Grow Diary – Fazit 🌱 Robuste Strains, unkomplizierter Grow und zwei zufriedene Ladys. Zwei Femis standen an, aber im Zelt war leider kein Platz mehr. Also hieß es: Ab in den Garten! 😄 Am 08.03. sind die beiden im Light Mix eingezogen. Nach den Eisheiligen und sobald die Temperaturen konstant mild waren, durften sie nach draußen umziehen. Den heißen Sommer haben die Ladys bis auf ihren großen Durst völlig problemlos überstanden. Viel Aufwand war gar nicht nötig: 💧 Regenwasser 🌿 Ab und an etwas Brennnesseljauche ✂️ Ein klein wenig entlaubt Mehr wurde an den beiden eigentlich nicht gemacht. Und das Ergebnis? Keine Ungeziefer, keine größeren Probleme und insgesamt ein super unkomplizierter Grow. Genau so wünscht man sich robuste Strains! Fazit Wer auf der Suche nach pflegeleichten, robusten Strains ist, die auch mal mit weniger Aufmerksamkeit klarkommen, ist mit diesen beiden definitiv gut unterwegs. Zwei Femis, kein Platz im Zelt – und am Ende wurde der Garten zur perfekten Alternative. 🌞🌿 Ein Grow, der gezeigt hat: Manchmal braucht es gar nicht viel, wenn die Genetik stimmt. ❤️

A plant with both standard cellular respiration (occurring throughout the plant, including leaves and stems) and adequate root respiration will have a significantly higher ATP throughput than one restricted to only general cellular respiration in a limited way. Cellular respiration is the fundamental metabolic process that occurs in all living plant cells (roots, stems, leaves, flowers, seeds) to convert glucose into usable energy (ATP). It requires oxygen and produces carbon dioxide and water as byproducts. Root respiration is not a separate type of respiration, but rather a specific instance of cellular respiration occurring in the roots. Roots absorb oxygen from the air spaces in the soil to fuel their energy needs. Roots require a substantial amount of ATP for essential functions like nutrient and water absorption, as well as growth and maintenance of their tissues. The primary form of respiration in healthy plant roots is aerobic respiration, which is highly efficient, yielding up to 30-38 ATP molecules per glucose molecule. Anaerobic Respiration (Inefficient): If roots are deprived of oxygen (e.g., in waterlogged soil), they switch to anaerobic respiration, which is far less efficient, producing only 2 ATP molecules per glucose molecule and also generating alcohol, which can be toxic and kill the plant. Therefore, a plant with healthy, oxygenated roots performing efficient aerobic respiration in addition to the rest of the plant's cellular respiration has a much greater overall ATP production and energy capacity. A soil without organic matter will generally have a low Cation Exchange Capacity (CEC). Biochar is often prized for its potential to increase soil cation exchange capacity (CEC), but this effect is highly dependent on the specific properties of the biochar (feedstock and pyrolysis temperature) and the soil type to which it is applied. High-ash biochars, especially those produced at lower temperatures and applied to acidic or sandy soils, can significantly boost CEC by providing abundant binding sites for cations like calcium (Ca²⁺), magnesium (Mg²⁺), and potassium (K⁺). Biochar is more sustainable than typical organic matter for long-term soil improvement primarily due to its high stability and resistance to microbial decomposition, allowing it to persist in the soil for hundreds to thousands of years. This longevity provides a lasting positive effect on soil properties, particularly by increasing the cation exchange capacity (CEC) over time, while regular organic matter breaks down much faster. Biochar generally offers a much higher CEC than coco coir, though specific values vary greatly; while coco coir might sit around 40-60 cmol/kg, biochar can range from tens to over 200 cmol/kg, with sources like Acacia wood biochar or even coconut shell biochar often surpassing coco's capacity due to its porous structure, creating significantly more cation-binding sites for nutrients, making it superior for nutrient retention. Needs to be charged similar to coco but at a much higger rate. But shhhh.. It's a secret. Recommend a balanced ratio of key cations, particularly calcium (Ca), magnesium (Mg), and potassium (K). A widely accepted general "ideal soil" cation saturation ratio is approximately 65-85% Ca, 6-12% Mg, and 2-5% K. That's roughly what I give mine. Can even add N in its NH4+ form

Started a little training, cut down the older fan leaves and topped up. I’m adding a tiny bit of root stimulator cause changed the pot size last week so it will to promote a faster growth. Gotta keep this lady low cause the box is quite small. So excited 😆

looks like ive only got 2 weeks left on these, they are bigger and denser than when i grew it outdoors this spring. stickyer as well. Time to start looking at these under the microscope. More to come...

Had defoliated a few times in the last half of the grow so not too much to do during harvest. Caught the bud rot early so it didn't trouble me through drying. Passed the 'snap test' in 11 days of hanging in 60% ending with 48% humidity in 19°C.

Its alittle bit tougher to keep them happy, than the Photoperiods, but i get it managed Harvest is coming closer Girls sit in up to 10g of Soil getting daily Bath into the Feedingsolution, and some claypebbles on the surface to keep them happy Stay tuned

The end of the fourth week. Only 2,5 to 3 weeks to go, since this is the FAST version of Gelato 33 by Advanced seeds. Last week temps were better, so that was a lot better to manage. The smell is a different story. We are trying to combat it as we speak with a double filter which my friend still had from a previous grow. The ladies are performing, however, because this is a monstercrop with many budsites, none of them will be very big. We anticipate a lot of cutting come harvest time. The stickieness and smell (cookies, dough, herbs, spices, gingerbread, vanilla) promise a lot to make up for that hopefully!! The middle plant that seemed to go fastest, now looks like to have the hardest time flowering. Her more advanced stage of flowering as a bigger clone, made it harder for her to return to veg, which she never really did. This seems to make her want to rush to the finish, as she is already browning the pistils. Also these buds seem more flakey, popcorny. As if the many flowers and grapelike bundled growth was too much for her. I put the light a little closer, to help her fatten up in the time she is given. I never expected the two 'runts' to outperform the mighty middle clone, but hey seem to fatten up and age much more nicely. So for now, prelimenary tip: make sure all your plants are completely revegged before flowering and consider that faster flowering species might have some ruderalis ancestry that might siderail all your lighting intentions and remains in flower what ever the growers lighting schedule. So with at least two more weeks for the two outer plants, and well see how many for the middle one, we are going to make them as comfortable as possible the final push of this flowering. 420 Fastbuds Week 6 Amnesia Zkittlez Auto Hello grow fam. Week 6 update on these two. Both are doing amazing in every way. The taller one is flowering like no other. The smaller one isn't to far behind. I decided to add 1Tsp/gal of General Hydroponics 3 part Flora series for an added boost if they happen to need it. It's got a lot colder in my neck of the woods getting down to the 30'f at night so keeping the Temps up in the tent is always a battle but so far they're enduring OK. All in all Happy Growing

Another run started - 1 Purple Kush Auto from Oasis Genetics and 1 Pineapple Express Auto from Barney's Farm. Wet, single sheet paper towel germination method has been 100% successful thus far and once again it did not fail. For this auto run started them off in Jiffy Pellets and then in solo cups before planting into final pot. Was feeding 100ml tap water Ph between 6.0 - 6.1 each every day once in solo cups. Realized during this week both lights were not necessary and therefore only ran one SF2000.

I had a busy week moving the plants into NFT once roots started to show, put them into a tent give them a fan. Freebie seed shown slow recovery but decided to use it anyway.
