So after conferring with one of my dispensary-grower friends, he said that its likely because I had "dry patches", which essentially means, that certain areas of the pot were not getting wet and the roots down there were dying. After being more attentive about evenly watering, and a little defolitation, she's back to looking her old self. Even better actually. She's loving flowering, almost to the point of screaming to me "FINALLY!", and I couldn't agree more. Its been a chilhood dream to be abke to grow my own weed. So after all these years, I am beyond excited. Its so close I can almost *smell* it lol. SideNote: I also took two cuts for clones incase this bud turns out to be bomb.

Day 50. They are flowering !!! Plant A is taller and starting to run !!! Drop her down a bit and raised plant B to keep even canopy. Yesterday they got nute blast, close to 850 ppm. Planing plain water and one more heavy feed this week. Trimmed bottoms a bit, few sucker branches and few leaves gone. Happy Growing !!!

Overall a fun and enjoying flower of the purple sunset. She transitions quickly and stretchs fast. Being an indica hybrid she doesn't get too tall, thus creating strong and sturdy branches to hold her fast dense frosty nugs. During the stretch she loves a good amount of grow notes. Week 2 to 4 she starts getting picky. Once she starts to fade, it is time to drop the grow nutes and go into full bloom early in week 4. This cultivar shows more phenotypical expressions depending on climate and flush. She shows huge purple hues in flush. Allowing her to go into week 9 to 11 can result in almost purple buds. She has a nice term profile in flower and once in the jars. Sweet candy grape 🍇 purple punch notes on the nose and on the pallette when exhaling on the smoke. When trimming this girl she was. Breeze to trim. She got a good 8 to 9 days to dry and was then sweat in the jars. When you smoke Ethos purple sunset the indica really hits you like a train. Taking her down at day 52 was a good choice. The high feels like any of the high once u smoke it. You don't start to notice the stoned effects until you're halfway through a big bowl with your partner. As you guys finish, you notice the body stone take in effect as well the heavy chest and trachea feeling which I LOVE. A sense of happiness and relaxation set in almost immediately. Very enjoyable indica high with great terps. I would give it a 10 but that maybe next run once grow her to week 10 flower. Overall Ethos purple sunset delivers. Beautiful flower full of trichomes. Smell and test fantastic. Very fast flowering. She was done on day 49 but I cut her down few days later. I love the strain, the only thing that I will like this strain to have is a better yield. Beast quality buds I ever grew.

The tent is a jungle of smells, and the air is thick with a mix of sweet pineapple, heavy cream, and that funky cheese undertone. Most of the white pistils have now tucked in or turned orange/brown, and the plants are starting to pull mobile nutrients from the larger fan leaves the "autumn fade" is officially here! The Ladies: Pineapple Express F1: Still the undisputed Queen 👑. Her main colas are rock hard and coated in a sticky layer of resin. She’s starting to show some beautiful purple/yellow hues in her fan leaves as she nears the finish line. White Runtz: The "Chonk" of the tent! 🍩 Even though she the tallest girl is the tent, her bud density is incredible. The frost on the Runtz is next level it looks like she’s been dipped in sugar.(And she is now drying) Blue Cheese F1: My little rebel. 🧀 She stayed compact and "boujee" with her 3-fingered leaves until the end, but don't let her size fool you the smell coming off her is the most pungent in the tent. She’s finally stopped that weird side-branch stretching and is putting all her energy into ripening those dense little nuggets. Care & Nutrients: Feeding: This is the last week of full nutrients. I’m still using the Bio-Bloom and Top-Max combo, but I’ve started tapering down the Fish-Mix and TNT Complex to let the plants use up their stored nitrogen. Watering: They are thirsty! I’m still giving about 1L per plant every other day, ensuring the pH stays steady at 5.5-6.0 to avoid any late-stage lockouts. Environment: Keeping the humidity lower (around 45-50%) now to prevent any bud rot issues since the flowers are so dense. Temperatures are steady at 27°C lights on. Next Steps: It’s all about the jeweler's loupe now. I’m checking trichomes daily. We are looking for that perfect 10-20% amber ratio before we start the final flush. It won’t be long now! Question for the Growmies: Do you prefer to harvest when trichomes are all cloudy for a "heady" high, or do you wait for more amber for that "couch-lock" feel? Let me know below! 👇

6/22 End of fist week in newly remodeled grow room! Clones did well with transfer from clone machine to grow rails. Got rid of the 3 inch neoprene Inserts for the sliced pipe insulation. Wrapping the pipe insulation around the root riot allows me to see the base of the plant and the root riot witch provides a good indication of moisture level in the rail. By zoning the high pressure irrigation, the pressure is running higher than the last round and I found my settings at 3 minutes every 30 min too much water. Added 10 minutes to root dry time to 40 minutes off. Seems to have done the trick and leaf curling has diminished. 😀 All set for new round.
