She’s cruising through late flower now with strong stacking, steady trichome development, and some beautiful natural fading. The canopy stayed balanced and open this week — no new LST applied, but I did remove a few large fan leaves (3–4) to improve airflow and reduce the risk of moisture buildup. Buds are visibly frosting up across all sites, and I’m starting to see early signs of purpling on some of the upper fans, which matches what I’ve seen in the breeder photos. Lower fan leaves are beginning to fade and crisp at the edges — normal end-of-life senescence, nothing widespread or concerning. I continued alternating feedings: watered with Big Bud (5 ml/gal) mid-week, then gave Cal-Mag (1 ml/gal) on Day 63 along with a refill of the auto-watering base. Temps ranged between 86–88°F with humidity steady around 39–42%, which seems to be keeping everything dry, resin-rich, and stress-free. Week 10 starts tomorrow — I’ll begin checking trichomes more closely and start prepping for flush and harvest. Still smelling sweet and staying strong!

I am literally delighted with this strain. We know it is a classic usa strain par excellence, and for sure Fastbuds had access to a super clone to create it but it is really top. I have grown some Californian fem OGs in the past and it looks a lot like us, in a small way, of course, but the shape of the flowers and the particular way of distributing the hair make it unique. Lookin good, no more herms so far as I’ve tightened things up hopefully that’s the last of them for good. I installed a 4Inch AC infinity fan and filter as an intake so I have been able to close all of the vents. At this point the leaf strip has proven to be a solid method, I have nothing to compare bud size at this point but just the extra space it opened up is a plus. I’m sure the lowers will be a little more firm and the plants obviously haven’t had to be fed as often as usual so its saving time, water and nutrients. The added microbes have also allowed me to keep my ppm around 1000 instead of 1080ish without any sign of deficiencies. The Mandarin cookies x Dionysus has a little cal-mag issue but that was a trait from the mother which out of 10+ grows all had a cal-mag deficency. PK boost was added for this week as lower fans were starting to show serious PK deficiency. Defoliated about 25% of each plant, basically the lower fans/growth that was not getting light. Added some CFLs in a tent dark spot
