Greetings my dear Jungletamers, So a major surprise came when @MarsHydroLED contacted us and asked if would like to try out their new SP 3000 light. Being a fan of Mars Hydro for years, we of course accepted their offer. We are totally in love with this light. I was when I saw it in another grower's setup and was in awe of its output and results. With many lessons learned from the previous grow, a mighty producing strain in the form of Expert Seeds Gorilla Glue #4, a.k.a Expert Gorilla's and a tweaked super soil mixture, we are setting out to hopefully get over a gram per watt, preferably 1.5. The Setup A 4.5 (140 cm) x 2(70) x 6.2 (200) grow tent, giving me a .98 m2 workspace. This space is customized to my needs. A standing fan will provide airflow through the whole grow, a top fan will help guide cooler air past my lights onto the grow. 3 56 ltr pots will be the home for the plants when they are 2 weeks old, up to then in smaller jars. The Light The leading role and star of the show will be played by the Mars Hydro SP-3000, so kindly provided by MarsHydroLED, which we will test and review here and I might say, endorse. Growing this popsicle cake definitely had its ups and downs. What started out looking like a dud of a seed turned out to be something pretty spectacular. Stacks the buds nicely to fill up the whole colas, super frosty, with an un godly stench of sweaty dirty socks. Still in the curing process but definitely has a heavy indica punch!

Some of the bottom leaves are starting to yellow a bit on the larger plant. It looks like trichomes are starting to push through on some of the leaves.

Only 6 left. These one I just don’t want to snap without them being completely ready and even a bit over as you can see with Tangie dream. But the taste is amazing after trying it with the plants that already dried.

I have been using lemon juice as a PH UP since we went organic late last spring. Because of all the problems I have been looking into a lot of things further and found that lemon juice begins to degrade as a PH up after as little as an hour. A 6.0 PH water gallon can go to 6.5ish in 24 hours simply sitting in a dark corner in a jug. One can imagine the variances in soil. Why I dont know but I am going back to chemical PH additives post haste in fact its already done.

Update 30/10 Purple : going well 2nd week of flowering perfectcly. Only issue : cal/Mag or ph deficiency New pH meter and adding the new biobizz cal/mag Master : the topped one is now really at the same rythme.. I defoliate a lot to try how she will react to be honest I am disappointed and I would ear space by loosing her... I don't know! So far expecting a nice yield from 2/3 Guys do you have any idea about when to harvest the purple?

I also made a few upgrades in the bloom tent and moved a few of the cultivars into bloom under 12/12. Also, I realized my BlueLab Conductivity Meter has the option to switch to EC. Since EC is the most accurate way to measure the nutrient concentration in a solution, I will now be measuring and reporting EC readings rather than PPM. I am honestly super stoked about every single plant in this run. That said, I think I am probably most impressed by the 🍭🎅🏻 COTTON CANDY CANE lady from Emerald Triangle Seeds. She is incredibly vigorous. She was started nearly a month after all the others (except the 🦍🍪 GORILLA x COOKIES) and has already caught up to some of the taller plants in the run. Special thanks to those guys for sending the freebies for me to try out! Definitely want to try more from this breeder! She is almost a month behind the other plants and is almost as tall as the tallest cultivars started on 8/10. All in all, everything looks great. I knew I'd likely run short on premixed soil, so I decided to transplant the largest plants first. Of course, I ran out of soil after 11 plants were transplanted. It seems like I used a lot more soil than usual with this method and in tgese pots. - I mixed a new batch of soil using the same recipe. I will give the five smallest gorls a few more days to grow taller. Theyve recovered from the heavy defoliation last week. Think ill avoid further defoliation as ive only found mixed opinions of it. Day 31: trained them some more arnthey were sticking out the pot on one side. Tucked away some leaves as well. Day 34: added some coffeground to the soil and tucked away some more leaves. Tied down some more brancjes as well that were sticking way outside the pot. Im afraid the smaller one is stunted as it hasnt grown in weeks. It did sprout 2 days after the other one as i had buried the seed too deep.

Pics taken right before chop, currently hanging for the next 8-12 days and then a cure for a good few weeks. Pictures speak for themselves, I had high temps, supercropped the help out of them and yet are still the nicest looking bud I have ever grown since I started in 2003. Can’t wait to test how they smoke. I have two phenos but off to buy some more to do a more in depth pheno hunt.

The plants seem pretty strong and resilient, have a interesting smell. The buds are very different from a plant to another in shape and trycome production. I had to cut them early because of the high heat, but the majority of the trycomes were milky.
