Tag 86: Auf in die letzte Woche!

End of Week 9 of Flower. I can just taste those buds now! The smell is intoxicating and the view is picturesque. There is definitely a noticeable difference between the two pheno's but I suspect both will pack a good punch. There has been some purpling in some of the top leaves which I expect will increase with the drop in temperature the last week or so. I cant wait to get some good pictures at the end of the week as Ive decided the chop day will be this coming Sunday. The clash of yellow, purple and green is always my favourite so I plan to capture as much as possible since the next update will be jam packed with pictures of the girls just before their chop and after 48 hours of darkness to get the last of that resin production from the plant. I will also take some pics of the hanging plants in the drying cupboard. The reason I am leaving my plants in darkness for 48 hours before they get chopped, is that it has been long belived that this practice will increase the last of the thrichome production and some say increases potency. There has been a recent study in the Netherlands which does confirm increased resin production for plants left in 48 hours of darkness (they also tested 24 hours darkness but found 48 was better) at the end of their flower cycle. The chop has been planned to be pretty straight forward where I will just be taking off the main fan leaves and leaves with no thrichomes as well as chopping off the larfy/popcorn buds which will go straight in the freezer for a fresh frozen bubble hash run. I dont bud wash my flower as my tent gets a regular clean each week and always gets a full deep clean when every harvest is over and besides, its only me and my friends that smoke it! The drying cupboard I use for drying is a small cupboard designed for storing and drying clothes which I have put a carbon filter and fan as well as a small desk fan to circulate the air as well as a small dehumidifier just incase there is an increase in humidity. So the basics of drying is that you want the area where you are drying to be dark and fairly cool (its recommended to be between 15 and 22 degrees C), have a humidity level between 45% and 55%. I aim for around 21 degrees C temperature and 50% humidity. The drying time can vary depending on strain but its recommended to dry the buds for 7 - 10 days and I will explain further about how to tell if your bud is done drying and is ready to be cured on the next post. Drying is very important as you can affect all your hard work if the conditions arent right and the bud ends up too dry (luckily these days there are ways to fix bud thats too dry) or you end up with mouldy ganja which isnt save to smoke. Its also believed that a good long dry in good conditions helps increase potency and also has been shown to reduce anxiety. Welcome back growfessors to another episode of growfessor theatre! 👽🌳💚 Week 8F begins for the ladies of the 4x8, last round of feeding before the flush. LSD has gone crazy over the last week, insane bulk-up in her buds, from top to bottom, in by the stock and out to the tips, she's just bulky, dense, sticky, frosty and incredible! By far, the best looking results from any of my LSD grows. Green Crack also looks incredible and the rest of the ladies, while doing awesome, will be their final grow in my garden. This lady has been Transplanted on day 39 since she was planted and she will be grown with the complete biotabs organic line, I have applied for this 50L pot: 25g of startrex for every 5L of soil so I've used 250g of startrex in total, then I've dropped a spoon of mycotrex in the planting hole and when I finished I finally added 5 slow release tabs for this 50L pot, and then I watered right after the transplant with 1g of bactrex per liter of water and 1ml/L of orgatrex, this is gonna be a fun season, stay tuned everybody!!

Plants are going beautifully. No problems. Easiest grow so far. I’m running dangerously low on weed and I’m quarantined. If u read this message pls send weed 😷💊

Week 2 flower Day 1, Day 29 from seed. Bent her head just a little and removed a few leaf blockers! She got a tent all by herself. Smellin good now too, only one open stinking up the room! 🤤🤘 10-5 250ml 10-6 1/4 cup poo, 3 tbs buildaflower scoop of connect. 10-7 water, started a tea, 1/4 poo, kelp, yucca, cal/mag, recharge! Tried to keep it simple. 10-8 Day 34 Lovin her tea! Lst and defol, open her up a bit. Slight defol and used some clips. Fun with pictures! 😁🤘 10-9 Last day of the week! Her head and another branch took off enough for me to bend it! Was worried wasn't going to be able to. But we got her! Helped a ton!. After spacing her out, had to play musical tents! Just feeding her water and getting her ready for harvest, she’s almost there. Buds are really full and heavy. Branches are tilting down from the weight. I believe, i’ll harvest at the end of this week, but the rain might might put a dampner on that.

She just seems to get frostier ❄️ by the day and her aroma is reminiscent a of sweet vanilla cake with a hint of kushy funk. I keep checking trichomes, but still not a much amber. Maybe another week or more. Also, I realized my BlueLab Conductivity Meter has the option to switch to EC. Since EC is the most accurate way to measure the nutrient concentration in a solution, I will now be measuring and reporting EC readings rather than PPM. Beans keeps trying to let me die but I'm not going out like that. Hes probably just jealous of my reproductive organs📏

mantienen un bonito verde y un crecimiento notable y siguen manteniendo poca altura. trichodermas 1g/10L + 2gr/10L de micorrizas. Hasta esta semana se venia regando mitad destilada / mitad agua del grifo , el agua del grifo de base me sale a 0,8-9 EC y tengo que mezclarla con destilada para que me quede en 0,4 EC. Pués bién, a partir de ahora regaré con agua de osmosis inversa que sale a 0,16 EC. Hasta ahora venia añadiendo call-Mag cada 10 dias áproximadamente y ahora lo añadiré en cada riego para subir hasta 0,5 de EC, acontinuación le añadiré el nutriente que toque sea cual sea. esta semana también hubo un aumento de las temperaturas y algun dia llegaron las máximas a 29-30ºC por lo que me deshice de los calefatores y subí los led un poco más, a 40-45 ctms. de las copas así no sea tan agresivo. El armario tanto si hace calor fuera en el exterior como si hace frio lo sufre y es que no lo tengo dentro de casa y tengo que ir cambiando cositas según época del año.
