Skywalker OG — Harvest / Trim / Cure Part 1 — The Giants Begin First of all, we want to apologize once again for dividing this harvest series into multiple parts. But honestly… there was simply no other way to do this properly. This Skywalker OG run became massive. Not just in terms of plant size and harvest weight, but also in documentation, photos, observations, and the amount of details we wanted to properly share with everybody following this journey. So instead of rushing everything into one overloaded update, we decided to divide the: * harvest * trimming * drying * curing * and smoke review into three, maybe even four different reports. Mainly because we are dealing with: three huge plants all with slightly different expressions, structures, and personalities. And honestly? These girls deserve proper attention. ⸻ Quick Recap — 12/12 From Seed This entire run was done: 12/12 from seed with almost no training at all. No topping. No aggressive manipulation. No heavy canopy control. Mostly: * gentle leaf bending * small adjustments * minor defoliation * and simply opening light paths where needed The rest? We allowed the plants themselves to decide. To grow naturally. To express themselves freely. To shape their own structure. And what they became honestly surprised us. ⸻ Legends Of The 12/12 Galaxy These plants did not become extremely tall. Instead… they became monsters horizontally and structurally. Massive production. Heavy flowers everywhere. Dense stacking all across the branches. Everywhere you looked: * colas * side branches * swollen flowers * branches collapsing under their own weight Support or no support… it honestly barely mattered. These girls were simply too heavy. The branches kept bunching, leaning, and dropping from pure flower mass alone. Exactly the kind of “problem” growers love having. ⸻ The Fade One thing we absolutely loved during the final weeks was watching the senescence develop naturally. Toward the end, these plants received mostly: * water * enzymes * patience And they faded beautifully. The yellows. The pale greens. The autumn-like transitions. The dying fan leaves surrounding swollen flowers. It gave the room this incredible “end of season” energy. The plants truly looked finished. Not forced. Not rushed. Just naturally reaching the end of their cycle. And visually? Beautiful. ⸻ The Flowers Honestly… these flowers are ridiculous. Huge colas all over the plant. Top colas. Side colas. Lower colas. Everywhere. And dense. Very dense. The kind of flowers where even holding them lightly leaves resin on your fingers instantly. You can see it in the photos too: our hands next to the flowers almost look small beside some of these colas. And we don’t exactly have tiny hands. The stacking came out incredibly effective too. No wasted structure. No airy towers. Just thick, compact, greasy flowers from top to bottom. Exactly the type of structure we hoped Skywalker OG would give us. ⸻ Harvest Day So finally… week 14 from seed arrived. And it was time. We harvested the first giant. And honestly, carrying this girl into the studio already felt surreal. Huge branches. Massive colas. Beautiful fading colors. Trichomes absolutely covering the flowers. Most of the trichomes sat exactly where we personally like them: * mostly cloudy * a touch of amber * and still a few clears remaining Because honestly? It is impossible to have every single trichome perfectly identical at once. And this specific harvest window gives us the balance we personally enjoy most: * potency * terpene expression * complexity * and overall effect balance Not too early. Not too late. Right in that beautiful middle ground. ⸻ Charas & Resin One thing that immediately stood out during harvest was how absurdly sticky these plants were. Simply removing fan leaves and touching flowers started building resin layers onto the gloves almost instantly. And naturally… we started collecting charas. For people unfamiliar: charas is a traditional hand-rubbed cannabis resin made directly from fresh living or freshly harvested plants. Unlike dry sift or ice water hash, charas comes purely from physically collecting the resin through contact and friction. And honestly? We absolutely love this type of medicine. There’s something incredibly old-school and ritualistic about it. Sticky. Greasy. Dark. Aromatic. Almost alive in texture. Very different from the finger hash we’ll later collect during dry trimming sessions. Fresh charas feels softer, oilier, richer, and incredibly expressive terpene-wise. This Skywalker OG produced beautiful charas too. Easy to collect. Very greasy. Very resin-heavy. Exactly the kind of resin that instantly tells you: “This plant is loaded.” ⸻ Full Plant Drying After harvest, we decided once again to dry the plants whole. Entire plant hanging. All of them. We personally love this method because it slows the drying process slightly and helps preserve: * terpenes * moisture balance * aroma complexity * and overall flower quality This first plant will now dry roughly: 7–10 days under: * 18–20°C * ~60% RH Although during the first couple of days we intentionally lower humidity closer to: ~45% RH mainly because these plants are extremely large and dense. And with flowers this thick, we prefer removing the initial excess surface moisture a bit faster to reduce risks of unwanted issues like: * trapped moisture * stagnant humidity pockets * or bud rot After that initial phase, conditions stabilize again for slower drying and proper curing preparation. ⸻ What Comes Next The next reports will continue covering: * the remaining Skywalker OG plants * their individual structures * harvest observations * drying progress * trimming sessions * cure * and eventually full smoke reviews All while still staying within this same harvest week timeline. Because honestly? Each plant deserves its own spotlight. And each one brought something special to the room. ⸻ Thank You Huge thanks once again to everybody following this journey. To the growers. To the silent viewers. To the curious minds. To the old followers. To the new followers. To the skeptics. To the lovers. To the people stopping by for just a few seconds. To the breeders at Zamnesia behind these genetics. To Plagron for the nutrients. To Future Of Grow and Lumiflora for the LEDs helping drive this jungle. To everybody creating the gear, tools, and spaces that allow growers like us to keep learning and sharing openly. And especially to the growing community itself. Because without growers sharing knowledge with growers… none of this culture survives. From grower to growers. 2021-11-07 Yesterday, I transplanted the "Puddin" into 30 L Growingpot, and took her into the urban Chili She had grown out her prevouis airpot well, and showed lots of wonderful Roots I used a Peatfree, organic Growingsoil, I hope it works well But the description sounded well Good Ph, prefertilised ( EC 1,6) with coco , perlite and woodrasps, for drainage andadded mycelium I gave some " living Organics" into the Planthole, and added Living Organics into the water. so all the medium gets enough microbacterias So far so good, in last case i topped her multiple to spread the canopy for later training _stay courious_ 2021-11-10 After the trining plant remains droopy, idk?... whats going on maybe i watered to much we will see I trained her with LST Supercropping and Topping Topping goes on ontil I have at least 16 Colas to make a nice ring xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Big Shout- Out to @urban_chili For sending this wonderful complete Growbox named „urban Chili 3.0“ for our CHARITY GROWOFF @Silky_smooth and me, are using the same Equipment for this entire Grow. Notfallprotokolle treten in Kraft. Grund? Gelato 41fast UNKONTROLLIERTE GEWALT. Heftig. Sind superdick lang und schnell wieder braun. Bud Körper bilden sich und sind hart. Und das überall. Ok tiefer gleich kleiner. Am 001.009.021 wird sie 71 tage alt. 35 in Blüte. And, what the phylaxien! I mean they re unnormal. Never seen phylaxien growing so massive (i mean pls look at one phylaxie., i think theyre big,) and then as FAST they go brown. Boah difficult to explain. I checked the soil. Wet enough. Looking my Gelato 41 FAST. She is everywhere healthy. I read this is a monster genetic But to see, how it grows! This strain is (so far) different from all the others i made with before. First its a photo. (accidently because I'm a idiot) Than 2 weeks untrained growing. Than not vey lovefull i showed her her new grow direction. And the smell. Of Gelato 41 fast is.. The smell of Gelato, 41 fast. Heavy smell on your fingers from everywhere. Steam, sheet,,, buds are becoming sticky. I mean i smell vanilla schololade. My Next noise means she smells like an gelateria. And YES! SHE IS! FAST! GREAT! WORK(till now).👍🏻 👊 I tried to make some defoliation... You wont see on the photos. Just 3 leaves and 8 little buds somewhere i found. O8. Oo9. I cut off 2 side branches. I knewed it before that they will take only energy from the GELATO 41 FAST. But holy mother earth, she got enough of this.POWER! And its me a little ankward, because im the only one till now, who got an growdiary of this FABULOS HEAVY SWEET SMELLING STRAIN! And., the BREEDER SEEDSTOCKER, himself is watching this GROWDIARIE!!! And holy mother earth... Im so a noob. First I thought it was business, advertising. The contact, i mean. Than, after i joined the original website of SEEDSTOCKERS, and i read what i really bought! THE PENNY FALLS.. Its the FLAGSHIP.! ( . So im the advertising? Oh je oh je. I do my best, but remember, please, (and because of some little mistakes i did) . . . OK OK ok ok, big mistakes! It is not the yield another grower can go for it, what i expect i will harvest. But HiGHEST Quality! This is what i expect. And dont get me wrong, I build an joint of some fast dried micro buds. Brought to a friend. After the third time Jonny goes out(because after one or two breathes he forgotten jolly Rogers). He Realized it. "Hey i hold the joint now all the time (15 min). Why don't you say a word?" "I knewed it. But i just smiled. Looking about how long it takes till you notice it!" He thought a few seconds "Longer"… Both began to laugh. So the quality i try will be heaven! DID YOU REMEMBER THE SEED WHEN I FELL IN LOVE? SMARAGDGREEN. 10.09 Everday you can see the buds go with more flesh. And sticky as nothing i had before. Smelly? Yes. It is! It seems that i had an Sativa dominant phenotype Like the leaves form. (and from some fresh harvested i smoked, with 75 % milky trychomes, and the rest clear... 😛 Heavy uplifting, motivated you start to do something! As you start to moving you discover that you re really stoned). And my 0.36 m² tent is from the GELATO 41 FASTer as i never seen any Cannabis so quick blooming, sticky everywhere. ABNORMAL! in a great way. And i think, soo small arent they. Or?

a lot of rain and little sun does not allow the girl to be happy, but it will stop soon:) the girl's leaves are already huge, the girl still has a lot of vegetation time left, so she will grow and I think she will be really big:).

Do-Si-Dos Auto is entering her final phase of flower with full-on fade, swelling buds, and thick trichome coverage setting in. This week she showed steady maturity across all sites — pistils began curling in and changing color, but many are still white and active, especially on the lower buds. I gave her a Cal-Mag watering early in the week and have since transitioned to mostly plain RO water as she finishes up. Temperatures climbed to 86°F indoors with 45% humidity, which may have pushed her a bit — I noticed some light upper-leaf clawing from heat stress midweek, but nothing major. The fade is progressing beautifully with purples and yellows coming in across the larger fans. Trichome checks showed mostly clear heads with a few starting to go cloudy — still no amber yet. She’s not ready to harvest, but she’s getting close. Buds continue to stack, and I’ll be checking trichomes daily moving forward to time the final flush and chop.

Hey everyone, I may have stressed her out too much in the beginning:/ she’s been staying small but growing still, looks healthy but we will see what happens I guess. Will run her till she’s done but not sure what the outcome will be. Have a great week

It was a easy strain to grow and was happy with the several watering she needed! I was feeding her every couple of days and she rewarded me with some immense dense buds! I have one more of this strain that might be heavier! I just got done with my 2nd plant and she was a big one! Got 792grams or 27 Ozas Wet weight! My best so far with a 5 plant limit this is the weight of only 2 of the 5 I grew..

Runtz is a very hardy plant, has a great structure that folds well. The buds are medium sized and insanely hard, full of resin. Even the bottom buds are hard and nice when you let the light through. I definitely recommend this strain

11/24/2021 First true leaves are showing, transplanted 7 jiffy pellets into their first pots. Should be good for a couple weeks. Interesting to see how all the single finger leaves are developing differently. 11/25/2021 Transplantation complete #8 potted up into a small pot temporarily, Will start feeding next week Mirimichi 901C One ounce (7.8ml) to a gallon. I am guessing (prediction) #2,#6 might be male. (Both are vigorous girls) But time will tell.

Blue had a solid start right out of the gate. She grew nice thick, full leaves and was happy as a clam cake.... Until I decided to FIM 🤦‍♀️. I had originally planned on topping her like her tent mate, but someone suggested a FIM, I had never done it before, so I thought, "Why not?!" Well Blue didn't seem to like it all that much, and as she began to grow out I did a poor job of opening her up enough to get proper sub-canopy circulation. I think this was mostly due to a combination of me not knowing what to expect from a FIM in regards to its grow pattern and not having a clear vision of my end game from the start, and the fact that Blue Dream'matic seems to just be a generally "bushy" plant and my natural grow style didn't adapt quickly enough to due her justice. Looking back now, I should have done a better job at doing a bit more defoliation than I did - but I found myself holding back once I had realized the stress I caused the plant from the FIM. That was a mistake. Over the rest of her grow she took a nice turn for the better. I went through and stripped some of the lower buds and opened up her underbrush as best as I could. She ended up giving me some nice fat trichome covered buds in return. I cut her down and hung her in my climate controlled closet holding 69.8°F and 55%RH. Six days later she was jarred up. Blue Dream'matic gave me 85g/3.0oz of quality bud plus an additional 1.9oz of popcorn bud. A day after being in jars I noticed the humidity in the jars was 79%, so I put the buds into some brown paper bags overnight, and this morning I let them get some more air. The buds being so large are sneakily holding more moisture than I had realized. I'll update with my strain review once she's done curing. ✌️000

This week I've only been doing LST and minimal defoliation. Next week I'll be doing Bruce Banner topping, since it's a backlog, I'll be doing some experiments on it. I also used on one bush the training method - super cropping (video).
