Welcome to my Fast Buds sponsored shootout and living organic soil v coco side by side. I also plan to use this grow to my full advantage regarding a few age old nagging questions about methods. I have had a keen interest in L.O.S ( supersoil) since reading a few threads a while back on how amazing and productive it can be. After too much research and procrastinating I had to give it a go. I have been a decades coco/nft grower and recently threw my hat in the rdwc ring too. I have avoided soil due to the overwatering worry ( heavy handed chimp brain !) and the best potting soil/feeds. Catching up on the advances in indoor soil gardening and organics led me too subcools supersoil recipes to name a few but being a town dweller with farms everywhere around me still drew blanks on a lot of the ingredients needed and where the hell I could even begin to get them from. Thankfully , commercial savvy has now made buying it in ready to use and with a full range of beneficial bacteria ect available in amendments from a grow shop here in the uk. ecothrive have realised the potential for us to dive into this medium with all the mixing , measuring and resourcing. I bit the bullet and £150 later I now have 4 x37Litre pots that will be used for as long as I want to feed the soil for without EVER needing nutrients again potentially. The coco has also had charge mixed in to encourage the bennies to colonize there too. I will be using the shogun nutes that I know do the business with coco to compare with for yield , growth and taste. I have 3 seeds each of 4 Fast Buds Strains to use as a control for the grow and am journaling each strain in their own diaries. This statement will be used to start each one as the information is identical at this point but following this I will do them individually. I am now starting their second week since opening the seed packets , straight into soaked and shook root riot cubes and into the heated propagator. They had all showed their heads by end of day 3 and a couple needed helmet surgery to open up without being hindered . I have has them in the prop for a few days but they needed to get settled as they were popping roots out all over the cubes. They have now been in their final pots for 2 days complete and starting their 3rd today at day 8 since planting in cubes. I am impressed with the speed and success of these girls already (12 of 13 germinated) . Well done fast buds. So here we go folks , any comments , ideas ,questions , advice are always welcome and I hope we can have some fun experimenting with defol v non defol , topping v fimming v bending and any other curiosities along the way. The photos got root bound, but their growth went crazy in less than a week. If I started the autos february first I started these photos february.Fourth, these approximately have a month to date. I moved two of the fast bud mix photos out of the remaining three that survived into seven gallon pots to let them grow as big as they can.And I will flip them whenever I get a chance, and once I see how the autos are. These photos are being grown successfully in reused.Soil, while the autos in the same general area are struggling.A little bit. Because my audibles are struggling.I think I have focus to turn these photos into a better current grow.And not put these in my backyard, I have another four strains that I will plan for that. I also plan to start seedlings and give them to my cousin.So he can grow in his backyard, and I think I will create diaries for those

Flowering week 9.

wir sind komplett, mit meiner frau sind 4 ausgemacht, die gleichzeitig stehen können. die 2 autos, die heute kamen, sind noch mitgenommen vom transport, aber die rappeln wir wieder auf. Die Super Boof dafangt sich auch nur langsam vom umtopfen. die fitteste ist derzeit die Hash Burger.

This was a fairly smooth week. Right now there is not a whole lot to do. I mainly just try to ensure that my environment stays in check and kind of just sit back and watch the growth take place. I did have one pretty major issue this week with some of my equipment. I want to share incase anyone else comes across this issue, but if you are running AC infinity setup and using their humidifier, it could mess with your AC infinity controller. I woke up this week to find my temps were high and humidity was way down. I went to check what was going on and my conrtoller 69 was going crazy. I couldn't figure it out. I called and there is a known issue somehow when the humidifier is plugged in with other ports being used it may cause the other ports to not work. After a few hours of trying to get everything working, I finally got it resolved. I had to unplug humidifier, reset the controller to default, delete and redownload the app, and somehow everything started working again thankfully. I have my humidifier on a spare controller for the time being as I cant send for a replacement right now, but that seems to be working fine. Other than that though, everything is going great. But for those who love the details, the full spread of pictures is right here, as always. t this point in flower, the girls are not eating — they’re just drinking clean water with nothing but System Clean in the reservoir, at a rate of 0.25 ml per liter. This is part of a gentle, prolonged flush phase I like to implement, giving the plants a chance to metabolize and fade naturally. The goal is to promote clean, vibrant flowers that finish with optimal expression, without rushing the process. No forced flush, just time and care. Lighting-wise, the spectrum has been tuned with precision — we’re currently running 40% on the whites, with reds and UVs at 100% to drive trichome development, resin production, and color expression in these final days. The plants are loving it — they’re soaking in the deeper wavelengths that signal the end of their life cycle and responding with a final push of energy. And yes — we’ve been running 11 hours of light and 13 hours of darkness from the very start of flower. It’s not the usual 12/12, and it comes with its pros and cons. On the upside, it helps speed up ripening slightly, encourages more compact flower formation, and mimics the natural seasonal decline in daylight. On the flip side, it slightly reduces the overall DLI (daily light integral), so you need to ensure your PPFD and spectrum are dialed in just right to avoid sacrificing yield. Today 7/30/19, day 57 and the start of week 9. I'm still continuing to alternate between days with my pesticide treatment (especially after finding that bug living on one of hulkberries fan leaf) and thrive alive green daily foliage spray as a prophylactic solution against any possible pests or mold going into these last few dog days of veg. I will flush them with distilled ph'd water for two days this weekend in preparation for flower. Then I'll start them on some "flower fuel" bloom booster on top of my secret for success flower recipe at 1/4 of the recommended strength. Outside of that still no adverse issue to report for the end of the 8th week. After my last trim, they both have responded very nicely, I was kind of worried about fat banana stalled growth. But one thing I noticed when I topped her at the 6th node, yes the main stem stopped growing but it developed many bud sites up and down every stem. Whereas hulkberry was topped at the 8th node, she has mainly focused on developing long stems and only 2 or 3 bud sites along her stems. Even though hulkberry in structure, is much bigger than fat banana and has a way bigger root system. Fat banana is bushier and has developed way more bud sites than hulkberry. I can't tell which strain will yield the most at this point only time will tell! Also, a big shout out to "J"@RQS, thank you for the excellent customer service. Another reason why Royal Queen Seeds is top 3 in breeding!!

Ak1 is already quite fat, the smell is very strong. Being born with natural pruning made her very fat, just 2 thick branches. Nothing to say, everything is good, I made some clones since 1 week now, and im waiting for taking more maybe the pots will be too small but I want them to be short mother plants

Candyman is now 108 days old and on day 58 of flower! Well the flush has began and I'm aiming for 7-10 days of pure tap water. Pheno 1 still looks couple of weeks so don't think will be at its best due to no drying room 😭 pheno 2 is ready for the chop but still needs flushing. Pheno 3 just looks perfect 😍 to me anyway 🤣

These girls seem to be doing well so far. How much water should I be giving them now? What nutrients should I be adding now? (I am using sohum super soil as the medium)

We have treated for Thrips. All are in flower but #1 is about a week ahead of the others. Banana #2 seems to have some curling of the leaves which is a bit concerning and not sure what’s causing it. PH is between 6.0 and 6.5. Watering to run off which is about 3 liters every 4th day or when pots are light. Feeding every other water. If anyone has any ideas about Banana #2 we would welcome any advice.

Black valium chop Day 101 I'm actually shocked with this one as i thought the foxtailing would make her airy but she seems quite dense considering 😍 smells fairly potent but like a Fruity skunky smell 🤤 got a small bit of finger hash to try later aswell. Didn't get to hang this one as wasn't to bothered as i was thinking of making butter but now i done a wet trim she looks a lot better so now i don't know weather to keep her to smoke 🤣 I don't bother weighing while wet as seems very pointless to me like what i could of had kind of thing 🤣 probably around 4oz I reckon though! I will update in about a week after she's dried in the herbdryer 💯😁✌️🏻💚
