2/4: Photo session day! The squattier of the two picked up a lot less of the sativa genes. She's gonna be shorter, but she's in a big hurry compared to her lankier sister. The taller one, like most other sativa dominant strains I've grown, really doesn't like being fed so often. At this point, I'll probably just feed her every other feeding day, and on plain watering days I'll give her cal-mag and flavor/terpene enhancers, and maybe a little beastie bloomz. I had a total infestation of Cattus (felis) which I documented in my photos. Eradication seems impossible, so I'm opting to allow a degree of predation, but hoping trichome production will, at least, deter them soon.😁 2/5: I fed everybody today except these girls and my two #3's..they usually protest after a full-strength feeding. I just gave them water with cal-mag, bembe, signal, humic acid, and a little Open Sesame. I also sprayed everybody down with Axiom harpin proteins for the last time today. I made a DIY CO2 generator today using a 5 gallon cat litter bucket, a small aquarium pump, some air line tubing, and a bubble stone, plus 6 cups of sugar and 30 grams of wine yeast in 2 gallons of warm water. I put the tube where the CO2 is exhausted up against the back of the oscillating fan that aims down over the plants so they are being constantly forcefully bombarded with high levels of CO2(1300+ppm) from above. I set the ac infinity controller to allow the temps to climb up to 89f before the fan turns on. 2/6: These girls are a much lighter shade of green than anybody else in the garden. I bought some Gro-Pro pot risers to elevate the pots so that they will dry out faster..seem pretty effective. 2/7: Now they look deficient in N and K...ffs! I'll go back to feeding them with everyone else, but will make up a batch of weaker nutes for them. I foliar fed with big bloom and tiger bloom. 2/8: I ordered a second 6" AC Infinity fan to connect to my controller, some ducting, and a diffuser which I'll mount to the wall, down near the floor. The fan unit will be in another closet, adjacent to the garden closet, and I'll run ducting up through that closet ceiling into the attic, with a filter on the end to keep bugs and particulates out. For the next 6 weeks or so, it will provide a supply of colder fresh air. I did the math, and it will now only take about 1 minute and 40 seconds to completely exchange the air in the closet. Depending on the outside air temp at the time, it should take anywhere between 8 and 20 minutes for the closet to heat back up to 80f and the fans to kick back on again. This Spring, on days when it's not cooler than 72f, I'll disconnect the duct in the closet and stretch it into that bedroom, clipped to the window unit air conditioner output, cranked down as low as it will go. This Summer, I'm gonna just run a pair of the quantum boards and grow 4 or 5 autos in there, but this should help keep the temps cooler in summer as well, without dedicating an air conditioner to the grow op.🙏 2/9: I foliar fed them with grow big, big bloom, and tiger bloom and checked moisture in their pots. They're due for a good watering tomorrow.

Weekly update on these three. One is pretty much done and is ready to chop this week where the other two aren't far behind. The dense tight buds are pungent as can be. Definitely one that flowers super fast it seemed like and not to hard to grow. All in all Happy Growing

I have her nestled in between a bunch of other autoflowers that are one month old now so she's got lots of company! Since sprouting the Zkittlez has bee doing exceptional, with good color and vigor. I was a little concerned about her when she first sprouted as her first leaf set had a funky color to them and I feared that she wouldn't survive. But low and behold, when she opened up her leaves they turned a beautiful green and she's been looking healthy ever since! Today I gave her her first water/feed with 20oz of well water with a base ppm of 100, to which was added the following Dutch Pro nutrients: Grow 'A' & 'B' @ 10ml/g, Multi Total @ 7.6 ml/g, Take Root @ 3.8 ml/g, Silica Von Liebig’s Special @ 1.2 ml/g along with Earth Juice's Oily Can @ 5 ml/g. After adding the nutrients I ph'd the solution to 6.1 @ 74℉ 11/10- The Zkittlez is doing really well in her little Popcorn Bucket! I didn't water her today, but will wait until tomorrow to avoid over watering her. 11/12- Yesterday I went ahead and watered/fed the Zkittlez with 20oz of well water with a base ppm of 100, to which was added the following Dutch Pro nutrients: Grow 'A' & 'B' @ 10ml/g, Multi Total @ 7.6 ml/g, Take Root @ 3.8 ml/g, Silica Von Liebig’s Special @ 1.2 ml/g along with Earth Juice's Oily Can @ 5 ml/g. After adding the nutrients I ph'd the solution to 6.0 @ 75℉. The Zkittlez Auto is doing great, has good color, vigor and already has her third leaf set emerging! 11/14- Today when I checked her pot the Zkittlez auto was still pretty moist so I'll be waiting until tomorrow to water/feed her. The Zkittlez Auto is doing fantastic without any visible health issues, has good color and now has her third leaf set almost fully emerged! Hey guys! I hope quarantine is going well for everyone! And remember to stay at home if you can ✊ Regarding my babies, this week's update was OK. Nothing really happened besides that I once again missed my watering schedule 😟 and heat was not being kind. The tent reached a maximum temp. of 32° C (or 89.6° F) which as a lot but sadly there's little I can do about that 😢 There's a photo this week that shows how Pistachio looks after I didn't water her in the right day, the recovery is impressive! I also increased the amount of PK and gladly there are no signs of over fertilization as well, so I'll keep doing this! 😃 Trichomes are developing, some of them are white-ish but most of them are still transparent. They are getting there! I also learned a new technique for my macro photographies so probably they'll be better this week compared to previous ones! I'm eager to know what you all think! 😊 Anyway, see you all in my next update! 👋

I'd like to say. This is prolly the 2nd week into flower. For being what it is, I feel like there doing well. Will feed tomorrow there last feed was about 5 days ago but remember I'm going heavy with feed and letting them drink everything else thru the bottom. I also do have microbs in this soil. And add them after every feed.

Things seem to be on track. Humidity continues to be my biggest challenge - hoping to to make it to the finish line without any incidents of mould. 🙏 Started cutting back on the nutrients. I must say I'm happy she's responded so positively to everything I've thrown at her as I've been a bit more aggressive with the fertilizers than with the original plan I had set out to follow. Hoping to see buds fattening up more over the next two weeks. 🌲

24/05/2023 - 78 days since my little girl sprouted from a seed🌱 Tenth week of my Red Mandarin 🍊🍊🍊 Nutrients: Advanced Nutrients Flawless Finish - 2ml - I rinse the plants two weeks before harvesting so that they have a clean taste and smell 😋👃🌴 -------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------- Lights: I use a Mars Hydro TS1000 - 150w full spectrum, great light for vegetation and flowering use 💡💡 Training: No training is needed this week In general: The tangerine is really beautiful, even though it doesn't have red buds. Day 43 - First day of week 7 today and she looks really good just not sure if she’s really starting to flower yet. I’m hoping this is just typical of the GC strain. Day 44 - No major changes, she’s growing and I’m loving the looks of her. Will continue uploading daily pictures. Day 45 - She’s looking really good and budding more and more each day. Gave her straight pH’d water today and tomorrow and will give her another feeding on Saturday. She’s drinking almost a gallon of water a day. Day 46 - Things are looking good with this girl. Bud sites are growing daily and this thing is a beauty. Gave her another feeding of just pH’d water and will “feed” her tomorrow. Day 47 - ALL is looking good and she’s looking purdy. Gave her a feeding with the foxfarm nutes today. Did a true measurement to the biggest branch and she’s at 25.5”. Will continue to measure each day to see how much she’s growing in a 24 hour period. Day 48 - Looking gorgeous and still stretching. Grew another two inches and is sitting at 27.5” right now. She’s really starting to fill in now and looking forward to the next few weeks. Day 49 - The way thing thing is growing, she’s gonna be a beast. Gave her straight pH’d water tonight and will give her a feeding tomorrow. Looks like she finally stopped stretching, sitting at 27.5” still so hopefully she’ll start putting on the weight.

Bertha is the weakest of my six plants. Final LST done day 36. Day 37: More of the same. Bertha's days are numbered. Day 39: I've just about had enough. This plant has been utterly disappointing. Day 40: Almost pulled her yesterday. However until or unless I desperately need the space I've decided to let her trundle along. I think <10g is the potential yield at this point. However I've been surprised before. In my first grow I had bare sticks that yielded 60 and 70g dry so who knows? Day 41: Slight smell. Smells good... Bertha has a reprieve. Day 42: End of the week for tiny Bertha she's fully flowering for sure but not much is happening. I might drop down to weekly updates for this lady, I am less and less interested in her. Looking back on this grow, I predicted in week 1 (day 7) that she would be stunted, so I do not know why I have allowed myself any anxiety around this grow. The only reason that I had some encouragement was because Karen recovered so well, but I did not damage Karen's roots on day 7... really of all the various mistakes in this grow, that was the one that was most impactful. With that said, I do think I was sent a runty little seed. Anyway, I am calm about Bertha now... she will do what she will do. My only slight irritation is that she is in a 40l pot and she would probably be fine in a 10l pot. I have space for 3 more big pots... I have two Auto Purple OG Punch germinating (fingers crossed), and they will get a pot each and the final pot will contain some new F1 seeds from Royal Queen Seeds. So Bertha is safe, I am already growing more plants than I planned to and I have to stop somewhere or I will end up with plants coming out of my ears.
