Three weeks into flower and things are moving along. I defoliated some of the lower branches and spread out a few branches here and there. Other than that it's the same situation as always. Nutrients are pumping and lights are beaming. Everything is running smooth and all is well with the world. Like some namaste shit going on around here at the moment. Update week 5

This was another hot, hot week with a big rainstorm. Take a look at the measuring cup, it is full of rainwater. Zamnesia Mango Kush continues to smell and is very sticky. It is tall and with packed buds It should be ready to take down in a couple of weeks. Half way through this grow, I had to stop using Miracle Grow and change my grow plan. I decide to use Advance Nutrients Jungle Juice for the rest of the grow. Jungle Juice’s selling point is that it is the only nutrient that I should need during the entire grow. One just need to make the solution stronger as the plant matures. The directions say to “stir vigorously” and that is true. It is very clumpy and I had to stir and shake the bottle a lot. As your plant is in veg and growing larger, directions say to up your Jungle Juice to 4 ml per liter. If my calculations are correct, I am using approx. 5 tablespoons per 5 gallon bucket. 1 gal is 3.78 liters 5 gallons=18.92 liters 4ml jungle juice per liter x 18.92 liters= 75.7 ml which is = to 5.119 tablespoons per 5 gallon bucket of water As the end of the summer is quickly approaching, I have spent some time reflecting this week on all of the contests that I have entered and not won this summer. It can be a little frustrating because of all the time I have spent taking pictures and writing commentary. But, instead of it getting me down, I have to think about all of the positive take aways and I want to share them on this platform. I have read a lot of diaries and now know why I am just an apprentice. I have a lot to learn from all of you. There are some really good growers with a lot of experience and crazy grow techniques. So much knowledge is on this platform-it’s mind boggling. To be a great grower, you must be willing to be vulnerable and put yourself out there and try different suggestions and new techniques. I have made a few friend that I enjoy chatting with. I enjoy reading comments versus just seeing likes. My best friend on grow diaries is @Natrona and my neighbor as well. She has been growing longer than I have been so I routinely learn from her. This summer I learned to mix 1 cup of Perlite into my soil. I can see where my plants need the air flow. And, I now I only defoliate fan leaves that absolutely need to be gone. I let the fan leaves stay on until they fall off. I want my buds to pull all the nutrients they can out of the fan leaves. I also bought 2 new tools that @natrona suggested. The first was a water PH tester and the second was my Max-ee Magnifier which is informative and fun to use. Week 3 wedding cake s Watered two of the more mature ones on Monday total soak 100% nutrient Accidentally knocked over the runt then 🐕 dog stepped on it. Replanet in smaller cup to try to control substrate moisture. Tuesday reduce light to plant distance, increase tent air flow to reduce humidity. The runt made it. Water runt with 10 cc's of aerated tap water. Wednesday Prep general hydroponics cocotek Coco brick 3 1 gallon pots, designate plants with a name so I know which ones are which. Thursday transplant to fiber pot extend darkness by an additional 10 hours for root growth. Friday water sundance 2 cups tap water

I still believe that Banana Kush #2 and Zkittlez are stunted, I wanted to remove those two but i think i will just let them grow out for the experience. I'm really banking on Banana Kush #1 to bring home the bacon.

Growing report: The growth through veg stage was amazing couldn’t fault the plant or the feed BUT then flower stage is where these genetics goes all wrong! So two weeks into flower I see one plant had Hermied, so gave this one the axe, and then spoke to acouple of other growers that have the same strain Had the same problem So it’s now named (hermie pie) then in week 5 all plants Hermied. I managed to keep the seeds at bay mostly and slow down the process of them seeding until harvest on week 7/8 I got signs of bud rot but dealt with that quick enough it didn’t damage the rest of the the harvest. Once harvested they got a light trimming then hung up for 5/6days at temperatures 20/28 and humidity 45/60. Used Trimbag for the rest of the trimming process, got 6oz off 3plants 😬 curing for 2weeks in one ounce Jars 75% full. Bud report: Smell; is sweet and tangy Taste; sweet spicy taste Density of buds out of 10; 8. Some seeds found in buds😞 Thank you all for watching another stressful but fun and learning harvest.

Not even sure if they’re actually in week 10 haven’t really been taking too many pictures. Really loving the gorilla cookies and how big they are vs the apricot auto in the closer left corner. All other 3 are gorilla cookies autos. Just started feeding just distilled water for now and flush them to get for hatbest

📆 Semana 10 La fase final avanza con cogollos muy densos y bien formados, terminando de afinar su compactación y carga de resina. Los tricomas se mantienen mayoritariamente lechosos, con un aumento progresivo de ámbar que indica que se acerca el punto óptimo de corte. El aroma gana intensidad y profundidad, definiendo claramente su perfil final. La planta reduce su actividad y se centra en la maduración, mostrando un ligero consumo de reservas en hojas grandes. Cultivo estable y bien afinado, con todo encaminado hacia un final de ciclo en óptimas condiciones. Seguimos creciendo fuerte 💪!

Man this week has been taking forever, my theory is it will only get slower relative to harvest just because my excitement. I top dressed with about 2 inches of worm castings with an eyeballed mix of 2tbps of bone meal (3-14-0, bloom fert.), 1.5-2tbps of Gaia green all purp.(4-4-4, I don’t have an actual potassium fert. Like leingbenite So I use this), 3tbps of dr earth kelp meal (1-.05-2 has many different vitamins, amino acids, carbohydrates) and 2tbps of mykos (for microbiology inoculation and nutrient uptake/upkeep). So I every time I water I have this old 2gallon water tin that I usually fill up about a quarter to half way full. Using this amount of water and the 5 gallon bucket of my soil mix makes my watering schedule once every 3 days (on average). I do use bottle nutrients but it’s mainly for the supplementing. For feeding I use 2-3ml to half a gallon for all bottle nutrients, I have never gone over, and I have never had deficiency’s that can hinder plant development. Deficiency's: PSA: Now if anyone happens to read and actually look at my plants please do look closely and maybe let me know if you see something that I have missed since I’m still very new. I noticed my plant was having a cal mag issue so that’s why I top dressed with worm castings, I also top dressed with about 3tbps of azomite (I feel using azomite it may help with all those unnoticeable deficiency’s that a new grower might miss). I’ve been noticing on some of the leaves the very tips are showing discoloring, since the color is still so vibrant mostly I can rule out nitrogen, phosphorus, Iron, manganese, and sulphuric. It’s still very early stage so I did an extremely light foliage feeding (in the dark to prevent UV damage) of 2ml of big bud, big bloom, and tiger bloom, mixed into half a liter of water, I then emptied the spray bottle and sprayed with tap water just to make sure there’s no nute burning. Today I fed the plant through water amendments with 3ml of big bud, 3ml of bud candy, 3ml of big bloom, and 2ml of tiger bloom;(my theory is hopefully the nutrient deficiency’s will go away) My soil mix is pretty basic. 40% coco, 10% perlite, 10% well composted chicken manure, 20% black gold compost, 20% worm castings. I’m not going to put the fertilizer amendment percentage to be honest I eye ball it but there’s a rough general measurements that I do.

I'm disappointed with myself but the genetics are really excellent

For week 2 I did couple of changes: Water change in order to add TPS Silica Lower the light to 16 inches / 30% light / I’m getting a PPFD of 300/400 Both genetics are wronging super fast, the only thing is the COCO FRESH when there is no light the leafs kind of go down, once they get light they go back up again, wondering is that’s how they are or if there is a problem, I will ask around here, if anyone knows why I will appreciate all the info. This week I should be able to switch the light from the G8600W to the G1000W, I’m moving the 8600 to a 4x4 with another genetic. I will also get the T7 AC humidifier and I will change also the in line fan to AC, I want to control everything with my phone (AC infinity app)

Dopo una bella pulizia della base della pianta adesso sto innafiando anche usando la linea fert di advanced nutrient ph perfect, sembra fare il suo effetto, non la uso tutti i giorni, ancora solo 2 volte in 1 settimana, questa settimana farò 3 volte, e vediamo come risponde la pianta. PS: uso la ½ della dosi scritte da manuale.
