We had a bit of a high PH when testing last night so managed to get her balanced out back to 6.3 but some yellow leaves on her. At the same time she's looking buddy and nice, we have cooler and less sunny days this week so hopefully she'll still make the most of the light and plump up some good fill on those colas. I can't see how she'll go to 10+ weeks but hey, we'll soon find out! Learning as I go on these. First grow, first outdoor grow, so all very much an experiment and learning from reading on here, so thanks to you all!

🌱 Amnesia Skunk — Grow Recap (from seed to now) Strain: Amnesia Skunk Auto-Flower: 12/12 from seed Current age: Week 7 from seed Flowering reference: Week 3 of flower (by morphology, not calendar) How we got here • From day one, this run was intentional: 12/12 from seed, no veg phase. • Plants established quickly with strong root development and steady internodal spacing. • Early structure showed vigorous lateral branching, typical of Amnesia-leaning genetics. • Transition into flower was smooth — no stall, no stress signals. • By early flower, canopy density increased fast, especially in a full 8×8 room (~27 plants). This is where room logic started to matter more than single-plant logic. ⸻ 🌡️ Environment Snapshot (current) • Day temp: ~28 °C • RH: ~65% • EC: ~2.4 • pH: ~6.5 • Height: ~40–80 cm • Lighting: LED (multi-layer canopy + under-canopy) On paper? Some growers panic at 28 °C in flower. In practice? This is where understanding beats numbers. ⸻ 🍃 LED, Leaf Temperature & VPD (the part most skip) Under LED lighting, room temperature ≠ what the plant feels. Unlike HPS, LEDs: • Don’t dump infrared heat • Keep leaf surface temperature 2–4 °C cooler than ambient So when: • Room temp ≈ 28 °C • Leaf temp ≈ 24–26 °C • RH ≈ 65% 👉 Leaf VPD lands right in the comfort zone for early–mid flower. And the plants confirm it: • Deep, relaxed green • No tacoing • No stress-praying • Strong internodes • Uniform nutrient uptake across phenotypes That’s real data. We’re not ignoring numbers — we’re letting plant behavior be the final authority. Stability fixing something that isn’t broken. ⸻ ✂️ Defoliation — why it was heavier this week Let’s be very clear: This was not aesthetic defoliation. This was functional, room-driven defoliation. Context matters • 🏠 8×8 room • 🌱 ~27 plants • 🌬️ Airflow, humidity pockets, and light penetration scale very differently at this density A single plant might not ask for it — but the room did. Why we defoliated • Improve airflow through a dense canopy • Reduce micro-humidity pockets • Let photons travel into the canopy, not just hit the top • Reset apical dominance • Refocus energy toward flowering sites Yes — it was heavier than initially planned. But: • Genetics are strong • Roots are dialed • Feed is stable • Plants are healthy Healthy plants recover fast. Stressed plants don’t. Attempted some LST training to expose nodes to sunlight and to trigger more growth below growth tip. I think she needs a bit more nutrients.

Another good week!! I need to LST and defoliate... probably going to do that tomorrow. I fed them this week as well as watered. I will add the flowering nutrients going forward!! Otherwise, I hope this grow continues to go well!! Cheers!!

Ho iniziato a fare LST presto, già dal giorno 15, i fertilizzanti li ho iniziati giorno 18. Alla fine della settimana si sono visti i primi peletti, sta entrando in fioritura.

Lots of issues at the moment, issues with not knowing if I have a deficiency or if the plant is progressing along. Yellowing leaves - should I let them falls off? should i remove them to prevent their getting infected and infecting others?. Outside temp is around 30-32 degrees making my ice pack on the pot side solution insufficient to keeping the temperature stable. Lots of tucking and the canopy is reaching 1m2 and the roots are so massive they fill the bucket completely (15L). They smell fresh and It feels alive, the smell the energy coming off the microbes, beneficial bacteria and mycorrhizza, like smelling a flowing river teeming with life. I didnt train the stems properly (i wanted more horizontality).. Which is causing the issues I have now. But in the old tent (which was 2x2 feet 60cmx60cm) they would touched the wall and created other issues, I hadnt decided yet where i wanted to put it next (120x240cm or 60x120cm). Im learning alot about electrical conductivity (ec) and also about how my plant responds to concentration of fertilizers and helpers as suggested by the manufacturers recipe. I have branches in the front that are not growing to the ideal height, im just tucking and tucking the others hoping they catch up. also the light ppfd is up to 1000. and the distance is about 250cm. Im hoping to get at least 350grams of dry bud, and if im lucky maybe even 500!. I plan to do the same exact grow again, with the same breed (not a clone unfortunately). Hopefully I can increase the yield as well as any factors i deem needing improvement (less electricity, optimal percentage of fertilizer, less fluctuation in vpd). in short: lots to learn! but not enough buffer!

The first week of 12/12 light schedule is over and the stretch is on. Most of these plants are getting huge. I gave each plant a 10 gallon flush and fresh nutrients. Upped the maxibloom a little and increased the reservoir volume to 25 gallons since I won't be around to check on them this coming week. I am thinking we should have some pistils popping on the next update. Nutrients are pumping 24 hours a day. Excited to see how these start to frost over the next few weeks.

Increased nitrogen at 7.5ml/L (EC=2.03mS/cm) this week. They seem to appreciate that. To monitor in the next few days. Watered twice a week with Hesi-Powerzyme at 2ml/L.
