Hello. This the end of week 5 and the beginning of week 6 of veg. Did a little trimming on these plants last week. Getting the training going. Will be using a SCRoG method on them in the greenhouse this summer. So I want them to spread out. I topped all of them and took off 2 large fan leaves per plant, that were blocking the under branches, that were trying to push up through them. I've lowered the light to about 20 inches away, and turned it up to about 45%. So the new branches are getting lots of light. They are getting just about full strength nutrient when I water them now. Next watering will be just water though. I do 2 feedings and then a watering and they are doing good. Every couple of days I spray some mixed peppermint essential oil around in here to help keep the pest away. Pest hate the peppermint smell. I've photographed a new underground comic book for your enjoyment. It's Weirdo #15 printed in 1993. Drawn by underground artist from around southern California and printed by Rip Off press. Yes... there's some weird stuff in them comics. OK. Be Cool. Chuck.

At the end of the 3rd week of bloom the Dough Boy feminised is coming along with pistols appearing all over the plant. The leaves are stable green and the stem is a healthy green. The growth spurt has slowed down with the Dough Boy only gaining 2cm growth this week. The lady will be fed only as required. I will check the E.C level with the next feeding. She stands at approximately 62cm tall

Day 22 When her fourth weeks started, she had 13 cm height. The heat of the last days stressed her a bit, but it will get more chilled the next days. Day 23 Today she was at 14 cm height. I gave her 5l of rainwater. Last night it got a bit cold and the temperature fall to 8 degrees. Day 24 She had 15 cm today and looked fine. Day 25 Today she had 17 cm. No watering. The brown spots seams to be larva of "Minierfliegen" or Agromyzidae as i could not find an English Name. Day 26 She had 18 cm. It was cloudy today, no real sun and the temperature stayed at 23 degrees. It rained for half an hour but was humid the hole day. I found out that the flies are called leave miner flies. Lady bug larva against the aphids were brought out over the plant in the evening. Additionally some larva were done in a little paper bag and hung on one leave. Day 27 Today she had 20 cm height. I will probably water her tomorrow. Day 28 She had 23 cm height today. I gave her 6,5 l of rainwater.

It was a great week for her she has started budding in full force. I have been battling with humidity issues because of trying to make more space inside the tent and moving the humidifier around but I think I got it straightened out now

So the girls are putting on a pretty amount of trichomes, did another defoliation from everything below the net and opened up a bit more of airflow. Everytime I open the room some of the nicest smells I ever had punch me straight in the face😂

🇺🇸 Grow Journal – Week 13 Week thirteen. The plant seems in good shape overall, even though it’s starting to show some light discoloration on a few leaves. I don’t really know what’s causing it. Maybe it’s because the plant is growing and needs more nutrients now. Or maybe there’s some kind of nutrient blockage starting to appear. The substrate has been running for thirteen weeks, so it could be getting a bit loaded. I’m thinking a flush might help — just to give the root system a reset before moving forward. This week I also worked on defoliation and topping. We’re now at sixteen apexes, and I think that’s enough. It’s probably the last topping, because if I wait much longer, the plant is going to get too big and it’ll be harder to manage once she stretches. Aside from that, everything looks fine. However, I did notice a big drop in pH in the reservoir, which is strange. I added Athena Balance, just like always, but the pH keeps going down. I don’t really understand why it’s dropping so much. Other than that, everything’s okay — nothing special to report. The plant looks stable, and we’re getting close to the flowering stage.

Getting close to harvest #1 (#2 is already curing)! The pistils are still mostly white and stretching but some trichomes are starting to turn amber - I'll give it another few days or maybe a week. For the last two weeks I have just been feeding just water with no nutrients.

🌱 Skywalker OG — Week 10 From Seed (Week 5 Flower) “From Expansion to Expression” ⸻ 🔁 Quick Recap — How We Got Here This run followed the same philosophy from the start: • 12/12 from seed • No early intervention • Let the plants express their natural structure For the first weeks, we did almost nothing: • No defoliation • No aggressive canopy control • Just environmental dialing and observation Why? 👉 Because structure is built early 👉 And once it’s there, you can shape it — not before Now we’re seeing the result: • Strong branching • Even canopy spread • Multiple dominant tops ⸻ 🌿 Current State — Full Flower Mode At this stage, the plants have clearly transitioned: 👉 Vertical growth has slowed or stopped 👉 Energy is now redirected into bud development You can see it everywhere: • Bud sites swelling • White pistils exploding across the canopy • Trichomes starting to cover sugar leaves This is no longer about growing bigger — this is about building flowers. ⸻ ✂️ Defoliation — Why Now This week, we made a move. A proper defoliation, and yes — we went deep. • Removed fan leaves with long stems • Opened internal structure • Cleared pathways for light and airflow Why now and not before? Earlier: • Leaves = energy factories • Needed for structure development Now: • Structure is set • Bud sites are defined 👉 Removing leaves now: • Redirects energy to flowers • Improves light penetration • Enhances airflow • Reduces microclimate risks This is not stress — this is guidance at the right moment. ⸻ 💡 Light & Canopy Management With the canopy opened: • Light now penetrates deeper • Lower bud sites receive usable PPFD • Top buds remain dominant but not exclusive This creates: 👉 More uniform development 👉 Better quality across the whole plant We’re no longer just growing tops — We’re building a complete plant. ⸻ 🌡️ Environment & Leaf VPD • Temperature: 26°C • Humidity: 60% Some might question this in flower — but the plants are answering clearly. 👉 Leaves are active 👉 Transpiration is strong 👉 No signs of stress This tells us: Leaf VPD is within a functional range Because: • Healthy stomatal activity • Constant water movement • Balanced evaporation The room isn’t static — it’s breathing. ⸻ 💨 Airflow — Now More Important Than Ever After defoliation, airflow becomes even more effective: • Air can move through the canopy • Moisture doesn’t get trapped • CO₂ distribution improves At this stage: 👉 Airflow = yield protection 👉 Airflow = quality insurance ⸻ Feeding Strategy — Full Spectrum Approach This run is using a combined organic + mineral program: • CalMag Pro • Terra Bloom • Power Buds • Sugar Royal • Pure Zym • Green Sensation Why this combination? 👉 Minerals: • Immediate nutrient availability • Precision feeding 👉 Organics: • Support microbial processes • Enhance terpene complexity • Improve overall plant expression 👉 Enzymes (Pure Zym): • Break down organic matter • Keep root zone clean and active 👉 Green Sensation: • PK boost + metabolic push during flowering This creates: Control + Complexity + Expression ⸻ ⚡ Current Parameters • EC: 2.0 • pH: 6.5 Balanced, efficient, and stable. ⸻ ❄️ Trichomes & Flower Development This is where things get beautiful. We are entering the phase of: 👉 Rapid trichome production 👉 Pistil explosion 👉 Early terpene expression What this means: • The plant is protecting its flowers • Resin production is ramping up • Final quality is being defined now Those white hairs? 👉 Signals of active flower sites 👉 Indicators of ongoing development And the frost… 👉 Just the beginning. ⸻ 🌬️ Stomata & Plant Behavior With these conditions: • Stomata are open and active • Gas exchange is efficient • CO₂ uptake is optimized This leads to: 👉 Strong photosynthesis 👉 Consistent growth without stress Again — the plants confirm everything. ⸻ 🔮 What to Expect Next Week • Bud stacking will accelerate • Trichome density will increase significantly • Aromas will become louder and more defined • Nutrient demand will stabilize • Slight leaf fading may begin This is the phase where: 👉 Structure turns into mass 👉 Potential turns into quality ⸻ 🙏 Gratitude — Always To everyone walking this journey with us: • The OGs • The new growers • The skeptics • The silent supporters • The ones who comment and share • The platform • The community • The sponsors • The genetics • The tools • The lessons Everything matters. With true love comes happiness. Always believe in yourself, and always do things expecting nothing and with an open heart. Be a giver, and the universe will give back in ways you could never imagine. 💚 Growers love to all 💚 📸 P.S. – The Eye Behind the Lens All photos in this diary (for now — except for the ones showing the camera, which I took with an iPhone) are taken with a Sony A6700 paired with a Sony full-frame macro lens and a few more. Photography is part of the story — it’s how we share the fine textures, the glow, and the quiet details that words can’t always capture. I’ve also started experimenting with photo stacking — a technique where multiple images, each taken at a slightly different focus point, are layered together to create one perfectly sharp image from front to back. It’s not digital enhancement or AI; it’s pure photography — a way to reveal the plant’s beauty in microscopic depth, from trichome to petal. You’ll even see a few shots of "ghost me" capturing the shots — camera, lens, setup — because every grow deserves not just to be cultivated, but documented like art. This week I had to Lollipop again (I know is very late and I hope I didn’t stressed the plant to much). My canopy is so tick and so many overlapping leaves and buds in the center of the plant that don’t receive enough light or any at all , n combination with the RH swings that I got going on (45 and 63 RH), I’m very afraid of mold. I should have did a better job at Lollipoping from day 21. I’m inexperienced grower and I didn’t knew better. I decided is better to risk to shock the plant a little bit risking a reduction in yield then get mold or pests and lose it all. My 30 pin dehumidifier works great with the AC but sometimes when the AC( compressor) stops my RH jump at 62% -63%, witch I don’t like . I’m trying to keep the humidity around 50% but in such a small room between the AC and Dehumidifier I got big swings in temp ( 75-82) and RH ( 45%-63%) witch is not ideal but is nothing that I can do. I played with the AC and Dehumidifier setting a lot trying to keep humidity around 50% and temp around 80 degrees and that’s the best I can. My AC is set at 82 degrees and my Dehumidifier is set at 45% RH. Also during the lights off (day time) is very hard to keep the temperature In control when outside is 110-115 degrees with my portable AC (1400BTU) in the 4x 6 closet. Is crazy but I do my best to keep temp under control. This is another rocky mistake I made is trying growing weed DWC in the middle of summer where temps are 105-115 degrees constant in a closet without centralized AC port and at second level in the building. LOL Also I think I underfed her (630 PPM TDS, PH 5.8-5.9) ) and I got a Ca deficiency witch I think is the reason my flowers developed slower then I anticipated. Hopefully I’m wrong and everything will be good. P.S. I got a little bit of calcium deficiency caused by salt buildup (to much PK boost) despite my earlier belief that is underfed. I increased the PPM from week 4 (630-640TDS) to 680 TDS) on week 5 while I kept the PK booster at 3+ml l per gallon. Slightly my PPM’s was rising in my reservoir for few days until I decided that my plant can’t take that much nutrients (PK). 2-3 days after I increased the TDS I’ve noticed more spots on the lower leaves with tip burns on top ( first signs of PK toxicity). One day later found spots and yellowing of the leaves on top of the plant that indicates Ca deficiency caused by salt buildup ( PK toxicity) and reversed osmosis (hope I’m not wrong). Going into week 6 I lowered the PK boost at 1.5ml / gallon and total TDS to 640 PPM. Seems like leaves damage to stop and my PPM to stay stabile at 630-640. Trying to keep PH at 5.8 max 5.9. I will post pictures of my Ca deficiency/ PK toxicity. If you guys have any suggestions please leave me a comment.

We're almost done with the untouched plant! I'm watching daily for the Terps to turn to my taste. So I love sativa's & hybrid's so now I'm wanting almost all of the Terps to turn red but about 15-20% so there's not too much of a heavy couch lock on it. So basically any day now! Baby #2, with the right bottom side missing is still in full flower, working on getting those buds growing. They've gotten so big where I rotate them daily to make sure we have equivalent lighting on every side of the plant. After almost losing 2 of my plants to my toddler, I got very serious. I ordered a hygrometer, so I can watch temps & humidity. A water ph tester. & a tiny humidifier, within like a 7 day period. I got everything to make sure everything was on point. Turns out this FOOP canna food is way more than what I ever imagined. I don't hardly ever have to adjust my ph turns out the FOOP comes very balanced. I now check my ph everytime I feed and water but when I used my food & mix it with water i then check my ph & every single time its spot on! I've kept my routine this whole time. Even the few days I nursed my dying babes back to health. Feeding every tuesday & friday & watering on sundays. I don't know if any of you would wonder if it seems like I'm maybe not watering enough. But autos grow at an insane rate, so giving their roots an airy dryer soil gives them maximum amount of room to grow as quickly as they want. They don't have heavy wet soil slowing them down which gives them more opportunity for growth. SO. I've got 1 plant almost finished. 1 very large plant even with a side missing is still huge, and working hard on growing some little chubby buds. Lol. And then my mini auto growing some chunky buds but not very many. Lol. Pics to come very very soon! I appreciate anyone who reads all of this! I've poured my heart into all of these plants & I hope to only keep learning & loving it!!

Ginger Nut cookies & Aussie music Videos Grow Diary update 27th Feb 2020 The preflowering Stretch has well and truly begun with every branch that wasn't tied down , shooting upwards a few inches. The plant itself looks very healthy and content. Once flowering starts I'll begin to add P+K to the feeding regime. We have had bugger all sunlight here for over a week and also we have had lots of rain and wind. Daily max temps have been around the 24-25 celcius range and the minimums around 15 c. RH has been high 67% on average. That is about it for this weeks plant update . Now for the weekly Music videos. ** Last week I posted the links to three different artists who were picked by fellow growers thru the Grow question that I posted asking for requests. ** This week is back to just the one featured Artist from Australia. This week's artist is Mr Paul Kelly who is an Australian rock music singer-songwriter and guitarist. He has performed solo, and has led numerous groups, including the Dots, the Coloured Girls, and the Messengers. He has worked with many other artists and groups and is considered one of the finest singer songwriters to have come from Australia. Once again I couldn't narrow it down to just one song as he's had many great tunes but I have chosen the two with the best Music video as that is the main criteria for my Diaries Theme. So please prepare to enjoy some of Mr Kellys finest The first song is a brand new one called Sleep Australia Sleep in which he evokes many emotions and anger with his poignant ords and the haunting images of destruction of our beautiful country thru both natural and man made disasters such as the recent horrific bushfires and floods, plus also the damage to our ecosystem from pollution, rubbish and envionmental terrorism performed in the name of industry ( mining, oil drilling coal power stations etc etc This song really touched a nerve in me being a true blue Aussie and passionate Animal lover so I urge you all to actually watch the video and listen to the song. this is the video link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-hY1w_c7nO4 the second song is on a much lighter note & is called "Dumb things " https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZR-eTR3Dcps which apparently was quite popular in the US at the time of it's first release. I really hope you are all enjoying or atleast liking my weekly music videos so please leave a like if thats indeed the case. I'll be back next week with another plant update and Aussie artist and music Video . Cheers 👊👍👊
