The weather has continued to be hot and now it is cooling at night. Lows have been 11 degrees. Plants were fine and getting bushy and a bit taller. The sizes are as follows; #4 the shortest is still the shortest at 49", next is #3 at 53" and the second tallest #2 is now the tallest and biggest at 69" and the biggest before #1 (which took the beatdown) is 67". All look good. #1 is starting to bud out and looks like it has been budding for over a week. Happy days! All smell strong and great. I can smell them from my car. Love it. The rest do not look like they are budding yet. I guess they may be shorty behind. Fed the one in bud bloom nutes and the others got veg nutes. I will be back in two weeks and may adjust at that time. The three plants all look nice and bushy with lots of branches. Hopefully good producers. The other will be limited. Hope weather holds up. Learning a ton as I go. Started low stress training using rubberized wire poked down into the soil. Spent a lot of time just tucking the fan leaves down. I'm an idiot when it comes to watering. I dont think I'm getting enough down to the bottom of the pot, but dont want to over water. I'll just continue with what I'm doing.

This week I had to remove my red light (sad because red leds are the most efficient one in terms of pffd per wattage) the reason for that is bleaching of the tips. Scientists found out that cultivars start bleaching if u hit 600 umol/m2/s red light (just red photons and not every strain bleaches). Besides that I did nothing to them. From now on I will try to keep the temps low but with a pretty small day/night temp difference. Now preservation of terps and maturing are my points of interests. Some nice colours are getting through … that was supported by some nitrogen deficiency. This was Not on purpose but better than burning them with nutrients. (Nitrogen is required to produce chlorophyll, which is Green. If u reduce the nitrogen towards the end you can support other pigments to come through.) I will change some things next run, but I already had 5 galling fabrics pots so this is where I’m at. I made homemade drip rings out of 1/2 inch tube. Each tube had 1/8 inch holes drilled into the bottom of it. They will be controlled by their own shut off valves individually. This is also because I’m using the last of a bunch of stuff. Some pots are pure coco, some coco/perlite, and 1 pot of promix hp. Because they will all take water at different rates, and I have an automatic water system, shutoff’s will be used to control the amount of water when the pumps turned on. This seems like a lot but I had everything on hand. Next run will be rockwool slabs and double the plants. Lights are only running at 30% 250ppfd at the top of the plants.
