Greetings my dear Jungletamers, So a major surprise came when @MarsHydroLED contacted us and asked if would like to try out their new SP 3000 light. Being a fan of Mars Hydro for years, we of course accepted their offer. We are totally in love with this light. I was when I saw it in another grower's setup and was in awe of its output and results. So with much pride and thankfulness for the presents the Universe bestowed on us, in the form of MarsHydroLEDS offer and the bountiful harvest of the last grow, (which I am thoroughly enjoying btw, such a great weed to have grown ourselves) we start out on a new adventure that we can't wait to share with you. With many lessons learned from the previous grow, a mighty producing strain in the form of Expert Seeds Gorilla Glue #4, a.k.a Expert Gorilla's and a tweaked super soil mixture, we are setting out to hopefully get over a gram per watt, preferably 1.5. The Setup A 4.5 (140 cm) x 2(70) x 6.2 (200) grow tent, giving me a .98 m2 workspace. This space is customized to my needs. A standing fan will provide airflow through the whole grow, a top fan will help guide cooler air past my lights onto the grow. 3 56 ltr pots will be the home for the plants when they are 2 weeks old, up to then in smaller jars. The Light The leading role and star of the show will be played by the Mars Hydro SP-3000, so kindly provided by MarsHydroLED, which we will test and review here and I might say, endorse. I'm very careful with who I endorse and support these days, but a company with that many wins in design, I'm talking ever since their first range came out in 2009 these guys have been raising the bar for the whole industry, I did not hesitate to support this leading brand. If you want to compete with these guys, you better bring some quality AND affordable pricing. Why do I endorse the SP-3000 without ANY hesitation? It is seriously THE BEST light on the market in this price range and size group. It has an enormously effective output in U/Mol and with 30% less energy waste comparing to older LED lights. Prove me wrong! And with a company holding a considerable market share selling thousands of units every month, competing on price and quality, one would think that customer service would suffer. Of course, also Mars Hydro is not perfect, but check the sheer amount of people that not only praise the light but also the service received, should the light somehow not perform up to par. Because of the great results, we are going to use the same recipe, adjusted some more with some new ingredients that will complete the mix and give an even more sustained super soil buffer. 20% Atami Bi-grow (very similar to ocean forest) 20% Atami worm castings 20% Atami Coco Coir 10% Hydrocorn 10% Peat powder 1 cup Fossil seaweed chalk 1 cup bonemeal 1 cup bloodmeal 1 cup Microlife 3-4 teaspoons of epsom salt 3 cups of activated biochar (activated with our own permaculture tea) I just made layers, starting with hydro corn on the bottom to aid airflow/run-off. On this I started layering the coco coir, Bi-grow, peat, castings, and amendments in a way that the more mature the plants get, the more phosphorous and less nitrogen they will find. Every time I made three layers, I would mix them by hand. This way we simulate natural soil, which consists of humic layers, composting plant waste, fungal and microbial life, and nutrients from fossilized sources. The Nutrients I will start with just adding 6.4 PH water, although this soil should buffer ph itself and regulate, after 4 weeks, I'll slowly be adding: - Biobizz Grow - Plagron Alga Grow - Biobizz CalMag - Biobizz Flower - Plagron Alga Flower - Biobizz Topmax - Melasses The Tea Some of you might remember the permaculture tea from my previous grow, I have a short video in my harvest page showing how we make it), it will star again in this grow. - (Rain)water - Comfrey (whole plants) - Dandelion leaves - Roots and leaves from the earlier grow - Minor periwinkle (Finca minor) is a plant we have in our garden, it contains an alkaloid that is associated with increased brain function but also is a light toxin for wee beasties and other unwanted guests like gnats (who hate it). - When flowering I add some wood ash to this mix Thank you for checking in on one of my grows again! March 17, Day 76: As written I collected the last three plants. At the moment I got a partial of 224 grams from the first three plants and I think of doubling with the last three. Among the latter is the plant with the largest bud which obviously becomes my favorite. This time I managed to take photographs of the plants before cutting them. With these last three plants I got the most productive plant, the one with the largest bud and the one with the longest bud 😉 For a final report on this strain: The Gorilla by RQS is an excellent strain for anyone who loves a high THC content and I particularly recommend it to growers who pass for the first time from photoiperiods to autoflowering. You will grow very large and very productive plants very similar to photoperiodic ones. This strain branches out a lot and must be defoliated and de-branched. You can grow it well with the SCROG technique, but if like me you have no space problems you can also use the Sea Of Green technique. In conclusion I want to thank all the growers who have followed this my first diary to which I have a happy growth! A big thanks also to GrowDiaries and to the whole team for having created the best social network dedicated to the world of growers 👏💪😉 March 24 Final Report: Hi growers, with this last post I'm going to close my first diary. First I have to say that I am very satisfied with the total harvest, from the last three plants I got 369 grams which added to the 224 of the previous harvest make a total of 593 grams. I started this diary with 8 Gorillas and 2 Cheese. 6 Gorillas completed their cycle in the same time frame, the 2 remaining gorillas showed a photoperiodic genetic predominance, one of them is in an advanced flowering phase while the last one after three months still shows only a few pistils. I'll probably kill her, and move on by putting new seeds in the soil. Unfortunately, where I live is illegal to grow marijuana, otherwise I would have simply moved outdoors, but I can't and must be ruthless. Regarding the two cheeses there is not much left at the end of their cycle and I started to give only water to one of the two plants. Good and happy growth to all! 😜

The more training you give your plant the bigger and better it will get. Colas forming up and smell already there Also dont worry i just sprayed the buds with just water to refresh them

These girls are doing great.they are very healthy and growing vigorously,there are two distinct pheno types.the taller have alot more trics and they are about a foot taller.the small ones barely have any right now and are about 18 inches,I'm sure that will change pretty quick though.there isnt very much of a smell yet,probably a 2 out of ten right now.

This is the last week of edge then it's time to flip

This week went pretty well, other than she stretched like crazy and I am now getting worried about running out of vertical space. I also had a few of my bottom leaves get a few brown and yellow spots on them. I did post some pics and asked a question, thank you for the responses, much appreciated! I am thinking about adding my Spyder Farmer LED 100 Watt light into the tent for the nebula auto because it is about 23 inches shorter than the sour diesel. I believe it would only raise my temp about 2 degrees, and possibly lower the humidity by one or two percent. I must say my dehumidifier has been a freaking stud, running 24X7 and not complaining. I should look into adding another unit, it has been in the mid 90's and muggy for about a week. So far I have to say I am super impressed and excited with this setup, the genetics, and with growing this wonderful plant in general. Already planning ahead to my next grow, and what I can do better. I have been enjoying myself and I really appreciate everyone who has taken the time to answer my questions! I am having a blast and am excited to see what this lady will give up in a few weeks!

First week outdoors and the girls are just loving the fresh air and sunshine! Have been bringing them into solarium at night because we are still hitting 1°-2° some nights, and the solarium only gets down to 14°. Warm nights (>12°) should be here to stay in the next few days, will have them grounded then. Soil pickup and pot preparation today. I get my soil from a local landscape material yard. They do a great "garden mix", has good drainage and very healthy soil. Plants always seem to love it, and at $45 a yard it's so much cheaper than bagged soil. Also today is the day I pick my two of the litter before the other two go to their homes at my in-laws place. Probably take the black pots, all four girls look so good might as well take a tall and a short see which does best! Plants were topped Day 29 from seed and recovered well, quite noticable thickening of the main stem, and by end of week about 1" new growth on tops.

Ждем дальше ❤️ 01.08.23-обе девочки развиваются и кушают 👌🏻 Растение в 3 литра горшке активно цветет и получает раствор на цветение 850 ппм short flowering ph 6 Вторя в 10 литров горшке продолжает активно вегетировать получает раствор grow 850 ppm, ph 5.8 92.08.23-Обе девочки значительно выросли , та что находится в горшке 3 литра активно цветет и получает питание для цветения ! Ее размер примерно 40 см и она продолжает почти лол 😜 Девочка в горшке 10 литров набирает обороты в вегетативной стадии и получает лст ! Надеюсь она будет гораздо больше сестры 06.08.23-31 день жизни двух сестер ! Одна из них , та что в горшке 3 литра активно цветет и привыкает 60 см , вторая в горшке 12 л только вошла в предувет. Обе выглядят очень хорошо и получают полную дозу раствора greenhouse feeding short flowering 1000 ppm,6 ph. Сток стабилен и под контролем 09.08.23- Растение #1(в горшке 10 л) продолжает расти и получает лст тренировки , приобретая огромный размер . Растение #2 (горшок 3 л) сильно вытянулось и продолжает цвести . Обе получают разное питание для своих стадий развития .

Getting ready to take clones and flip them into flower in the next few weeks

So close to being done. I'm going to holds out for another few days. Trichomes are still mostly cloudy. I want a more sleep assistant and pain reliever effects. The purple is really starting to show. I fertigate or water them 2 to 3 times a day. I have been using a Kleanse formula from Cyco Platinum nutrients in the middle of the day. Feed in the morning and right before lights off. EC in is close to the same as the EC of the runoff. pH of run off is right around 6. Smells incredible, so much more floral smelling than the last grow. I would say it is because of the biocanna bioboost supplement. I didn't use that one as much they last grow. It's expensive, but I think it's worth it. It's basically fermented molasses.

Start of week 3! All three plants have had great bud site development during the last 2 weeks. The Super Lemon Haze is a bit thirstier than the Blueberries, so the Slh got and extra 2 liters of feed during week 2. The Slh is also showing deficiency, hopefully with the addition of B52 to the feed cycle, she'll come around. On th blueberries, there has been some rust spots appearing on the largest leaves, I removed the worst one's and will monitor more closely this week, if that issue continues or not. These babies are very bushy, they take up 80% of my grow room space, very excited about this grow and these plants.

This week going great. Putting on alot of growth. Really started to pick up on resin also. Has a slight skunk smell and sweet at the moment. Gets about 3 L of food every 2 days like clock work. Enviroment is pretty perfect 80 at day 82 max with 70 at night. Stay up Love ya all

Everything is going good, girls are looking healthy and already reeking. Going to veg for another 4 weeks I looking to do a scog canopy which I would need bigger plants which need more time to grow. I can see there about to stretch this time in veg

This is the 8th week. Thursday will be 9 weeks of 12/12. Some trichs are amber. They just added a good bunch of girth over the past few days, but most of the pistils are red now. The rest of them have been dropping leaves consistenly but the canopy remains full so they must be putting out more leaves. I just flushed to 80% runoff and found out that I had 1200ppm. I just got an ec meter but my last reading said closer to 600 so idk what happened there. I flushed until I had runoff ppm of about 150. Now they're back in the grow tent. I don't want to keep assaulting them with my microscope. I think they're ready. Just gonna let them settle another day or two to dry out a bit. I took one small branch off the small Wedding Cake plant on Thursday and I've just been watching it dry on my counter. It's been 5 days and the stem snaps but still leaves a fiber connecting. I put it into a small jar with a 64RH thing. I just want to try it. It already smells amazing. The leaves on the big CBD Blue Shark plant are going really yellow and some other colours are starting to come out as well. The buds all fattened up and got more frosty again. I was worried they were foxtailing but they got more calyxes underneath the peaks and have been making more of a pyramid shape. They're really close to peak. Harvest day will be March 17 or 18. March 17 1023pm chopped and hung after lights off all day. RH was 65% before I chopped and 50% after I closed the window and cut the plants off the saturated pots. I did a wet trim to prevent mold. The buds are sticky af. Gonna hang them to dry for 7-9 days before curing in jars :) March 18 : checked the RH when I woke up and it's chilling at 45% 😎 March 19 : just checked to see how they were drying. There are seeds in every plant. RIP I'll update when I put them in jars and again a few weeks later for final review. Overall it was a good grow despite the rocky start and a good introduction to the mainline technique and my new grow space. Next grow I should have everything pretty well dialed in. March 23 They were hanging for 3 days. Rh was around 45, then spiked to 65 overnight when I forgot to turn the fans back on. Temp was high at around 26.they felt wet after 2 days, and bone dry after 4 days. The stems still didn't snap but I put them in jars anyway. A day later, jar RH was 50%. I burped all the jars and there was a smell from the new jars. I took all the weed out, washed out the jars, and did a dry trim on the weed. One of the Wedding Cake plants must have gone hermie. I didn't see any bananas and didn't even realize there were seeds until the very end. The seed pods looked just like calyxes while the plants were growing. Many of the nugs are unusable. Under the sugar leaves are just layers and layers of seeds. Some weren't hit that badly. The CBD Blue Shark is much better off but still has some seeds. I'm trying to stay positive. It's a bit of a shock though. I'm anxious to try the finished product. If the flowers at least taste good and have a good effect, all is not lost.
