More Big changes this week! The flowers seem to be growing and getting bigger every day - I anxiously look in my tent each morning to see the new developments and there seems to be new changes each time - very cool to smoke a bowl in the morning and go check your garden! I was able to get some pretty cool photos with my macro lens - I found the ONLY flower site and first signs of red colors on one of the lower flowers of Cherry Gorilla #3 - I was able to get some pretty sweet pics of that. If you have a smart phone or tablet, definitely check out some of the macro shots and pinch/zoom in! I did add a fan on the bottom blowing underneath the canopy, in efforts of opening up the stomata of the ladies. We are finally having our first relatively hot week up here and it has absolutely tested my environment management skills - AC, Dehumidifier, Fans, Window open and close - this silly temp VPD and humidity control dance all day will not be too much longer, very much looking forward to the lower temperatures of the fall and winter months! When opening up the tent - you are blasted with a unfamiliar smell that can be explained as a sweet dank. I have touched some of the lower buds on each of the plants and WOW! - They are SWEET and Cherry flavor like crazy - The GMO is just as I expected - Garlic Gas Sweetness when touching her leaves - You are left with a very sticky goo on your finger that absolutely smells of its particular strain. Again - I could not be happier with the garden, and especially this being my first grow ever. Looking forward to more changes and absolutely some input from the Grow Diaries Community!

Week 8 update on these purple beauties. They are super close to being finished. They'll be getting the chop this week and put into the Cannatrol for the dry/cure stage. The smell is so sweet and intoxicating. All in all Happy

Seedsman White Widow is starting to get huge! I overdosed her with Recharge this week, (1 tbs instead of .5 tsp). She liked it! I'll be OD'ing the Recharge more in the future. 👍

Hello and we are at the end finnaly!! I harvest them on day 64!!! Harvest was amazing some flowers diffrent then others but cus of my noob box and all i am rly imprest and heppy abaut whole journey,this site helped me alooot!!!TYWM!! Today is day 82, should be harvested by now but due to user error the girls are still going. I did start the flush a few days ago so I am anticipating shutting the lights off on them in the next few days.

I topped her, she is still in the recovery phase, her growth is slightly reduced, which will subside in the next few days. Her side shoots are now sprouting more, as soon as the 2 new main shoots are growing actively again she has completely survived the stress. If she is sent into flowering the 18/6 cycle will then be changed to 12/12. Without the stress she has now, she would actually already be showing her sex,but now that the primary focus is on wound healing, this is being postponed a little. Easiest week so far, no problems just growing. I did spray some neem oil on my soil a few days a go to keep pests out of the fox farm soil. Week 4 will bring in topping after the next node grows in, should be 2 or 3 days. Also towards the end of the week after she recovers from topping I will begin LST. Will provide pics throughout the week Posted first vid in real light not my 600 watt LED. Mainly for health purposes. This will be so interesting to see how blueberry will develop after an accidental FIMing lol. Personal Note: Wait to top when there is a full mainstem and not barely new growth. Meaning wait til the new growth has 2 fan leafs spread out, and not when they are just leafs barley sprouted from the main stem. Rookie mistake number 1 so far at the end of week 3. Or maybe time will tell if blueberry will be gracious enough to be a beautiful big buded tree. I read where FIMing can develop up to 4 extra colas and still grow beautifully. Fingers crossed.

Switched to 12/12. Struggling to keep ph runoff ideal. Increased nutrients as plants looked a little pale. EC looks good coming out. Plants look great. I don't have a reliable PAR meter. I'm 80% sure I'm somewhere between 600 and 650. Will defoliate when necessary from here on out. I'm hoping I get more stretch.

6.4.25: FastBuds Mystery Seed #1: She has been topped twice and is looking pretty strong 💪 She has grown vertically, and leaves are always praying. Possibly too much light, so I have turned the dimmer down to about 90%. There are slight bleached tips on a couple of top leaves. I'm hoping to do the same LST with garden wire here very soon. Overall, the plant has nice big, fat leaves. Seemingly lush colour and vigorously growing since the double toppings. Very nice plant so far. 👌 13.4.25: This week has been so busy in the garden! I forgot to take any notes, so I'll see what I can do from memory! 😅 14.4.25: I have been super busy with all the other harvests in the past several days, so this is a little late. FastBuds Mystery seed #1 has been topped twice and the growth has been thick and lush. I watered several times this week, and I used Ecothrive Biosys with dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.4. I watered about 2 litres to each plant. I have been using wire, clips, and Bio stretch fabric plant ties to LST the plant. The plant has reached the 8 Gallon pot perimeter. The plant is in the first week of flower. I'm hoping to keep the canopy even with my RQS Northern Lights grow as I need to be able to compare the plants accurately for the experiments. I did snap off a branch, again the day after I said I'd be very careful 😖 The plant is very resilient though, and you wouldn't know anything happened at all, minus one of the first tops is missing. Thankfully I topped twice, so I still have 5 tops. Training Techniques used this week are LST and defoliation. I watered on 13th and 14th with the following solution; 4 litres of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.4 which contained: ♡ 8 ml Xpert Nutrients Cal-Mag amino acids ♡ 1/2 Teaspoon Mega Crop Part A by Greenleaf Nutrients. PPM: 1000. 2 litres were given on two consecutive days. I watered in a top dress, which I will add what I used here, but it was another mess up, I'm sure you'll be surprised to hear 😅 Top dress: 4 gallons containing approximately: 50% Canna Terra Mix soil 25% Worm Castings 23% Perlite 2% Organic Dry Amendments, which were; ☆ Ecothrive Life Cycle ☆ Ecothrive Charge ☆ Diatomaceous Earth ☆ Ground Cinnamon ☆ RHS Mycorrhizal Fungi granules I used the top dress amount for established plants for a pot size of 30L / 8 Gallons. I'm not keen on the soil. I was supposed to get Canna Coco but I got sent Canna Terra in error. It was overdue for a top dress and I had nothing else to use. I don't like it in comparison. Coco is best for my needs. It's much fluffier, lighter, and easier to work with. Thanks for hanging out 🍃 ✌️ 💚 🙂

Pictures taken on day 78 since sprout for the Northern Lights (left/right), day 75 for the Orion (middle). NL#2 (left) still more and more rust colored spots, won't get better I gave up but bulking nicely. NL#2 (right) comming along, looking healthy, bulking up. Orion (middle) was chopped up for the most part to give the Northern Lights more space. I expect a 1kg+ wet yield for each Northern Light. Did a little final defoliation and rearranged the Northern Lights a little. Did a reservoir change at the beginning of the week and added a little more Universol Yellow than Yara Kristalon Orange to get more P. Trichomes are clear/milky on the Northern Lights, probably 2 more weeks. NL#2 smells kind of fruity/lemony fresh.

There is so much to discuss ! I have been extremely busy as of late trying to get this Harvest together, but i am happy to have it here for you now ! I Seriously under estimated the amount of time, help from others, and my own necessary skills to pull this off.. and i still kind of screwed it up lol ! But its worth noting i have never actually done this before and trying to document it during....was extremely hard. It is next to impossible to work an iPhone with rubber gloves on ! First I want to discuss everything step by step so before you jump straight into the comments on how the end product is so small in "quantity" Rest assured i am happy with its"quality"...and thats all that matters to me because Life is a journey not a destination! and i have learned so much from this grow that I couldn't be any happy even if i messed some things up :) But at the very least I hope you read through this entry in its entirety with an open mind and focus more on the process, rather than just the outcome! I ran out of Ice & i was only able to wash three times..(normally I've heard you should go sometimes 5-6 washes) Preparation is Key & things will be much better next round :) Photos 1-22 These are pretty self explanatory but for those of you just tuning in now.. this is what happens to a very happy plant when you don't have the necessary tools to monitor key components of growing cannabis.. Ph, as well as EC levels play a very key role in the outcome of your grow lol that being said I was just able to save this plant by purchasing both tools but that doesn't mean the plant didn't suffer because of the prior events.. This was a Huge reason behind me choosing to turn this harvest into what i would consider "Solventless Hash Rosin" from "Ice water extracted Bubble hash". Pictures 23 The idea here is the process of using "fresh Frozen Cannabis" this has been discussed many a time online on such sites as instagram and here on grow diaries as well.. I personally have Never tried the process so i decided to try it out and make a judgement for myself.. Video 24 The Cannabis has now been in the freezer for 72 hours making it very well frozen.. as you can tell i struggled getting it all into the 25u Screen Wash Bag. One thing of note i would do differently is i will de-stem my next batch as i also believe this played a part in the amount of plant matter that escaped through the sieves. Photo/Video's 25-28 The idea here is "ice water Seiving" & especially with the bags that I am using here that are only have screen material on the bottom portion of the bag it is very important to have spaces in-between the screens to allow the water to pass directly through the screens into the bottom bucket with the least amount of resistance.. because the hash is so extremely temperature dependant if it gets warm on the side of the bag.. it will stick there and not make it to the bottom to become use able product.. 29 You do not need to use as much Ice as i used here lol... the idea is to keep everything very cold..i certainly achieved that but at the sacrifice of using so much that i ended up grinding product and producing "contaminants" but in the end they are just plant matter that i would be smoking when i rolled up my joint either way so.. I'm not super disappointed.. But it should be noted that what you want to achieve here is a Layering effect where you have the wash bag between two small layers of ice while the "water current" washes the Trichomes away allowing them to be separated by the screens setup below :) Before Starting the machine you should allow some time (i.e.;10-12minutes pre soak to allow the product to become saturated) before the first cycle. By video 32 I have just ran out of ice lol.. Video 33-34 Here I have a tip for you.. to separate the screens that you sieve through.. cut 5 gallon buckets to stretch them across nice and tight.. it'll make scooping your Bubble that much easier ! i learned this from the many "Frenchy" videos I have watched :) Picture 35 Here in lays the problem for most people.. drying your hash without loosing vast amounts of "Terpenes" whilst also stay ever vigilant against mold ! Thanks to all those videos I've watched on youtube.. id like to think this was one of my most successful parts of this process.. Things to Note; Terpenes start to seriously evaporate at temperatures 68F or 20C you need to stay as cold as possible whilst bringing the Relative Humidity in the space down into the 40-30% to stay away from that nasty mold ! I used my cold storage room in the basement.. with a dehumidifier running to keep the space at 45% RH & staying at a constant 15c. All while spreading the hash as thin as possible across parchment paper, on top of the white screens with a fan moving air across both sides of the paper. Pictures 36-38 These are some macros i took in the middle of my drying session I fell in love with the colour. Yes i know the black spots are plant material but they will get caught when i bag the hash & squish the oil out. Thing to Note; at this stage it is important to ensure you 'micro plane" the hash down as fine as you can whilst staying weary of the temperature... any "chunks" will hold pockets of moisture.. that lead to potential problems..ie; mold ... Picture/Video 39-41 Successfully planed bubble hash ready to be bagged and Squished ! Picture 42 Ive decided to follow Pedro.. from Pedros Grow Room and double bag to be on the safe side so i don't have any blow outs. So thats One 25u bag inside one 160u bag ! :) Pictures 43 This is almost 3 grams of the bubble hash from above, already melting in the bag.. this is where i ran into trouble again lol things started getting to warm in the house and i was only able to get one of the three squish's i did on video :( things started getting sticky. Picture 44 This is basically just a photo of the equipment I'm using; 3x5 LowTemp Cage in the frame I built myself, with a 20Ton bottle jack. Something to note here is this is an older Lowtemp model with only a single heating zone which is which i have it closed here heating Both sides of the press :) As well as the importance of having adequate pressure on your plates.. my rig is very overkill for the size of hash bags..lol Video 45 Here is the lovely press video.. its didn't quite work the way i wanted either lol my directional folding wasn't quite tight enough for a big "drip" :) &the Press was set to 65°c Photo's 46-50 are pretty self explanatory :) I had a blow out.. but still managed to pull an 80% return from the hash once squished...& yes it tasted amazing :) Was it worth it in the end... that could be debated.. for some..i understand..its not your thing, but for those of us that are interested in making our own concentrates.. free from Solvents... I wouldn't make it any other way :) If even ONE of you reading this diary finds it helpful to reference for ANYTHING.....even if its "what not to do" ill consider it a success ! It's week 10 of flowering, and the Purple Punch x Lemon Drizzle is almost ready to harvest. I think we'll get the saw out within the next week. It smells lemony, and the buds are hard and firm. Can't wait to test these 🍋.
