents inside Replaced 80L NS (half of the rez) at the end of the week 2 weeks till harvest

Growing for FastBuds420 has truly been an honor their genetics are truly Best in the world in my book strange our name beautifully mimicking the smells and appearances of their names. Pineapple express is one . They nailed the name right on the head. This plant truly smells just like a pineapple and almost looks like a pineapple once the fade starts one of the biggest autos I’ve ever grown truly thankful for the opportunity to grow this plant FastBuds420. 4 Life 🌿💨💯

Starting week 3 with good growth on all three plants but plant 3 is doing the best, she has the longest branches and I've tried them downwards. I also trimmed-off the lowest leaves and branch/future bud sights. The girls look good and I look forward to another week of progress.

The big day is here! 😎 Today, March 28th, 104 days (15 weeks) after germination, I have harvested my first indoor photoperiod plant. It has been an incredible challenge, especially managing it in the middle of a winter environment, but the results speak for themselves. 📏 Harvest Data (Wet Weight) -Total Wet Weight: 56.5 grams (15.7g + 40.8g). -Final Height: 40 cm of pure density. -Status: Rock-hard buds and an impressive resin layer. -Dry Estimate: I estimate that after water loss (60-70% less), the final dry weight will be between 14 and 17 grams, given how dense the buds are and the cold conditions we’ve faced. 🌡️ Process Summary -Managing a grow with lows of 12°C for my first indoor photoperiod experience has been difficult. I am aware that a climate control system would have been ideal, but the budget is what it is 😆. Despite the limitations, using lukewarm water for irrigation and controlling the lamp height were vital. This plant has been a great learning experience, and I am sure the next one will be much better, applying everything I’ve discovered during these 15 weeks. Now, on to a slow and controlled dry so the flavor is as spectacular as its look! I want to wrap up this diary by thanking everyone who has joined me during these 15 weeks. Your likes, and comments have been an extra motivation to pull this Critical through despite the cold challenges. It has been an incredible learning journey, and I couldn't be happier with the outcome of my first indoor photoperiod plant. See you all very soon with the Cream Caramel and that Main-Lining I have planned! Happy growing and happy smoking to everyone! 🌿💨
