Day 70-77 (Day 71) Not exactly sure why but node spacing on bbb 6&7 is super tight still. Their stems are also harder and less bendy, almost like they’re root bound. Bbb #5 in my veg tent is looking bizarre and I’m at a loss for what to do. I’ve been looking up and asking around about the leaf crinkle and no one seems to know what’s wrong. Trashing a pheno of this would hurt. It could be a keeper too as I don’t think the problem is genetic. It’s definitely root bound but that doesn’t cause contorted new growth like that. I’ve concluded that it’s my dense soil coupled with root bound issues, overwatering and high RH. (Day 72) Later tonight I’m going to give bbb 5 a bath tub flush until it’s reading 200ppms, drain it well and then transplant into a 3g pot with lightly amended soil. I’m also going to give it a light defoliation. I don’t mind stressing the shit out of this plant right now because I won’t be flipping for another week at least. With the small container it will run out of amended nutes mid flower so I will hit it with a few synthetic feedings around then to test out the smokabilty and taste compared to organic nutrients. I might as well give the rest a good defoliation on the rest of the plants too. I will try to get most of what is under the trellis. (Day 73) I definitely defoliated #7 waaay too much. Since it’s tucked away in the corner and a really bushy plant I can’t train it as well as the others. I cut most of the sucker branches and the majority of the lower fans. This should prevent the need to defoliate at all until week 3 of flower. (Day 74) I’ve been reading that higher temperatures with a high RH can affect growth big time. It could be what’s causing all the crinkling and twisting. And now that the plants are in very late veg they could probably benefit from a lower RH. When I was running my temps around 74-78F and 70% RH I was in the perfect range. Now that I’m around 82-86F with the same 70% RH that could be what’s causing it. Hotter air holds more moisture than cooler air and proper vpd at 84F is around 75-80%. I’m going to turn up the speed on my carbon filter and set my controller to 75%. If I don’t see a difference or it gets worse I will drop to 65 and go from there. (Day 76) I finally got the lights raised up another 4 inches or so. It’s not much but it should help reduce the intensity and stretch the nodes more. I’m starting to think the super tight node spacing and droopy/contorted growth has more to do with something I’ve been reading about called ‘soil compaction’. Apparently farmers often deal with compacted soil in fields from running tractors over it all day. When I potted the plants I gave them a good little jiggle to compact the soil down further so I could fit a bit more in the container. I think this could be the culprit as they don’t seem to be drying out evenly. Even the plants in my other room are not drying out like they should and it’s probably from compacting too. With the addition of rock dust and dry amendments the soil can become sandy/clay like and retain a lot more moisture. Wish I would have added a few more liters of perlite and packed the soil a bit looser. Either way I need to get this problem sorted ASAP before I get root rot. Earlier in the season when I overwatered, I stuck a fish tank air pump into the soil and it aerated the soil enough to prevent overwatering. The only reason I discontinued it is because it didn’t have much effect in the 1.7g pots. I just ordered a 36w 6 way fish tank pump that is way more powerful. It was 50 bucks and I’m willing to take a gamble on it. It seems to be my only option at the moment because I can’t just repot. Worst case scenario I can use it for brewing compost teas if it doesn’t work. I’m not sure how well this will work in a giant fabric pot but it’s worth a shot. I’ve heard of people supplementing additional air into raised garden beds with great results. I’m picking off some of the new auxiliary branches to try and widen the node spacing. Growth is definitely slow and stunted but no signs of deficiencies. I just thought of another theory on the node spacing... and the more I think about it, the more I think it’s the mystery problem. I’ve been foliar spraying with 1-1-1 VeloKelp at pretty high concentrations 2-3 times per week. I have heard in passing that kelp and seaweed can somehow reduce stretch. A quick google search reveals that Ascophyllum Nodosum Seaweed and other marine algae extracts contain large amounts of hormones and auxins that reduce plant height and stretch. *facepalm* Guess I’ll stop that for the rest of the cycle. As far as I know there is nothing I can really do but wait for the plant to use up all those excess hormones and nutes. The recent 0-0-15 seaweed extract and 1-0-3 kelp meal I bought is derived from the same kind as the velokelp. I guess I won’t use it again until week 3 or 4 in flower. Tight nodes are very useful in flower but aren’t desirable at all in when trying to scrog in veg. Especially when they’re like a half inch apart. It slows the shit out of a grow. Vietnamese and biker gangs in my area used to grow SOG style and use a synthetic PGR hormone (meant for bonsai trees) called ‘paclobutrazol’ that would make the weed rock hard dense so they wouldn’t have to pay people as much to trim it. I’ve heard that in recent years they have made the switch to using kelp extracts because paclo is getting harder find and is not meant for food crops let alone smokeable crops. I’m ashamed of it but I have smoked pounds of PGR weed long before I knew what a PGR was. 🤷‍♂️ (Day 77) One more theory. Ever since raising up the plants up onto that shelf the root zone is probably significantly warmer and the bottom of the pot (where most of the roots are) drys out way quicker. It’s possible that the warmer root zone could not be holding dissolved oxygen at the proper rate resulting in that over/underwatered look. Or it could be that I’m not watering enough at once to reach the bottom of the pot where the roots are and it’s indeed under watered. I’m going to water in a gallon when I get my new air pump and see if that makes any positive change. If I see the new air pump making a difference, I will flip on the 21st of April. If I don’t see a difference, I will carefully untangle the plants from the scrog net and remove the shelf. That extra foot should make a massive difference with ppfd and will cool down the roots significantly too. I’m thinking about grabbing a simple soil/compost thermometer to check the temp of the medium. Better safe than sorry. Rough week. Hopefully everything get smoothed out in the next little while before I flip.

Girls feel fine

Se perciben bastante mejor los aromas de las floración. Seguimos aumentamos la cantidad de agua, progresivamente, según van pidiendo/necesitando las plantas. Se están amarilleando parte de las hojas inferiores 🍁 Si no me fallan los cálculos, se debe a la falta de nitrógeno pero no le añadiré porque ya debe está en las últimas semanas 🤞😅 Sigo intentando no utilizar ningún tipo de "ayuda extra", salvo la tierra enriquecida de BioBizz All-Mix donde están plantadas. Seguimos con el agua mineral, luz solar, mucha paciencia y mucho amor!🤞😍 Aunque para controlar la aparición de pequeñas orugas he añadido: 20g de tierra de diatomea (Diatical de TRABE), directamente sobre el sustrato (1-2 veces/mes y se puede aplicar en cualquier momento del cultivo). 50ml de Super Kukulus (fitofortificante ecológico)/1 litro de agua para riego foliar, tanto en el anverso como en el reverso de las hojas (2-3 veces/sem y se puede aplicar en cualquier momento del cultivo has 2 días antes de la cosecha)... Y lo mejor es que FUNCIONA! 💪😅

In der sechsten Blütewoche haben sich die Blüten weiter verdichtet und an Größe zugenommen. Die Pflanze profitiert sichtbar von der erhöhten Lichtintensität und den zusätzlichen Netzen, die für Stabilität sorgen. Das Scrogging hat sich als äußerst effektiv erwiesen, da alle Blüten gleichmäßig Lichlt erhalten und sich prächtig entwickeln. Die Pflanze wirkt insgesamt sehr vital, und die Blütenstände zeigen eine schöne Harzbildung, was auf eine erfolgreiche Ernte hoffen lässt.

Finally starting to see signs of flowering. I am gonna add a red light and a 2nd scrog net and I should get it next week. I ordered it for the blooming gonna see if it makes a difference. To decide if I want for future grows..

18.12.2025 It won't last any longer for harvesting. She is covered by many trichomes and the main amount is milky already. I'm checking on her every day now and I think she'll be ready very soon. Her pollinized bud is looking really funny, like creating a second bud out of the first. Really unique to me. So, still in progress but not for too long! Looking forward 🌸

These plants were great. I messed things up a bit but they still turned out a half decent yield. The taste and smell of the final product are great. I am growing one of these plants in my greenhouse and I can’t wait to see what it produces as I don’t have the small space to confine the plant. I love Humboldt genetics and can’t wait to grow more.

Neither have needed any feeds with the soil providing plenty of nutrition at this stage. 100% sativa's or in this case haze are fairly low maintenence when it comes to feeding . chuck in some manure or something ( I am using guano ) and they will happily grow along nicely . Did you know that Connoisseur genetics are looking for new testers for their newest strains?? to be considered you just need to have had a few diaries with harvests Thanks once again for stopping by 👍 *****Major Update 10th March ***** Plant two developed ball sacks along with her pistils so unfortunately I had to pull her out and destroy the plant. I know some people might think I could have tried removing the sacs and giving the plant a chance . But I am trying to make myself some F1 hybrids and do not want any Hermies anywhere near my females . Now because this strain has Thai genetics there is always that chance they throw "nanners" but usually later in flower so for this one to show itself right on the start of flowering is enough for me to pull it , burn it with fire . Or in this case I'm gonna let the sun solarise it and then it'll be mulched with other plant materials from my garden.

ok so i started shifting the plant outdoors from sunrise to sunset one of the plants started getting heat stroke and borders of the first pair of leaves got yellow although all three plants were under the same conditions i started watering it more now it is showing success too. when indoors all3 plants are undel cfl light. i am going to transplant them next week and start adding nutrients in this week will also add a little bit of potting mix soil inwitht he peat moss and perlite when transplanting. also will use 35% dose of nutrients NPK only atm with nitrogen higher in liquid form. going to start rcvng more seeds in 15 days and my target is of 40 plants. working on getting the infrastructure made outdoor of glass roof and steel frame so that i dont have to move the plants and they can be lit in the structure after sunset

The plant is a joy to grow smell is incredible with a very dense buds all white snow trichome coated . They seem to have like a week or more to go but I'm goin to chop all the plans in my garden at the same time so 1 and 1/2 Weeks to harvest. 79 days!!!!! and the harvest is already harvested :) The whole growth until week 6 went very well, then the girl got a little worse, (I think it's my mistake, which I described in previous weeks), but besides all that she managed to ripen perfectly, matured stiff flowers, full of shiny sticky trichomes with a very, very sweet aroma ;) 210 gr of wet buds, I also collected a lot of sugar leaves from which I will make bubble hash :) I can't wait to taste it :) this is my first trip with Sweetseeds Looking at the flowers I understand that I will definitely repeat it :) I will leave more feedback after the smoke review:) good luck to everyone.

Mimosa cake is growing beautifully, the next week I’ll feed her up and hopefully she’ll take off .

*****Week 17 growth – March 27 to Apr 2, 2021 – Week 8 flower ****** We are in the first full week of flush now. Color change time and more swelling😃👍 GDP x GSC should have some purple in her......there certainly is in both. I have missed CL1 though, due to my actions. Pushing the nutes and lights is showing signs this week and both are fox tailing now. CL2 is holding it together though better than CL1........she said F you and shot her tips way up. Tails coming up the side of the bud as well, not excessive but they are prominent. They feel dense, yeah I squished a couple😏, so they should still have a good finish. CL2 is the looker right now and will have more dense buds I suspect but CL1 is showing that she can make some chunky LARGE buds if given what she wants.......without excess🙂 Frost levels on both girls is very high and looking sparkly😎 Aromas have been coming out more now and I pick up sweet and kind of floral......F I don’t know fully on these ones right now but it’s freaking good......smells like good weed!!! Running these both again I think. I was going to let CL1 go but color isn’t everything....CL1 should have fatter buds and I think she deserves another chance👍 CL2 is a given she will be run another time as well🔥❄️ 🔥❄️🔥❄️🔥 The girls are drinking well with being watered almost everyday. Moving into the phase of letting the pots dry right out before adding more water to ensure they are finishing all the nutrients in the media. Again, really just keeping them watered when they want it and taking pictures at this point😎 Little more detail….. Mar 27/21, Day 50 - 4L plain water at 6.0pH - Mar 28/21, Day 51 - 4L watering today with RO water. - 30ppm and 6.1pH Mar 29/21, Day 52 - cold in the tent today so turned the heater back on to brin up to 77 degrees. It was holding at 74, a little low. - nothing watered. Mar 30/21, Day 53 - 4L watering with tap water at 5.8pH - Mar 31/21, Day 54 - watered late in the day with only 3L of RO water - 25ppm and 6.1 pH Apr 1/21, Day 55 - dry out day Apr 2/21, Day 56 - light power reduced again and down to 300 watts. - plain water with tap. - 3L each 280ppm and 6.1pH Through week 8 and going into 9 now. Still some nutrient to keep working on in the leaves......give them a little more time💪

12/25/2023-Germination Day 1 Merry X-mas 2023 I decided to start a run of SolFIre Gardens Hoodz Candyz S1. I am going to do a cup filled with RO water a touch of Hydrogen peroxide and let it sit for 24-48 hours until I see tap root then I am going to put it into a rapid rooter.. Tap root Down and put it about 1/4 of the say down the Rapid rooter. I made some modifications to my basket on this run.. I have taken a few Pods that I use for my cloning machine and decided that I am going to try and use them as sure plants, so that I can take my water right up to the bottom of the basket this time and see if these can make my planting more consistent.   12/26/2023-Germination Day 2 Tap root achieved Planting Commencing 12/27/2023-Germination Day 3 Misted the dome lightly misted the rapid rooter and added a little water to the bottom of the pan to encourage root growth to the pan. 12/28/2023-Germination Day 4 Ground Hogs day 12/29/2023- Germination Day 5 She is up, she has broken surface, I misted the root riot, and around the bottom of the tray to try and entice root growth down rapidly. 12/31/2023- Germination Day 6 Ground Hogs Day 1/1/2024-Germination Day 7 HAPPY NEW YEARS!!.. I did it I planned it out so my planting day would fall on New Years and it worked.. Yay!!! 1/2/2024- Germination Day 8 Since the roots are not to the water yet, I am pouring one cup of water lightly on the hydroton around the lady to try and encourage root growth down to the water.. 1/3/2024- Germination Day 9 Ground Hogs day, will continue until roots hit the water. 1/4/2024- Germination Day 10 Ground Hogs day, will continue until roots hit the water. Was away for 4 days didn’t get as much attention as usual still growing very well doing her own thing

Day 28 flower, things are doing well, humidity and heat are stable, plucking off leafs as I go along now anything blocking bud sites. I'm on week 7 of the biobizz feed schedule full dose, these girls not showing any nute burn or stress so far either I could probably push them more. Day 33 from flip. Heat and humidity are under control. Sitting at 27°c and 40-47% humidity with lights on. And 20°c and 47% humidity lights off. Ph levels on feeds and watering is 6.5, there really loving the biobizz range and the marshydro tsl2000 combo. So today the plants are getting fatter and nice and dense. Its super sticky and stacking on trichomes. These 3 beans came from The same pack, and each one smells diffrent. Closest pheno is a really lemon citrus smell and its strong. Middle pheno is like a sherberty smell and really tickles the 👃. Pheno 3 at the back is like a lemon skunk, really pungent and its got the fattest buds so far too. Day 34 flower, Feeding molasses today in 6.5ph water, I will start the next week tomorrow and will be starting on week 8 of the bio bizz nutes schedule. Thanks for all your support so far.
