Greetings my dear Jungletamers, So a major surprise came when @MarsHydroLED contacted us and asked if would like to try out their new SP 3000 light. Being a fan of Mars Hydro for years, we of course accepted their offer. We are totally in love with this light. I was when I saw it in another grower's setup and was in awe of its output and results. So with much pride and thankfulness for the presents the Universe bestowed on us, in the form of MarsHydroLEDS offer and the bountiful harvest of the last grow, (which I am thoroughly enjoying btw, such a great weed to have grown ourselves) we start out on a new adventure that we can't wait to share with you. With many lessons learned from the previous grow, a mighty producing strain in the form of Expert Seeds Gorilla Glue #4, a.k.a Expert Gorilla's and a tweaked super soil mixture, we are setting out to hopefully get over a gram per watt, preferably 1.5. The Setup A 4.5 (140 cm) x 2(70) x 6.2 (200) grow tent, giving me a .98 m2 workspace. This space is customized to my needs. A standing fan will provide airflow through the whole grow, a top fan will help guide cooler air past my lights onto the grow. 3 56 ltr pots will be the home for the plants when they are 2 weeks old, up to then in smaller jars. The Light The leading role and star of the show will be played by the Mars Hydro SP-3000, so kindly provided by MarsHydroLED, which we will test and review here and I might say, endorse. I'm very careful with who I endorse and support these days, but a company with that many wins in design, I'm talking ever since their first range came out in 2009 these guys have been raising the bar for the whole industry, I did not hesitate to support this leading brand. If you want to compete with these guys, you better bring some quality AND affordable pricing. Why do I endorse the SP-3000 without ANY hesitation? It is seriously THE BEST light on the market in this price range and size group. It has an enormously effective output in U/Mol and with 30% less energy waste comparing to older LED lights. Prove me wrong! And with a company holding a considerable market share selling thousands of units every month, competing on price and quality, one would think that customer service would suffer. Of course, also Mars Hydro is not perfect, but check the sheer amount of people that not only praise the light but also the service received, should the light somehow not perform up to par. Because of the great results, we are going to use the same recipe, adjusted some more with some new ingredients that will complete the mix and give an even more sustained super soil buffer. 20% Atami Bi-grow (very similar to ocean forest) 20% Atami worm castings 20% Atami Coco Coir 10% Hydrocorn 10% Peat powder 1 cup Fossil seaweed chalk 1 cup bonemeal 1 cup bloodmeal 1 cup Microlife 3-4 teaspoons of epsom salt 3 cups of activated biochar (activated with our own permaculture tea) I just made layers, starting with hydro corn on the bottom to aid airflow/run-off. Hoy termina la fase de crecimiento ,las tres variedades han crecido bastante bien destacando gorilla girl ya que son algo más grandes y más altas,se les realizó una segunda poda FIM y se pusieron los tutores .algunas puntas de hojas nuevas cogieron un leve color amarillo espero que se recuperen completamente y comiencen la floración al máximo,estoy pensando en incorporar un panel led para florecer junto con lec,que opinan lo incorporamos?saludos y dulces humos

Some of the older leaves started yellowing, so I used a little bit of mineral fertilizer and also added a spoonful of bone and blood meal. Although I think it is quite natural for them to use mobile resources and for leaves to die off, I added some fertilizer just once, especially for the nitrogen deficiency. But it will be a one-time thing. Other than that, nothing special happened. I do hope that the buds are getting bigger, but right now, I don't see much progress this week, except on the buds on the lower branches. In less than two weeks, my grow tent and new setup should arrive, so maybe she will finish inside a proper tent, and I'll get my kitchen back 😂 She is really smelly right now.

Week 2 This week I put a humidifier in the tent for a few days. Without it the humidity is around 42-49%, with it it is around 55%. I don't know if this makes sense.. Maybe one of you has some advice for me, thanks in advance. I noticed that the leaves were slowly starting to curl up at the edges. I then did some research and hung the lamp higher, about 120cm above the leaf tips and reduced the power from 50% to 40%. I hope that I have solved the problem. So far I think the leaves of the plants look better. I watered every ~ two days - without draining - and since yesterday the water quantity has been 1.5L per plant divided into 3x0.5l watering units (water, wait 30min to 1h, water again, wait, etc.). I added 6ml of CalMag to 3 liters of osmosis water. I put the last Biobizz tab into the soil and filled the pot with some more soil. Day 57 about to do my first schwazz Day 60 did a heavy defoliation. Not quite a schwazz. Almost Filled a 2 gallon bucket up with clippings a lot more light and air penetration is available. I think she’ll bounce back nicely Day 64. As the week comes to an end. I am very pleased with the progress. Canopy is nice and even. You can’t tell which one is the main cola. And for a little 300 watt light even the lower flowers are getting pretty dense. Still a long way to go. I would imagine this one will take over 90 days before see Amber. But we shall see

There's something i want to correct and remark this week. About the question i asked some weeks ago on growers help, about the plant with decoloring problems (Photos 7 & 13), where i've choose the defoliation answer as the correct one. Watching the plant today, I would say that it can be an excess of co2 in the roots caused by a co2 tablet that I used during the first days of growth. You can notice how the part of the plant in the back does not present de decoloration it have in the front. Also remarking what i've told last week, i must say the SCROG is not a true SCROG, as some colas begin below others, and also colas are of different heights among all plants. Anyway i'm very happy on how everything is going. En sobre la pregunta que realicé hace unas semanas sobre la planta que tenía una decoloración (Fotos 7 y 13), en la que escogí la respuesta de la variegación. Viendo la planta a día de hoy, yo diría que es un exceso de CO2 en las raíces causado por una pastilla de CO2 que usé durante los primeros días de crecimiento. Al fijarse bien se ve como la parte trasera de la planta no presenta las decoloraciones y sin embargo la frontal si. Para tener una idea más o menos certera del tamaño de las partes de las plantas, tened en cuenta que la red está fija a 24 cm de la parte superior de la tierra de los tiestos. También remarcando lo que dije durante la última semana, he de decir que el SCROG no es un SCROG real, ya que las colas no empiezan desde la misma altura ni son de la misma altura, ni las plantas son de la misma altura. Se encuentra perfecta, sin ningún problema en toda su etapa. Los cocos estan grandes y bastantes desarrollados aunque no se encuentra ni el 50% ambar los pistillos. Su aroma es fuerte, esta muy resinosa. En estos dias estare publicando mas imágenes de como viene.

Had to cut. Open house through my apartment for 4 hours/day every day basically until it sells. I'm keeping them hanging in the window until the tours come through, then they go in a paper bag in a bin under my bed and I burn incense. It went ok today. I just used a microscope and they're both pretty early. This one has mostly cloudy trichomes with some clear and very few amber. The White Widow has a lot of white hairs that aren't even through growing, and the trichomes aren't really there as much either. Certainly not glowing white with resin. It's a shame I had to cut early but I think it will still be some good smoke as long as I can keep if from going mouldy.

Just recorded a video this week. Nothing has changed. They are vibing with some bigger sisters. Some plain water is sprayed every other day. The first seeds that popped were transplanted to a bigger container and some others already popped
