02/14/2026 Honestly, I'm not sure that she is stretching. Filling out, yes. But stretching, no. Not sure what to make of this. She's only 17" tall and has been in the "pre flower" stretch for about a week. Or maybe it takes a week for the stretch to start? I don't know, but I'm not seeing any rapid growth. Like from yesterday to today, I see like a quarter inch difference in height. Not a stretch. That's like casual growing. I'm now wondering if the stretch has yet to start. So this week we are leaving it on Veg. For that reason, I'm not changing the water. Just topping it off as needed. Like today. I bet she needs a gallon. I think I'll change the water out when I start to see buds. Currently, I'm using a mix of grow and bloom nutrients while she transitions from veg to flower. I'm really hoping the stretch hasn't started yet. I've been saying it since I saw the first pistils. That was a week ago. She looks great! I don't understand where the vigor went. No signs of stress, hunger or toxicity. A perfectly healthy plant. No leaf discoloration. And still producing 7 finger leaves. Her branches are strong and most are almost caught up to the top. She's super wide and frankly, she doesn't have all that many leaves. They just got big. Maybe this lady is a 5 or 6 week veg time. But the pistils! Argh! The environment is pretty level. No issues there. We are at a nice 75° and 55%. The VPD is a bit high, but I also have the CO2 bag in the tent, so it can stand to be a bit warmer. I also think I can increase the light intensity, but I won't be doing that. Update: I raised the light to 25". It would be 24" but the Apple Strudel is 3" taller and I need to make sure I don't burn that one. So we are at 25" with a DLI of 35.6 mol. I increased the light power to 60% as well. Currently 195 watts. I also noticed the EC and TDS dropped quite a bit last night. Not sure why, but I might have to add more nutrients. It's happening with the Apple Strudel as well. Not really sure what to do besides continue adding nutrients until she levels out? But if she's taking in more nutrients than water, how do you stop that? Does it level out and she drinks the same amount she eats? 02/15/2026 Apparently I forgot to do an entry this day. Oops. I was busy. Real quick. Not much going on. 02/16/2026 Readings: pH: 6.05 EC: 800 TDS: 402 Temp: 66.2 The EC and TDS are still low, but now TDS is in the 400s, so that's good. I'm trying to figure out how to increase the dose without pumping the water out again. I'm going to have to wait until I need to top off again. So tomorrow it seems. Now just to figure out how much I need. It's 4 gallons, so what to do? I only need 50 ppm more. Maybe 500? I'm still trying to figure out how it works. Like if I add a certain amount, will the plant eat and drink the same amount based on a number? Like if the water was 500 ppm, and 2 days later when she's taken in a gallon of water, I see the EC and TDS at the same level. Or would 500 ppm still not be enough to keep up? I'm not exactly understanding what I'm experiencing here. I added a little micro to the mix too. I almost forgot about it. Just a little bit. I think it'll help with the TDS and might help the plant grow more. When I change the water out in a couple days, I'm going to be adding 1 ml per gallon to start. It should be like 7.5 or something, but I'm taking it slow. I'll add a bit more until I get to 5 or so and see how she does. I'm trying to not go over 500 ppm as this is an autoflower. She doesn't need a ton of food. Although, this particular strain is nutrient heavy. She could probably take 550 ppm. But I'm not doing that. I'll stick with 450 ppm until she hits full flower. Then I'll bump it up to 500 then 550, and if needed, 600. She also has started budding. Not too sure what that means for her growth. But I'm thinking she's not gonna grow much more. Shame that. However, the Apple Strudel is still growing. No budding, nothing. Well, she has pistils, but that's because she's transitioning to flower. She is going to finish stretching in a few days I think. Maybe longer. Hopefully a little longer to grow. Anyway, that's it for the day. 02/17/2026 Swapped the water out. Honestly forgot to write in today. So this is the next day. I swapped water and that was about it. 02/18/2026 Readings: pH: 5.90 EC: 809 TDS: 403 Temp: 65.1 We are looking pretty good. Is the EC supposed to be that low? The TDS is decent but I'd like to see it at 450 to 500. Temp looks great! I've been swapping the ice bottles out 3 times a day. 1 in the morning then afternoon and then evening. It's been working perfectly. The pH is spot on, as it should be. Her root ball is a bit small for my liking. I don't have a way of taking a picture of it without a second pair of hands. It's not too small. But definitely could be bigger. The root ball in the Apple Strudel is taking up the entire bucket. It's pretty cool. No pics of that either. As for after her defoliation, she showed zero signs of stress from it. Very happy plant. Leaves perky and happy looking. Nothing drooping. Just good happy plant. I also had to lift the light up again and drop the power down to 50%. Now she's 24" from the light and the DLI is 37 mol. It has to be that low because the apple Strudel is a bit taller and I don't want to burn her. As it is, she was showing signs of light stress already. Blue Dream, that is. But it's all fixed now. I really should be checking the light daily. I forget to. I only have a few inches to the ceiling. The environment looks great! No issues, equipment is barely running now. Perfect for this little lady. Speaking of little, I'm pretty sure that's it for the stretch now it's stacking time I guess. I'll take a total height measurement at the beginning of next week, but I'm pretty sure she's over 20" now. Maybe she'll get taller when the stacking starts. 02/19/2026 I think I forgot to mention a few days ago, she has buds now. So I'll be switching to bloom nutes coming next week. Well, 2 more days. I should have switched last week, but she didn't have buds yet. I was assuming she would stretch. Lol Apparently not. No clue what happened. Maybe not enough food. But she showed zero signs of stress. A very healthy plant. But no stretch. I'm hoping the stacks make it taller. If the stacks happen. I'm very confused with this plant. I mean, flowering as early as she did is pretty cool. But where did the stretch go? Anyway, I was considering topping off today, but she definitely doesn't need it. Maybe a half gallon. I want to try and hold off until I swap the water out. That way I'm not pulling out 4 gallons. With 1 being fresh. Nope. Not me. The environment is looking pretty good. No issues. I'm gonna drop the humidy next week to 50%. I'll leave the temp the same though. Roughly 75° I could get to 77°, but I'm not gonna bother. She also took really well to the defoliation. No stress that I can see. But she's still short! Why? Why Lord why?! Oh well. I'll just do my best to make sure she has massive rock hard buds. 02/20/2026 Last day of week 6 and last day of Veg. I probably should have started flower last week, but I wasn't thinking about it. Oh well. Now we have buds and the the start of flower. Tomorrow I'll be changing out the mix to bloom nutrients. Big bud, tasty terpenes and bringing back B-52 for the rest of the run. I'll be taking out Piranha, Tarantula, Voodoo Juice and Bud Ignitor. Currently I'm at a third dose for next week, so the week after, a half dose should be fine. Plus it was only ever nitrogen I was having a problem with and just barely. I figure if that's the only issue I've seen and it was the only issue. Although, it really wasn't an issue. The only thing I saw was dark tips. But the Apple Strudel got nitrogen toxicity from the Grow part of the nutrients. Not much else to report on. She's budding and that's what matters. Hopefully she stacks right up. I'll be very upset if this turns out to be a small budded plant. Too early to tell though. The environment is good. The water is low, but I'm swapping it out tomorrow. Hopefully I'm not causing any issues with her by waiting the extra day to fill the bucket up.

Still pulling top fan leaves to allow the side branches to catch up to the main stem. Plants are enjoying the new root space and increased feed.

2 Black Cherry Gelato BCG (love to smoke it, first time growing). Clones- from my clone guy. 1000w LED, 5 gallon xl & 15 gallon xxl Autopots,, coco/perlite 65/35, GH 3-part+ flourolicious, calimagic, SI, chelated iron, and humic acid , RO water, AC pro Controller and T8, 5x5 GG Tent with extension Garage grow SoCal This week I was out of town and let my grow grow. The autopots did their thing at about .6g a day for the 5g and over 1g a day for the 15g pot. I did battle multiple hot days in the garage. We’re running just under 1000ppm with no issues. I ran out of bloom and used some powdered kool bloom and it worked well. Thinking of switching to jacks RO but it’s working so good now I don’t want to switch. This weeks accomplishments: I put the gelatos in fabric autopots, one 5g xl and one 15g xxl. Scrogging to flatten the canpoy Long term issues Cooling and VPD targets during heat waves Preventing pest and mold issues - my humidity crept up high when I was gone and I saw a few powder leaves which were promptly removed upon my return. I hope you all are having as much fun as I am. Best of luck gromies. Check out my other purple push pop grow I’ll be adding an outdoor light deprivation grow soon. Then we have side by side indoor versus outdoor grows in SoCal

Day 64 to 70 On autopilot. I have been light on the nutrients so bumped up the nutes to 810ppm this week. Forbidden Runtz 1 is coming close, the buds are getting THICC and hard. I'm keeping a close eye on the trichomes. It's almost go time. I predict 2-3 more weeks for the rest but I don't know anything Feeding around 750ppm this week. Lightening up on Nutes for FR1 at ~350ppm.

This is a must grow strain for anyone that likes a good balanced strong sativa , it grew well despite dripper and timer issues and had a really good medicinal side for crohns disease whilst leaving me energised and uplifted . This plant continues to stretch right until harvest even with heavy defoliating it ended up 150cm tall. The smell is really strong and differs between pheno types. One grew with almost no pistils/stigmas and was very frosty, this one could have continued Even after 9 weeks flowering . Overall this has taken over as my favourite sativa ! I WILL grow this again for sure and would recommend it to anyone who likes sativa or citrus smelling/tasting flower 💚 NB: I didn't weigh the bud wet so ignore the guess in the grow report.

01/03/19 The girls popped, 1 didnt make it so we have 2 left. We got lucky again and got another trident! Hopefully she keeps producing 3 branches at every node. 24/03/19 Today ill germinate the seeds getting ready for the coming run. I wont be ph'ing my water unless my soil's ph is off. I read all over 420magazine about not ph'ing your water when growing in soil. This explains why my first grow was such a success and started having ph issues as soon as i started ph'ing my feeds. Ill keep my soil in check to make sure it stays in the 6.5 range. I hope this grow will go better then my last one. I have high hopes for this grow🤞. Ill be using smartpots to allow max oxygen to the roots and so ill be able to water throughly without any issues. Wish me luck.

Hello Diary! The third week of vegetation and Green Gelato enters the pre-flowering phase 💪. It can already be seen that she lags far behind her Hulkberry roommates in terms of height, so I will have to lift her closer to the light soon😬. Due to the high summer temperatures, the temperature in the box is also high😓. As I mentioned earlier, my small farm is located in a small room in the kitchen so it’s hard for me to keep the heat out of the space. But given the LED light, great MIGRO, that doesn’t produce too much heat, everything is still within acceptable limits😀. Humidity is also good, given the third (last) week of vegetation and ranges around 55-60%. The distance between the branches is also significantly smaller than in the Hulkberries, so the branches are much denser and with much more leaves. Green Gelato develops more in width than in height. Due to the higher temperature, she didn't drink as much water as I expected. I don’t have some default watering schedule, I give them water when I see the pot is lighter and the surface is dry. All in all I am very pleased with how it is progressing, the plant looks satisfied and healthy. I still add Cal / Mag preventively at each watering, 1.5 ml / L. Also in the third week of vegetation she showed her gender. 06/07/2020. Day 18. Watering. I prepare 7-8 liters of water, I think this is the optimal amount for watering all three plants in the box. I added BioBizz as scheduled for the last week of vegetation, Bio-Heaven, Fish-Mix and Acti-Vera 2ml / L each. P. H. I regulate with Plagron, Lemon Kick. 09/07/2020. Day 21. Photographing and measuring plant height. After taking regular photos in the box, I take a few more photos on a black background. Vegetation is over, starting tomorrow I will change the light regime to 20 hours of light and 4 hours of darkness. Given the temperatures, I will put it dark in the middle of the day when the outside temperature is also the highest, I hope that in this way I will prevent the temperature from rising to an undesirable height. That’s all for this week, see you soon 🙌.

Everythings gone nicely this week. Had a big burst of growth, had to raise the lights higher than what would normally be their maximum! Probably do a little defoliation over the next week.

Week 8 Flower The last week of flush for these two. They were taken down on Day 56, after a 16 Day flush. I think Twin2 could have finished at 7 weeks, but of course I hadn't planned for this, or I would have flushed sooner. So she was taken to the originally planned 8 weeks. Twin2 has also foxtailed quite a bit, from only slightly higher temps and also because she's having a last attempt at catching any pollen in order to reproduce. Although the pots were slightly damp still when I harvested, it is best to take them down when they're dry. The only reason I didn't, was because I knew I'd be too busy the next day, and there were plants in veg that were desperate to be thrown into the flower tent! The pics do make them look wetter than they were though. Their fan leaves were taken off and they were each hung in seperate boxes, where they'll dry as slowly as possible for between 6-10 days. I dont suffer with very high humidity, so I'm able to do this without any issues. When I feel it is too humid, I simply burp the box for the first day or 2 once a day. The slower the dry the better the buds will taste/smell. Once she's dry enough she'll be trimmed and jarred for curing. It's going to be a pretty tough one for keeper pheno! They both have similar but very different smells. By that I mean, they both smell very floral and sweet, but T2 smells extra sweet (although definitely not as dense). That doesn't mean T1 doesn't smell just as nice. Hers buds are thicker and more dense, so even though I've favourited T2 in the pics, I think I'm leaning towards T1 still. But in all honesty it's still down to dry weight and the taste test! This can all be looked forward to in the harvest update! It's been a seriously fun diary with these two twins. I'm definitely glad I separated them. Do you think you'll attempt to separate them after seeing my experience? Please let me know! Thanks for following and happy growing! 🐺

Finally all got rid of their little hats and are looking healthy. TD 3(drooping cotyledon) needed a bit of help so I removed the seed shell with tweezers. Note: The Mycotrex is listed as nutrient because it resides around the shell and than again 10cm below it. 2020-11-12: 1l nutrient solution with 0.5ml of Bia Canna Vega since the soil is Light Mix without any nutrition. I also lowered the light since they were stretching a bit. Light at 25% intensity. 2020-11-14: 300ml ph adjusted water each 2020-11-15: Raised light intensity to 50% 2020-11-17: 300ml ph adjusted water each TD1: 7cm TD2: 5.5cm TD3: 7cm

we have the second week of flowering behind us. the plant grows a good 10 cm a week. i have removed the large leaves. unfortunately the german summer is a long time coming. we sometimes only have 8 degrees at night. lots of rain. i hope it's not too much stress for the plant. because of all the rain, it only gets fertiliser every two days at the moment.
