Start of week 6. Week 5 went really well, the Glueberry OG girl is packing on bud weight, size, density and she is sticky! She has a green, fresh green smell right now, but I expect that will change over then next couple weeks.

Well, this was a interesting first journey.... the buds finished drying today, 5 days drying, added pics and vids. Just curing to go.... ah nice buds :) Edit: i forgot to mention i went over the buds when i harvested them, and checked / removed any impurities, like gnats caught in the sticky bud.... picked em clean with tweezers... 👍 Edit: needed to air/dry out the buds abit more, and get some Boveda Humidipak for curing.... it's looking good... i'll update with some pics of trimmed, cured buds 😎 The buds turned out beautiful, pungent, pine, berry, citrusy, daytime, medical..... this has theoretical 1:1 - 21% THC, 19% CBD, so it's not going to give u a knockout high.... its medical grade 1:1 ....... side effects - happy, relaxed. haha :) I weighed it dry and came up with about 123.32g (4.35oz) ... i used abit of guesswork in the weight, not to concerned with weight, as to quality.... (that weight is with the test buds added in, +-15g.) .... you can guess the weight from the pics and vids, haha I really enjoyed growing this.... i found the website by looking up the seeds, decided to start a grow diary, it's my first grow, i made alot of mistakes and growdiaries really helped alot, joined a chat group with some other really good growers. Edit - Day 111 - added vid/pic, Been curing for a week, burp and roll em abit twice a day....... smell and taste nicer each day, 👍 Edit - Day 112 - added good vid of trimmed up test bud, beautiful ...... The gap between where you are and where you want to be is measured in decisions, not dreams. Dopamine release is not the pursuit of happiness; it's the happiness of the pursuit. "Mens Dei" Cannabis buds can expand or swell in warmer conditions, but this is not necessarily a desirable effect. High temperatures can cause the buds to become airy and loose, reducing their density and potentially impacting potency and aroma. First 4 weeks flower, blazing hot expansion of buds, 4 weeks after cool off? Why?? What can be made to expand, airy and loose, can also be made to contract, dense and tight. Why? Trichomes do not discriminate, although we like to think of trichomes' primary purpose as being to get us high; they are there to provide photoprotection (sunscreen). Trichomes apply themselves based on area dimensions; the more area = the more trichomes in order to protect. Different from density: Trichomes, the resinous glands on plants, are often produced in response to stress, including high light intensity. This increased production can lead to denser trichome coverage on the plant, stress, stress, stress, stress is the signal. There is a certain beauty in watching the large water-filled buds once swollen to the brim slowly shrink during drying, as the surface areas contract, the trichomes just cluster up to form denser and denser coatings, already dense from high light intensities, UVB exposure, and IPS, and every other stressor I could tweak. Trichomes, the resinous glands on cannabis plants, are often produced in response to various forms of stress. These stresses can be environmental, like excess light(HIL) or UV-B radiation, temperature fluctuations, or drought, or mechanical, such as wind, pruning, or even the weight of the plant's own buds. The plant reacts to these stressors by increasing trichome production as a defensive mechanism to protect itself and its valuable compounds like THC and CBD. Not so much a "master" grower as a master of stress. Psssst. Tip. Trichomes fill with "antioxidants," including THC. Ant"ox"idants, The production of antioxidants in plants is intricately linked to their oxidative apparatus. The plant has limited oxidative capacity/apparatus. During daytime photosynthesis, a large percentage of that oxidative capacity is tied up in protecting the plant. During the night, plants alter their metabolic pathways. This leads to a far more focused production of specific antioxidants, like THC. Plants also produce antioxidants during the day. Excess light, for example, can trigger the production of excess antioxidants as part of their defense mechanisms against reactive oxygen species (ROS). The differential ROS production by blue and IR light can have significant biological consequences. For example, high levels of ROS induced by blue light can lead to cell damage and death, while lower levels of ROS produced by IR light may be involved in beneficial cellular signaling pathways. Long nights under the IR (very low ROS), the boost in cellular respiration, and the boost in energy production. In a perfect world, I'd give the plant a shock treatment of 60DLI in 4 hours and give her the other 20 hours to perform cellular respiration under IR. The stress of those 4 hours would be rigorous and full of stress abound, 1800-2000ppm CO2 is easy for a couple of hours during daylight, it's maintaining it that's hard, but 4 hours is very doable with nothing but a little extra "carbon sugar" in your medium every other night during the first 4 weeks of flower. In my opinion, you only need to jack CO2 for those first 4 weeks of flower to see maximal output, after that it's all about trichome preservation, everything else comes second. Without the temps to assist with metabolism, CO2 is reduced to normal levels along with temps 4-5th week of flower. Buds are primarily composed of water. Developing flower buds, like other plant tissues, require a significant amount of water for growth and turgor pressure, which helps maintain their structure and firmness. Turgor pressure in plant cells is primarily generated by osmosis, but transpiration plays a crucial role in maintaining it. The optimal internal leaf surface temperature for photosynthesis at 1800-2000ppm CO2 is likely in the upper range of 97°F, meaning ambient would need to sit at 102°F-ish or thereabout for full metabolic utilization. That's putting your transpirational pulling force x5 x6 maybe x7 of what it would be if she were cruising at 68F. "My buds won't fatten, what can I do!!" Crank that bitch. If your purpose was to blow up a balloon as fast as you can, as much as you can, would you use 2x force or x5 Force to do so? Bad analogy, but you get the idea. Kiss. Optimize photosynthesis & VPD by day, cellular respiration by night. TECHNICALLY: "While transpiration and cellular respiration are both ongoing plant processes, they are not neatly separated into day and night. Both processes occur both day and night, though at different rates and with different emphasis. Transpiration, the release of water vapor from plant surfaces, is primarily driven by sunlight and photosynthesis during the day, but it also continues at a lower rate at night. Cellular respiration, which provides energy for the plant, occurs continuously, both day and night. " BUT Only 10% ATP can be processed through photosynthesis and carbon capture. 90% of ATP is processed when the plant's oxidative capacity becomes available (NIGHTTIME). Cellular respiration relies on the process of oxidation to generate energy. Specifically, the final stage of cellular respiration, called oxidative phosphorylation, utilizes oxygen as the final electron acceptor to produce a substantial amount of ATP, the cell's primary energy currency. Several environmental factors can hinder cellular respiration in plants. These include low oxygen levels, temperature extremes (both too high and too low), humidity, water stress, and the presence of toxins. These factors can impair the function of enzymes involved in respiration, disrupt the availability of substrates, or directly damage plant tissues, thus reducing the rate of cellular respiration. Factors such as oxygen concentration, glucose availability and temperature will all impact the amount of aerobic respiration an organism will perform. Hi growers! The tent is geting preaty full with that indicas.In the last week I toped al of them ,and removed the lowes coals.With the coals I removed I try to make clones,and root them with honey directly in soil.not sure what I gonna do with them,I'am just experimenting with them 😀In the coming days I'am gonna do some LST on them,and start to floower them. All of them growin fast.Blue Kush have some wired leaf deformaition from the start,but its growing fast.Two or thre of them have some brown spots on the leafs,but thats becouse I droped some watter drops on them. This week I just flushed the plant. I think I could have feed nutes the first day of this week, but I decided to flush from the first day, something to improve next time. I think I should have given the last flush one day before harvest instead of 2 days after, I felt that the coco was a bit too dry and the steam was not as moist as the previous harvest, this would have been great if I was doing 14 days dry, but I'm doing a 30 day dry, so this extra moisture would be great. The last 4 days the lights were turned off, as a consequence, the humidity went up the last 4 days, around 56-58%, I don't think I will do this next time. The total flower period was 72 days, according to Barney's farm it would take 60-65 days, I feel that those values are very accurate, my personal circumstances made me take a bit longer, but I barely saw any amber trichomes at harvest day. It was time to switch over to the DWC setup and really get things going! I set the levels for the equipment with the AI controller (fan, lights, humidifier) and hung the EVO6 light around 18” from the canopy keeping LEDs at 45% on a 18/6 cycle. Using 15 Gallons of RO water to fill the bin just under the net pots I also started to add the @athena_official nutrients. They sent me samples to test out the blended line and will be using the recommended measurements throughout the grow. Starting out I will be using Grow A&B, Cal Mag, and cleanse in the recommended dose. Waiting on my @ACINFINITY_INC Hydro Sensor to get in so until then im stuck using my trusty Amazon stick testers 🤣 RO Water ph: 5.8 PPM: 375 EC: 0.85 Water Temp - 68*F Air Temp - 74 (Lights On) 68 Lights Off Humidity - 60% on average Roots started to come through the net pots towards the end of week 3. ** Added 3mL/Gallon of CalMag in the middle of the week as plants started getting a few spots and turning a pale shade of green. Trying to get things dialed with the nutrients the first few days.

My first grow 'attempt'. I am growing in an insulated shipping container. Using two Fluence SpydrX LED 660W lights. Not currently supplementing Co2. Feeding by hand for now but I will set up an automated dripper. Drain to waste. Growing in Pro-Mix HP w/ Mycorrhizae which contains (65%-75%) Peat-Moss, Perlite, Mycorrhizae, pH adjusters, and a wetting agent. All 5 seeds sprouted!! 3 Peat Pellet, 2 Paper Towel Light intensity set to lowest setting. (8%) Feeding every couple days with 160ppm, 6.0 pH. Overall, pretty good week. Lights on! Using 18/6 light schedule. The peat pellets were placed into peat pots and under a dome. The lights should have been turned on a lot sooner, the seedlings stretched quite tall. Lesson learned there. They continued to grow quite tall. One fell over, it was replanted slightly deeper to support it. Fingers crossed it survives. Light intensity set to lowest setting (8%). A lot to learn.

Die extrem hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit, verursacht durch die vielen Regen dieser Woche hat auch bei ihr Spuren hinterlassen. Ich musste eine daumennagelgroße Stelle aufgrund Budrot säubern. Der Ventilator lief zwar die ganze Zeit im Folienzelt, aber oszillierend, ich habe auf Dauergebläse direkt auf den Haupttrieb gestellt (Etwas ernten möchte ich schon noch.). Die Luftfeuchtigkeit war teilweise nachts bei 91%, der Ventilator kann es auf 74-81% herunterdrücken. Es sollen zwei regenreiche Tage kommen, danach solle wieder wärmer werden und damit höhere Temperaturen und auch hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit. Ansonsten ist sie auf dem Höhepunkt der Blüte, nur die kleinen unteren Buds sind noch im Wachstum. Der Duft ist stark und sehr süßlich geworden, die Buds werden harzig. Auch um Schimmelbildung zu minimieren habe ich die Wasserversorgung sehr eingeschränkt, sie wird von nun an auch ohne Dünger für die letzten zwei Wochen auskommen. Wenn sie es bis zur Ernte in ca. zwei Wochen schafft, ist noch eine gute Ernte für Outdoor zu erwarten. Aber bis dahin kann viel passieren. Wünscht mir viel Glück, ich kann es diesen Sommer gebrauchen. --- The extremely high humidity caused by the heavy rainfall this week has also left its mark on her. Week 4 was a blast. The plant exploded after I topped her. Some defoliation happened during this week and LST continued. Other than that preflower started and it's slowly transitioning into flower. I'm sure to see the first small buds by the end of week 5.

Hello growers and tokers! 👋 👩‍🌾 🧑‍🌾.🔥💨 There has been much change this week!! First there was a big defoliation done, I cleaned the bottom of the plants. All the growth that wouldn't amount to anything because the light doesn't penetrate that low. Also took off the biggest fan leaves to give more light penetration. Then finally switched to 12/12.. After just 36 hours after the defoliation there wasn't much change Some new growth..the colas are stacking nicely which is good. Hope they stretch some more still.. I'm still watering every other day, After the defoliation I watered with only Enzymes 2ml/L to clean the roots a bit then started with the nutrientes again. I dropped the amount of grow nutrients from 3ml/L to 1ml/L and started adding bloom nutrientes 2ml/L for now. I'll slowly be upping the bloom nutrientes and after week 2 I'll no longer add grow nutrients. That's it for this week. Stay tuned to see how they flower. Stay safe!
