Grow Diaries: Week 22 Journal Entry – The Durban Poison Quartet * Date: August 14, 2026 * Location: Eastern High Plains, CO * Stage: Photoperiod Vegetative / Early Transition We are officially hitting week 22 with the Durban Poison quartet sitting in their 25-gallon bags on furniture dollies out on the deck. The growth and vigor across all four plants continue to impress, filling out their canopy space with deep green, healthy foliage. Sunlight Optimization & Layout Adjustments With the sun tracking differently as we push deeper into August, maximizing every hour of direct light is critical. Today, the entire quartet was carefully rearranged on the deck. Shifting the positions of the 25-gallon containers ensures that the peripheral branches and lower growth get their fair share of unfiltered exposure, keeping the canopy uniform and preventing any shaded bottlenecks. Feeding & Nutrition: Sea Kelp Tonic Today marks an important milestone in the weekly feeding schedule: it is sea kelp tonic day. Applying this organic tonic provides a rich array of natural micronutrients, trace minerals, and beneficial growth hormones to support root vigor, enhance stress resistance, and fuel sustained vegetative health as the plants continue their upward push. Phenotype Notes & Observations * DP4 Progression: A special callout for DP4 this week—she is really starting to step up her game, showing fantastic structure and officially beginning to build out her colas. The low-stress training (LST) and welded stakes are doing their job, opening up the inner sites to catch maximum light. * The Quartet: DP1, DP5, and DP6 are keeping pace right alongside her, showing dense foliage and strong branching throughout the 25-gallon setups. Update 8.15.26 Durban Poison Update: Transition to Flower! The Durban Poison crew is officially making the shift! After a solid vegetative phase since sprouting back in mid-March, the girls are starting to show their first exciting signs of flower. * Early Pistils & Cluster Development: Tight cluster formations and fresh white pistils are popping up at the top sites, confirming that the photoperiod crew is transitioning right on schedule. * Nutrition & Care: Following recent top dressings like the seabird guano applied earlier in August, the plants are looking robust, healthy, and ready to pack on weight as bloom sets in. * Training & Setup: Sitting comfortably in their 25-gallon bags on furniture dollies, all four plants have responded exceptionally well to low-stress training (LST). Harvest Es ist soweit, heute habe ich die Cherry Cola RF3 Auto von Fastbuds an Tag 67 geerntet. Für meinen Geschmack ist die rdy und deswegen hängt die jetzt zum Trocknen 😌 Update: Sie hat 20,3g abgeworfen, nicht besonders viel aber es gab dafür ordentlich Schnitt für Butter, bin also soweit zufrieden. Vllt wär's mehr geworden, wenn ich sie noch bisschen hätte stehen lassen aber für mein Geschmack war die fertig. Für mein erstes Mal Mainlining im Airpot lief es auch gar nicht schlecht, habe viel gelernt und werde Cherry Cola RF3 Auto von Fastbuds sicherlich in den nächsten Wochen nomma machen, zum Beispiel Outdoor vor meinem Fenster 🤭 Sie riecht angenehm nach roten Früchten, gar nicht mal gassy, eher minty und süß. Ich lass sie jetzt noch bisschen nach trocknen und dann kommt sie in ein Apotheken Jar und wird für 4-6 Wochen gecured 😌 Ich mache nomma ein Smokebericht die nächsten Wochen, also gerne dran bleiben 😀 Update 24 Tage nach dem Cut: Das Bouquet von roten Früchten hat deutlich zugenommen, es lässt sich anhand der Säure auf reife, frische rote Johannisbeeren und ein zisch von der vorherig beschriebenen Mint smell mit drin und mit etwas Fantasie entwickelt sich das wirklich in die Richtung Coke mit roten Früchten 😍 Geschmack im Vapo ist frisch, saftig und hat was von Ice Bonbons im Abgang. Die Wirkung ist Klar, Strong, Entspannend, Beruhigend und langanhaltend, also denke 28-29% so von der Wirkung. Ist fjedenfall spannend, den Cure Prozess zu beobachten 😊

Start of day 63 hereNot much that I can mess up just flushing with r/o water PH 6.4. However I've learned a lot over the last couple of weeks, thanks to all the great advice and photos in every diary here. My big lessons are that you add nutes at a considerably lesser rate than recommended, in my case especially since I amend my grow medium. Also add all nures in the correct order and ph before finally adding any innoculent such as my home made lactobacillus. I'm working on the don't over water in veg thingy. I learned that I really need more distance on the lights in bloom, as I finally raised them 2 inches a few days ago and have probably doubled the size of yield by doing that alone, they literally jumped up. Finally, well so far I see from a lot of other diaries that I've been wasting a ton of space, so I will try a SoG on my next grow to get a better yield. Checked the trychomes this morning , mostly still frosty a few opaque no amber. Allright thanks again and leave a couple for seed. Day 66 getting close, may harvest tomorrow. I took 2 plants to my brother and he was impressed enough to order some MARS HYDRO and such. We put the 2 plants I gave him in the yard until he gets a closet setup. So my harvest will just be 2 plants. But hey, I'm no longer his gardner haha. Posted a few pics the trychomes today are starting to turn. Happy happy. Day 69 we drove by a dead skunk today and my wife started waving her hand in front of her nose while lowering the window. I couldn't smell a thing. So I guess that's why I clicked, smells normal.

Well, this is my end for now. I'm so happy as this has been my first grow, don't pay a lot of attention on the numbers, i don't have a weighing machine so i don't know what are the exact numbers, anyway i tried to aproximate them. Maybe if you can help me with an aproximate i would apreciate it! I've got a total of 6 complete 750cc Jar and 3/4 from the 7th one. You have more experience than me an maybe can correct me . Those numbers correspond to all the weight that i've got from 4 plants, as you can see there is a strange plant there, that was a mutant one that i was growing with the moby dick, idk what strain is, so I won't do any report of that, just posted the pictures because i liked them. As you can see all my grow was super cheap, I didn't used special lights or special nutrients, i never measured the ph and the EC but thos things paid me a lot, for the next grows I know that get the right measures is the best for growing cannabis, control they way they feed is essential. As I said before, i made a lot of mistakes that make that the plants didn't become XXL they wer like 60-80cm i just let them grow, i didn't use LST or something like that, just defoliate some times the yellow leafs. I want to say thank you to all the people that helped me during the grow, i think that my plants wouldn't made it if you didn't help me, thank you so much! Thanks to the growdiaries community! I just tried a little from the production and it was fantastic, i think that all the love that i have putted on the grow was returned on that smoke. I enjoyed a lot that woody taste. It's super nice. Will edit maybe in 2 months after a good cure is done.

Absolutely blown away by the new 2025 setup, prev ran 3 tents 😂, switched to AC Ifinity 2,4 x 1,2 single tent, 3 x 150 or 6“ fans. Fans all port outside, 2 exhaust with yet uncoupled carbon filters, 1 inlet with pollen filter. 6-7 air push fans (not all yet on 😂). SpiderFarmer 16L humidifier, inkbird RH control, inkbird heat control, heater, trotek dehumidifier (12L) with drain line and reservoir. Blumat system with RO fed 20L water butt, each pot with 3 long ceramic blumats. Data logger from SensorPush including WiFi hub and 4 sensors. One in cellar room (lung room), one above each plant canopy. Setup logger n sensors and track VPD. System running itself

1-17 Seems silly to start a week, but she is alive. For now 😱 Locked her up at sleep time today. I'll check on her Sunday. She is figuring out whats going on. 😂 Since last night was her last light night,( say that one 5 times fast 😂) I let Guy and Luna say their farewells. August just wanted to play. The buds are beginning to swell more and more everyday. The smell is very pungent I can’t wait to see the results for this plant I am very pleased with the way everything is coming out.

During my previous grow, I harvested and made some bubble hash. Afterward, I dropped the used, wet buds onto this coco, and it seems some seeds sprouted from the leftover material. I’m not even sure if they’re photoperiod or autoflower, but hey—let's roll with it! Both my pH meter and PPM meter are broken. I have no idea why they keep breaking so often. They’re ADWA meters, and while you can replace the reading elements, the replacements cost half the price of a new meter. It’s frustrating, and I really don’t want to keep buying them every time I start a new grow

Me encanta como el man-lining está distribuyendo la planta, pero estoy muy asustado pues realmente no se lo que estoy haciendo, simplemente me siento delante de las plantas un rato y después las meto cortes donde siento, de la mima manera las estoy agarrando. Por favor no seáis muy entusiastas con este cultivo, pues en cualquier momento puedo liarla y destrozarlo todo Jajajajajajajaj 😭 -----CALENDARIO DE RIEGO---- 18/03/19 - 400 ml contodos los nutrientes de la "ÚLTIMA" semana @ 0.95 E.C.
