This has been another awesome week. She has been doing extremely well. Her recovery time from her first topping, to the point where I could top her again, was almost 2 weeks to the nose. So we have topped her a 2nd time this week. She is now at 4 nodes. I am expecting/hoping to be topping her again for the final time in another 2 weeks. From there, Its Veg time, A Lolli popping, And then Flower Flower Flower. This week she will also be moving into a bigger tent. My bloom tent is currently empty, so I am going to move her over early, get a little more light, and be ready for flower. This also allows me to use the veg tent for my other fresh started grow. Don't worry, I have just installed a camera into the bloom tent, so we will continue with the time lapse videos as best as possible. Some adjustments may be needed as Cotton Grows, but I have already thought ahead and "should" be ready. Notice the "'s around should.

? Blueberry Muffin – Pheno B Week 8 | Lush, Green & Ready to Perform 🌿🔥 Welcome back to another week of the 8×8 Adventure! 💚🌱 If you're new to this diary, welcome! And if you've been following from the beginning, you already know that this project isn't simply about growing twelve plants. It's about watching twelve different personalities develop under the same conditions. Twelve cultivars. The same room. The same lighting. The same irrigation system. The same general feeding strategy. And yet somehow… they all tell completely different stories. Blueberry Muffin Pheno B is becoming a perfect example of that. Last week, she finally joined the flowering party. This week? OMG. She's looking absolutely lush. 🌱 A Quick Recap — How Did We Get Here? Because every phenotype has its own diary, I always want to begin with a little recap. Blueberry Muffin Pheno B has been grown from seed under a strict 12/12 light schedule, meaning she has received twelve hours of light and twelve hours of darkness from the beginning of the project. This is what we call 12/12-from-seed. Rather than giving the plants a traditional vegetative period under a longer light schedule, we're allowing them to develop under flowering photoperiod conditions from the start. And that doesn't mean every plant reacts the same way. Quite the opposite. We've seen some plants transition very quickly, while others have taken considerably longer. Pheno B was one of the slower ones. She spent a long time developing her structure before finally deciding that it was time to flower. But once she made that decision… she didn't waste any time. During the vegetative stage I deliberately kept things relatively gentle. There was no aggressive training programme. No constant manipulation. Mostly LST and gentle leaf positioning, allowing the plant to naturally develop her own structure while making small adjustments when necessary. That has given us a really interesting phenotype to observe. She's approximately the same size as her sister, but her personality is completely different. Pheno A developed a more open architecture. Pheno B? She's becoming a lush little bush. 🌿 And now we're finally getting to see what that structure can do in flower. 🌸 Flowering — She's Ready to Perform This is officially her second week of flowering development, and the transformation is becoming much more obvious. The flowering sites are clearly established now, with fresh white pistils appearing throughout the canopy. The tops are beginning to develop their own identity, and there are flowering sites distributed all across the plant. She's not stretching dramatically. She's not trying to become the tallest girl in the room. Instead, she's putting her energy into building what is already a very full structure. And that's what has me curious. Because when you look at her now, the question isn't really: "Will she flower?" That's already happening. The question is: What is she going to do with all this structure? Will she keep stacking compact flowers? Will she put on more stretch? How much will those smaller flowering sites develop? We don't know yet. And that's exactly why we're documenting it. 🌿 The Greenest Girl in the Room? One thing that immediately stands out this week is her colour. Look at this girl. She's carrying an incredibly lush green across the canopy. There are a few leaves here and there that had some imperfections or showed signs that they weren't contributing much anymore. Those are exactly the kinds of leaves we've been removing during our selective cleaning. But looking at the plant as a whole? She's looking healthy, vibrant and full of energy. And that's particularly interesting when compared with her sister. Same genetics. Same room. Same project. Different phenotype. Different expression. Pheno A has been asking for more nutrition and has been slower to regain that deeper colour. Pheno B is basically standing there saying: "I'm good. What's next?" 😂 And I absolutely love seeing that difference. ✂️ Cleaning, Lollipopping & Defoliation This week we've also continued our cleaning work around the room. And again, I want to emphasize something because this is an important part of how I'm approaching this entire project. There is no defoliation day. I don't have a calendar saying: Week 8 = everybody gets defoliated. That's not how I grow. There are twelve plants in this room, and they're twelve different personalities. So I look at the room. I look at the plants. And when one plant is telling me that it could benefit from a little cleaning… I clean that plant. Another one might be ready next week. Another one might need almost nothing. And that's perfectly fine. I'm also doing this entire project myself. So I'm not going to create artificial pressure by trying to defoliate twelve plants on the same day simply because a schedule says I should. I go with the flow. Not with pressure. For Pheno B, this meant removing selected leaves that were no longer useful, were creating unnecessary overlap, or were interfering with the developing flowering sites. We also cleaned up the lower portion of the plant with some lollipopping, removing lower growth that wasn't likely to contribute meaningfully to the main flowering structure. The objective isn't to strip the plant. It's simply to clean up the areas that don't need to be there anymore and improve the overall architecture. And I think the result is pretty clear in the photographs. She's still very leafy. She's still lush. She's still got plenty of healthy foliage. But the plant now has a cleaner lower structure and better-defined flowering areas. That's exactly what I want. ⚗️ Feeding — A Little More for Everyone The feeding programme has also been increased this week. And just like with Pheno A, this wasn't because Blueberry Muffin Pheno B suddenly demanded a huge increase. The entire room has reached a point where nutritional demand has increased naturally as flowering progresses. So we adjusted the feeding accordingly. Pheno B doesn't look hungry. Quite the opposite. She's looking fantastic. But she certainly doesn't appear to mind the increased availability either. 😄 Our current feeding consists of: 🌱 Plagron Terra Bloom – 2.2 ml/L 🌱 Plagron Power Buds – 1 ml/L 🌱 Plagron Sugar Royal – 1 ml/L 🌱 Plagron Pure Zym – 1 ml/L With the pH adjusted to approximately 6.0. The important thing now is not to keep changing things simply because we can. We've increased the feeding. Now we watch. If she continues maintaining this beautiful colour and keeps developing normally, that's a very good sign that she's comfortable with the current strategy. If she tells us something different… we listen. That's really the philosophy behind this entire grow. 🌡️ Environment The environment remains stable, which is exactly what I want at this stage. 🌡️ Day temperature: 29°C 🌙 Night temperature: 25°C 💧 Relative humidity: 60% 🥥 Substrate temperature: 21°C 💦 Nutrient solution temperature: 24°C ⚗️ pH: 6.0 ⚡ EC: approximately 2.0 mS/cm 💨 CO₂: 693 ppm 💡 Light schedule: 12/12 💧 Watering: approximately 1.3 L/plant/24h ? Pot size: 15 litres She's continuing in the AutoPot system, giving the root zone consistent access to the nutrient solution. That consistency is particularly valuable now that the plant has moved properly into flowering. No unnecessary drama. No wild swings. Just a stable environment and a plant being allowed to do what she naturally wants to do. ? Pheno B's Personality Is Becoming Very Clear This is probably my favourite part of this week's update. Because now we're beginning to understand who she is. She's compact. She's bushy. She's extremely leafy. She's naturally vigorous. And she's carrying a beautiful green colour. She's also developing a very different structure from her sister despite being the same cultivar. And that's exactly why I wanted separate diaries for the phenotypes. Imagine if these two plants were simply documented together under one Blueberry Muffin diary. We would lose half the story. Pheno A would tell us one story. Pheno B is telling us another. Same genetics. Different expression. And now we're going to get the opportunity to see whether that difference continues all the way through flowering. 📸 Behind the Lens The camera really captured the personality of this girl this week. The close-ups show those fresh pistils emerging from the developing flowers, while the wider photographs reveal just how much plant she has packed into a relatively modest footprint. The canopy is full. The flowering sites are becoming easier to identify. And that green… wow. There are still a few older leaves that have shown some imperfections, but after the selective cleaning, the plant looks remarkably uniform. This is one of those weeks where the photographs almost tell the story before I even start writing. She's ready. Now we just have to see what she does with the opportunity. 🔮 Looking Ahead — What Do We Expect? For the coming week, I'm not expecting any miracles overnight. And I'm certainly not going to make predictions about final yield or flower size at this stage. It's still early. What I am expecting is continued flower development. I'm looking for: 🌸 Increasing flower formation 🌿 Continued healthy green growth ? More definition around the individual flowering sites 📈 Some gradual stacking and development ✂️ Further selective cleaning only where the plant actually needs it And what am I not expecting? I'm not expecting every plant in the room to behave the same way. I'm not expecting Pheno B to suddenly become Pheno A. And I'm definitely not going to force her into a schedule simply because another plant is ready for something. She has already shown us that she's perfectly capable of writing her own story. So we'll let her continue. 💚 One More Week, One More Lesson This week is another reminder of why the 8×8 Adventure has become so fascinating for me. Two Blueberry Muffins. Same environment. Same genetics. Same light. Same irrigation. Same general feeding strategy. Yet look at them. Two completely different personalities. Pheno A is the patient one, gradually finding her rhythm and demanding a little more nutrition. Pheno B is the lush one, standing there with a beautiful green canopy and looking like she's ready to perform. Neither is better. Neither is worse. They're simply different. And that's the whole point. The grower doesn't always get to decide what the plant is going to become. Older leaves on bottom and middle of the plant are starting to yellow now that they don’t receive as much light, the branches have created a nice canopy surrounding the plant. I cleaned up the middles and bottom of plant by removing leaves as they completely yellow day by day, and remove small suckers that appear at the base of the branches to keep the energy going towards the tops. Plants will get another round of Jobes organic granular feed to help the new branches fatten up and provide adequate bud sites for flowering period! 5 gallons will receive 1 cup while 15 gallons will receive 2 cups of granular feed, weather predicts rain the next few days which will help the plants getting their nutrients

Hey now, I hope everyone is having a great weekend. The ladies had another great week, I got the Durban Nights, Red Hot Cookies, and Sundae Driverr's second toppings completed on day 26, and I got the second toppings done on the Green Crack and Bubble Runtz on day 27. Right now I have 4 mains on each plant, and I will top each one this week, probably in the next 3-4 days which will leave with me 8 mains. So the mainlines will be completed during week 5, and I plan to flip to flower around week 7. I am still seeing a couple holes on the leaves of the Sundae Driver, but I have treated her twice with neem oil and I don't see any new holes since the last application and I can't see any bugs even with magnification. I am still not sure if it was a bug issue or just a genetic thing. Either way I am not too concerned at this point because they all seem to be very healthy. I am still feeding GH nutrients, silica, cal mag, and maxi grow. I will transition to flower nutrients approximately one week after flipping to flower. I have found that it is important to continue feeding plenty of Nitrogen through the stretch. The only way I would transition sooner is if I was running out of vertical space. Still very pleased with the Spectrum X from Medic Grow. I am running her at 69% and the plants seem very happy and healthy. The heat and humidity are finally letting up in my region so it is nice to be able to open some windows and drop the temp outside the grow tent. 09/26/2021 Starting week #7 of flower still picking caterpillar, and eggs of leaves, not to serious as we are on top of it. Starting the week with banana peel tea drench 2 gallons per girl, which is all she will get besides water till harvest. Still small flushes of pistils coming out I believe she (Hulk) is in final stage of flower (4) lots of orange hairs (pistils) but fresh one coming out daily albeit slower. Hopefully she fatting up in coming weeks. 09/28/2021 Week7 Day #3 Definitely seeing more calyx swelling. #1 is chunking up nicely #2 looks good little bud rot were caused from cattipillar poop! #3 coming from behind Will be last to harvest for sure.

Was a normal week nothing too special. Plants are looking abit frail so will be giving them some nutes. Couple abnormalities on a few leaves 🍃 😌 but will put that down to temp and genetics, we will see how they take to the feeding. Gonna turn up the light to give the plants more FOOD. Within the next few days I'm hoping to see more strength in the plants

Flowering is really stunned in this very cold weather, still a fun thought seeing my plant still alive while all the tree already have lost their leaves. Today i chopped the remaining branches on my right maincola, the left will stay 1 to 3 more weeks, im gonna push that one with all the risk of every risk🤗 i wett trimmed the branches again and hanged them, after i took away the first drying batch from 10 days ago. I weighted that what was still hanging at 49 grams dry weight, adding up to a total of 64 grams so far... Im guessing the total amount of dry weight on this plant will be around 300 grams unfortunately... If this would have flowered lets say 1,5 month earlier( like it was fking expecter to do!!!) It would have made a kilo for sure

💙 Project Blue Tent – Week 8 Pickle Lemon Haze F1 – Pheno A (Folder 14A) Hello everyone, and welcome back to another chapter of Project Blue Tent! 💙🌱 If you're discovering this diary for the first time, welcome aboard. Project Blue Tent follows four individual plants from seed to harvest, with each phenotype receiving her own dedicated diary. All four sisters share the same tent, lighting, irrigation, nutrition, environmental conditions and training strategy. The purpose is simple: Keep the variables as consistent as possible... and let the plants tell their own story. And this week, that story is getting very exciting. Because the Blue Tent has officially entered flowering. 🌸 Today we're checking in with Pickle Lemon Haze F1 – Plant A. And just like her sisters... She's growing fast. Very fast. ──────────────────────── 🌸 Week Eight – And Suddenly Everything Accelerates There are moments in a grow where you can almost feel the plants changing from one day to the next. This is one of those moments. After seven weeks of vegetative growth, the Blue Tent has finally moved to 12/12. And the girls seem to have taken that as a personal invitation to accelerate. Plant A is now approximately 81 cm tall, compared with roughly 60 cm when we finished vegetation. That's around 20 cm of growth already, and the whole room is behaving similarly. But what's fascinating isn't simply the vertical growth. They're developing everywhere. New flowering sites are becoming increasingly obvious. Branches are extending. Nodes are developing. The plants are changing shape almost by the hour. They're not simply stretching... They're building. And Plant A is right there with them. ──────────────────────── 🌿 Pickle Lemon Haze F1 – Plant A Plant A has always been one of the girls that catches my attention. She's vigorous. She's responsive. She's incredibly determined. And now that flowering has started, that personality is becoming even more obvious. The canopy remains remarkably even despite the amount of growth happening above it. Her branches are strong, her foliage remains healthy and the developing flowering sites are appearing rapidly throughout the structure we spent weeks building. This is exactly why we documented these plants individually. From a distance, all four sisters can look remarkably similar. But when you spend time with each one... You start noticing the little differences. Plant A has that particular combination of speed, structure and enthusiasm that has been present since the beginning. And right now... She's absolutely flying. ──────────────────────── 💥 Super Cropping – Trying to Keep Up With Her With this amount of growth happening so quickly, we're continuing with super cropping as another way of managing the most vigorous vertical shoots. The objective isn't to stop the plants from growing. At this point, I'm not sure anything could stop them. 😂 It's about trying to influence the structure while they're stretching aggressively. Some of the taller branches are being carefully worked to reduce their dominance and hopefully encourage stronger branching points as the plant continues developing. And the funny part? These girls simply refuse to stay down. I'll work a branch... Give it some time... And she'll be standing back up again like nothing happened. Plant A is particularly impressive in that regard. She seems to have one answer to everything: Grow. 😂🌱 Whether this will ultimately be enough to keep the stretch under control remains to be seen. The temperatures, the seven-week vegetative period and the sheer vigour of these plants are all factors. But for now, the canopy remains beautifully manageable. So we continue observing and adapting. ──────────────────────── 😳 Well... I May Have Broken a Branch And then there's the part of growing that nobody wants to talk about... Sometimes you make a mistake. This week, while working with Plant A, I managed to break a branch. Yep. It happened. I'm not going to pretend it didn't. I'm also not going to turn it into some dramatic disaster. Plants are resilient. Training doesn't always go perfectly. Sometimes a branch moves differently than expected, sometimes there's a little too much pressure, and suddenly you're standing there looking at the plant thinking: "I'm so sorry, my dear." 😂🌱 I immediately tried to support and repair the damaged section, and now we'll simply give her some time and see how she responds. At the moment, there's nothing here that makes me alarmed. It's one branch. The rest of the plant is growing beautifully. And honestly... This is also part of documenting a real grow. Not every training session is perfect. Not every decision goes exactly according to plan. Sometimes you make a mistake. You learn from it. You carry on. And Plant A certainly isn't letting one damaged branch stop her. ──────────────────────── 🌱 A Fast-Developing Flowering Plant What really stands out this week is just how quickly these plants are evolving. The flowering sites aren't sitting there waiting patiently. They're developing rapidly. The structure we created during vegetation is now being populated with new growth, and the difference between the beginning of the week and the end is already noticeable. This is also why I'm glad we spent the time building the canopy properly. The SCROG gave us a much more even starting structure. The defoliation opened up the interior. And now the plants have room to develop into that structure. We're going to see exactly how much they use it. ──────────────────────── 💡 Starting Flower Under Strong Light The Blue Tent is now running 12/12, and we're starting flowering at approximately 800 PPFD. That's a deliberate decision. After seven weeks of vegetation, these plants have a substantial canopy and are showing very high levels of growth activity. Rather than gradually creeping toward flowering intensity, I'm giving them strong light from the beginning and watching their response. The goal is to provide enough usable light to support this rapidly developing canopy while continuing to monitor the environmental side of the equation. And because the girls are already stretching aggressively... The next couple of weeks should be very interesting. I'm curious to see whether the strong light helps keep the canopy relatively compact... Or whether these ladies simply decide: "Thank you for the extra photons. We'll use all of them to grow another 30 centimetres." 😂 We'll see. ──────────────────────── 🌡️ Blue Tent Environment The environment remains remarkably consistent throughout the room. This week's recorded conditions were: • 🌡️ Day Temperature: 27°C • 🌙 Night Temperature: 27°C • 💧 Relative Humidity: 67% • 🥥 Substrate Temperature: 24°C • 💦 Nutrient Solution Temperature: 19.2°C • ⚗️ pH: 5.81 • ⚡ EC: 2.09 mS/cm • 💨 CO₂: approximately 666 ppm • 💡 Light Schedule: 12/12 • 💧 Irrigation: approximately 1.4 L/plant/24h • ? Pot Size: 8 L • 📏 Plant Height: approximately 81 cm One thing I'm watching particularly closely is the temperature difference between day and night... Or rather, the lack of one. We're currently sitting around 27°C during both periods. Warmer nights can encourage additional stretch, and these plants certainly don't need much encouragement. 😂 So I'm keeping that in mind while watching how the canopy develops. For now, however, the plants are showing no signs that they're unhappy with the environment. ──────────────────────── 🥥 Feeding – Now in Flowering Mode The nutrition has also moved into the flowering program. Current feeding: • Plagron Hydro A — 2 ml/L • Plagron Hydro B — 2 ml/L • Plagron Hydro Roots — 1 ml/L • Plagron Power Buds — 1 ml/L • pH Plus — 0.03 ml/L • pH Min — 0.03 ml/L Current EC: 2.09 mS/cm pH: 5.81 The change in nutrition is relatively measured. I'm not interested in throwing everything at the plants simply because the calendar says "flower." They're already consuming aggressively and developing incredibly quickly. So for now, the objective is to support that development while continuing to observe how Plant A responds. Her colour remains healthy. Growth remains vigorous. And the flowering sites are developing exactly as we'd hope. That's enough reason to stay consistent. ──────────────────────── 💧 The Drip & Drainage System – Working Together The automatic irrigation and drainage system has become a very important part of this project. Plant A is now receiving approximately 1.4 litres per 24 hours through the drip irrigation system. The process is beautifully straightforward. The drippers deliver the nutrient solution to the coco. The solution passes through the substrate and feeds the root zone. The runoff then enters the collection trays underneath the grow bags. From there, the drainage pipe carries the collected water toward the pump. The pump pulls that water away and returns it toward the reservoir. So the irrigation and drainage systems are working together as one continuous, recirculating setup. Water in. Coco. Roots. Runoff. Collection. Pump. Reservoir. And around we go again. It's almost like having a little circulatory system underneath the plants. And it's working wonderfully. As the plants become larger and their water demand increases, having that consistency becomes even more valuable. I don't have to manually reproduce the same watering and drainage routine every day. The system does it. The plants get their consistent irrigation. The runoff is handled. And I get to spend more time actually looking at the plants. That's exactly what I wanted. ──────────────────────── 🌿 Seven Weeks of Vegetation – Maybe We Overdid It? I'm going to admit something here. Looking at these girls now... I may have kept them in vegetation a little too long. 😂 Seven weeks isn't something I normally do. Usually, I'd be much more inclined to flip earlier. But the extra vegetative time gave us a fantastic canopy. Strong branches. Established roots. A full SCROG. A beautifully even structure. The downside? We now have four incredibly energetic plants with a huge amount of growth potential entering flowering at the same time. And they're showing us exactly what that means. Approximately 20+ cm of growth already. Flowering sites developing rapidly. Branches continuing to extend. Everything accelerating. So... Let's have faith. 😂💙 We've prepared them as well as we can. Now we get to see what happens. ──────────────────────── 🌸 Plant A – Ready for the Show Plant A's flowering transition has been particularly satisfying to watch. The framework we created during vegetation is clearly visible underneath the new growth. Her branches are well distributed. Her canopy remains relatively even. And the developing flowers are appearing throughout the structure rather than being concentrated into just a few dominant tops. That's the advantage of all those weeks of preparation. The plant isn't starting flower from scratch. She's entering it with a structure already designed to support what comes next. Now we just need to manage the incredible amount of growth she's producing. And hopefully... Keep her somewhat compact. No promises. 😂 ──────────────────────── 🧠 Managing Growth Without Fighting the Plant One of the lessons these girls are already teaching me is that there's a difference between managing growth and trying to completely control it. The plants have their own momentum. We can influence structure. We can redistribute growth. We can work with the branches. But ultimately... They're going to grow. And I think that's especially important to remember in a project like this. The goal isn't to force Plant A into exactly the shape I imagined. It's to create the best environment and structure possible, then observe how she expresses herself. Super cropping is one of the tools I'm using to help manage the most vigorous shoots. The strong lighting gives the canopy plenty of energy. The irrigation provides consistency. The nutrition supports the transition into flower. And the environment gives us the foundation. After that... Nature gets the final word. ──────────────────────── 💙 Plant A – Still One of the Stars There is something particularly satisfying about watching Plant A now. She's been through everything this project has thrown at her. Topping. Training. SCROG. Defoliation. The transition into flowering. And now a little accidental branch damage. And through all of it... She keeps growing. That says a lot about her. She's not delicate. She's not hesitant. She's vigorous and remarkably resilient. And although the four sisters continue to look impressively similar, Plant A still has that unmistakable personality we've been watching since the beginning. She wants to grow. So we'll let her grow... Just perhaps with a little guidance along the way. 😂🌱 ──────────────────────── 👀 Looking Ahead The next few weeks are going to be fascinating. The plants are already moving incredibly quickly, and we're only at the beginning of flowering. I'll continue watching the stretch closely. We'll keep using super cropping where necessary to manage particularly vigorous branches. We'll monitor the damaged branch and see how Plant A responds. The irrigation system will continue running its cycle. The flowering nutrition will continue supporting development. And the environment will remain under close observation, especially with those warm nights. For now, however... The canopy is still remarkably even. The flowering sites are developing rapidly. Plant A is healthy. And the whole room is absolutely full of energy. We may have vegged these girls a little longer than usual. We may have created more growth than we intended. But there's no point worrying about that now. The plants are ready. The lights are on 12/12. The flowers are coming. Day 40-17/05/22 all looking good so yellowing of lower leaves but think it’s because I watered them a bit to late the other day!!!
