🌱 Day 57 - Start of the Second-to-Last Flowering Week 🌱 Hello, Grow Friends! Today marks the start of the second-to-last flowering week—Week 9 overall, and Week 5 of flowering. 🌿 I’m getting more and more excited as my first grow nears its end. As I approach harvest, I’ve decided, based on my research, to stop feeding nutrients and stick to just pH-adjusted water for the final two weeks. 💧⚖️ Watering Routine: I’ll keep the same watering schedule—1 liter every two days, which is about 10% of the pot volume. 🌱💧 This should be enough to flush out the remaining nutrients, ensuring a clean finish for the plant. Temperature & Humidity: The temperature remains stable between 19-23°C, which I believe is ideal for this stage of the grow. 🌡️🍂 No more high temperatures to worry about! The humidity is fluctuating between 45-58%, and I’m keeping a close eye on it to stay below 60%. 💧🔍 Everything seems on track for now. 🌿 Plant Health & Growth: The plant still looks very healthy overall. 🌱💪 However, I’ve noticed that in the past three days, there haven’t been any visible changes in the size of the buds. 🤔 It could just be that I’m not seeing the growth clearly, but the only noticeable change is the daily opening of new flower calyxes. 🌸 Harvest Preparation: I’m already getting my equipment ready for drying after harvest. 🛠️ Once it’s time to cut, I’ll be hanging the plant to dry for the first 10 days. 🌿✂️ I want to make sure everything is set for a smooth drying process. I am no longer going to be using the fox farm nutrient line not for any other reason than I just want to switch it up and go with something else before I go into flower. I'm not saying fox farm if a bad line, I just want something different. I feel fox farm is the line you go to when your first starting out and buying from Amazon, not downing anyone I've done it myself we've all been there and it works well for the price. But if you get their full line including Bush doctor and all it gets to be a bit mutch. I haven't went that far yet because of that, I don't want to feel like I have to buy 12 different nutrient solutions and when you do you find out you really only needed 5 or 6. Its for this reason I've decided to go with the Mills line of bottled nutrients their line up is 6 solutions total they are a bit pricy for the 6 one of the bottles being $120.00 US alone, but I'm also a firm believer in you get what you pay for and every resource and review I've seen makes me have high expectations for this nutrient line. Updates soon to come over the next few weeks as I have been currently flushing my plants for the past 2 days getting ready for the new neuts. I flushed with just straight water ph 6.0 the first day and again the next day (today Jul 25) and once again a few hours later with cal mag, silica and a little bit of recharge to help hold the plant over until I feed the new neuts and help ease them in as well. Week 4 of flower is done. Adjusted the nutrient solution to the temps/humidity (vpd). If the VPD is high the solution should be more diluted. (At a VPD of 2 the Water Transports and transpiration is twice as high compared to a vpd of 1). This week I lowered the day/night temp difference for pest and disease control. By week 6 I’m going to lower the temps in general for quality and terp preservation. A bit defoliation was done to keep up a good circulation of air and a good penetration of light. I had a good harvest set up, in order to keep everything sterile. The drying went good and steady with converting my grow tent to dry tent. -Humidity through drying 53-58% RH -Temp a bit high 18-23 10 days of drying Very satisfied with this grow as my first grow. I said i would be more than happy with 100g (dry and trimmed) and i weighted in 95.9g PLUS about 5grams i plan to smoke now 😇 So very happy. Currently in curing jars Not harsh taste, even with no curing. Nice and fruity and a deep high. I will test the THC levels after curing and update my blog. This will def not be my last grow. I added molasses mixed with reverse osmosis water, elycitor and humic and fulvic acids! my tco is in preparation for 24 hours, I use the tco pack from terralba, to which I add many elements and bacteria Day 28 : Here is the end of week 4, everything is going very well!! I will carry out the topping + defoliation on day 29 and incorporate the TCO. Papaya #1 is so huge, but it has some deficiencies, everything should be resolved week 5
