๐Ÿš‚ 8ร—8 Adventure โ€“ Week 11 Cash Express โ€“ Pheno A Her Own Rhythm, Under A Whole Lot More Light ๐ŸŒธ๐Ÿ’ก Hello everyone, and welcome back to another chapter of the 8ร—8 Adventure! ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ’š And here we are again... Cash Express Pheno A. Another week has passed, and this girl is still doing exactly what she has been doing throughout this journey. Growing. Flowering. Developing. And most importantly... being herself. There hasn't been any dramatic training this week. No major reshaping. No big intervention. No reason to start messing with a plant that is already doing exactly what we want her to do. At this stage of the 8ร—8 Adventure, we're reaching an interesting point. The plants have been built. The canopies have been established. The major training is behind us. And now... we watch. We provide what they need. We keep the environment stable. We monitor. We make small adjustments when necessary. And then we let the genetics tell the story. Cash Express Pheno A is certainly telling hers. And I really like what she's saying. โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€ ๐ŸŒธ Week 11 โ€“ Let Her Grow Cash Express continues developing beautifully. She's not one of the plants trying to take over the entire room. She's not racing toward the ceiling. She's simply continuing along her own path, developing her flowering structure and gradually becoming more defined as the weeks pass. And that's exactly what I want to see. At this point in flowering, there really isn't much reason to keep reaching into the canopy simply because we can. The plant has her structure. The flowers are established. The roots are working. The irrigation is consistent. The nutrition is supporting her. The environment is controlled. So our job becomes much simpler. Watch. Observe. Measure. And intervene only when there's actually something worth intervening in. Cash Express doesn't need us to constantly remind her how to grow. She already knows. The Plant Is Doing Her Thing One of the things I enjoy most about this stage is watching the plants gradually move from being something we've actively shaped into something we're simply observing. Earlier in the grow, we were thinking about structure. Branch positioning. Canopy management. Light distribution. Training. Space. Now? We're thinking about flowers. Development. Density. Maturity. And the individual expression of each phenotype. Cash Express Pheno A continues to have her own personality. She's growing at her own rhythm. She's developing her own flowering structure. And she's showing us what this particular genetic expression wants to do when given the same environment as eleven other plants. That's the real experiment. Not forcing twelve plants to become identical... but giving twelve plants a comparable opportunity and seeing what they do with it. And Cash Express is making her answer increasingly clear. Two New Future Of Grow Black Series 600W Fixtures Although we haven't been doing much to the plants themselves this week, something important has changed above them. We added two additional Future of Grow Black Series 600W fixtures to the 8ร—8 setup. And that changed the lighting capability of the room quite dramatically. The additional fixtures gave us considerably more available light. Actually... a little more than I wanted at first. ๐Ÿ˜‚ The PPFD climbed higher than my target, so rather than simply accepting it or running the fixtures unnecessarily hard, we reduced the power. That's where we're currently sitting at approximately: ๐Ÿ”Œ 59% power from the plug. And at that setting, we're seeing approximately: โ˜€๏ธ 1,500 PPFD across the upper canopy. Obviously, the exact intensity changes throughout the plant. Cash Express isn't a flat surface. Neither are her sisters. The higher flowers receive more. Lower areas naturally receive less. Different leaves sit at different angles. That's simply how a three-dimensional plant works. But overall... I'm very happy with where we've landed. More Light, More Control This is one of the things I particularly like about having powerful lighting equipment. More power doesn't mean you have to use all of it. We added the fixtures. We saw what the additional lighting capability did. The PPFD went higher than I wanted. So we turned the power down. Simple. ๐Ÿ˜‚ Now we're getting a very strong light environment while also reducing electricity consumption. We're also not unnecessarily running the fixtures and associated equipment at maximum output when the plants don't require it. That's a win from several directions. We're using the equipment. We're testing it properly. We're learning what it can do. And we're finding the level that makes sense for the plants. That's exactly what I wanted from this experiment. โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€ ๐Ÿ’š A Big Shout-Out To Future Of Grow I want to give Future of Grow a special mention this week. They provided the two additional Black Series 600W fixtures so we could test them here in the 8ร—8 Adventure and see what they could actually do in a real flowering environment. And that's exactly what we're doing. Not simply installing them and saying: "Look how much light we have." We're actually testing. Measuring. Adjusting. And observing the plants. We increased the available lighting. The PPFD went higher than my preferred level. So we reduced the power to approximately 59%. Now we're sitting around 1,500 PPFD across the upper canopy, while also saving electricity. And that's something I'm genuinely very happy about. More capability. More control. Less unnecessary power consumption. And a lot of photons available to these girls. Thank you, Future of Grow, for giving us the opportunity to test these additional fixtures and see where they can take the 8ร—8 Adventure. Cash Express Under The New Lighting And our girl? She's looking happy. That's the important part. The additional lighting hasn't changed her personality. She's still Cash Express. Still developing at her own rhythm. Still building her flowers. Still doing what she has been doing. And that's actually one of the things I enjoy most about this experiment. We can change the environment. We can change the amount of light available. We can make small adjustments to nutrition. But the plant still expresses herself through her genetics. The light provides the energy. The environment provides the opportunity. The plant decides what to do with it. And Cash Express seems perfectly happy with the arrangement. Around 1,500 PPFD At The Upper Canopy The approximately 1,500 PPFD we're seeing is measured across the upper canopy. It's important to say that because a plant isn't a perfectly level solar panel. ๐Ÿ˜‚ Some flowers are higher. Some are lower. Some leaves are directly exposed. Others are naturally shaded. And that's perfectly normal. The goal isn't to make every single flower receive exactly the same amount of light. The goal is to provide a strong overall light environment while maintaining the conditions that allow the plant to use that light effectively. And that's where the rest of the room comes into the equation. Temperature. Humidity. COโ‚‚. Water. Nutrition. Root health. Leaf health. Everything is connected. The light is only one part of the equation. โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€ โš—๏ธ Nutrition โ€“ Just A Small Adjustment There has also been a small change to the flowering nutrition this week. Nothing dramatic. We're simply increasing Terra Bloom slightly. Current feeding: โ€ข Terra Bloom โ€” 2.3 ml/L โ€ข Pure Zym โ€” 1 ml/L โ€ข Power Buds โ€” 1 ml/L โ€ข Sugar Royal โ€” 1 ml/L โ€ข pH Plus โ€” 0.03 ml/L โ€ข Lemon Kick โ€” 0.03 ml/L That small increase in Terra Bloom brought the EC up slightly. We're now sitting around: โšก EC โ€” 2.14 mS/cm And honestly... that's exactly the kind of adjustment I like. Small. Measured. Purposeful. We're not suddenly changing the entire feeding programme because another week has passed. We're simply making a small progression while the plants continue developing through flowering. Cash Express is healthy. Her colour is good. Her flowers are developing. So we're supporting that development without overcomplicating the equation. โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€ ๐Ÿ’ง Irrigation โ€“ Let The System Do Its Job The irrigation remains consistent as well. We're currently around: ๐Ÿ’ง 1.45 L per plant / 24 hours The solution is around: ๐ŸŒก๏ธ 25ยฐC with the substrate also around: ๐ŸŒก๏ธ 25ยฐC And this consistency is particularly important now. The plants are no longer asking us to constantly reshape them. They're asking for consistency. Water. Nutrition. A healthy root environment. Light. And time. The irrigation system is doing its part. The plants are doing theirs. And I'm quite happy to stay out of the way. ๐Ÿ˜‚ โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€ ๐ŸŒก๏ธ Week 11 โ€“ The Current Environment This week's recorded conditions are approximately: โ€ข ๐ŸŒก๏ธ Day Temperature: 26.5ยฐC โ€ข ๐ŸŒ™ Night Temperature: 26ยฐC โ€ข ๐Ÿ’ง Relative Humidity: 61% โ€ข ๐Ÿฅฅ Substrate Temperature: 25ยฐC โ€ข ๐Ÿ’ฆ Nutrient Solution Temperature: 25ยฐC โ€ข โš—๏ธ pH: 6.02 โ€ข โšก EC: 2.14 mS/cm โ€ข ๐Ÿ’จ COโ‚‚: approximately 693 ppm โ€ข ๐Ÿ’ก Light Schedule: 12/12 โ€ข ๐Ÿ’ง Irrigation: approximately 1.45 L/plant/24h โ€ข ? Pot Size: 15 L The environment remains very consistent across the room. Summer still likes to remind us that absolute precision isn't always possible. But we're keeping the important variables under control. And most importantly... the plants look happy. That's always the final check. Numbers are useful. The plants still get the final vote. Why We're Not Touching Her Much This is probably worth explaining again. Sometimes people look at a flowering plant and think: "Shouldn't you be doing something?" Maybe. But not necessarily. At this stage, unnecessary intervention can be more trouble than it's worth. The structure is already there. The flowers are established. The plant has healthy foliage. The environment is stable. The irrigation is consistent. The nutrition is supporting her. So what exactly would I gain by constantly reaching into the canopy? Nothing. We're still paying attention. We're still checking every plant. We're still watching the flowers. We're still monitoring the environment. But we're not touching them simply for the sake of touching them. There's a big difference between caring for a plant... and interfering with a plant. Right now? Cash Express needs care. She doesn't need interference. The Flowers Continue Their Quiet Progress And that's where my attention is going now. The flowers. The developing structure. The increasing definition. The subtle changes from one photograph to the next. She's continuing to move forward. Not explosively. Not dramatically. But consistently. And that's exactly what I want. Flowering is a marathon. Not every week needs to look completely different. Sometimes the biggest changes are only obvious when you compare photographs separated by several weeks. That's why we keep documenting. Because one day we'll look back at Week 11... and realise just how much this plant changed after this point. For now... we're simply watching it happen. The Camera Keeps Finding Her Details Cash Express is another perfect example of why these individual diaries matter. From across the 8ร—8, she's one plant among twelve. But bring the camera closer... and suddenly there's an entire little world happening. The flowers. The pistils. The leaves. The structure. The way the branches carry their individual sites. The way the light catches different parts of the plant. Those details are what make each phenotype worth documenting separately. And that's exactly what this project was created to do. Twelve plants. Twelve stories. Twelve expressions. Same room. Different personalities. โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€ Cash Express โ€“ Still Writing Her Own Story One thing hasn't changed. Cash Express Pheno A is still doing things her own way. She's not trying to become the tallest plant. She's not trying to dominate the canopy. She's simply progressing. And I think that's something worth respecting. We can provide an environment. We can provide excellent equipment. We can provide nutrition. We can provide light. But genetics will always have something to say. And Cash Express has been speaking pretty clearly since the beginning. This is her rhythm. This is her structure. This is her expression. And we're simply giving her the opportunity to show it. โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€ ๐Ÿ”ฌ The 8ร—8 Experiment Gets Even More Interesting The addition of the two new Future of Grow fixtures makes this part of the project particularly interesting. Because now we're not only watching twelve different genetics under the same environment... we're also testing what happens when we significantly increase the lighting capability of the room. The plants have the same general treatment. The same tent. The same irrigation system. The same nutrient strategy. The same environmental management. And now... a much stronger lighting setup. But we're still controlling it. We're not simply maxing everything out. We're finding the level that makes sense. And at approximately 59% power and around 1,500 PPFD at the upper canopy... I'm very happy with the direction we're taking. Now we watch. Better Use Of Light, Not Simply More Light This is an important distinction. The goal isn't: "More watts." The goal is: "Useful photons." There's a difference. If the plant can't use the additional light efficiently because the rest of the environment isn't supporting it, then simply increasing intensity doesn't automatically improve the result. That's why I'm much happier running these fixtures at a controlled output. We have the capability. We have the headroom. We have the control. And we're using the equipment in a way that makes sense for the plants and for the room. That's the experiment. And Cash Express is right there in the middle of it. Looking Ahead From here, we're keeping things relatively simple. We're going to continue watching the flowers. Continue monitoring the environment. Continue providing consistent irrigation. Continue with the flowering nutrition. Continue watching how the plants respond to the new lighting setup. And most importantly... we're going to let them be plants. No unnecessary training. No unnecessary manipulation. No trying to force Cash Express to become something she's not. The big structural work is behind us. Now we're entering the part where patience becomes one of the most important tools in the grower's toolbox. And I'm perfectly happy to use it. โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€ ๐Ÿš‚ Final Thoughts โ€“ Let Cash Express Shine There are weeks where the grower does a lot. And there are weeks where the grower does very little... but observes a lot. This is one of those weeks. We installed two additional Future of Grow Black Series 600W fixtures. We adjusted their output. We brought the power down to approximately 59%. We found ourselves around 1,500 PPFD across the upper canopy. We made a small increase in Terra Bloom. The EC moved slightly higher to around 2.14 mS/cm. And then... we stepped back. Because Cash Express Pheno A doesn't need us to constantly interfere with her. She's growing. She's flowering. She's developing. She's doing her thing. And honestly? She's doing it beautifully. The equipment is there. The photons are there. The water is there. The nutrition is there. The environment is there. Now the plant gets to decide what to do with all of it. And that's my favourite part. Because eventually... the genetics always get the final word. So keep doing your thing, Cash Express. Keep growing at your rhythm. Keep developing those flowers. Keep showing us what you can become. We're watching. And we're enjoying every minute of it. ๐Ÿš‚๐ŸŒธ๐Ÿ’š โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€ ๐Ÿ™ Thank You A huge thank you to Zamnesia for giving us the opportunity to explore these Cash Express genetics and to document this individual phenotype from the beginning. Thank you to Plagron for supporting the garden with the nutrition helping these girls continue through flowering. And a massive thank you to Future of Grow for the Black Series lighting powering this room and, especially this week, for providing the two additional 600W fixtures for us to test as part of the 8ร—8 Adventure. Being able to increase the lighting capability, measure the response, adjust the output and find a level that works for the plants has been a fantastic part of this experiment. We're currently running the fixtures at approximately 59% power and seeing around 1,500 PPFD across the upper canopy, while also reducing unnecessary electricity consumption. That's exactly the kind of real-world testing I love. Thank you as well to Lumiflora for continuing to contribute additional light deeper into the canopy and helping us explore lighting as a three-dimensional environment. And of course... thank you to everyone following the 8ร—8 Adventure here on GrowDiaries. Every week brings another observation. Another photograph. Another little difference between phenotypes. And another reason to keep documenting. Cash Express Pheno A continues to write her own story. She's not trying to be the biggest. She's not trying to be the fastest. She's simply growing. Developing. Flowering. And becoming more herself with every week. The lights are stronger. The nutrition has moved slightly. The environment remains steady. And the plants? They're doing what plants do best. Growing. ๐ŸŒธ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿš‚ So this week, we didn't need to do much. And that's perfectly okay. Sometimes the best thing a grower can do... is provide the conditions, pay attention, and let the plant shine. And Cash Express? She's shining beautifully. Until next week... Growers Love, happy growing, and take care everyone! ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ’š See you next week in the 8ร—8 jungle. ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ”ฅ

June 16, 2024 Day 57 This week nothing changes with the nutrient schedule. I cleaned out the reservoirs and gave fresh nutes. I also made sure to double check the height of all the plants and we have a final height for each of them. Sour Diesel A is looking pretty good. Her final height is 23". Her bud production is looking pretty good as well. Trichomes are coming through quite nicely. Sour Diesel B is looking really good with her frosty fat nugs. Her final height is 21". I haven't touched her so I don't know how sticky she is nothing. But I see good things coming to this lady. Huge buds and lots of frost. Sour Diesel C is frosty, covered in nugs and has a final height of 30.5" tall. She looks fantastic and I wonder what her final yield will be. Her bud production is coming along nicely with buds starting to swell. Sour Diesel D is shaping out to be my lowest yielder. She has very little bud on her and what she does have is a bit slow to develop. I have a feeling this will be my extraction plant. Edibles and concentrate. The lighting is looking great at 45 mol/mยฒ/d. Nothing to change. The plants are very happy. The environment is almost back to normal. The humidity is below 60% for the most part. Yesterday it was all the way down to 52%. Today just under 60% for the morning anyway. The Central Air should be kicking on in an hour or two. Grow System Environment: Temp: 74.6ยฐ RH: 55.3% VPD: 1.27 kPa June 17, 2024 Nothing going on today. No watering, no training, no pics. Just a smooth day in the tent. Sour Diesel A looks good. Lots more frost. Buds are swelling. Everything looks great. Sour Diesel B had a couple leaves popped off, ones that were overlapping Sour Diesel C. Her buds are huge and I'm already starting to see orange pistils. She smells awesome too. Definitely Sour Diesel smell. Sour and gas. And a bit of sweetness as well. Very nice aroma. Sour Diesel C is looking fantastic. Her buds are also swelling and her trichome production is amazing. So frosty and smelly. As long as the buds continue to swell at this rate, this lady will be a pretty good yielder. Sour Diesel D is small as ever. Her buds are swelling quite nicely. They are bigger than A and C for now, but not as frosty. I'm honestly not sure if I did something wrong or if this is how she grew naturally. I didn't screw up the nutrients, nor did I add any stress except for the small defoliation. But that was right when she stopped stretching. I guess I'll find out at the end of the run. I also pulled a couple outer leaves off to keep them from overlapping other plants. Lighting is of course the same as yesterday, and won't be changing until the last 2 weeks of flower. I might drop the intensity down a bit for the last leg of the run. I'm going to research this though. As these are autoflowers they're fine with constant light, but at the end are they looking for less light? I think so. Naturally in the world, the end of a growing season is when it starts to drop on temp and light. So it would make sense to drop the light intensity the last week to help induce maturity and more trichomes. That's what it's supposed to do. I'm not sure if that's the case with autos. Will research and report back. The environment was great yesterday. Today it's a bit humid in my room but it's also kinda humid outside and 83ยฐ. It's supposed to climb up to 88ยฐ today, so I'm hoping the central AC will kick on early. The room temp is well controlled around 70ยฐ. Once the AC kicks on the humidity should drop down to around 52%. Not ideal, but actually within range. If I can somehow get it below 50% I'll be happy. 52% is merely satisfactory but not perfect. Grow System Environment: Temp: 75.7ยฐ RH: 56.1% VPD: 1.30 kPa June 18, 2024 It's Picture Day! Did some stuff today. No watering or anything like that. Sour Diesel A is doing quite well. Her buds are swelling more and more. She's even frostier. I cannot wait to see how frosty she gets by the end. I also checked her roots. I figured out why the container is light. The roots are taking in all the water they can directly before it gets to the container. I'll have to top feed in a day or 2 if she gets lighter. However, she hasn't lost anymore weight in days, but I really need her to moisten the soil in the container. Sour Diesel B is now producing orange pistils. And kinda rapidly. I knew she would be done first, maybe a couple weeks left for her. I think next week, if she is as far along as I think she will be, I'll switch out Big Bud for Overdrive for the rest of the grow. But we shall see. Sour Diesel C is looking really good. Her buds are swelling more and she's even more frosty. As we all know, this one is about a week behind the others, so I expect more swelling and some fat buds. Sour Diesel D needed some leaves trimmed today. They were super overcrowded in one particular spot. So I took 3 of those and then a couple outer leaves that grew out since my last defoliation. Her main cola is getting fat. Just not fat enough. I have a feeling I'm getting no more than 2 oz. I'm guessing just over an oz. We shall see. She's definitely not big enough and doesn't have enough bud to produce a good yield. Oh well. The rest are pretty promising, so I'm not too worried. I added to the lighting today. I have supplemental lighting from AC Infinity. So I installed them today just below the top of the canopy. It should help with the lowers and get more fat buds throughout all 4 plants. I'll keep it at level 7 for today and see how things look tomorrow. The only concern I have is too much light from the main light due to the extra light from the supplemental bars. However, it should do quite well. So we are in a humid heat wave for the rest of the week. The Central Air should be kicking on anytime and will definitely drop the humidity down to about 50%. The temp should stay around 75ยฐ to 76ยฐ. Currently the humidity is really high at 66%. I'll be keeping the tent door open every hour or so until the A/C turns on. The temp is kind of high as well at 79ยฐ. I think I need to try to get the bedroom temp down to 76ยฐ. Wish me luck. It's already 82ยฐ and climbing. Afternoon update: Damn it's hot. Grow System Environment: Temp: 76.7ยฐ RH: 55.8% VPD: 1.34 kPa June 19, 2024 Not much going on today. I may need to water, but that's a maybe. Other than that, just the one pic. Sour Diesel A looks great. Surprisingly, she is nearly empty where the other 3 have more water in them. Her bottom is also more moist than normal. She's in the way back and I didn't bother taking the plants out today. I'll take her out tomorrow and inspect her for any issues. Although, I'm pretty sure I'll be refilling her reservoir this evening and might as well refill the rest. Sour Diesel B is getting more orange pistils. I will have to research when I should be adding Overdrive now that I don't think she has more than 3 weeks left. 2 of flower and 1 of flush. Maybe just a week more in flower. I'm not sure. Researching. She's also getting the natural foxtails I read about. Apparently Sour Diesel, in general, foxtails. We shall see how it comes out. There should be no foxtails based on the environment unless the humidity can cause it. I'll have to research that as well. Sour Diesel C actually took the least amount of water for this watering. She's still about half full where the rest are near empty to about a quarter full. I find it interesting that she isn't drinking like a fish. She's in the second half of flower and should be super thirsty. I'll check the moisture content of the soil tomorrow when I refill the reservoir. Sour Diesel D is getting a nice fat main cola. She is the second most empty with less than a quarter gallon left. It's funny. I'm starting to think it's not the plants, but the dehumidifier on that side. I think it's evaporating the water faster than the plants can drink it. I might have to either move it or take it out all together. We shall see. The lights seems to be doing quite well. I don't see any stress from the supplemental light bars. If I start seeing it, I'll drop the power down to 50%, but I doubt it. They are attached to the poles vertically. I would have much rather had them horizontal, but I took my support bars out. I can't reinstall them or I won't be able to take the plants out. So that's out the window. So vertical it is. I may however install the inside bars if I can and then mount the front one to the tent door with a magnet bar. I might try that tomorrow when the plants are out of the tent. The environment is killing me. When the Central Air is off, the humidity spikes like 12%. Now the humidity is ridiculously high yet again at 67%. I really hate not having a wall or window AC. That would solve all of my problems. So I'm screwed until the AC kicks on. Grow System Environment: Temp: 76.1ยฐ RH: 59.2% VPD: 1.22 kPa June 20, 2024 It's picture day! We have some happy ladies and there isn't anything to really do today. Sour Diesel A is getting fatter buds. They are kind of small, but it's still only week 4 of flower. She's still a little light. I might top feed a quarter gallon. Maybe with Recharge in it. I'll have to decide what to do. She's definitely not struggling, but she does have upward clawing edges. I'll have to research what that means. She is still the frostiest of the bunch. Sour Diesel B is getting even fatter. Frost is starting to come through pretty quickly now. I can't wait for this one to finish up. Sour Diesel C took quite well to the small bit of top watering I did yesterday. Her buds are still small, but that is to be expected with this one. I can tell they will swell up pretty good and there will be a nice bunch of colas. Sour Diesel D looks great. Her leaves are a lush green still, her buds are getting fat and stacking like mad. The buds are so close together, the plant looks like it has a tiny football on its top. I wonder what she will look like all trimmed up. Probably very small. The lighting seems to be fine now. The praying has lessened, so I know the lighting was an issue. Now that it's fixed, it should be business as usual. The environment is absolutely wrong now. The humidity is in the 70s today. And the temp is in the 80s. Just have to wait for the house AC to kick on. Grow System Environment: Temp: 75.7ยฐ RH: 58.2% VPD: 1.23 kPa June 21, 2024 Nothing going on today. No watering, no light changes and I didn't even pull them out. I can see everything that I need to see. Sour Diesel A is getting orange pistils now and seems to be swelling more. Her buds are a little small, but I expect them to swell up over the next 2 to 3 weeks. Sour Diesel B should be done in a couple weeks. She has orange pistils everywhere. I was thinking she would go the same time as everyone else, but it looks like she will be done a week before the rest. Sour Diesel C is looking great as ever. She is a week behind and has all white pistils. Her buds are also a bit small, but I expect them to fill out over the next 4 weeks. Maybe 3. Sour Diesel D needed a few leaves cut from the main cola. The foliage is just way too thick there. I'm afraid the buds won't swell because there's no space at all. Even cutting the leaves off did next to nothing. The lighting didn't change at all. That's it. No changes. The environment is doing the same thing as the last 3 days. High humidity in the morning and lower humidity in the afternoon. Today the temp is a bit wonky sitting kinda high at 78ยฐ. Too high for happy trichomes. I'm working on dropping the temp back down to 75ยฐ. 74ยฐ would be ideal, but this strain also likes it really warm. Grow System Environment: Temp: 75.4ยฐ RH: 59.1% VPD: 1.20 kPa June 22, 2024 Last day of week 4 and we got some pictures! And a video. Sour Diesel A is doing quite well. She has some pretty nice stacks going on. But the most trichomes production. I also popped a few leaves off. They were getting crushed. Only a few though. Sour Diesel B may be ready for Overdrive. I'll check tomorrow, but I don't think she'll be growing much more. Her pistils are about 50% orange, but still stark white on the bottoms. So I might wait a week before starting Overdrive. Big Bud is supposed to go to week 6, but this is a 45 day flowering cycle. A total of 6.5 weeks. Based on that info, I think next week will be a good start for Overdrive and then leave it for week 6 and then flush for week 7. And then harvest. I also took 2 leaves off. They were also being crushed. Sour Diesel C is coming along nicely. She has super long stacks covered in frosty bud. Not a single orange pistil. I'd say she has another 3 weeks before flush. Yet another plant that I took some leaves from. Just a few though. Sticking out and overlapping other plants. Sour Diesel D has this hot mess of a main cola. It's ridiculously large, but it's just a whole bunch of super tight nodes. I'm not sure what it's going to do, but trimming it will be a super pain in the bottom parts. No leaf removal today, but I did take 3 yesterday. As for lighting, I think I should have left the support bars in the tent. I'm not really liking the vertical supplemental lighting. I'd much rather them be horizontal along each wall. I feel like that would be the best way for adding the lower light. I may add the bard tomorrow, but just the back and sides. I still need to be able to pull the plants out for watering and to check for any issues. Not that I think there will be any issues, but you never know. The environment is the same as yesterday and the day before. High humidity in the morning and lower humidity in the afternoon. The temp is bouncing around a bit. Up to 80ยฐ this morning and now down to 78ยฐ. Too high. I need to try to drop the heat down more. Grow System Environment: Temp: 75.7ยฐ RH: 59.3% VPD: 1.21 kPa

Hey growmies, Itโ€™s been a while since my last update on the beautiful Frosty Tooth growing in my Minigrow One grow box. The reason for the delay? Growing in the Minigrow One is so smooth that I, as the grower, almost feel unemployed! Of course, I water her daily, but the highlight of my day is pouring the Plagron Alga Bloom into the watering can without spilling a drop ๐Ÿ˜‚. As you can see, the plant remains beautifully compact and low โ€“ all without any help or LST! The lighting in the Minigrow does a fantastic job of keeping her wide and low. This week, I removed some of the large fan leaves at the bottom to make room, as thereโ€™s quite a bit happening under the canopy ๐Ÿ˜‰. The side branches are developing wonderfully: low, sturdy, and perfectly balanced with the main cola. Over the next few days, Iโ€™ll remove another set of fan leaves, but for now, itโ€™s really just a matter of sitting back and enjoying the view. Frosty Tooth is a beauty: healthy, with vibrant green, large, and strong leaves. I canโ€™t wait to see the first โ€œfrostyโ€ buds this lady will undoubtedly deliver! In terms of nutrients, sheโ€™s getting a daily mix of Sugar Royal, Alga Bloom, and Power Buds. Power Buds, in particular, worked wonders during my previous grows, producing dense, trichome-rich buds. Iโ€™m incredibly happy with Plagronโ€™s organic nutrient line โ€“ itโ€™s been absolutely spot-on. Thatโ€™s it for now! Next time, I hope to show you the first buds forming. The Minigrow switched to the flowering phase yesterday. I extended the vegetative phase a couple of times to give her a bit more time, but now the moment has finally arrived โœŒ๏ธ๐Ÿ€.

This plant has been a pain in the A**... it started doing LST on itself prior to me topping it. Leaning to the side but growing upwards? Really odd to see.

Week 5 of veg honestly do not have a clue how Iโ€™ve managed to get this far with her looking half happy have come across a few slight issues along the way but seems to have cleared up I think, ppms havenโ€™t been reading what I exactly except feeding with 600ppms ph 5.5 all the time as it rises a few points I should be in the safe zone and the run off when measured is way lower (180ppms) and Iโ€™m sure my ec pen is fine so Iโ€™m so confused I donโ€™t bother testing the ph run off as it fluctuates all the time aslong as itโ€™s ideal what got put in I should be fine I heard i just done get why I canโ€™t seem to get

All plants that I didn't know the sex of are female. I have six female plants in total, I know there are too many for my grow which measures 60x60x140, but I'm sorry to discard them. I'll keep doing SoG, to learn about it. But i have one question about defoliation, do you think I should do it or leave it as it is? Thanks guys

102 days and it's harvest time There is plenty of amber and cloudy trichomes on the buds, it's got a really strong pungent smell, thank god for the carbon filter, I've trimmed all the fan leaves off and had to go round the house spraying ona! I have hung the plant whole, not sure how long it will take to dry but I can't wait to smoke some It had been in flush for a week with flawless finish, first time using this product I'm really happy with the way it's turned out, next grow will have a scrog fitted tho as the buds closest to the light have grown bigger so I want to maximise this next time The crusty leaves on the back bud site must be heat burn from my tube heater Not sure what the yield will be, any guesses? Smoking on some stardawg tonight to celebrate ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘Œ I will fill out a harvest report when it's dry and trimmed On to the next grow ๐Ÿ‘

The gnats are pretty much gone but I saw one today sadly. We pruned them on the bottoms to give more room to grow. Next grow I hope to do it sooner. We are going to be starting nutrients back up on Monday which will be exciting.

Man, that plant is really taking off. It's finally starting to look just like the good old Gas House Parent. I can almost smell it already. Can't wait to see how much bigger it gets! Well, another year has come and gone. Yesterday was New Year's Eve, and I want to wish all of you a happy and healthy 2025. May this year bring you all the things you've been wishing for. Let's make this the best year yet!

Feb 22 This guy really is FAST. I guess FastBuds was right. I'll need to attach a timelapse to show just how fast it's taken off.
