Finally at the end of another grow, unfortunately it's the worst grow I've done!!! My heart just wasn't in this grow! It started out well until the flowering stage. Which was right around Christmas, super busy with other things, not maintaining them every day. Leaving them days at a time 4 to5 days before checking ph & ec! So they were constantly rising to high levels, went away a few days & had a watering line come loose flooding the tent & draining the reservoir so they had no water or nutrients for days. Pure laziness!

D57/FD29 - Thing going grand with the Cookies so far (enjoying growing these Cookie Based Strains). Smell from it is divine! Touch a stem and its a lovely citrus smell left on you for ages! Noted in a previous comment, like a perfect sweetness, fresh lemonade. You'd wear it as an aftershave alright even!!! :P They're drinking a ton but not taking on as much feed (as I've come to expect now in flower) so dropped the base and bloom by 10% (same recommended ratio of 1:1) and kept the PK9/18 booster in there at what would be recommended strength for this week...its the same as last week but week 1 (week 4 of flower) of PK9/18 should have been double...didn't want to overdo it as when I used recommended strength 1st time I got it, it created some serious root zone acidification (Which could have been all the K getting used up but was a mare getting the pH up from 4.something every day!!!). Did my usual root flush/wash before adding feed as the EC had crept up to 2.2 (and I know from experience, that starts messing with your numbers if you don't wash that out right) and took about 50L-60L to get the tank to 0.3EC (base is 0.2) was was a lot of salt sitting on/in the roots. Had a ton of underscreen dead leaf to pick up and just cut some wee straggly offshoots (I know, bad idea this late in flower but they were basically dead/no nutritional value left so basically a bug magnet). Still waiting on Bluelab to send me the RMA approved pH pen...been 2 weeks now since the RMA was approved and still no postage - using an "essentials" pH meter and just dipping in Calibration Fluids between each feed add to ensure some accuracy (As you can see from my recipe page, I like to know what the feed does to the pH - also gives an idea on what they're feeding on when you see pH swings in a different direction that expected). Geeklight also got back to me. In all fairness, I've been dealing with them direct (Got the light fixture from Alibaba, direct from China - big gamble, right???) and they have been more than helpful. I have been telling them about the light randomly coming on at 5% (lowest brightness) and provided evidence; turns out someone else now noticed the same issue with the Remote App controlled variant too and they believed it was a loose control board/wire. They said they did some stuff and that fixed it but I also thought mine was fixed by forcing the dimmer to 0% and it still randomly happened (even though it didn't do it for weeks) so the other person may still get a surprise!! 😋 So, I took out the driver today, pulled out the control board and all wires seemed good and no looseness in the control board (although it does look slightly bent as the Spade for the IR/UV switch isn't fully bedded in). But, like I say, in all fairness to Geeklight, they're posing me a new control board tomorrow from China AND giving me the longer driver cables so as I can put the driver outside of the tent! Give me a bit more room for my Flower Initiator (and hopefully UVB Tube) and great to see them honouring the Warranty. RHC Seems to be flowering nicely as can been seen from the pics. Stacking well, buds coming along. Slight pinkish tip to the pistils on some buds but not the shocking pink as you'd see in the sales pics...hopefully it goes there though! Also noticing a bit of an early frost on a few flowers...like real good frost! And this is only day 1 of week 5 (I know, I do this diary arse about face)!!! Hoping Geeklight get this driver control board and longer cables to me quick so as I can get the driver out of the tent as I'd really like to get the UVB in there to frost them up in a week or 2!!! May only be getting about 9" clearance though so dunno, could be dangerous!!! 12" is the lowest recommended...but then, I could do the 15 min burst lighting (On 15, off 45 min every hour) so lower the risk of burn but get them more exposure (but lowers the lifetime of the tube). They get UVA from the LED's on the light at the moment for a 1/3 of the day and have been since early veg so should be hardened to it by now!!! Anyway, think that's enough s**te chatted by me!!! Aug 16: Mimosa Shot is progressing but it has been cool and rainy lately. There are indications of P deficiency because of the cool weather. The top dressing of malted barley and Power Bloom will do its thing so I’m not worried about it. Hoping for more direct sunlight though. Aug 18: video shows use of far red light at dusk. To keep on a natural schedule, I use Civil Twilight as listed on timeanddate.com for my location. At this time of year it is getting earlier by 2-3 minutes every night. The far red 730 nm light puts the plant into dark mode two hours faster and is like getting a 26 h day. It works and is a good trick if you have daily access to your plants.

I have loved this grow and for my 1st scog run I have learnt alot to imply to my next run!, so keep an eye out for my next organic scrog, using marshydro equipment and zamnesia seeds 😀 thanks for all your support and likes and I look forward to giving you another diary soon 💚👌👊 happy growing. She has stretched quite s bit, really wonderful leafs and she's developing her flowrs little by little, let's see how this performs, I expect the best from gea seeds genetics.

So this week i harvested the orangesherbert so sticky and stinks of orange, 50grams dry of 🔥 bud. Curing in a big jar at 21 degrees and humidity of 60% dark cool cupboard. Watermelon zkitles is bouncing back, the runts is doing amazing with the lst and leaf tucking. I had to kill the purplelemonade due to it herming on me I dont have space for that so I'm going to run a ethos genetics seed in its place.

Well, as it's been 8 full weeks now it's time to change to flora, today the 24th of July 2023 I'm changing the time from vega to flora so they will take 12 hours of light and 12 hours of darkness thus starting the flowering phase, today I should have watered with top bloom from top crop but it ended up that I watered only with water and I'll wait for the next watering I'll already water with top bloom from top crop and let's see what these beautiful girls do, I was going to leave another time in vega another two weeks apparently i'm going to move so i don't know if i'm going to have much time left in this house so i'm going to take advantage of the time i have and already putting them to bloom

Tag 45: Leider hat eine Pflanzen braune Flecken bekommen. Vielleicht weil ich den Ph wert einmal bei 6,2 hatte? Der anderen Pflanze hat es nicht geschadet. Die schlimmsten Blätter hab ich heute mal entfernt, jedoch scheint sich das ganze noch weiter auszubreiten. Zum Glück ist es nicht mehr lange bis zur Ernte. Diese sollte spätestens in 4 Wochen sein laut RQ.

I started Flushing two plants as there nearing the end of there days. I'll start Flushing the others this week apart from the kalimist indica pheno as it started flowering 3 or so weeks after the others even though they were all forced together. (alkward bugger) Some of the plants are showing red /purple colours a little bit 👍

So I am harvesting sweet Bourbon Kush Autoflower. It grew really fast. It smells like a wooddy sweet Bourbon. Hence the name. 🤷. She grew great for me in coco/perlite in a 1.5 gallon Potter. She has a great smell, great frost. Looks delicious. I am super eager to try the results.
