Week five of my first cannabonsai/mother project. This young lady has been having nothing but tap water for the last few weeks. I am going to start feeding her as soon as she shows the first signs of deficiency. After all the training on day 20, then the root reveal on day 26. I left her five full days to recover before messing any more. Then I took all her fan leaves off and adjusted the LST. I need to train here more over the coming days. Beginning of week.. No more Floralicious Plus.. It just makes the water very nasty. She is drinking like fucking crazy. She keeps drying out pretty quickly so I've been leaving some water in the runoff cup for her to have some extra on days Im not gonna be aroun till lights out.. We will see how that goes.. The leaves are still slowly yellowing.. I guess rOoTbOuNd is the issue?? Maybe?.. for once lol.. I understand tho cuz it is just a 9oz cup.. But she will make it! Got some slight red colors coming through on the tips of some top leaves (see last pic in Beginning of week) and the tips of a very few top calyxes.. Last time this plant was pretty colorful.. Hoping to get even more out of her this time around.. So I'm chilling the water.. Not just in the PM but every watering will be chilled. AM and PM.. About 35°F, I believe.. My PPM/EC/Temp meter doesnt show the correct temp.. Everything reads 50°F.. But it does great reading the TDS.. So it's still a keeper in my eyes lol. Mid week.. The bottom set were pretty yellow and were easy to just tug off.. So I did.. Colas are starting to swell.. Under my 60x loupe, it seems like damnnear all the trichomes are cloudy.. Not many amber just yet.. And I'm not checking the leaves.. I'm checking trichomes on the calyxes.. Like you're supposed to lol.. Alot of people dont seem to realize that.. They see some amber trichomes on a leaf and think its time to harvest when you still got 2, 3.. Maybe even 4 more weeks to go lol.. Just what I've seen alot of.. But I know I'm on the right track.. She is pretty healthy for the most part.. Her clone is getting thick asf too! Lol.. Just 3 little nugs hahah.. I only water/feed it with runoff from her morher that has been a little watered down.. So far shes happy and loving life as well.. Not a bad strain for buy 10 get 10 free.. I wanna see how the White Widow Photoperiod turns out.. May throw one in under the 320H when I get all that set up.. Just waiting for this girl to finish for the most part.. Then I can get started on that. End of week.. Lookin gorgeous asf! Calyxes are turning a little red toward the very tops of the colas.. Leaves are slightly doing the same.. Still some slow yellowing.. But the buds are super happy and healthy.. Still waiting of more pistils to turn.. But she is starting to swell nicely.. I love these girls... Lol.. On to the next...

8/14/23 - Day 62 - The buds are getting bigger and starting to connect. There are so many buds so close together that for sure these are bound to be big buds. I'm noticing the smell is starting to get stronger as well. The roots are still looking great. We did another water change today, a couple of days late. I just forgot to do it. There are some pictures in here of my RO Water Setup. I have a water hose that I hook to the RO unit, and then it passes a 1:1 ration of water to wastewater. Right now, it's all done manually by me, but I have plans to make it automatic. I had to throw this update in as I was sitting at my computer. I opened the door to where the box is, and my wife said, "WHOA..... things are going well in there, huh?". I was in the room doing some peaking in the box. I then closed the door and went inside. My wife yelled that out from the other room, triggered by using her nose..... lol So now I need to air the room out before I open the door to leave after visiting the box. Lol, I need an airlock of sorts! I actually have a carbon filter and inline fan I could hook up and run when I walk into the room. I can have it turn off after X number of minutes......Looks like another project! 8/15/23 - Quick update. Today is day 63! 8/16/23 - Day 64 - Overnight, she looks much bigger. Day 50 from reciving my seeds and equipment and day 46 since I put her into Coco: 25/Oct/2018: She is doing so well and is in her first week of flowering! I saw massive differences and a boost in her budding thanks to Canna PK 13/14 and for those that suggested I start using it (I started at 0.5ml per L, 3 days ago). Her roots seem to be doing very well (I see fuzz of healthy fungus and microbes on the roots when they sprout out of the fabric pot! Please send any suggestions on my use of nutrients!

Hey folks, Late update this week due to a big rain store we had last Friday. It called for 5mm of rain which equated to about 3.6L of water for each plant! A bit much for young plants with a small root system, but the good news is that the smart fabric pots did thier job to help dry out the soil. Since our last update, I have topped and defoilaited the damaged leafs from my f$%# up last week. Girls are healthy and show no signs of slowing down. I also started some basic LST with 3D printed plastic clips! They work great and I will be modifying them a bit to provide me more angle selection. If you guys wanna know more about these clips please let me know. Other than rotating the pots and doing some regular maintenance, everything looks good, gnat traps are up and so far there are no signs of them which I credit keeping the topsoil dry. I have not water the plants and it is calling for rain tonight into Thursday, so it seems like mother nature is doing God's works of water my plants for me :).
