Eternity Grow Cup - Week 11 VEG Report This is a pivotal week in our Eternity Grow Cup journey as we wrap up VEG and prepare to transition into FLOWER. Our goal has been to ensure that the plants are thriving and optimized for the next phase. This report will detail everything that took place during this crucial week. Mass Defoliation & Structural Training We began the week with an extensive defoliation session. Every leaf with a stem was removed to clear space for optimal light penetration and airflow. This process was done mostly by hand, clicking them off in the opposite direction of growth, while some stubborn ones were snipped with scissors. By the end, it felt like we had taken out nearly half a kilo of leaves! The room now looks clean, structured, and ready to fill out the ScroggNet. To further enhance the plant structure, branches were attached to the pots, allowing for better horizontal growth. This technique helps maximize canopy exposure and prepares the plants for even light distribution once flowering begins. Defoliation before flowering is a key step as it reduces overcrowding, improves airflow, and sets the plants up for efficient energy use in the next phase. Light Schedule & Adjustments This week, we introduced a subtle but effective light adjustment. While still maintaining an 18-hour light cycle, we initiated a 15-minute delay with the whites, allowing the reds to start first. This gradual shift signals the plants that a change is coming. Similarly, at the end of the light cycle, the whites turn off 15 minutes earlier, leaving the reds on for an extended period. This strategy mimics natural sunrise and sunset, helping the plants transition more smoothly into flowering. Additionally, at the end of the week, we will be implementing 48 hours of darkness before the official flip to flower. This method has worked exceptionally well in past grows, helping plants recognize the transition and encouraging a strong start to flowering. However, it's important to emphasize that this is a personal technique and not a universal rule. Every grower should experiment with different methods to find what works best for their specific environment. Environmental Conditions & Challenges Currently, our temperature is at 27°C with 60% humidity, resulting in a VPD of 1.50. While slightly higher than the ideal for VEG, our CO2 levels are over 1000 ppm, and the light intensity is at 570 PPFD, making it a manageable balance. The solution pH is 5.79 (essentially 5.8), EC is 1.38, and water temperature is 17.7°C. One challenge we are facing is maintaining optimal reservoir temperatures. Currently, it's a bit low at 17.7°C, and we are exploring solutions to raise it slightly. However, the medium temperature sits at 22.2°C, which is a good range. The humidifier is still in use, though it struggles to increase humidity further, so we are working with what we have to keep the VPD in check. ICL-300s Integration The ICL-300 lights are now fully active. Unlike the last grow, where we introduced them later, this time they are on from the start of flowering prep. This adjustment is an experiment to see if the plants respond better to an early introduction. Learning is at the core of this journey, and each grow offers new insights. Whether this proves to be the optimal strategy or not, it will be a valuable lesson for future grows. AlienZ Automatic - Greenhouse Seed Co. Day 53 - watered with 2L of RO tap water, mixed with the defined nutrients and pH'd to 6.3. I wasn't sure how she was going to perform in such a small pot after the topping, but she has done so well!! She has six clear budsites that are well spaced out and even at canopy level 💪🏻 she is also starting to develop her bud sites so her aroma has started to fill the tent 🙌🏻 so far I'm really impressed with this one! She is showing signs of over watering, even though I have let her dry back to almost 5% moisture content of the soil, so I'm going to let her dry back to 2% and then only water her with 1L for her next watering in about 4 days time 🤞🏻

Dry sift is from the whole run, just leftovers of trimming. Better than I expected. Melts in your hands and round about ~10g (Leftovers of 0.64m²@220W max.). Done with bubbling for a while, dry sift tower works good enough. She was well below the canopy, very small pot. So I am more than happy with the results. “We finally reached it.” — Eren Yeager

Hello growmies! Welcome to week six of An Epsilon Adventure! Massive thanks to both Shogun and Royal Queen Seeds for sponsoring this grow! So here we are at week six and every one of these girls are at a slightly different stage, it is quite fascinating to watch them develop one after the other. Today I made the last adjustment to the light possible. I removed the adjustable hangers and affixed a carabiner which I tightly tied to the top of the tent bar. There is about 1.5 inches of space between the top of the shade and the tallest part of the roof of the tent. Plant 1 is already taller than this, and it looks like plant 6 and maybe even plant 5 are going to join it. It's a madness. I am sure you have already looked at the photos but just in case you do what I do and read the diary first... Here is my assessment at the beginning of week 6: Plant 1: Height: 1st (137cm) - what can I say about this ridiculous plant? Day 36... 137cm tall. I have had to raise the light to as high as it is physically possibly to raise it and it's still not high enough. She is done stretching now, she may add 3-5cm over the next week or so but I don't expect more than that, so her top of her main cola going to have to develop above the level of the light. Nothing I can really do, nothing wise anyway. What a monster plant. Maturation: 4th - early into flower - bud sites developing, pistils just starting to explode. Plant 2: Height: 4th (111cm) - this plant has been there or there abouts as the tallest plant for most of the grow, but she has topped out at 111cm. She will gain some during flower but not much more than a few centimetres. Very impressive plant, loads of bud sites, really big strong secondary branches. This one is going to be colas galore. Maturation: 3rd - well into flower - all white pistils Plant 3: Height: 6th (95cm) For some brief days the tallest plant in the room, she peaked early and is now the "shortest" at "only" 95cm for this "50-70cm" strain. She is utterly dwarfed by four of her five sisters in just about every department, being quite a bit smaller even than plant 4 (although I have removed the most lower nodes from this plant). Compared with her sisters she is almost a runt... except that she is 25cm taller than the strain top-end average and matches the maximal height of the previous tallest Epsilon F1 plant I am aware of. It's not that she is small, actually she's pretty big for an Epsilon F1, it's just that the rest of the girls are on another level altogether. Plants 1, 5 and 6 are all absolute beasts. Maturation: 1st - well into flower - first shades of brown in some pistils. Plant 4: Height: 5th (98cm) although only 3cm taller than plant 3, overall she is a much larger plant. Her secondary nodes are the same height as plant 3. Maturation: 2nd - well into flower - all white pistils Plant 5: Height: 3rd (113cm) - one of the two thick/short girls who have grown at a similar pace all along - she is further ahead than plant 6 but not by much and I think she will probably exceed 120cm this week, though I do not think she will outgrow plant 1 or 6. Maturation: 5th - early into flower - bud sites developing. Plant 6: Height: 2nd (120cm) - my predictions were correct about this girl and her continued growth. I now think she might actually outgrow plant 1, which is quite worrying. Maturation: 6th - early into flower - bud sites forming - by far the least mature plant of the six. ### Week 6 Day 2 23:00 30/7 Photographed. Raised the light. Rotated the plants. Inspected, measured and reported on each plant. ### Week 6 Day 3 23:00 31/7 It has not escaped my attention that the plants that are more advanced into flower have darkened and have some burnt tips. I need to flush them and lay off the base nutes a bit. On the grow itself, I just got twice as much yield with 1/3 fewer plants by switching to coco and CocoTek, I would count that a win. Zero stress so I was right, grow them without stress and you will be rewarded. Just the easiest best smelling little plant to grow. Always germs well and produces long as you treat her right. The 2x Northern Lights and 1x Critical have really stepped it up over the last stretch. The buds are noticeably fatter, denser, and frostier now, and the Northern Lights in particular are looking dialled in. Nice dark green leaves, solid tops, and a proper layer of trichomes building across the flowers and sugar leaves. The Critical is still the one fading the hardest, with more yellowing across the canopy, but the buds themselves are still developing well and stacking nicely. At this point I’m letting it ride. Overall, the tent is looking far more mature than it did just a week ago. Pistils are turning, calyxes are swelling, and the whole thing is starting to look like a proper finish is on the horizon. Stats so far: 💧 Watering: Every third day 🌡️ Temp: 26–28°C 💦 Humidity: 65% RH 📈 VPD: ~1.18 kPa 💡 Light: ~700 PPFD

bending down some branches with clips to see what happens. Otherwise i just let the plant do her thing.

Last few weeks have been fantastic and I can't wait to see how they all respond to the first big stress event. Topping any sites that are at canopy while letting the rest develop but keeping the best 6 primaries and keeping it nice and simple. 3/9 ok so I kept more than 6 on these, I think there's one of them that has 7 but the rest all have 8-9 main branches, if they were within 3-5" of the top of the canopy I just kept them, that much variation will even itself out with just some slight bending. 3/12: So I've topped all primaries once now, should be 14-18 new tops on all of these, I'm hoping to top again next week assuming they can keep growing 1" per day, that should give me an excellent structure for a big fat canopy in the flower room.

March 13, 2019 Update: Transplanted and moved 6 plants into the Flower room this weekend. I moved 4 Cherry clones, 1 DinaMed seedling and 1 CBD Medi Kush seedling. I also cut clones of the DinaMed and Cherry’s - 3 DinaMed & 12 Cherry clones (check for the new diary). The other clones and seedlings will remain in the veg tent for another month, then I’ll pick 6 more to move into flower. I’d like to keep a 6 plant per month rotation going in flower. Also, switching over to organic feeding. Feeding with Living Water (2-3 ounces of fish tank water per gallon of well water) and also trying Jobe's Organics Fertilizer Spikes for Vegetables 2-7-4. I planted 5 spikes per 5 gallon grow bag. I pushed the spikes down finger depth about 2/3's of the way from the base of the stem to the side of the bag and spread the 5 spikes evenly around the pots. The plan is to just add water from here on out and see how it goes. I have 'high hopes', I recently read "True Living Organics" by The Rev and he seems to be a big fan of spikes and living water. I did change to a new 1000W HPS bulb in the flower room. The old bulb was in use for 3 months. p.s. I'm starting a couple new diaries next, check em out! 👍

She's blooming and looking healthy, i'm thinking about taking away some low brenches.. but 'im not sure.

Bud structure nothing like I’ve ever seen before, looking healthy And frosty though. Looks close to being ready too, will be checking the trichomes. It’s showing a super high caylax to leaf ratio. Phenotype? Not sure. Next to no nutrients during this grow.

* *********** Week 11 - June 20 to 26, 2020 - Days 71 to 77 from germination *********** * These girls have been continuing their growth this week and looking better all the time. GSC2 still slow though and will not have much yield. Her leaves have turned very dark this week due to lockouts I suspect. Her hairs are still very white and coming out pointy looking for pollen and swelling. GSC is still swelling and her buds are bigger at the end of the week. Purple colours also coming out in her. The big girl has done well being squished in the corner as I had to put the two in one tent this week. The frost in GSC has been coming out for the last two weeks and is really getting sticky this week. The pH is still crazy high for the girls but they are pushing through this issue and finishing up. These are very resilient plants and I am impressed with her vigour!! Still giving them feedings in the 3.0 pH range to help as her runoff is still coming in at mid 7’s......for both girls. GSC has been feed hard because her leaves have a nice pale colour, unlike GSC2, so keep her going and swelling. They were given a heavy watering of 8L each on day 71 to find out where the medium is. They were 7.9pH when started and last runoff was roughly 7.1pH......should have gone further to bring down more but stopped there so I didn’t flush out all of the feed since they have a couple fo weeks left. The hairs on GSC are turning more of a tan colour rather than snow white. I suspect she they have roughly this week plus another yet before thinking about harvest.......I see them going to 84 days roughly, 12 weeks. GSC bud sites are getting pointy this week. Added bamboo steaks to GSC to tie the long branches to and support her weight. GSC2 less so and are still looking more round as she continues to fill in her buds. GSC stems have been turning purple more and more this week. Suspect it is a combination of pH and stresses with temps. GSC2 was tied more this week as well to let more light in closer to the main stem. This paid off as well as she is stacking the lower points more. She, GSC2, has also paid a bit of a price over the last week because she was kept in the flower tent with other more mature girls. The environment in that tent was striving for 76 degrees and 51% humidity but GSC2 wants 82 degrees and 65% humidity........didn’t have much choice😢 Fast Buds has rocked this strain and dialled her in after the generations of breeding!! She is very frosty for an auto and had she been given the correct watering, she would be considered an easy grow In my opinion! The two girls are growing very different but that is grower related to transplant and not genetics. Awesome job Fast Buds......the girls are keeping me smiling......and scratching my head at the same time👍👍👍👍 Little more detail....... June 20/20 - Day 71 - 6L low ph flush of plain water @ 4.0 to bring down pH..........3L each girl. - Followed with a low pH feeding of 4L watering with Rezin, Liquid Wt, CalMag, B52 @ 2ml, Piranha @ 1ml, Voodoo @ 0.5ml/L, = 1170ppm and pH 4.4 - GSC1 tops are getting lots of purple in the bud. - GSC1 is filling in nicely and top leaves are starting to fade yellow. - GSC2 is dark😞 June 21/20 - Day 72 - continuing flush with 12L of plain water pH to 3.3 to bring down pH. - 6L given to each girl. - added bamboo stakes to pull GSC1 apart and open up the middle bud sites to more light. - GSC1 is 38" tall and 36" across now😀👍 - GSC2 is 20" tall and 24" wide👍 June 22/20 - Day 73 - 2L each watering with Rezin @ 1ml - hairs are turning more red and more white to tan now. - GSC1 is closer.....getting to home stretch soon. June 23/20 - Day 74 - 5L - Massive @ 3ml/L, Rezin & L.Weight & B52 @ 2ml/L, Vitathrive & Dual Fuel @ 1ml/L = 1110ppm - GSC 3L, GSC2 - 2L - they are getting close to the end so getting the last bits of everything into them😀 - noticing GSC1 top cola may start to bleach out a bit. - GSC2 feels like she has stalled. June 24/20 - Day 75 - watering 3L each with Massive & Terpinator @ 3ml/L, Rezin & Vita & L.Wt @ 2ml/L, Dual Fuel @ 1.5ml/L, CalMag @ 1ml/L = 1385ppm and pH to 3.9...crazy! - moved the two girls together today as the other two are going into darkness now, they are done. June 25/20 - Day 76 - Dry out day - GSC is doing well with her buds filling in now and firming up. Top leaves are drying more. - GSC2 is dark.....F......plain water and not much more we can do. June 26/20 - Day 77 - 7L watering with Rezin and Sensyzime @ 2ml = 75ppm and pH at 4.0 - 4L given to GSC and 3L given to GSC2. - Staying with RO water now.......tap water appears to have been an issue. - too bad the ph was such an issue.....GSC would be a monster😞 - run off numbers in pots: GSC 7.6pH and 780ppm GSC2 7.6pH and 1850ppm (she has stalled) Awesome strain Fast Buds.......will be running her again!!!!!!

Was a normal week for a seedling. Has been growing well under the spider farmer SF-1000 led light. Only nutrition till tomorrow has been blue planet liquid seaweed.
