🌸 Week 6 Flower – Gelonade Diaries The Gelonade girls continue their elegant dance into flower, both Pheno #1 and Pheno #2 shining in their own unique way. Their structures remain remarkably similar, tall, strong, and full of energy, while each holds onto her own personality, expressed in leaf form and flower shape. This week we noticed a few small spots on the leaves. Nothing dramatic, nothing to sound alarms about, but enough to remind us that plants, like people, sometimes whisper when they need something. It could be calcium, it could be another minor imbalance, but the key is observation. We’ll keep a close eye, watching for patterns, listening to what the girls want to tell us, and adjusting gently if needed. 🌱 Quick Recap (For Those Just Joining) From the start, this run has been about detail and care. • Germination was clean and quick, the girls leaping from seed into life. • Veg was marked by strong branching, healthy leaves, and the unforgettable funky unicorn foliage of Pheno #2. • Transplanting into super soil and fabric pots gave them the room to spread their roots and breathe. • The shift into flower was smooth, guided by careful lighting, steady feeding, and a balance of Aptus and Plagron nutrients. • Weeks 4 and 5 saw sativa-like stretch, white hairs bursting across every cola, and canopy lights filling every corner with photons. Now here we are in Week 6: the garden maturing, the flowers stacking, the personality of the genetics truly revealing itself. šŸ’§ Feeding & Balance The recipe continues to revolve around Aptus Regulator, CalMag Boost, Top Booster, and Plagron’s Power Buds, Sugar Royal, and Green Sensation, with Aptus All-In-One Liquid helping tie the orchestra together. We’re keeping EC balanced, always mindful that the soil already provides a strong foundation. šŸ’” What’s Happening & What’s Next This week is all about observation. Flowers are swelling, resin begins to sparkle in early traces, and aromas start to hint at what’s to come. What to expect: denser buds, richer pistil coloration, and a canopy that will soon demand defoliation for airflow. What not to expect: miracles overnight. This is the stage of patience, where the magic brews quietly within each calyx. šŸ’š Closing Thought The Gelonades remind us that growth is rarely flawless. A spot on a leaf is not a failure, but a message. Perfection isn’t the goal, balance is. And balance is exactly what these girls are showing us week after week. May the flowers swell with grace, may the leaves whisper their truths, and may the grower’s patience be rewarded in full bloom. PS: Understanding Foxtailing One of the girls, our Pheno #2, is starting to show signs of foxtailing. For those new to the term, foxtailing refers to when buds grow in elongated, irregular patterns instead of stacking neatly into the dense, conical shape we often expect. The result is a flower that looks ā€œspikyā€ or ā€œfunky,ā€ almost as though the plant is growing multiple little towers from a single cola. Why does this happen? There are two main sides to the story: • Genetic Foxtailing: Some strains naturally express this trait, especially sativa-leaning hybrids. In this case, foxtailing is simply part of the plant’s personality, often leading to extra surface area for resin glands, which can even mean more trichomes and aromas. • Environmental Foxtailing: Stress factors can also trigger it — high heat, intense light (too much PPFD), or shifts in feeding can encourage buds to keep stacking in odd ways rather than finishing their round formation. In our case, the temperatures have sometimes pushed higher than ideal, and the lights are running strong, so those factors might play a role. But genetics also carry a heavy influence, and Gelonade — being sativa-leaning, can naturally lean toward these elongated flower expressions. Is foxtailing a problem? Not at all. While it can look unusual compared to the ā€œtextbookā€ cola shape, it doesn’t reduce quality. In fact, it can increase flower mass and surface resin coverage, giving us more material and potentially more complex aesthetics. Some growers even treasure it as a unique expression of their plant’s individuality. So while Pheno #2 may look a little funky, we see it as a gift, more fruit, more character, more story to tell. This is the garden’s way of reminding us that beauty doesn’t always fit a mold, and that variation is part of the magic of growing. šŸ“² Don’t forget to Subscribe and follow me on Instagram and YouTube @DogDoctorOfficial for exclusive content, real-time updates, and behind-the-scenes magic. Hello growers and tokers! šŸ‘‹ šŸ‘©ā€šŸŒ¾ šŸ§‘ā€šŸŒ¾.šŸ”„šŸ’Ø Well! Their time has come, this was their last photo shoot after week 10 of life cycle and right before harvest. We've come to an end of this balcony experiment. Had loads of fun watching these two ladies grow in my balcony. They only received 5 hours of direct sunlight each day. (09h - 14h) So to be honest I wasn't expecting this size and density with such little hours of direct sunlight. This strain is easy to grow and doesn't need much attention. Chopped them on day 73 of life cycle (day 52 of bloom) Both have a nice dense cola, one is thicker while the other smells much more potent. Decent amount of trichomes given the circumstances and blazing heat these past weeks. All in all they look gorgeous, smell great and I'm satisfied with the results. Now to dry and get cured. Then comes the taste testing. I'll update this diary with final weight, photos and all that good stuff as soon as they're done. Stay tuned, stay safe and happy growing! 😃

šŸ‹šŸŒ Persian Pie - Green House Seed šŸŒšŸ‹ Today was a great day in the grow room! I did some transplanting and used a couple of new products that I'm really excited about. I used Extreme Mycorrhizae and mix it with clean soil for the first time. I'm confident that this addition to my routine is going to take my plants to the next level. In addition to the transplanting, I decided to trim back two of the upper fan leaves, to allow the lower shoots to start growing more vigorously. It's all about maximizing that growth potential! Hope all will go this way to the end šŸ™ THX for watching and see you next week šŸ‘Š

This is the 8th week. Thursday will be 9 weeks of 12/12. Some trichs are amber. They just added a good bunch of girth over the past few days, but most of the pistils are red now. The rest of them have been dropping leaves consistenly but the canopy remains full so they must be putting out more leaves. I just flushed to 80% runoff and found out that I had 1200ppm. I just got an ec meter but my last reading said closer to 600 so idk what happened there. I flushed until I had runoff ppm of about 150. Now they're back in the grow tent. I don't want to keep assaulting them with my microscope. I think they're ready. Just gonna let them settle another day or two to dry out a bit. I took one small branch off the small Wedding Cake plant on Thursday and I've just been watching it dry on my counter. It's been 5 days and the stem snaps but still leaves a fiber connecting. I put it into a small jar with a 64RH thing. I just want to try it. It already smells amazing. The leaves on the big CBD Blue Shark plant are going really yellow and some other colours are starting to come out as well. The buds all fattened up and got more frosty again. I was worried they were foxtailing but they got more calyxes underneath the peaks and have been making more of a pyramid shape. They're really close to peak. Harvest day will be March 17 or 18. March 17 1023pm chopped and hung after lights off all day. RH was 65% before I chopped and 50% after I closed the window and cut the plants off the saturated pots. I did a wet trim to prevent mold. The buds are sticky af. Gonna hang them to dry for 7-9 days before curing in jars :) March 18 : checked the RH when I woke up and it's chilling at 45% šŸ˜Ž March 19 : just checked to see how they were drying. There are seeds in every plant. RIP I'll update when I put them in jars and again a few weeks later for final review. Overall it was a good grow despite the rocky start and a good introduction to the mainline technique and my new grow space. Next grow I should have everything pretty well dialed in. March 23 They were hanging for 3 days. Rh was around 45, then spiked to 65 overnight when I forgot to turn the fans back on. Temp was high at around 26.they felt wet after 2 days, and bone dry after 4 days. The stems still didn't snap but I put them in jars anyway. A day later, jar RH was 50%. I burped all the jars and there was a smell from the new jars. I took all the weed out, washed out the jars, and did a dry trim on the weed. One of the Wedding Cake plants must have gone hermie. I didn't see any bananas and didn't even realize there were seeds until the very end. The seed pods looked just like calyxes while the plants were growing. Many of the nugs are unusable. Under the sugar leaves are just layers and layers of seeds. Some weren't hit that badly. The CBD Blue Shark is much better off but still has some seeds. I'm trying to stay positive. It's a bit of a shock though. I'm anxious to try the finished product. If the flowers at least taste good and have a good effect, all is not lost.

Hey Guys! We are back at it again and wow thing's starting to pick up. I must be lucky with this bean's i guess, everything runs smooth and all the 4 girls just living a good life right now. Dinafem Diesel: flowers well under high RH. I have high expectations from this pheno, fingers crossed it packs a good punch and flavor. Overall really fun to grow. Seedsman c99 x Blueberry (fast): Preform really well in humid conditions both veg and flower (like most Thai i've grown). The smell is there from the start due to the terps in the juice is really strong smelling of "rotten dank meat" both in veg and in flower, but the trichomes on the flower smells like sour fruity candy right now in week 4 and it's really pleasant to keep smelling. Must say it's kinda addicting. Cali Connection Girl scout cookies: The size of this plant is quite good for indoor, as it didn't stretch much in flower. A faint smell of mint and cookies from the flower not too strong yet. I will try grow out this pheno under better conditions more suited for "Kushy strains". Greenhouse seeds Super lemon haze: Ok i need to say this first. Scrog or topping or even mainlaning is a must to grow this one. It grows big and have massive branch production and cannot support its own weight 9 seeds out of 10 (or maybe only me, idk). it preforms well under slightly higher RH then normal but i would not go over 50 % week 4. I started to feed Booster and Calcium just to get the plants to fatten up a bit. i will dry out the pot then start the Blumat system after a few day's in hope that plants will drink and explode in flower production. I might edit in new pics of a random plant over the week. Lets call them Bonus Pic's just to keep thing's fresh. Don't forget to leave a LikešŸ˜„ Until next time Cheers!

New week, new growth.. Will hopefully start the LST and Topping in a few days. They are really starting to grow. Fan leaves looking healthy and big. Girls coming with vigorous growth now, everything dialled in and happy. Just adjusting the EC/pH as needed when the girls show me the relevant signs/deficiencies if any. D31/D35- Decided they were in a good enough place to start topping the girls, all 6 topped and just some defoliation of the bigger fan leaves that are shading the growth shoots some HST was also done. We were also due a water change, so I cleaned the whole system just to keep things extra cleanly, very important in a RDWC system. I also switched over to a sterile system instead of using beneficial bacteria so I will experiment and see how this goes. Time to let the girls ecover before the next training session. Cruise control for now.

Week 14 - August 13 Back from holidays. One week without carrying plants. All is Ok āœ… the Blumat irrigation system worked perfectly, Aphids are totally eradicated: the Garlic mixture is a miracle. šŸ›I found 5 caterpillars on 2 plants: it makes lot of damage on a Bubble Gum I didn’t mention in the diary, but the other are safely. caterpillars are the Enemy N°1 at this point: must check everyday. Presence of leafminer flies but nothing important. -Royal Moby, seriously injured by sunburn and aphids aggression: recovering good, amazing stretch (sativa dominant) 140cm high , new branches are healthy. Flowering stage not engaged. -GMOxZombie Kush, was pretty shocked by aphids and sunburn too but problems are resolved: the plant is not too bad, starting a pre flowering period. 115cm -Flash Back #2 start flowering. Perfectly healthy, no pests, diseases or deficiency. Gook stretch last weeks, lot of ramifications and booming sites.130cm -Brake Pad Breath is the most advanced with a flowering stage engaged since 2 weeks. Good week, no issues popping up. Just watered when needed. WCC she is packing on weight, with buds stacked on buds and smells amazing. C4 Very strong girl, nothing has fazed her from the beginning. Beautiful purple plant and the smell is floral. And packing some nice looking buds. Gelato Pretty much the same as C4, very strong, looking amazing and the smell is delicious. Bud sites aplenty. SBP Small bud sites are developing with a few white hairs. More just growing her on as a little experiment really she how she turns out. Not expecting much, but we'll see

10/22 Week 8 has arrived Day 52 Gave nuet heavy feeding for the last big push as they have to be out of the tent around the 31st. So... Bio-Bloom 15ml - Bio-Grow 5ml - Big Bloom 15ml - CalMag 5ml - Recharge 0.25 tsp - Fish Sh!t 0.5 tsp / Gal @ 6.4 ph 0.5 gal each with a bit more for the big girls. New Pics uploaded Update: FYI I do not use the entire nuet list, if I use it at all at any time its there, feedings are detailed in the comments. Thanks :) 10/25 Day 55 Water and Karo Syrup 1tbs /gal (sugar for the bugs) is the way of it from here on, 0.5 gal at 6.4ph each Tricones say they can be harvested at any time now but the drying tent wont be ready for another week so letting them enjoy the lights and bulk up as of course still getting new hairs. Just finished a close examination of the buds, this is without a doubt the cleanest smelling and strongest terpines of any LSD-25 we have grown. There is no harshness to it at all. Now it will make your nose run and give an odd high if you keep your head in the tent too long but that's a good thing šŸ˜‡ I am convinced this is due to the organics as even those I grown with mixed organic/mineral fertilizers smelled bad.

Explosive bud development the past week. These girls are gonna be STACKED! I wish every plant I ever grew could grow like these! Absolutely beautiful look to these ladies! One plant is further along than the rest, but probably still a couple weeks from harvest. I truly see these plants going 110 plus days from seed. Im still on the same watering regimen. Feeding every water, but definitely done with any and all nitro for this grow. Feeding general hydro micro and bloom, at full strength, and feeding them big bud by advanced at 5ml per gal. Also, giving them a full dose of recharge every 7 days. They love it! I don't have a single burnt or rust colored leaf on the entire grow. Thats impressive under an HPS on 1000 watts! Love love love these plants and everything about them! The plant that is a couple weeks ahead of the others (planted the same day), the buds are absolutely rock hard! Gonna be some dense, sticky, resinous, absolutely killer medicine!

8/3 I didnt take any pics today. I had an emergency this morning. I will upload pictures tomorrow. I have noticed some slight deficiencies. I decided to up my feed to two gallons twice a week. I'll see how that goes. Heat stressed slurricane is recovering nicely. I need to do a spray if spinosad at some point. One plant has large holes I assume from hoppers or ear wigs. 8/4 We had a tropical storm warning all day yesterday. Things were fine. However it is supposed to be much worse today with that Isiah hurricane coming up the coast. We should miss most of it. I watered as we arent expecting much rain. I'm considering putting tarps around the entire structure before night to block the wind and stake the fence SECURELY in place. I'll play it by ear. 8/5 Waaaawho! Trop storm warning canceled. Plants are in perfect shape. Not a broken branch to be seen. PH is at 6.3 which is much better. 8/6 I did slight LST on one mendo breath. I'm amazed by this garden everyday. Soil PH is down to 6.3 for most plants. I upped my feeding schedule. I fed today. This time I mixed 3 gallons and added beastie bloom to one of the containers. I split that between the two flowering mendo breaths and used the others to feed the rest. I'm hoping my new feeding schedule wont back fire one me. I killed a worm this morning. Despite plants looking good I think it's going to he do for another application of spinosad. I have work to do cleaning the inside of the plants and more LST. This shit certainly is not for the lazy man. Happy growing everyone. Plants were dry in the PM so I watered. 8/7 Plants look great. The two ten gallons look a little over watered but that's fine. It's still real early on the morning anyway. Planning on applying spinosad tonight. Mendo is really going into flower. At least the 2 phenoms that looked the same are flowering. The reveg monster crop is further behind but hey we still have over 14h of light. Applied spinosad to one plant. 8/8 I watered this morning only to have a strange thunder storm drop a whole bunch more water. Oh well. I plan to spray tonight. Broke a small bottom branch. I made it into cuttings. Too burnt too do this right now. 8/9 Its hard to check PH but it seems my PH is around 7.2 for the most part. I've been procrastinating and need to clean out these plants, feed and spray. I'm planning on going back tonight and doining one or all of those. I'll add some pics. PM FED with the above schedule minus micro brew and 1tsp tb. Approximately 3 1/2 gallons. Plan to spray tomm.
