D57/FD29 - So, at the last few days of week 4, the SCP had a good push to itself...put on about 6-9" so had to do some bending/leaning of some pretty stiff stems. Unfortunately the only way for them to go was towards the tent walls so drops the light but they're getting WAYYYY over the DLI they should be getting without supplementation of CO2 but its not doing them too much harm. They're drinking a ton but not taking on as much feed (as I've come to expect now in flower) so dropped the base and bloom by 10% (same recommended ratio of 1:1) and kept the PK9/18 booster in there at (what would be recommended) strength for this week...its the same as last week but week 1 (week 4 of flower) of PK9/18 should have been double...didn't want to overdo it as when I used recommended strength 1st time I got it, it created some serious root zone acidification (Which could have been all the K getting used up but was a mare getting the pH up from 4.something every day!!!). Did my usual root flush/wash before adding feed as the EC had crept up to 2.2 (and I know from experience, that starts messing with your numbers if you don't wash that out right) and took about 50L-60L to get the tank to 0.3EC (base is 0.2) was was a lot of salt sitting on/in the roots. Had a ton of underscreen dead leaf to pick up and just cut some wee straggly offshoots (I know, bad idea in flower but they were basically dead/no nutritional value left so basically a bug magnet). Still waiting on Bluelab to send me the RMA approved pH pen...been 2 weeks now since the RMA was approved and still no postage - using an "essentials" pH meter and just dipping in Calibration Fluids between each feed add to ensure some accuracy (As you can see from my recipe page, I like to know what the feed does to the pH - also gives an idea on what they're feeding on when you see pH swings in a different direction that expected). Geekbeast also got back to me. In all fairness, I've been dealing with them direct (Got the light fixture from Alibaba, direct from China - big gamble, right???) and they have been more than helpful. I have been telling them about the light randomly coming on at 5% (lowest brightness) and provided evidence; turns out someone else now noticed the same issue with the Remote App controlled variant and they believed it was a loose control board/wire. They said they did some stuff and that fixed it but I also thought mine was fixed by forcing the dimmer to 0% and it still randomly happened (even though it didn't do it for weeks) so the other person may still get a surprise!! 😋 So, I took out the driver today, pulled out the control board and all wires seemed good and no looseness in the control board (although it does look slightly bent as the Spade for the IR/UV switch isn't fully bedded in). But, like I say, in all fairness to Geeklight, they're posing me a new control board tomorrow from China AND giving me the longer driver cables so as I can put the driver outside of the tent! Give me a bit more room for my Flower Initiator and great to see them honouring the Warranty. Apart from that, wish the SCP would start to set flowers better, they're still looking a bit weak up top but stems appear to be stacking. Hopefully now that last push happened (and hopefully all pushed out!!!!), they will concentrate on buds only...this may be a 10+ week-er - which again, cant really afford as growing tent is drying tent!!! Its supposed to be a 75% indica so would expect bigger/quicker flowering but not showing too many symptoms of being mostly indica...maybe not quite a fully stable genetic line yet?? I dunno but its running slower like a sativa - even with the flower initiator and the late push would maybe imply that too??? Funnily, its tent mate, Red Hot Cookies is 60% sativa and has set flowers quite well so far - showing colour to the tips of the pistils...just wish it would start turning pink!!! We’re officially in the final week for my Strawberry Gorilla Automatic from Fast Buds! 🌟 This beautiful girl has had a very quick flowering phase, but looking at the trichomes, they’re right where they need to be so no complaints! Making butter is not very hard just time consuming but I very much enjoy making it. If you want really good butter you gotta cook slow and for long time. I ground 39 grams of my Granddaddy Purple and Purple Kush with 8oz (227 grams) butter. I decarbed the ground bud at 220 f for 40 minutes. While the bud is in the oven I melt the butter slowly with 1 cup of water. When butter is melted and the oven timer finishes add bud to butter and simmer for at least 8 hours, I did it for 12 hours. Never let boil! Add 1/4 cup water every 1-2 hours. After I will lay cheese cloth over plastic container and strain and squeeze all the goodness out. The leave in fridge over night, I squeeze the sides and drain excess water from below and butter is all ready. Thanks for checking out my butter recipe. Good luck stay safe happy growing cheers!!!!!

Welcome to my Crocketts Confidential diary. I am currently week 5-6 with 5 plants in a smaller 2x3 grow tent. I currently have a 150 true watt LED light about 20 inchs overtop. These girls are something different. Very short distance between nodes. The smell is also unlike anything I have experienced. These girls are putting off a smell stronger than my flowering tent, its crazy! Almost a earthy/skunky smell. Im excited to see how these will respond once we hit the 12/12 cycle. Before that though I want there to be a somewhat significant stretch in veg. UPDATE: I changed out the blurple blue/red LED for a one with more of a fuller spectrum, and honest to god they exploded within hours. Excited/anxious/nervous to see what happens over the next few days, I'm sure this tent will be full very soon now.

Topped this girl this week, she’s growing pretty good. Very nice looking plant to my eye.

On day 1 I adjusted the PH of my reservoir down to 6.1. On day 2 I adjusted the PH of the reservoir from 6.3 to 6.1. On day 3 the buds are really starting to bulk up and are putting out side flower clusters already in week 5. I adjusted the PH to 6.1. The goal is to coast from 6.1-6.3 then back to 6.1-6.3 ect. On day 4 things look good I scoped out the trichs and found some to be filing up with cannabinoids :) maybe she will be done in 7-8 weeks like the breeder says. On day 5 my reservoir temp got into the 80's because when the reservoir gets depleted it lowers the water level below the thermostat and I'm getting into the colder months so the cold air temperatures are causing the heater to heat when not needed. My temporary fix is to place the heater diagonally when the water level gets low and then when the water level drops a little more I will fill my reservoir back up fully so to keep the heaters thermostat running correctly. On day 6 I did another defoliation to improve light penetration and airflow in the canopy. I installed a new "Nano aquarium heater" this will be able to heat my reservoir without being affected by the water level in my reservoir. I also changed out my reservoir and adjusted the PH to 6.1. On day 7 the girls are looking and smelling great! I adjusted my reservoirs PH from 6.6 to 6.1. My Nano aquarium heater seems to do the job nothing out of the ordinary that I could tell after a night in the low 30's.

Yes ANOTHER week of veg and probably 2 more atleast..I just chopped 2 girls today and have another 2 coming down sometime next week so she'll have the whole tent to herself and I will have her in a bigger pot atleast a 4 gallon ... this grow hasn't had the love and attention she deserves and it shows... 1 gallon pot .. minimal lighting and poor diet but now that room is clearing up big changes are coming for her.. she WILL be glorious when she done probably around week 22 🤣 .. Happy growing ✌️. Day 60 we transplanted her (4 gallon )and will give her a couple days then another round of topping so we'll be at 32 .. gonna top there so gonna veg another 2 weeks then flip

22/08/18 - everything’s looking great I’m sure they will be finished stretching sometime this week and also should be getting an additional LED to add to the tent by the end of the week. Also started to lolly pop each plant took about a 1/4 of the leaves etc so far will see how it reacts to this to see if I can continue to 1/3. 24/08/18 - lookin good 48hr after I trimmed the bottom branches/big ass fan leaves in the shade looking miserable so i had to chop em. Still waiting on my extra led in the post.
