Day 1 of week 8 , about 3 weeks left until harvest. The buds have a higher percentage of amber pistils. The buds are getting a bit wider and their hairdo is a bit less spiked. Some minor issues with low humidity in the seedling stage. Once past the seedling stage this was a very easy grow. After my daily reservoir change I noticed after moving a few buds that yes i'm smelling licorice . It smells exactly like licorice sticks . I also get pine and some other spice, maybe cloves. My carbon filter still keeps the smell under control but opening the tent gives you a good slap. Buds look close to being ready . I will do a trichome check Sunday and a video. OK I took a few trichome pictures today at 8 complete weeks (Saturday ). This is my first photo period grow so I want to go close to the 10 week Cropking suggested flowering time.

12/11/22 - Added some more soil to each pot because the top roots were starting to show. Mixed in perlite and diatomaceous earth. Watered and fed, giving bloom nutes now along with everything else. About 1000ppm's. After another week or 2 of stretch, will go in and defoliate hard one last time. 12/12/22 - big overnight growth spurt! Upped the nutes a little bit and they seem to have responded well. 12/14/22 - Watered with plain water. 12/16/22 - not much to report, they are continuing to fill out and stretch. Have had to raise the lights several times the past week and a half. Am anxious to defoliate and really see the buds start fattening up, will do sometime next week. 12/17/22 - gave nutes today. CKM is losing more leaves than I want, but seems to be healthy overall. Will have to keep an eye on that. All are continuing to stretch.

There’s argument to be made about genetics and structure but there’s also no denying that the Nun dug a little deeper and found something that her peers didn’t or couldn’t. With the onset of pistils, Purple Wedding Glue saw a rehoming with an entirely different set of environmental parameters, namely slightly higher DLI and a crash in humidity to 50-55% that she accepted with grace and poise followed also by a jump in nutrition with the start of her flowering solution minus the first week of flower K dose. And that’s where the complications set in… As I write this I’m looking at the start of leaf stress, inward curling on the new growth sans any burning or clawing, that I’m attributing to myself and my propensity to push the envelope in the name of frugalness. Bio diesel state very clearly on their foliar feed chart “we advise using Rhino K within the first 24 hours of mixing”… I did not lol, and I now believe that 72 hours is asking too much of the solution 🤣. So the foliar application of K brought with it a hiccup but nothing dramatic, lesson learned, only fresh foliar mixtures from now on. But that situation lead me to leave out the K from PWG’s first coco soak. In saying all that the K application did see a tightening and decrease in node spacing and subsequently a slow in vertical growth. A welcome and expected result as PWG was suffering from a slight case of scoliosis due to cramping in the nursery tent. And smell. PWG now comes equipped with an olfactory experience. A deep waft of her admittedly early main cola site suggests a slight but evident dank on the front and burned coffee on the back, no doubt to change and evolve as she matures but any scent beyond planty chlorophyll gets a smile. Great week. I went back to 24hrs of light to keep the environment steady, because I put a few babies in there. She stretched about 10 inches and has a lot of bud sites. Pretty satisfied with the new nutes all my ladies seem to be soaking it up.

New to this so let see what happens.

BUBBLE KUSH has just been top dressed, I am seeing signs of excess Nitrogen in the top leaves, they gave gone shiny and darker in colour. I top dressed on the 27.8.25. Them issues with the haze xl really upset me wate of tome effort and money so im not impressed with 1st impressions of sweetseeds im sorry but we have to be honest im this community would you not agree but on the plus all my fastbuds 100% success

A microbe product, PH going into the medium is around 6.5-6.8 and coming out is between 5.5-5.8, so something is acidifying it up. Also noticed the runoff last week was a bit higher at times. So lowered the feed down quite a bit, going in at 1.4EC vs 1.8 will bump it up to 1.5 and 1.6 in the next few weeks. I also added in a bit of a PK booster. nothing to crazy only 60ppm worth on a total allowance of 700PPM Lights now running at 100% with V1 spectrum, decided to go with 100% now vs after stretch, will see how it works out. the plants slowed down a bit this week due to pruning, but then they resumed and are developing well

In week 4-5 a fellow grower pointed out that the plants may be receiving too much nitrogen, so I just watered with ph water for a week! Not too sure how to tell if the water is working but planning on switching to flower nutes after this week.
