It became clear to me when I opened the tent two days ago. There they were, sticking out one of the main cola’s, it was almost impossible to miss them: 2 bright lime green banana’s. It was like the little dicks were smiling to me. I immediately removed them and search all the plants thoroughly multiple times for more, but didn’t found one. So, I guess I’m now a member of the ‘hermies club’. As for the cause: I suspect light stress. The light was close on the canopy, a little closer than (for example) dr. Cocoforcannabis recommends for this light. I found the two banana’s on Jannine and the bud that had them, is the one that’s almost in the middle of the tent, where the light is the brightest. The plant on the left, Kim, was also showing some foxtailing on her highest buds. Hence, I raised the lights 6-7 centimeters. Hopefully, I took away the cause of the hermies; off course, I’m keeping a sharp eye on the buds, but I haven’t found any more than those two. Also, EC of the drain tends to go up, hence every few days, I now just give them plain pH’ed water, to prevent high EC spikes. The trichomes are developing nicely. I bought a jeweler's loupe to study them, because with my USB microscope it’s almost impossible to get a clear picture (I don’t have a steady hand). The girls are 7 weeks into flower: there are no amber trichomes, but most trichomes are partly cloudy (30~50%) and a minority is still fully clear. I guess two more weeks before harvest, maybe 1,5 week. I switch to GHE Ripen later this week. I didn’t use such a product during my first grow, so I’m curious to see if it does something good. My long vegging. Pheno of Fat Banana Auto is finally ready for harvest. Top Buds got nice purple leaf tips. Smell and bud structure is 10/10. I did wet trimming because of high humidity levels.

I got the 3 starting seeds from an exchange with a redditor who accidentally pollinated his batch with a male, meaning I didn't start with the best genetic which in the end, probably induced the hermie. It turned out good overall but it did fuck up a lot of things. I never thought 4 weeks of veg would be too much. They got tall in no time and almost tripled in height during the flowering stretch. Light burn had a significant impact on the trichome production of certain buds. The mold is on me. I should have controlled the conditions better. I had to throw away 10-15g because of it. And really nothing guarantees I removed it all. Plant B produced, in the books, a lot less than her sisters and that can be explained by 3 factors: -Mold attacked it more than the others; -I probably switched 1 or maybe 5 (who knows...) whole branches when they fell from the rope during the drying; -I left a lot of tiny popcorn buds that got separated in the ''to be extracted'' jar. The 3 plants were pretty similar in looks but gave rather different seeds. A, the hermie, gave a lot of seeds in general but almost half of them were immature or wonky and got discarded; B, a female, gave a lot of good ones but also quite a few bad ones. The have nice stripes giving them a tiger look; C, another female, still hasn't been plucked of all it's seeds but the ones I already collected are really big, round and mat. Plant A pollinated itself. Plant B got helped by me but C didn't received help from me nor the wind and still got hit, a lot less, but still. I'll never underestimate the propagation power of pollen again. FINAL HARVEST: PLANT A: - 91g - 281 viable seeds PLANT B: - 28g - 297 viable seeds PLANT C: - 89g - 149 viable seeds 167 mixed seeds from ABC EXTRACT MATERIAL: - 9g TOTAL: 217g / 894 seeds Height by weeks: 1 - 7 cm 2 - 20 cm 3 - 32 cm 4 - 49 cm Switch 5 - 81 cm 6 - 107 cm 7 - 120 cm 8 - 124 cm 9 - 125 cm 10 - 126 cm 11 - 126 cm 12 - 128 cm 13 - 128 cm Nice experience overall. A lot of thing could have gone better but the fact is I got a bunch of seeds for future pheno hunting and God knows I'll need to do some to straighten the genetic. See you all then!

Parece que ha terminado de estirar. Practico una defoliación intensa para airear los futuros cogollos y dejar mas espacio en el cuarto de cultivo. Agrupo de nuevo las macetas en su lugar optimo para asi rellenar por completo la carpa @marshydro. Me quedé algo corto de nutrientes pero estoy muy contento con los resultados, cada vez le voy encontrando mas su punto optimo. Siempre es mejor quedarse corto que pasarse.

03/01 - Day 57 All the girls have their pistils changing colors, buds growing by the day, (B) has has very sweet aromas coming out, & (C) is more earthy and peppery. Still losing some fan leaves here and there on (A) & (D) from the Cal/Mag & Phosphorus defiance but nothing like 2 weeks ago. 03/05 - Day 61 Enjoying the process and maintaining the environment. Buds on (B), (C), & (D) are starting to get heavy. Maybe some foxtails starting on (C)??

What’s up guys!! Welcome back. Week 8 just commencing - fully flushed the plants today which took forever - getting the build up of advanced nutes salts took ages, but finally got the EC of the runoff down to the same level as the water going in to the plant. Should start seeing some mad colours coming through now, but the plants are looking super dank - especially the Zkittlez! Going for a two week flush now as the trichs seem to be ready - the runtz may need a few more days than the zkitz - but it looked to be suffering a bit from some nute lockout so I’ve gone for the flush now. Hopefully I’ll see some good signs in the next couple of days! Thanks for checking in 🙌🏼

13/12 in week 5 i started by adjusting LST mainly on the Blueberry a bit since she was getting real bushy. I will probably defoliate at least the first pair of leaves. the others i try tucking away but they keep overshadowing the two lower main nodes. Blueberry really started drinking now, her pot is getting really light. Afghan kush not so much, she is still sipping on the last watering. I hope Afghan Kush ramps up overnight by some miracle cause i really like to always water them both at the same time, rather than having to prepare nutes twice and them being on a different watering schedule. but oh well! Blueberry will get her dose tomorrow, we will se about the afghan. Not much happened until now, they slowly begin their stretch now. maybe we will see some proper early flowers by the end of this week! Judging by their grow rate, im guessing they will take their sweet time, 12-14 weeks or something. Which sucks cause i got brand new air pots i want to try! but you cant win every gamble with autos. 14/12 Watered them with 2 Liters after 7 Day Break. Blueberry picked up the pace, Afghan was "dry enough". Ususal nutrients, added some minor calmag as prevention for any future deficiencies. 18/12 Watered Blueberry with 2L, 2ml/l Grow, Activera and Rootjuice, and 0.2g/l Microbes. Defoliated both of them pretty good. Afghan is skipping watering until 20/12, which will be week 6, she is still a tad too heavy for my likings. 19/12 just some minor leaf tucking and defoliation of the lowest leaves on the afghan. Watering will still take place on 20/12. Will add timelapse for this week tomorrow!
