Mental rainbow F1 the development and the complex colours of buds forming is interesting and looks/feels dense the plant is mainly focusing energy on side branches as well as main branches bud development and thrichome are steady in development too looking forward to seeing her fatten up over next few weeks till flush

A plant with both standard cellular respiration (occurring throughout the plant, including leaves and stems) and adequate root respiration will have a significantly higher ATP throughput than one restricted to only general cellular respiration in a limited way. Cellular respiration is the fundamental metabolic process that occurs in all living plant cells (roots, stems, leaves, flowers, seeds) to convert glucose into usable energy (ATP). It requires oxygen and produces carbon dioxide and water as byproducts. Root respiration is not a separate type of respiration, but rather a specific instance of cellular respiration occurring in the roots. Roots absorb oxygen from the air spaces in the soil to fuel their energy needs. Roots require a substantial amount of ATP for essential functions like nutrient and water absorption, as well as growth and maintenance of their tissues. The primary form of respiration in healthy plant roots is aerobic respiration, which is highly efficient, yielding up to 30-38 ATP molecules per glucose molecule. Anaerobic Respiration (Inefficient): If roots are deprived of oxygen (e.g., in waterlogged soil), they switch to anaerobic respiration, which is far less efficient, producing only 2 ATP molecules per glucose molecule and also generating alcohol, which can be toxic and kill the plant. Therefore, a plant with healthy, oxygenated roots performing efficient aerobic respiration in addition to the rest of the plant's cellular respiration has a much greater overall ATP production and energy capacity. A soil without organic matter will generally have a low Cation Exchange Capacity (CEC). Biochar is often prized for its potential to increase soil cation exchange capacity (CEC), but this effect is highly dependent on the specific properties of the biochar (feedstock and pyrolysis temperature) and the soil type to which it is applied. High-ash biochars, especially those produced at lower temperatures and applied to acidic or sandy soils, can significantly boost CEC by providing abundant binding sites for cations like calcium (Ca²⁺), magnesium (Mg²⁺), and potassium (K⁺). Biochar is more sustainable than typical organic matter for long-term soil improvement primarily due to its high stability and resistance to microbial decomposition, allowing it to persist in the soil for hundreds to thousands of years. This longevity provides a lasting positive effect on soil properties, particularly by increasing the cation exchange capacity (CEC) over time, while regular organic matter breaks down much faster. Biochar generally offers a much higher CEC than coco coir, though specific values vary greatly; while coco coir might sit around 40-60 cmol/kg, biochar can range from tens to over 200 cmol/kg, with sources like Acacia wood biochar or even coconut shell biochar often surpassing coco's capacity due to its porous structure, creating significantly more cation-binding sites for nutrients, making it superior for nutrient retention. Needs to be charged similar to coco but at a much higger rate. But shhhh.. It's a secret. Ancient biochar-rich soils in the Amazon basin (known as Terra Preta) provide evidence of carbon stability lasting over 500 to 2,000+ years. Recommend a balanced ratio of key cations, particularly calcium (Ca), magnesium (Mg), and potassium (K). A widely accepted general "ideal soil" cation saturation ratio is approximately 65-85% Ca, 6-12% Mg, and 2-5% K. That's roughly what I give mine. Can even add N in its NH4+ form

Bonjour a tous et toutes j ai enfin trouver le temp et la force de sortir les petites de la tante ;) et j ai malheureusement vue que 2 tête de ma melon gum commencer à avoir un peut de bud rot (je n ai pourtant jamais dépasser les 50% d humidité mais j doit dire que les têtes on triplé de volume en 1 semaine et pour la circulation de l air pas top ) j ai donc coupé tous cela et désinfecté aussi bien que je le pouvais, par la suite j ai augmenté l apport en air frais (rajout d 1 gros ventilateur) Autrement tous ce passe pour le mieux fin de semaine on passe au flusch 😉 voilà voilà (Ps= 2 plantes n ont pas été sortie je ne veut pas risquer quel casse vue la hauteur et le poids en bud mais promis vous les verrais bientôt

1st of November, HARVEST, D91 So, after the 24 hours of darkness, she is now beautiful and ready. After chopping her, I hung her for some hours – I had some stuff to do – and after that I did wet trimming since I find it more convenient and I don´t like to trim dry buds. I guess the best way for me would be to leave it drying for some days, do the trimming, then leave it drying some more, but, I sincerely don´t have patience lol. When I was in the last stock to trim (which was the main btw) the top bud looked strange to me so I opened it and it was starting to rot.. I got really sad but what can I do except for trying to save it, right? So I took all the rotten parts out of the top bud and tore it to pieces to watch it closely and keep it from getting any more mold. D94 Today I weighed the half part of the top bud that was already dry and it remained without any mold: 3.6 grams. D97 Everything is dry and now curing, the total weight is 68.6, 65 of the whole plant and 3.6 of what I saved from the rotten bud. I´m really happy with the results, the buds aren´t much dense but they look beautiful. D111 Today is the 14th day of curing. D120 Today I´ll be doing the smoke report, it´s been curing for 3 weeks and the smells is quite good already, I know it can be better but the taste is good already so I´ll be doing it today. (Log date week 7, day 49) So this week was a mixed bag, Tuesday started off with me finding a spider web on one of the lower fan leaves on my Hulkberry plant and noticed some bite marks on some of Fat Banana. In my haste to give rid of the spider mites, i caused some minor wind damage to some of the fan leaves on Hulkberry which caused some copper spotting and a stunted Fat banana cola. After i correctly treated both plants for spider mites and wind damage, they both bounced back and started to recover quite nicely. I also noticed a difference between topping these plants at different times; i topped fat banana when it had 4 cola's but i waited until hulkberry's roots reached to the bottom of my 5gal bucket and she had 8 cola's. A BIG difference in their recovery and overall structure, where fat banana jump out the gate with explosive veg growth and hulkberry struggled for two weeks just to develop it's first set of fan leaves. To now whereas hulkberry is much bigger, greener and bushier than fat banana. Hulkberry has responded much better to the additional stress whereas fat banana has struggled or stalled due to the stressful conditions. All in all wasn't too bad of a week, except for the power going out for a couple of hours on Saturday which raised my grow-room temperature to 90f, i was able to put out a couple of fires this week without any adverse long term effects. I also topped hulkberry on the last day of the week and I'm going to continue to feed them Technfloa at the full recommended strength since they have both responded very well to last week's formula. as always my pic are in chronological order Mr. O.G.T

The Case of the Overdosing Indica: Act I - Week 3, The Breakout Dame (and a Sticky Situation) The dame surprised me. Shot up like a scared rookie in a liquor store holdup. Pushed right through the top of that plastic cone, like a magician escaping a cheap trick. Gave her some room to breathe, let her finally spread those green wings. Responded like a champ, doubled in size practically overnight. Shows she's got some fight in her after all. Just when I thought things were smoothing out, I spot a new player in the game. A spider, fat and sassy, spun a web between Auto Overdose and the dame next door, Tequila Sunrise. Looks like they're getting tangled up already. More trouble on the horizon, or a twisted kind of protection? This case just keeps getting stranger. Stay tuned, folks, Act II promises to be a tangled web indeed.

Lots of bud development, starting to stack up a bit. Thinking I will see a lot more bud growth in the coming weeks. The older PT is finishing up this week and starts our harvest for the next few weeks. I’ll be checking seeds on the buds I pollinated and trichomes on the others. There are a few random seeds isn’t he tent but so far it appears that the majority of the bud is seedless. I think I was able to minimize the pollen like I wanted to. Male plant was chopped at the beginning of this week after only a few pods opened. I only needed a few to get enough seeds to grow again in the future.

Well… Night Owl DDOS OG has been disappointing. I chopped the ugliest one outside and fed it to the soil. The DDOS inside has been chopped and put into my new VCure (first dry/cure w/VCure). The remaining DDOS outside will get chopped and washed this weekend. I’ll reserve final judgement until the dry/cure has finished and I’ve had a sample, but so far I’m not impressed. FWIW I have emailed with Daz about his plants growing poorly and with lots of 1 and 3 finger leaves. He initially responded saying this is normal in flower as the plant focuses energy on bud development. Users in the Night Owl Discord community say it’s the ruderalis traits showing up. Daz has stopped responding to my subsequent emails with additional information and pictures. I was really expecting better from Daz and Night Owl. Banana Basecamp and Chem Town are doing much better even though they are showing some signs of heat stress outdoors. Star Froots Auto from MVG is the star of the grow so far. Beautiful proud plant with great structure and chunky bud development!👍👍

And another week has passed and the ladies are going towards en of flowering. What I noticed the last couple of weeks is trouble keeping it stable and unstunted. The two Forbiddens and one XL all went slower. The one XL Runt in the 5 liters bigger grow bag is going full throttle and is almost done, the others are still filling out. My theories: The bigger grow bag held on to more water, the bigger grow bag kept the roots cooler, the bigger grow bag had in theory the same amount of nutes as the smaller, so the ratios could be more optimal. The bigger grow bag was nearer to the intake of cooler air and not so hot by the heat. Final theory: the bigger grow bag has better super soil regulation and is less affected by the fluctuating PH of my nute mix. For now, it is all speculation. Im considering all possibilities but I think I need to tweak my recipe for autos and always use 20 liter bags instead of 15. Still Im not complaining, they all get to a nice size and we still have some weeks of flowering to go. But the XL Rut on the left is creating fat heavy buds I wish all plants had. Nice how the smell is definately geloto on the both, the XL runtz a little more pungeant, the Forbiddens a little more fresh. This SP 3000 still delivering the goods, with the ventilation still great output, no noticeable loss of output or overheating. Look at the spring deals at www.mars-hydro.com. When is the last time you treated yourself to something nice? Come on, you've earned one!
