Medium: Look, I love coco/soil, organic/synthetic just as much as anyone. I’ve never really hated on any particular method and each has its uses depending upon the environment. That being said.... hydro is likely to be the predominant indoor method for us going forward. It ticks all the boxes that the average hobby grower is looking for. Maintenance is generally pretty easy, while I’ve found myself monitoring ph and tds more frequently, I’m still only mixing nutes once a week instead of three. The hassle factor is crazy mitigated here: 1:. From a sustainability perspective, nute consumption is wayyyy down, saving more dolla bills y’all! Added bonus is that veg. Growth rates are just insanely fast. Easily a 2 week savings in time pre-flower🤟😎😳. It is a little bit of a tricky medium but once you dial in the ratios - smooth sail’n the whole grow. I can focus on training/maintenance instead of feeding🤟🤟. If there’s a drawback to DWC it would be that I’d have concerns about leaving it for more than a couple days when she’s in full flower. They just drink so much that It’s a constant top off. All told, far and away the most effective and economical medium we’ve used😎. Method 🎚️🎚️🎚️🎚️ Under this COB light system, the best method to date has definitely been a mainline. It’s got so much canopy penetration that we’re pulling down 16” long colas packed with well developed buds. The mainline training didn’t take long in DWC - roughly 4 weeks of veg. And she was ready for the flip. We only extended it a further 2 weeks to keep pace with another grow in the same space. Otherwise, I would’ve cut the veg. Time back to 4 weeks which would’ve made the behemoth of a root ball a little more manageable. We also iceballed the res. With frozen water bottles twice a day throughout the grow. Just to keep temps down and avoid any potential issues. Whether or not there’s a better, more efficient way to get these kinds of results remains to be seen. We’re still trying to strike that balance between faster veg. Times and maximized yields. If anything, I wouldn’t be at all surprised if the hermie issue at the end had something to do with the root ball binding on itself due to size. The true culprit was an unanticipated light leak but still - The ball could’ve been 2/3 the size and likely have produced similar results🤷‍♂️. I’m giving the method a slim 4 because it was a great success but too long a veg. Yield/Harvest🌴🌴🌴🌴 Regardless of the final number, we had hoped that the yield would’ve been bigger. She’s a beauty of a plant but didn’t really puff out as much as we were hoping for. At least not a mainline on a 6 week veg. At 5.125oz we’re obviously not complaining and the colours in late flower were some of the best ever seen😎👌😎👌. What she did yield was frosty, dense and surprisingly stinky AF. I see no discernible difference in the quality of the terp. Profile vs. Any of our previous organic soil grows. For those who tout this as an advantage in soil media, I say get urself a bucket and a bubbler, then we’ll talk. Hydro is just straight up awesome: 1:. 4 palm trees on the yield - any haul north of 5oz is a great addition to the cellar: 1:😎: 1:😎. Day 30 - Hers has a mild thrip problem so I tried to kill as many with my fingers and then applied Captain Jack's Spinosad. It doesn't look too devastating but I've never dealt with thrips before so I really don't want it to get out of hand. I've continued the LST on his which should make for an interesting comparison between the two plants. No nutes yet as my FFOF has been running kinda hot lately. Overall I'm very surprised with how these 2 plants bounced back after a very slow start. It may have taken a while to get to flowering but the main stems are very thick and I expect another decent harvest from my favorite Mephisto strain. Day 31 - His has popped right up from the last round of LST and some side branches are already benefitting from the extra light. Day 33 - Short video tour of the tent!

02/26 start of week 8 last week I harvested a branch off each got to taste em now #4 and #1 are omg good after the other 2 are ok but nothing special seeds on all of em mature seeds to harvesting fresh frozen 200 grams each plant on Saturday. Waiting one more week after that to chop and hang the rest 03/01 harvest around 200 grams each pheno fresh frozen and washed it. Huge learning experience didn't get what I was hoping at all but now I know I gotta have a better set up if I wanna make my own hash also got watered 10 gallons plain water

Sticking with a Seedsman strain this run as they seem to be the most consistent in my personal experience. Seeds always sprout, have had a 100 percent success rate germinating seeds from Seedsman after popping at least a couple from 4 different strains of theirs. On top of that the quality has been there each harvest so we are giving one of their most popular strains a go and we shall see where it takes us. Although this run I will be trying amended coco coir instead of my usual peat based mediums in an attempt to avoid a pH fallout when the dolomite lime wears out or is used by the plant and allows the peat to become more acidic mid flower. At least this is my theory.. I guess Ill find out. Another thing to note is that for germination I start in a glass of water for 12 hours and then transfer the seeds into the paper towel method by placing them in a damp paper towel until the tap roots are long enough to plant into starting pots.. by far my most successful method personally.

Update: Took less than 3 days for all 3 seeds to pop. They’re all looking good, standing tall. Couple shells stuck to cotyledon leaves. I’m just going to leave them there. In the past my OCD has wanted them off and I’ve F’d up the leaf. I’m going to leave them covered with the cups until tomorrow, hopefully true leaves will be starting then. I got an email from FastBuds and it showed their suggested feed schedule so I’ll try that and see how they like it. Hi Growers. The sponsored FastBuds Auto seeds have arrived!!!! I decided to run the Pineapple Express and the Blue Dream. According to the grow info on the website they seemed to be in the same size and duration range. It should also give me a wider variety of effect as well. I planted 3 seeds of each strain directly in 3 gal fabric pots of new Sunshine #4 mix and lightly watered with RO water. They’ll be lit by a Spider Farmer SF4000 which is on 24 hrs at the moment at 30% around 30 inches high. Day 58: Everything seems to go smooth. I got my new lamp up, and are experimenting with dimmer, hang height, and space between the bars. This is new for me, my old lamps is garbage compared to this! But as I have 2 pre-/flowering girls, and 4 babies I decided to go with little space between the first 4 bars (for the adults) and the last 2 have some more space between (for the babies), and are not going all the way to the edge. The adults is higher, than comes the teens, and finally the babies so they don't get the same light intensity. I am currently running it pretty low, about 35% and will see the next couple of days how the girls will react Day 61: The girls are starting to hang a bit. I do not know what is causing it, or is it just normal? I took the pictures and video about 3 hours after the light turns off, so it might just be that they are sleeping? Other causes could be too little light, as I just switched to my new light, and are running it for the first time. Maybe I do not water them enough? The humidity has also increased, and is around 50-65%, maybe that is the reason? I also started using RO water, so could be something with the nutrients? Do any of you fellow growers have any idea? UPDATE: Big thank you to @Maltaherbman for your answer. I have raised the lamp a bit. I read 900+ ppdf on my phone before, and now I am getting maximum 800. This is properly not a correct reading, but at least I have it to compare with. I waited to see what happened after the light turned on. Ill took 2 new pictures, and the left lady is all ready recovered, the right one almost, so they might just have been sleeping, but ill keep the light as it is for now. Also a big thank you to you @GrowingGrannie - I keep the coco wet at all time. I have been flushing them a couple of times before, so maybe the watering volume this week is a little lower than usual. Also the watering volume is kind of an estimate, but I will take your advise and keep better track of how much I am watering, but I think its about 2-3L every 2-4 days

Einfach schön zuszusehen, wie die Sex Bud an Masse zulegt. Die Farben überaschen jedes Mal wenn man das Zelt öffnet. Der Geruch wird langsam merklich stärker. Wir haben die ersten braunen Trichome entdeckt. D.h. wir gehen in den Endspurt. 👽

Ha sido un grow muy divertido, me ha gustado como ha quedado finalmente, una planta bajita, con muchas colas, algo finas pero bien prensadas y con mucha resina. Ha sido una de las plantas que mejor ha consumido los nutrientes durante todas las fases de cultivo. El aroma es bestial, tonos cítricos y a hachis . Pronto actualizo con notas de humo.

Day 22 22/07/24 Monday Nothing new to report. Starting to see them beautiful fans appear that's all 😁✌️ Day 23 23/07/24 Tuesday Feed today, giving them straight all nutes Inc flowering nutes. I will update the dose as they grow and develop a bigger hunger. (Not sure what's wrong with Overdose #2, bit mutated, we'll see how she gets on 😅) Video updates 👌💚 Day 26 26/07/24 Friday De-chlorinated watering pH 6 with 5ml calmag to 5L water. Watered each with 250ml and had small run off. I will continue to feed/water with small run offs to help prevent salt build ups. Video update.

Hab mir ansonsten noch eine Migro Aray Intra 160W für das under Cannopy besorgt, bin gespannt was draus wird 🤩 Die trinken aber auch wie verrückt, habe vor zwei Tagen den 47 L Tank voll gemacht & jetzt seieht der Tank so aus😭 [ Bild ] Es ist einfach nur verrückt

Been another smooth week. A few of the plants are starting to show signs that they are moving towards to finish line. Seeing some swelling, pistils starting to brown, and some beautiful purples coming out in some of the buds. Been debating on giving them a dose of dry koolbloom, but I will probably just keep them running on the maxibloom until flush since they look pretty happy. Thos candy cane is popping up a lot of deep purple tones but I'm not really liking the lack of swelling in the calyxes at this point. She has a nice sweet candy aroma, but I am thinking she will be the loser of this grow when judging bag appeal alone. Hoping she puffs up over the next week or so.

Every single seed popped — we’re off to the races! Using my custom organic mix: Back to the Roots potting soil, worm castings, coco coir for airflow, and top-dressed with a mild manure blend. Temps hovering around 78°F, RH around 60% (shoutout to the damp towel trick 🙌). No domes anymore, just letting them adjust naturally. Cotyledons look strong, first set of leaves coming in hot. Watching like a hawk — and yeah, maybe talking to them a little. We’re growing bud, not just plants. Let’s gooo
