First sign of preflowers, it's been 7 days since the flip. I'm just winging it like I do with everyday life đŸ€ŁđŸ˜† They both seem happy enough, if anything the watermelon looks like a could pull back on the nitrogen a little but we'll see. (Update... 14 days since flip) The cheese was a male, absolutely gutted. I thought I was seeing things when I saw male sac, none where open so got it in time but how can it just be a straight up male when they're supposed to be feminised seeds? Crazy bad luck or what? If anyone wants to chuck their two cents in I'll happily take the knowledge. The seed was Cheese from Barneys, I've never had this problem with them before but it knocks my confidence with them a bit. On the other hand the Watermelon Zkittlez is coming along nicely, next week's update will be updated on Monday. Peace ✌

Now all plants are fully blooming and producing buds. The two plants on the back are really difficult for me to reach, so they'll have more leaves as I can't trim em. Especially the rigt back corner one, it's way bushier.

This was another hot, hot week with a big rainstorm. Take a look at the measuring cup, it is full of rainwater. Zamnesia Mango Kush continues to smell and is very sticky. It is tall and with packed buds It should be ready to take down in a couple of weeks. Half way through this grow, I had to stop using Miracle Grow and change my grow plan. I decide to use Advance Nutrients Jungle Juice for the rest of the grow. Jungle Juice’s selling point is that it is the only nutrient that I should need during the entire grow. One just need to make the solution stronger as the plant matures. The directions say to “stir vigorously” and that is true. It is very clumpy and I had to stir and shake the bottle a lot. As your plant is in veg and growing larger, directions say to up your Jungle Juice to 4 ml per liter. If my calculations are correct, I am using approx. 5 tablespoons per 5 gallon bucket. 1 gal is 3.78 liters 5 gallons=18.92 liters 4ml jungle juice per liter x 18.92 liters= 75.7 ml which is = to 5.119 tablespoons per 5 gallon bucket of water As the end of the summer is quickly approaching, I have spent some time reflecting this week on all of the contests that I have entered and not won this summer. It can be a little frustrating because of all the time I have spent taking pictures and writing commentary. But, instead of it getting me down, I have to think about all of the positive take aways and I want to share them on this platform. I have read a lot of diaries and now know why I am just an apprentice. I have a lot to learn from all of you. There are some really good growers with a lot of experience and crazy grow techniques. So much knowledge is on this platform-it’s mind boggling. To be a great grower, you must be willing to be vulnerable and put yourself out there and try different suggestions and new techniques. I have made a few friend that I enjoy chatting with. I enjoy reading comments versus just seeing likes. My best friend on grow diaries is @Natrona and my neighbor as well. She has been growing longer than I have been so I routinely learn from her. This summer I learned to mix 1 cup of Perlite into my soil. I can see where my plants need the air flow. And, I now I only defoliate fan leaves that absolutely need to be gone. I let the fan leaves stay on until they fall off. I want my buds to pull all the nutrients they can out of the fan leaves. I also bought 2 new tools that @natrona suggested. The first was a water PH tester and the second was my Max-ee Magnifier which is informative and fun to use. As always, Let’s Chat it up AND Likes and comments are appreciated

Bleibt also am besten dran.
Sehr interessant! Hella Jelly (Humboldt Seed Company): Notorious THC × Very Cherry. Aussehen: Buds the size of your forearm (shout-out an Urban Remo). Kid Pambele (Black Tuna): K.O. × Sherbert Shocker.
Peace.

These 3 are fattening up beautifully, the bud structures are perfect and they dont appear to be slowing down anytime soon. #3 atleast has a vanilla cream aroma to it that really gets my nipples hard, I havbt really smelled the other ones but they all look pretty similar. Only change this week is humidity os dropping as it gets colder here.

Day 22- She stopped putting on height due to one night of a dramatic temperature drop. It's a cooler fall this year plus a freeze came through the night before. That night, I was up doing some studying when I noticed the reading on the remote display. N o telling how long it had been in the very low 60's. The problem was fixed simply by adding a heater to the room. Now, the temp is only in the 68 degree range for the final 2 1/2 hrs. before the lights are cut back on. Day 26- Her bud branches hav grown at least 2 -5 innches in length and have at least 2-4 bud sites already. Instead of Defoliation, I decided to actual two different types of LST. The first is simply bending to fan leaf branches under to expose the bud branches to more light. The main benefit is that you still keep the ability to absorb more of the light energy with them. I look at the fan leaves as your plant's " Personal Sun Panels". Since they store energy in the day and use that reserve to grow at night, why would you take something away for her that is meant to help her? Also, the second method I used is something I like to call" wind thickening". The technique is using wind resistance to train your plant's stem and branches to become more rigid by growing thicker to stablize itself. So, instead of a gentle breeze, I use a three speed box fan at varies distance. I started doing this on Day 22 and the results are definitely showing. The main stem went from 1/16 in. to a nice 3/8 in.

The only thing that happened this week was that I added under-canopy lighting. I don't expect much as it's a cheap light with only 24W (four LED strips x 6W), but since it was just lying around, I figured I might as well use it.

Finally starting to see some roots underneath and some decent growth up top. I’ll update again after changing out the reservoirs to see if that helps with some of what I think is a nitrogen toxicity.

Everything is going AMAZING! I have started giving her some fox farm big bloom every other feeding. As you can see she's flowering now. The smell is very strong and sweet. Additionally, one set of nodes just split into 2 growth tips as if I had topped it. I've never seen anything like that before. So far I have nothing but good to say about SpliffSeeds!

01/06/24 Transferred plants to their final home. DIY Aeroponic system.PH 5.6 01/08/24 Gentle bend LST, Having both lights on caused my breaker to trip. Temp in tent dropped to 40*F for 8ish hours. 01/09/24 LST and leaf tucked each plant. 01/10/24 Found out the hard way to keep an eye on water volume. Added 2.5 gallons of water with 40ml each of Sensei Bloom A+B, 20ml Voodoo Juice, 20ml B-52. 01/11/24 Plants bounced back. No lost ladies.

Flipped these girls to flower on day 26. Most of them have been looking good and growing pretty fast. I topped off the reservoir and added a little maxibloom. All 8 plants are drinking a total of about 2 gallons of water per day now. I kinda slacked on training them this week, but I will try to get them spread out some over the next week. I have been pulling a few fan leaves from the bottom so they can get good air circulation.

Week 8 (17-3 to 23-3) 17-3 Temps: 17.4 to 21.9 degrees Humidity: 60% to 72% 18-3 Temps: 17.5 to 22.2 degrees Humidity: 54% to 65% 19-3 Temps: 17.9 to 22.4 degrees Humidity: 52% to 61% Watering: Both 500 ml. EC: 0.4 Watering: Both 1000 ml. EC: 1.4 Defoliated both plants and attached some shoots to the rack. She got really big fan leaves! I also supercropped some branches. 20-3 Temps: 18.2 to 22.8 degrees Humidity: 59% to 69% 21-3 Temps: 18.5 to 23.4 degrees Humidity: 57% to 67% Watering: Both 1000 ml. 22-3 Temps: 19.4 to 24.1 degrees Humidity: 55% to 67% Watering: Both 1000 ml. Set the strength of the light to 50% 23-3 Temps: 19.8 to 24.8 degrees Humidity: 58% to 67% Watering: Both 1000 ml. As you can see, instead of removing the leaves, i tucked down all the leaves to open up the canopy. I will see if i like this method as its the first time i try this. I also attached some more shoots to the rack, its looking nicely spread out now :) The #2 makes my fingers very sticky and smells really strong! I love it!
