Hello everyone. This entry is fashionably late by a day, but the Gorilla Glue number four crossed with White Widow is on day 35 of flowering and doing well. She’s on 1.5 milliliters per liter of PK 13/14 with basic Canna nutrients. She’s throwing a lot of lower growth that wasn’t really invited, and I’d prefer that energy went to the top buds, but she has her own artistic vision. Humidity is hovering around 61 percent, and temperatures are about 26 degrees Celsius, climbing to 28 or 29 if the dehumidifier runs during lights on. So the plan is to lean on it during lights off. In that 12-hour dark window, it pulls about 2.5 liters of water, which is kind of impressive, like it’s quietly winning a side quest. I’m thinking about flushing next week. The hairs are turning orange, but I’m still feeding her well and making sure there’s at least 10 percent runoff. Thank you for stopping by and have a nice day. Best regards, Growfather.

Welcome to week 9. 7/2 today I defoiliated some damaged leaves from Gaia and Circe trying to make them look presentable. The lock out has done damage last will last until they are harvested. Last week was flushing every 2 days with 2 gallons of water for each plant in the tent. PH of the soil is down from 8 .2 to 7.2 not so alkaline. 7/3 water feed and some pics. I made 4 gallon fertilizer solutions using TPS1 fertilizer 10ml per gal. I made 1/2 strength at total 22,5ml Signal 1ml per gal. Total 2.5ml Ppm total 620 After I fed 4 liters each I followed 3 hours later to test the run off. Cream caramel Ec .99 ppm 690 ph 5.95 runoff 2 ltr in drip pan Gaia EC .88 ppm 620 ph 6.82 run off 2.5 ltr Circe Ec 1.30 ppm 910 ph 6.16 runoff .75 ltr 7/4 reduced light schedule to 15 hrs from 18 hrs. 7/5 flushed all with 2 gal each 7/6 cream Caramel is showing lockout now too😨 even with flushing. 7/7 more flushing. Last week I mentioned books that I've read that influenced my thoughts, beliefs and how I see the world. I grew up in the 1970s, ( my formative years) in Tidewater Virginia, situated on the Atlantic Ocean. Friends and I went to the beach, not for fun in the sun but to go to the A.R.E. The ARE is Edgar Cayce's, Association for Research and Enlightenment and the Heritage store which was a new age metaphysical crystal shop with crystals, stones, meditation, and yoga classes. I scoured old bookstores looking for books written on spiritualism, psychology, alternative religions, old doctor books, etc. My desire to be a healing practitioner stems from my books from Jeanne Rose in 1970s. She is the first herbal medicine woman in modern times. Florence Scovel Shinn, metaphysician, lecturer, artist- The Game of Life and others written in 1925. Edgar Cayce's trance readings. The older books are out of print but may still be found. There is a River is Edgar Cayce's life story. Hidden Life of Trees is a must read. It explains connectedness. Interestingly, my great uncle, in his writings (above) references the spiritual laws written in the books mentioned above. From various religious scriptures, the existence of personal behavioral laws, as I would describe as code of honor, as indicated are the ways to true Peace. Throughout my generations the search for spiritual truths have fallen outside the realm of traditional religious formation. From the spiritual sense, I have emerged full circle. grandparents' and parents' lifetimes, there were world wars. Everyone had a focus on world peace. Mucha's quote on week 8 emphasizes the need to build bridges, to achieve peace. Sadly, I remember watching the Vietnam War on the news when I was growing up. Well I started college with dream of becoming a doctor, but changed to business and accounting. During my college years, I worked part time jobs in a stock brokerage firm and jewelry store. From that point on I loved nice jewelry and desired the unusual gemstones that were mentioned by Edgar Cayce. Eventually I started my career in Accounting working in in hospitals, banking and finally in local and state government and higher education. In my late 30's having a midlife crisis, I felt that I really belonged in as a healer. I considered homeopathic school but my daughter was recently born. I did not want to travel to New York and be away from my family. An opportunity missed. My words of wisdom: If you have strong feelings in your gut, the little voice in your heart tells you that "this", what ever this represents to you, is your path. Follow your dream. My gut still gnaws at me. I graduated with a BS in accounting with a minor in psychology, continues my education thru MBA. My entire career was in accounting and finance. My last position was the Director of Financial Reporting and Revenue. I was happy, loved my job, I had a great staff. My plan was to work until I was 70 as I have good genes for longevity. Cancer changed that. The focus of oncologists is to check the cancer free box at 5 years. I'm working on cleaning up the aftermath of the storm. Yeah, my hormones are still wrecked. Ladies and Gentlemen, tell all the females you know, never take hormone replacement therapy. Try acupuncture, herbal teas, deep breathing.

This lady has turned into an absolute beast, starting to be really frosty with trichomes and, believe it or not, I can actually smell the purple lemonade in it, this has became a really beautiful plant and I only expect it to go maybe another two weeks. The size of this thing is unbelievable though, so big for an auto. Can’t wait to get it into jars!

Hey guys, three days ago there was a bit of a storm and Madame unfortunately didn't hold out. hope the top is still supplied with nutrients and the few seeds will probably still be finished... today as almost the whole week again only rain.. towards Thursday some improvement and more sun.. Smell is super sweet and strawberry. really something different.. hope the turn is also good... which day today is not a plan but since it is now as good as over, not quite so bad... The end is near... Thanks for watching, the comments and likes everything motivated me very much and for the first time it was a lot of fun. I'm looking forward to the next one... But then again led and fat buds.. promised! It was also my first outdoor attempt in a long time, it's something completely different than indoors😅🙈

| 📅 Week 5 | Days 29 - 35 | 💡 562w 📏42' | | ☔ 29%-38% | | 🌡️️🌞 76 - 79 | | 🌡️️🌑 73 - 75 | 12/07 Weekly Reservoir swaps on all plants to clean them and give fresh nutrients. 2 plants repeated week 4 nutrients with no micro and the other two (including the focus plant in the lapse) are accurate with the Dairy. 12/08 PHed all plants to 5.8 and updated the LST on all the plants. Spread some of plants out to get better lighting as I raised the light s few inches. 12/09 Topped off the reservoirs and PHed them to 5.6 because they have been rising alot. Rotated plants half turn. Did more LST for more light penetration. 12/10 Signs of preflower are starting to show on two plants and the tent is starting to get that flowering smell not to much longer until I need to hook up the carbon filter to stop the stench. 12/11 Updated front left and back left plants to week 5 nutrients with no Floramicro, because these plants hate nitrogen. PH in all reservoirs set to 5.6 12/12 PHed adjusted to 5.8 and topped off all the reservoirs. Did more LST and tucked plenty of leaves away for better light on new growth! 12/13 First real signs of Flower! PH adjusted to 5.8 and reservoirs topped off with water to keep the nutrient levels balanced. Lollipopped the front left plant for experimental purposes. These plants overall are doing fine and I have 2 different phenotypes displaying. One is extremely reactive to nitrogen and taller while the shorter phenotype is slightly less reactive to nitrogen (both hate it). I am pleased with the growth at this stage and the smell is just starting There is slight purple coloration displaying with the preflowers but nothing really noticeable yet. I am excited for the flowering to start so these girls can start showing their true colors 😍 edit: changed final picture for better lighting.

So this plant was a slow grower from the beginning. Just grew one big chunky bud. Good trichome development and fantastic tropical terps. This is a nice smoker, just not a looker as a plant

WEEK 14 - HARVEST: The Grand Finale 🌼 FLOWERING PROGRESS The journey of the Monster Maker has come to its successful end. After 9 full weeks of flowering, she reached her absolute peak. The final days showed a stunning purple fade, and the bud density became rock-solid. As seen in the final photos, the structure was perfect, and every site was loaded with high-quality flower. It was time to chop! 👃 TERPENES & AROMA Even during the harvest process, the scent was overwhelming. The sweet, citrusy tangerine notes have merged with a heavy, spicy, and earthy funk. It smells like a premium dessert with a gassy twist. I expect the terpene profile to become even more refined during the slow dry. 🌡️ ENVIRONMENT & VPD Final conditions in the tent were kept at 24.8°C and 46% RH (VPD ~1.65 kPa) right until the end. Now, for the drying phase, I have adjusted the environment to aim for a slow, 10-14 day dry to preserve those precious tangerine terpenes. 💧 NUTRIENT FEEDING & WATERING The 7-day flush with pure, pH-regulated water was completed perfectly. The plant looked beautifully "starved" and clean, which should result in a very smooth smoke and pure white ash. No more nutrients, just the natural essence of the plant. 💭 GROWER'S NOTE HARVEST DAY! Seeing this lady without her leaves (the "naked" structure) really shows the success of the LST and training. Every branch held a massive, frosty treasure. Now the real patience begins with the drying and curing process. I am beyond happy with the resin production on this Sweet Seeds masterpiece. Stay tuned for the final weight and smoke report!

Oct. 23 - Week 3 begins. While watching the time lapse from week 2 I noticed the plant would perk up right after receiving nutrient solution so I have decided to increase from 20ml twice a day to 30ml 3 times per day. I keep the solution in a 1L bottle and shake thoroughly before applying to ensure it is well oxygenated. This is hopefully temporary as I hope to figure out some sort of mini drip irrigation system for the near future or soon I won't be able to leave her side. Oct. 29 - It grew fairly well this week but still has spots appearing on older growth.

1/22/2024 - Day 22 veg: today is the 1st day of week 4, and every is going well. Lightly watered just to keep the top soil moist, but my moisture level further down is still good. She is showing some very minor tip burn, but nothing I'm concerned about. 1/27/2024 - Day 27: was out of town the last few days, and she is definitely starting to flower already. Seeing some very minor tip burn, but other than that she appears healthy. Not as big as I would have like to see her get before flowering, but it looks like the issue with the foiler spray stunted her a bit.

Day 65, 14th of November 2020: Amazing week.... RQS Wedding Gelato does not strech a lot and pistils coming out nicely.... Original Sensible Seeds has amazing gentics they are so strechy except Black Ghost OG, rest of them crazyyyyyyy..... I also broke two of the sides from Gelato Original Sensible Seeds but fixed with tape and now all good lol 🤣🤣🤣 Pre flowers out and I really hope they stop growing lol. I also noticed that the Original Sensible Seeds strains have nice purple colours of the fan leave's stem. All the same fertilization happens every 2nd day with the mix above and ratio. One more thing: I set the lamp 15 minutes shorter to switch off earlier so they receive 11:45 of darkness. I would like to imitate the nature when longer nights come with time till the 4th week (when they will receive 13 hours darkness a day 15 minutes minus 4 times = 1hour) so every week 15 min longer darkness for 4 weeks and then back to 12/12 to have bigger buds from the 4th week....

. AgroBeta: 1 ml x L Flowering black line , vía radicular. 0,2 ml x L Beta shark, vía radicular. 0.5 gr x L mega PK , vía radicular. 0,8 ml x L Terminator, vía radicular. 0,5 gr x L Engordacogollos, vía radicular. 0,3 ml x L Tucán , vía radicular. 0,1 ml x L Betazyme, vía radicular. 0,3 ml x L Tricoma, vía radicular. 0,05 ml x L Gold Joker, vía radicular. 0,2 ml x L Silver, vía radicular. . Apple Pie. mmmmmm 👋Top is a clean cut, no confusion for the plant, road ahead is clear, by completely removing the main growth tip, the auxin source is eliminated. The plant permanently halts vertical growth from that main stem and immediately sends its energy and hormones to the two new, evenly spaced branches just below the cut. Fimming slightly different because a small tuft of the top growth is left behind, the auxin disruption is temporary and less severe. The plant recovers more quickly and sends its energy to multiple surrounding growth points, often creating four or more new shoots from the same spot. It will eventually regain some vertical dominance after a few weeks if left to its own devices, but with a little more LST, bending the apex to the same height as the rest of the internodes, this shatters dominance, hopefully creating around 8-9 main shoots growing at equal height once recovered and grown out. Reduced environmental intensity for now and let her focus on dealing with this new stress for a week or two. When H+ ions are added to soil, the first nutrient displaced from exchange sites is typically aluminum (Al3+), if it's present, followed by calcium (Ca2+), magnesium (Mg2+), and potassium (K+), because aluminum and these base cations have different binding strengths. The order of displacement depends on the lyotropic series, where ions with a higher positive charge and those with weaker binding strengths are displaced first. The specific order of nutrient displacement is determined by the lyotropic series, which ranks the strength with which cations are adsorbed by soil particles: Al3+: Most strongly adsorbed, so if present, it will be displaced by H+ ions, leading to increased solubility of aluminum and potential plant toxicity. Ca2+: Displaced next, as it is more strongly bound than Mg2+ or K+ but less than Al3+. Mg2+ and K+: Displaced after Ca2+. The displaced nutrients can be lost from the root zone through leaching, becoming unavailable to plants. As H+ ions increase, the proportion of acid cations (H+ and Al3+) on the exchange sites increases, while base cations (Ca2+, Mg2+, K+) decrease, resulting in a lower soil pH. The amount of photosynthesis (water splitting) directly determines the availability of H+ ions (protons) in a plant. 90% of water is for cooling of photosynthetic apparatus the other 10% is split for its H+ among others things. Carbon sugars, like glucose, do oxidize in soil through a process primarily driven by microorganisms, which break down these sugars for energy. This oxidation converts the sugars into carbon dioxide (CO2) through cellular respiration, a key part of the soil carbon cycle, though some carbon may also be incorporated into soil organic matter. The rate and extent of sugar oxidation depend on factors like oxygen availability, the presence of Fe oxides, and soil redox conditions, which can all influence the process. My understanding of why we flush. Just plain water, what does it do? Strips the medium of salts and nutrients making it empty. What does that do? Triggers nutrient recycling within the plant. What's nutrient recycling? It is a natural part of plant senescence, which can be triggered once you know the switches. A 24:1 carbon-to-nitrogen ratio will also trigger. Why won't it trigger autophagy for me? Nitrogen needs to be gone, gone, gone almost. Ammoniacal (organic) nitrogen takes 4-5 times more water to separate it from soil particles than nitrates so what happens is most people jist flush the nitrates, leave all the ammoniacal in there and this prevents autophagy initiating. Nitrogen decays differently depending on its form during the dry. Ammoniacal nitrogen will oxidize in the air, leaving no trace. But nitrates do no decay and turn volatile and smelly and remain trapped until smoked, no matter how long you cure it does not oxidize. This is why you need to trigger it and begin the denitrification process prior to harvest to get rid of all the nitrates. Otherwise, you will smoke it. Flush till autophagy begins, just make sure you add no nitrogen afterwards. Micronutrients for trichomes. Don't leave the medium empty for 2 weeks, that does nothing but reduce yield 10%ish. Trichomes are another thing. Trichomes themselves are not directly affected by flushing; rather, flushing affects the plant's nutrient uptake, which influences the development and final state of the trichomes. Trichomes are filled with antioxidants in the last weeks, which is what makes them cloudy. A lot of the processing of antioxidants requires energy and nutrients (mostly micronutrients ), so you don't want that soil empty for 2 weeks, you just want the carbon nitrogen ratio 24:1and no higher. She still wants what she needs to ripen. Processing antioxidants is energy-intensive; heat and light accelerate the rate at which THC converts to CBN. This is why you lower DLI, lower temps. By doing so, you reduce the oxidative workload caused by photosynthesis, which opens up the oxidative capacity for the production of antioxidants. THC is mostly processed at night when the plant's oxidative capacity is generally moreso "free and available" for work

Sep 6: Lemon Cream Kush is shaping up nicely. Buds are starting to thicken up and get frosty. Might be a bit of a P deficiency going on but I dont want to over fertilize this late in the grow. Sep 7: one last round of malted barley and Power Bloom. Leaves seemed a bit too blue indicating P deficiency so another round of bloom nutes were applied.. Sep 12: don’t take flash pics of your plants unless you follow it up with a far red (730 nm) light to put the plant solidly into dark mode. Otherwise there is an increased risk of hermies.

Ran out of Smart protein end of the first week, so it's plain water from here on out ! C99 chugging along, you can tell that any sort of exposure to the smart protein has lasting effects and the effects are proportional to the amount of smart protein available... it's not a nutrient so no nute burn no lock out ! witness the next generation of plant science ! witness it !! 🚀

The the buds were small so it made trimming a nightmare! But it’s done and the end product is worth all the time. I have loads of trim and small popcorn buds that will be dry Ice sifted and pressed into a hash brick. Will update the diary when I have some bcp hash Weighed up the trim at 588 grams, used my trim bins with dry ice to sift the trim and pressed it into blocks using a rosin pre press, I’ll now jar this and put it to one side. My first time doing this, definitely worth the effort!
