Welcome to my Fast Buds sponsored shootout and living organic soil v coco side by side. I also plan to use this grow to my full advantage regarding a few age old nagging questions about methods. I have had a keen interest in L.O.S ( supersoil) since reading a few threads a while back on how amazing and productive it can be. After too much research and procrastinating I had to give it a go. I have been a decades coco/nft grower and recently threw my hat in the rdwc ring too. I have avoided soil due to the overwatering worry ( heavy handed chimp brain !) and the best potting soil/feeds. Catching up on the advances in indoor soil gardening and organics led me too subcools supersoil recipes to name a few but being a town dweller with farms everywhere around me still drew blanks on a lot of the ingredients needed and where the hell I could even begin to get them from. Thankfully , commercial savvy has now made buying it in ready to use and with a full range of beneficial bacteria ect available in amendments from a grow shop here in the uk. ecothrive have realised the potential for us to dive into this medium with all the mixing , measuring and resourcing. I bit the bullet and £150 later I now have 4 x37Litre pots that will be used for as long as I want to feed the soil for without EVER needing nutrients again potentially. The coco has also had charge mixed in to encourage the bennies to colonize there too. I will be using the shogun nutes that I know do the business with coco to compare with for yield , growth and taste. I have 3 seeds each of 4 Fast Buds Strains to use as a control for the grow and am journaling each strain in their own diaries. This statement will be used to start each one as the information is identical at this point but following this I will do them individually. I am now starting their second week since opening the seed packets , straight into soaked and shook root riot cubes and into the heated propagator. They had all showed their heads by end of day 3 and a couple needed helmet surgery to open up without being hindered . I have has them in the prop for a few days but they needed to get settled as they were popping roots out all over the cubes. They have now been in their final pots for 2 days complete and starting their 3rd today at day 8 since planting in cubes. I am impressed with the speed and success of these girls already (12 of 13 germinated) . Well done fast buds. So here we go folks , any comments , ideas ,questions , advice are always welcome and I hope we can have some fun experimenting with defol v non defol , topping v fimming v bending and any other curiosities along the way. Hello. This is the end of week 8 and the beginning of week 9 of flowering. This week I will start flushing for 2 weeks. The breeders description said 8 to 9 weeks of flowering, But I found I like to grow everything to 10 week of flowering. I find I like nice mature buds a little past, what some people call, prime conditions. Now that I have a number of flowering areas I might put 1 to sativa use and start flowering 12 to 18 weeks or start some sativa at 12/12. But first I have to get through about 1 1/2 years of bought seeds I have sitting here all 10 week of flowering or less. I would like a good stable of prize females, and then I'll start making my own fem seeds and seeing what new strains I can come up with. The smell is mostly citrus now with some earthy/watery undertones. Keep Growing Straight. Chuck.

As you can see, these girls are looking good they are growing and you may see more than you know of. I got one from a buddy who said he did not know what he was doing after about a month and a half so I said give her here I’ll take her.

Tremenda planta hermosa, este fue uno de los fenotipos mas resistentes de los 4 que tuve, siempre estuvo a gusto con todo. Lo unico malo fue que la flora es un poco mas larga que los otros fenos entonces estaba descoordinada y la coseche antes, bien terminada debe ser una delicia porque aunque no termino su ciclo estaba bien rica dulzona

Ya estamos en plena floración y con las luminarias a max potencia... Evidentemente el aire acondicionado también está trabajando durante la fase de encendido. Flowa-Bloom es la estrella de los nutrientes a incorporar, pero todos son importantes... Así que sigo la tabla de fertilización de JUJU Royal al pie de la letra. Eso si, primero humedezco bien el sustrato con agua, para aprovechar bien la solución con los nutrientes y que no filtre por las macetas textiles. Riego cada cuatro días.

Sono veramente contento di come questa Moby dick ha affrontato il suo ciclo vitale ha risposto molto bene e anche se c è stato qualche problema alla fine il peso mi ha reso molto contento, Dinafem una garanzia come sempre e la Moby Dick è una delle top genetiche dinafem. Odore fresco e gusto da moby di cui non ti stanchi veramente valida come autofiorente.

What’s up my diplomats, all good? Here’s the latest grow update — I’m super excited for the next few weeks. Let’s get to it: --- * **July 23, 2025** My pH meter arrived. After calibration, just like my buddy @FishWhistler pointed out, the pH was a bit off. I also got some pH down, and now I’m watering with water adjusted to around 6.5. Result: all the plants started showing much better growth, and the two that were struggling are now clearly bouncing back. Huge thanks @FishWhistler! Plants 1 and 2, which were moved to bigger pots a week ago, are looking way better now.   --- * **July 26, 2025** I transplanted plant 3 into a bigger pot. Since the move, it’s shown clear improvement. With a richer soil mix, it should thrive even more now. --- * **July 28, 2025** Before lights out, I applied a preventive spray made of water, andiroba oil, and potassium silicate to protect from pests. Also did a TOP cut on plant 3. At sunrise, the girls looked beautiful! Some of them have droopy tips because the photo was taken before watering.

d43 - 9.26 - Recovering quite nicely. Was able do just about all the training and trimming I want to before I switch to flower around the end of week 8. My Fast White Widows are definitely more ground hugging, while the Black Sugars are reachers, but still manageable. They have all been trained to best fit the recovery of each individual plant, so my canopy definitely isn't going to be even 😅Nonetheless, grateful they have been resilient little buggers and happy for the chance to take them flower, regardless of whether I'll have the picture perfect tent. 🙏 D47 - 9.30 - I lied. I had to train a little more. One BS cola was really outgrowing the rest, and the opposite side of plant had taken for damage from bug treatment two weeks ago so i HST'd it back and spread the other. Still planning to flower them in 7-14 days!

I’m still not sure about the FIM job on the LSD, and the purple haze is looking a bit runtish, but we’ll see how they go. I cut some leaves on the PH today to give the bud sites beneath them more light. All in all, they are doing well I think.

harvested on day 66. trichomes been turning amber for last couple of weeks. but she is amazing. bud structure is top notch and the smell is unreal. this was my first organic grow and only second ever. the difference in my grows are night and day and i will be staying organic for sure. i cant recommened it enough. will update weights etc when its all dried hopefully on the weekend coming

And im in first flowering Week since last sunday, so far i really can't complain. Everything looks healthy and fine. Plant 3 is still kinda weaker/slower and Plant 4 seems to want to do some sativa things and grows up like hell but oh well, at least Plant 1 and 2 just grow as they should. This week i made the Bio Tabs compost tea for the first time and the plants seem to love it. Each one received 500ml if it. Can't wait to see the results at the end of the run. Again thanks to Bio Tabs for sending it out so i can test it. Humidity was pretty high because of constant rain this week, but it seems like i have made it through it, now just to make sure to finish this run before the summer heat will come. I removed a few leaves here and there because they were stacking or blocking light, i will defoliate in 1-2 weeks for real. Sadly Plant 4 needed an even higher stool then last weeks, so it's on the same height as the others. It was getting not enough light this deep down. That is also because why the scrog net does look like it does right now. I try to make it more "appealing" tonight, but i don't want to break anything and it works like it should right now, so yeah it looks stupid but it's alright.
