🇺🇸Grow Journal🇺🇸– Week 5 – Mother Gorilla (Royal Queen Seeds) Week 5 Summary This week didn’t go as planned. I switched nutrients, and the plant didn’t respond well, possibly due to overfeeding. I probably should have transitioned more gradually to avoid stressing it. Nutrient Issue • Previously used: Formulex • New nutrient: Ionic Hydro Grow • Possible cause: Ionic Hydro Grow has a higher concentration of nutrients than Formulex. The sudden increase may have stressed the plant. • Symptoms: The new leaves are showing signs of damage, which could indicate nutrient burn. Typically, deficiencies affect older leaves first, so it seems more like an excess—but I can’t say for sure. Corrective Actions • Diluted the nutrient solution to lower the EC. • Initial EC: 2.6+ (but my tap water already has a high EC, so the actual nutrient EC is hard to determine). • New EC: Below 2, but again, since my starting EC is high (around 0.8-0.9), it’s difficult to get an exact reading of the nutrient contribution. • pH adjusted to 5.9-6.0. Current Conditions • Light schedule: 18 hours • Humidity: 70% • pH: 5.9-6.0 • EC: Below 2 (but actual nutrient EC remains uncertain). Next Steps • Observe the plant and see if it recovers. • Adjust the next nutrient mix carefully to avoid overfeeding. • Continue light training (LST), but growth has slowed due to stress. Que pasa familia, vamos con la quinta semana de floracion de estas Gorilla Melon feminizadas de fastbuds. Vamos al lío, de las 3 plantas, me quede con 2 por espacio, siempre pongo alguna semilla de más por si no abriese alguna por no perder ese hueco del indoor. Y ya superaron el shock provocado por el mismo trasplante. El ph se controla en 6.2 , la temperatura la tenemos entre 20/22 grados y la humedad ronda el 50%. Ya empiezan a formarse las flores y progresan a buen ritmo. Hasta aquí todo, Buenos humos 💨💨💨

Buds schwellen schön an und werden langsam auch richtig frosty. Farbe kommt ein ganz bisschen aber hauptsächlich noch alles grün.

Rolling into week 3 from seed roots are starting to drop through the net cups and down into the solution. Growth appears to be a lime green color, which would indicate that they are in need of more Nitrogen (N). One is struggling to keep up with the others and is looking a bit mutated and is not responding well to the nutrients I am using. I am going to add some 5.8 pH water to her rez and see if the dilution helps. Over all happy with the progress so far, Will post again next week with new progress.

Week 4 update! 🌱 Week 3 is done, and the ladies are now three weeks into their flowering phase. So far, everything has gone really well. However, one bud and the plants in the front showed slight signs of potassium overfertilization, which likely caused a calcium uptake issue and led to minor necrosis. No worries, though – today I completely flushed the entire system and replaced it with a fresh solution. With this reset, everything should be back on track 💪💧. On top of that, I decided to bring out an old Cree& Osram LED lamp as a booster. This will provide the two smaller front plants with more light intensity so they can metabolize the higher nutrient levels more effectively 💡🌿. Everything is looking great so far!
