Eternity Grow Cup - Week 11 VEG Report This is a pivotal week in our Eternity Grow Cup journey as we wrap up VEG and prepare to transition into FLOWER. Our goal has been to ensure that the plants are thriving and optimized for the next phase. This report will detail everything that took place during this crucial week. Mass Defoliation & Structural Training We began the week with an extensive defoliation session. Every leaf with a stem was removed to clear space for optimal light penetration and airflow. This process was done mostly by hand, clicking them off in the opposite direction of growth, while some stubborn ones were snipped with scissors. By the end, it felt like we had taken out nearly half a kilo of leaves! The room now looks clean, structured, and ready to fill out the ScroggNet. To further enhance the plant structure, branches were attached to the pots, allowing for better horizontal growth. This technique helps maximize canopy exposure and prepares the plants for even light distribution once flowering begins. Defoliation before flowering is a key step as it reduces overcrowding, improves airflow, and sets the plants up for efficient energy use in the next phase. Light Schedule & Adjustments This week, we introduced a subtle but effective light adjustment. While still maintaining an 18-hour light cycle, we initiated a 15-minute delay with the whites, allowing the reds to start first. This gradual shift signals the plants that a change is coming. Similarly, at the end of the light cycle, the whites turn off 15 minutes earlier, leaving the reds on for an extended period. This strategy mimics natural sunrise and sunset, helping the plants transition more smoothly into flowering. Additionally, at the end of the week, we will be implementing 48 hours of darkness before the official flip to flower. This method has worked exceptionally well in past grows, helping plants recognize the transition and encouraging a strong start to flowering. However, it's important to emphasize that this is a personal technique and not a universal rule. Every grower should experiment with different methods to find what works best for their specific environment. Environmental Conditions & Challenges Currently, our temperature is at 27°C with 60% humidity, resulting in a VPD of 1.50. While slightly higher than the ideal for VEG, our CO2 levels are over 1000 ppm, and the light intensity is at 570 PPFD, making it a manageable balance. The solution pH is 5.79 (essentially 5.8), EC is 1.38, and water temperature is 17.7°C. One challenge we are facing is maintaining optimal reservoir temperatures. Currently, it's a bit low at 17.7°C, and we are exploring solutions to raise it slightly. However, the medium temperature sits at 22.2°C, which is a good range. The humidifier is still in use, though it struggles to increase humidity further, so we are working with what we have to keep the VPD in check. ICL-300s Integration The ICL-300 lights are now fully active. Unlike the last grow, where we introduced them later, this time they are on from the start of flowering prep. This adjustment is an experiment to see if the plants respond better to an early introduction. Learning is at the core of this journey, and each grow offers new insights. Whether this proves to be the optimal strategy or not, it will be a valuable lesson for future grows. Finally we cut this plant 13 weeks plant, it isn't a 8 weeks plant this is my main complaint about it, the bank should change the information because most of the people select this strains because are "faster".

After 4 days of heavy rain, the first mold appeared... So I spent about 18 hours searching for plants and picking out mold with tweezers After last year's experience with another seed bank, I expected the plants to be very affected by mold, but I have to say that Fast Buds genetics coped very well! Mold appear mainly on blisters to which the stem of the leaf leads water, which then collects between the stem and the blister I trimmed the plants more so that the air flows better and that water does not stick to them The plants look healthy and the flowers are gaining strength Especially the dark purple phenotypes look very dense and hard. it also looks very resistant to mold Very pleasant sweet fruity scent I haven't seen my children for 3 days, it's raining extremely ... the last time I was chased out by swarms of ants in the early evening, I've never experienced this before, there were maybe a million of them and they sat on me and on the plants I'm finally going to visit them tomorrow, I expect I'll have a lot of work to do with mold and I hope the swarms of ants haven't harmed them in any way

Week 4 of Flowering I can’t even begin to tell you how beautiful this plant is. It’s small and got off to a slow start. But these flowers are simply a dream.?🥦🔝 The way that deep purple from the flower gradually spreads into the leaves… and that subtle yet lovely scent… simply delightful. 🤩The week started with relatively cool temperatures and humid conditions… but by the middle of the workweek, the weather became much more summer-like again, which certainly did the plants a world of good.☀️👌 Translated with DeepL.com (free version)

The end of the fourth week. Only 2,5 to 3 weeks to go, since this is the FAST version of Gelato 33 by Advanced seeds. Last week temps were better, so that was a lot better to manage. The smell is a different story. We are trying to combat it as we speak with a double filter which my friend still had from a previous grow. The ladies are performing, however, because this is a monstercrop with many budsites, none of them will be very big. We anticipate a lot of cutting come harvest time. The stickieness and smell (cookies, dough, herbs, spices, gingerbread, vanilla) promise a lot to make up for that hopefully!! The middle plant that seemed to go fastest, now looks like to have the hardest time flowering. Her more advanced stage of flowering as a bigger clone, made it harder for her to return to veg, which she never really did. This seems to make her want to rush to the finish, as she is already browning the pistils. Also these buds seem more flakey, popcorny. As if the many flowers and grapelike bundled growth was too much for her. I put the light a little closer, to help her fatten up in the time she is given. I never expected the two 'runts' to outperform the mighty middle clone, but hey seem to fatten up and age much more nicely. So for now, prelimenary tip: make sure all your plants are completely revegged before flowering and consider that faster flowering species might have some ruderalis ancestry that might siderail all your lighting intentions and remains in flower what ever the growers lighting schedule. So with at least two more weeks for the two outer plants, and well see how many for the middle one, we are going to make them as comfortable as possible the final push of this flowering. V23, riego pH 6.2 y EC 1.5, se realizó una pequeña defoliación y Lollipop, las plantas están mejor que nunca, creciendo al ritmo esperado y hojas apuntando hacia la luz, cómo "rezando al cielo" mostrando fotosíntesis al máximo, plantas felices. V24, se realizó LST a las ramas con buen crecimiento. He notado que son más difíciles de entrenar, son algo más duros los tallos, por lo que les hice un pequeño masaje antes de doblarlas para evitar que se rompan.

Everything's still going great. The buds are dense. Rock hard. The smell is nice. The father had a rare floral scent, her mother was fruity. She's fruity with a bit of floral. I was hoping for an indica-leaning plant, but she seems to be slightly sativa-leaning. The fruity smell would seem to confirm that she'll be a bit on the sativa side. Just starting to fluff up. So perhaps 10 or 12 days left.

Week 28 december - 3 January Happy new year

End of week 5, repoted this week, can't wait to see how they grow in these pots! I installed a heater and the temperatures are much better now. Only watering for now, was watering with just a little water before transplanting. The big pots I watered weekly with ~2L water and spraying the top layer every now and then to keep it moist. I gave a little more water today as they moisture probe was telling that it was still dry after 2L. So ended up watering each pot 4.5L of water with the plan of not watering for another 7 days. I think all this much is affecting how much water is flowing down (or my probe is broken :D ) We have an aloe vera plant which I am cutting leaves from and squeezing some gel out into the water. Hopefully they will get over whatever caused these drooping leaves quickly. They seem to be on the mend.
