From structure to flower formation, these girls are showing intent. Stacking, stretching, drinking… responding. Let’s break this week down properly. --- ## 🔬 Macro World — Why We Start Looking Closer Now This week marks the beginning of something important: we stop just looking… and start observing. Macro photography allows us to step into the plant’s reality: • Trichome heads beginning to form • Early resin coverage on sugar leaves • Pistils reaching, searching, multiplying • Surface textures you don’t see with the naked eye No stacking here — just single shots. Finding the focus. Respecting the moment. Some shots are clean and informative. Others are more dramatic — shadows, contrast, emotion. Both matter. Because growing is not just data… it’s also perspective. --- ## 🌿 Canopy Work — Opening Space, Not Forcing Control This week we did a selective defoliation. Not aggressive. Not random. Intentional. One of the girls pushed hard — dense structure, limited airflow — so we opened her up slightly. Goal: • Improve light penetration • Reduce microclimate buildup • Allow lower sites to breathe • Keep energy moving efficiently We removed more leaves than initially expected — but always with respect to the plant. No stress signs after. They accepted it well. --- ## ⚠️ Leaf Observations — Nothing Concerning We spotted some burned leaves, mainly: → Under-canopy LED exposure → Lower zones receiving direct intensity Important: • Not spreading • Not systemic • New growth remains healthy Color is strong. Leaf posture is confident. Flower sites are developing clean. Week 07 and the heat wave is behind us. Didn’t update last week but not much to report. Some serious damage was a result of the heat, causing the lights and everything else to become too much for the girls. #2 took it the best and is still growing nicely packing on weight and some serious frost! Finishing much faster then the others. I might re veg her the smell is so nice. The two larger #1 & 4 have been hungry forever awhile and I never applied anymore Gaia:(

The culmination of reversing our Matterhorn cut off Mr. Crowley to Intergalactic Runtz, and the results were out of this world (I had to do it). These ladies were slow to start, but once they hit their stride they put any worries we had to rest. Compact, short-framed, and robust. They pack beautifully boulder-like flowers that reek of garlic and sickly sweet cotton candy. Dark green to a mosaic of purples, yellows, and silvers. Frost production is off the charts, the internode spacing is tight, and they certainly will impress in their last few weeks of flower. This is one of our favorite crosses in the new fem lineup. Hello. There were difficulties in growth. Corrected the mistakes of the past days. The ground was too wet. Very few useful items. 4 bush came to life. I'm fighting for the other three. I created a new report with the same sieve bank, but with a new earth.

This week I'll keep the EC on the same level as the previous week becose following Athena program I'm supposed to keep this level ov EC for the first week in VEG. If I notice any deficiency I'll jump directly in week 2. For now the ladies are doing grate, it almost feels like they can use a little bit more fertilizer, but better less dan over fed, so I'm not taking the risk for now. By the way forgot to mention that now we are officially removing the supplemental LED and this little fighters are directly under the GML TARANTULA VOYAGER. DAY 21/DAY 2VEG RH 55-60 Room temperature day 26C Room temperature night 21-23C EC 305 pH 6.23 Water temperature 19.5-20C PPFD 400 Light cicle 20/4 I love to start training them as early as i cen. Day 2 and we are in LST. I don't plan on stopping or fiming anything in this run so basically we will see what is going the be result with basic LST and Scrog NET later in to flowering, when we put them in a separate buckets. Roots are more dan stable, Athena works amazing I don't know how it happens but my water is getting low and my EC doesn't change, they are so well absorbed and so stable in RDWC. I'm starting Stack this week and I'll foliar feed them 1-2 times a week. Probably every 3 days or kind of. DAY 22/DAY3 VEG RH 55-60 Room temperature day 26C Room temperature night 21-23C EC 275 pH 6.0 Water temperature 19.5-20C PPFD 400 Light cicle 20/4 VPD 1-1.3 I decided to stop the LST and keep the training for little later but accidentally topped/snapped one of the plants so basically it's too late and now one of them is topped. The good news is that it's early stage and it will have all the time to recover. Otherwise all the flowers are going great. I never experienced stems so strong and woody. I don't know is it becose of Athena or it's the genetic but this little plants in RDWC already have strong stems and obviously no cal-mag deficiency. I'll run 3 untopped plants vs one topped and obviously I'll have to gamble strong with scrogging and LST in the later stage. I can't believe how well is working and this is just week one Veg. The flowers have strong stems and they go really healthy. I have started a foliar feeding with stack. I have never used foliar before and it will be interesting for me to see the results. I still can't believe the results only 24 days from seed pop. If we don't count this period it's week 2 and this is ridiculously fast. DAY 25/DAY6 VEG RH 55-60 Room temperature day 26C Room temperature night 21-23C EC 335 pH 5.9 Water temperature 19.5-20C PPFD 400 Light cicle 20/4 VPD 1.2-1.3 Brutal development so far one of the best I had, even the small sling (topped by mistake) is going pretty strong. Root development is amazing and so far everything is dialed in. DAY 26/ DAY 7VEG RH 55-60 Room temperature day 26C Room temperature night 23-25C EC 300 pH 6.1 Water temperature 18.5-19.5 PPFD 400 Light cicle 20/4 VPD 1.2-1.3 I manage to handle my environment, I'm still waiting for good heater since ACI still don't have it on my market I use different methods to keep my temperature stable. My humidity is pretty well set so I'm able to keep stable VPD of 1.2-1.3. I don't really follow the best recommended parameters, becose in my experience is better to be stable and more easy for the plant to adapt. pH is 6.2 I'm leaving it by purpose to fluctuate in order to be achieved full range of nutrients, so basically I correct the pH every two days. The root zone is perfectly clean and we'll oxygenated. Basically nothing can stop the progress on environmental side. The only question is do I want to increase the EC levels tomorrow. I'm one week forward in to the Athena feeding but it seems the flowers are more dan well so I'm asking myself with that well developed roots, can I push it a little bit more. I'll see tomorrow, new week new entry point I think🤗🤣

This week all 3 Pheno continue to stretch, which likely will continue through end next week (week 4 flower). Fed girls Recharge prior to defoliation at the end of week. Day and night tent temperatures were constantly between 78F and 65F degrees. Relative humidity a consistent 55%. Using an online calculator found VPD range from day 1.48 (kPa) to 0.95 (kPa) at night. About as closed to optimum as one can get given existing equipment/tools and recent substantial rain in the SoCal region. Due for watering tomorrow, so prior to, I will top dress with worm castings, compost, and Langbeinite 0-0-22. I believe this should carry the 3 through to harvest. Breeder flower time listed is between 56 and 70 days. We are at day 20 flower as of today.

The plant finally started stretching and the structure from topping and heavy LST is paying off with many evenly distributed bud sites. Growth was slow early on, but the plant is very healthy and the canopy is now forming nicely as flowering begins. 🌱

First off I just want to say for some reason it’s not letting me change the right temperatures on my diaries ! Each time when I put it in they stay at 50. My day air stays 75 degrees an , night degrees is 70 ! Today is day 58 for all these ladies! This week has been really great ! Girls really progressed a lot , especially for one the Forbiddin Runtz, looks like is gonna finish up in a week or 2 ! Other then that they are coming along well! Disculpen las fotos, es que las saque para consultar. Bueno primero que nada fue una semana de mucha tormanta, lluvias y humedad. lo peor que nos puede pasar en floracion. Segundo intente hacer supercroping ya que las ramas seguian superando el tejido y les llegaba luz en la noche. Y me salio desastrozo, mi primera vez. Pero los otros punteros que superaban la altura, los hizo mi compañero que sabia hacerlo (No tengo foto, luego actualizo). Y Tercero que debido a la humedad se ven en las fotos como aparecio hongos, por lo que pude observar era solo ese poco, lo cual ya fue removido vamos a ver como continuamos.

Wazzuuuup guy’s? So it’s week 7, the lady’s are officially on the flowering stage!! (Since 4/10) It’s all going very well, they are happy and so am I, been watering every 3-4 days with 1.2l each (before flowering I’ve watered with approximately 2l) and they have good colour and you can see some stretch. Well, not much but they are trained after all 🤷‍♂️🏻 Just some yellow leafs below the canopy but guess that’s normal, they are really needing some defoliation but I’m going to wait 2-3 weeks because I don’t want to stress them on this early stage I’m thinking about adding the scrog net but I don’t know if it’s too late for that, what do you guys think?

What a journey it has been from seed! I made a lot of mistakes in the first few weeks of this growing journey. I feel like I had a mini-crash after finishing the first year of grad school, and although I am growing cannabis as part of my research project, I haven't been the greatest at paying attention to it. This is not an excuse. It has actually been a learning opportunity. I realized that my body needs proper schedules to function and grow, just like a plant. The problems with the plant have really been my own problems. Let's just say that a plant may be the reflection of the grower. First, the light cycles were wrong and inconsistent. I thought that I could manually control the light schedule for the plants and be alright. However, I was wrong. My sleep schedule has been very inconsistent for the past few months. Mainly because we are living through a pandemic, and secondly because I am a graduate student 😂. How naive was it of me to think that a plant could follow my own rhythms? I guess it highlights my 'plant blindness.' Second, the light intensity was low and PH levels high. In the last five days, I have learned that plants are living organisms (I knew this, but my plant blindness is quick to dismiss it, I need to stop fighting these "plant voices" (signals)) that require a proper environment to grow, similar to humans. Of course, a plant is not human, but it is alive and living. It needs water, a regular schedule (light (active) /darkness (rest), oxygen, nutrients, and an overall good environment to grow. Concern about the size of my plant at five weeks, I decided to conduct a few experiments at home. Here are my notes: Friday, July 23, 2021, I took the plant out of the tent at 6:00 AM and placed it in front of my backyard window that faces the Eastside, perfect for sunrise. On that day, I had a few errands to run, and when I arrived home, it was 2:30 PM. The sun was now hitting the West side of my house, and I had to move the plant in front of my bedroom window. At around 7:00 PM, I went to look at the plant and noticed that its leaves were looking plumpy. So, I decided to take a timelapse to see what I would be able to record. During "magic hour" (sunset), I recorded and witnessed the plant moving with the rhythms of the sun. Plant, like humans, function at their best when they are synchronized with their circadian rhythm. The pandemic has definitely disoriented us to the point that it has disrupted all of our schedules. To this day, I feel tired from everything we have all been through; how could I possibly think that a plant would thrive with such a messed-up schedule? The time lapse made me realize that the plant needs some structure to thrive, and so do I. So, as much as I like to think that I can be disciplined and follow a plant's schedule, I cannot. So, I went to the store and bought the Globe Suite smart plug to automate and schedule the light cycle to 12hrs of light and 6 hours of darkness. Saturday, July 24, 2021, the plant woke up to the set schedule of the lights. I checked on the plant first thing in the morning, around 9:30 AM. The leaves look much greener and thicker than they did the day before. Sunday, July 25, 2021. I was away overnight and did not arrive home until 2 PM. The plant looks twice the size it was on Friday! Today, I will water the plant. I got a PH test kit and realized that the way that I measured the PH level, the first few weeks was wrong 🤦‍♀️🏽. I measured the PH correctly, to 5.9, and added some Reefertilizer grow nutrients to the water. I watered from the top, distributing the water evenly around the stem. My partner pointed to me that the lights seemed dim for the stage of the plant's life. So I had my lights set at 100 watts running at 20 % 😅. I realized that I had not increased the light intensity since the first few weeks of vegetation 🤦‍♀️🏽. So I increased the intensity to 100 watts running at 60%. Monday, July 26, 2021. First check-in 7:00 AM: The plant looks like it loves all of the new changes that I have made! It is finally growing 🤗 The sun is out, but it is not as intense as it should be because tiny particles of smoke are present in our air due to the wildfires, and they create a filter that makes the human eye see the sun blood red. It is quite apocalyptic. Regardless, I decided to take the plant out from the tent and record a time-lapse. It is fascinating how much movement plants have despite showing no noticeable signs of movement (to the human eye). Tuesday, July 27, 2021. It has been five days since I have made big changes to the plant's schedule and environment. The plant is finally showing good signs of growth, and its leaves colours have changed to a deep green. I am not watering the plant today, but I am spritzing it with water. I decided to take another time-lapse of the plant, but this time inside the tent. As I was setting up the tripod for my camera, I accidentally increased the humidifier 🤦‍♀️🏽. Luckily, I noticed within a reasonable timeframe and reduced the humidity and made the environment better. I increased the light intensity to 100 watts at 100%. The plant will stay in the tent all day today because it is raining ☔️.

This girl is really tall and sexy I must say. I expect her to show pre flowers within the next few days.

08/16/2020 She seems to be recovering well I think she was hungry. So fert. (4-9-3) spikes and LAB worked well together. Affected leaves are fading, new growth looks good. And not a spot of PW any where! We are getting some light rain throughout the day but still could use more rain

I reduced nutrients. Powdery mildew is continuing and getting slightly worse. I sprayed it with an apple cider vinegar mix. Hopefully that helps. The smell on the flower is really incredible. Smells berry like, and clean. I opened all vents in tent and have been leaving the window slightly open as well. Heater is keeping up ok. Even in the cold nights it’s keeping it at 66F with everything open. The leaves went crazy refilling the canopy. I’ve been pinching off some of the longer leaves and some that had mildew. The buds look good. Trichomes are cloudy enough yet, but it’s getting close. I’m gonna err on an earlier harvest, if the powdery mildew continues. I’m making some LAB from KNF, along with other natural fertilizers. If the vinegar solution doesn’t help, I’ll try that when it’s ready. Excited to try KNF on my outdoor garden and lawn. Planning on growing a couple canna plants outside this year. Gonna keep my outdoor as organic and natural as I can. The clone is doing well. The areas that I knuckled are strong now. Looks like biceps. Powdery mildew seemed to get this plant worse than the other. I’ve been wiping it off with my fingers as I see it, and finally treated with the vinegar solution too. I increased its feed to week two of medium gh feed chart. Expecting a lot of growth this week even with little light. Getting my dry closet ready as well. Got another humidity controller and an upgraded temp controller with Wi-Fi. Gonna dry one more time inside my house. It’s dry enough inside that I should only need a humidifier to keep it right. Need to get another one before I harvest and then should have everything. I used grove bags last time to cure and will never use anything else. Ordered another cheap TDS meter. The one I had got dropped in the solution. Update: 2/11 The apple cider vinegar definitely cleared the powdery mildew up, but I found a few spots I think I missed directly in the middle of the large plant. I don’t see anything on the clone. I’ll reapply in a few days and pay closer attention to the middle of the plant.
