New update for week 12, concluding week 8 of flowering: Hi(gh) Folks! Thanks everyone for your input on my second grow question. I’m going for HighTV’s answer, the SOG with 9x4 main buds. Very nice to get everyone’s input on this, appreciate it! So another week done! They got their last nutrients Tuesday and on Thursday the 5 early ladies from Hempire got their first round of plain acidulated water. I flushed them a bit on Friday and Saturday to. Now they can dry out for a couple of days. I will flush them for the upcoming week and let them dry out before harvest next weekend. Im counting on them to swell up even further during this week. As for the rest of the 4 plants from Hempire, 4 from Royal Queen Seeds and 3 from Hy-Seeds, I will treat them as if this is another week 8, and they will get another dose of Flowering nutrients and PK. Then next week I will start to flush them also. I will have 2 full weeks to flush and let them dry out until my planned harvest on Saturday 5 January. I’m not even sure that will be early enough for the 4 RQS’s since they look like they have even more bud-growing to do, before they can start swelling! I will keep an eye on that. The 5 tall ladies, 2 from Hempire and 3 from Hy-Seeds show the nice thick Kushy buds i’m craving for, can’t wait to see the becoming nice and heavy! On the photos you see the slight diverence between the pheno’s, the left 2 plants grew the popcorn-buds on a stem, and the right ones have nice thick popcornbuds against the stem’s. The other to remaining Hempire plants also show these, apart from the early ladies offcourse. The early birds show a little stretching buds and nice purple colours. Even though it says 80 Gallon pot, it’s really 400, it just glitches out when I enter 400 and converts to say only 80. I know she looks bad! I know. She has only been managing a nutrient lockout with horribly low pH for far too long! The Hydrated Lime has indeed fixed the pH! Resulting in my next inbound set of problems. The original soil from the second 2.3L pot she was in was too strong! She needs to get her roots out into the larger pot, but that only gives her so much more space. Plus in that larger black plastic pot, the hot dry sun at 7,000 ft in elevation, really heats up those pots! When it’s 98F later, that sounds like torture! Maybe it was enough to balance out the more concentrated stuff towards the inside of the root mass. But I don’t want her roots to stop there! The time is now for her to go into the 400!!! The soil is 6.5 pH through and through. The peas are about to bloom! She has just avoided lockout and is picking up momentum! The 400 gives her a huge diameter for her roots! Something I sincerely hope her genetics will take advantage of. The soil is rich and alive! The temps in 400 will be so much better! Now I must prepare for my Arch Nemesis! The Butterfly!!!!!! Lol But seriously. They find my plants attractive, and decide to serve my plants as food for their offspring!!!! Not okay! Last year their success rate on my plants was a fat 0!! But they did some serious damage! I am prepared this year!! I will watch with vigilance for any butterflies around my plants specifically. I will spray my plants down regularly with diatomaceous earth! Not too much obviously! I know less is more when spraying that stuff! No mother wants to give her children food with razor blades in it! And as always there is always next year! I can’t let a phase of mice and men get the better of me. However!!… that’s what I said LAST YEAR!!!! Lol. This year IS next year! Anyways she looks rough right now on Day 58 but I tell yah what, she has very recently made a dramatic turnaround for the better!! …I hope! Happy Growing! StrongTrees💪🌳

Starting to see some pretty nasty mag deficiency on the top of the canopy so I fed them some Mag Amped today! Will be watching the tops this week. Otherwise, they are exploding with weight!

Day 63 – Flower Week 1 (Flip on Day 60) This plant shows the same low, scrogged style as the others, but it’s still in an earlier stage of stretch. The canopy spreads well across the net, with several tops already finding their own squares, while a few side shoots are still weaving upward to join the main layer. Leaf color is a healthy medium-deep green with a soft sheen. The newer growth is lighter, a good sign of active metabolism, while a few of the oldest fans underneath are starting to pale slightly—normal as the plant redirects energy toward the upper shoots. Since the flip three days ago, the plant has begun its initial vertical push but remains nicely controlled. Light is reaching the interior without much shading, setting the stage for even bud development.

Pretty happy with this grow. Going to either reveg 1 and pop s2 for next or do all s2. Absolute 0 herm through all flower and all plants. Chopped them. Will try to reveg 2 I am very baked

the last week has been really sunny again and the temperatures are also constant. she has started to show small blooms. so far she is doing well

Another great week of just giving rain water every 2 days. Noticed from others grows, she stays in veg/pre flower a bit longer than most. Just starting to show pistols and early bidsites now. Later this week will probably add some potash to keep up with bud production. Still loving watching these girls grow. The space has gotten quite tight and the girls are fighting for the light. Chose to do no training or topping this grow, only leaf tucking. Girls still steady growing in height and width daily. Curious to see how full the tent gets.

At the beginning of this week I put the plants on 12-12 in terms of feeding I only watered with PH 6 because they have some burnt leaf tips next week I will start flowering feeding.This morning when I opened my tent my fan fell on a plant and it broke a main stem. Hopefully they will survive 😭

The wait is finally over, I harvested on 07/01/25. Dried very slowly for almost 2 weeks inside the tent at 60% humidity and 18 - 21 °C. Smells very sweet, it reminds me strongly of the Purple Punch. Only in direct comparison, the Purple Punch leans more to berries while the GSC leans more to something, I can't smell out. But very tasty.

This week I tried to let them go, only did some gnat hunting with the vacuum to keep populations down. Sunshine found a great way to hold the plant down with some thrift store Christmas light fixtures. At the end of this week, I tied the remaining upward stalks down and away. The final bits of training before we can hopefully go towards flowering coming week. I did some foliar feeding also to help the soil dry out a bit, also to fight the gnats. Maybe overdid it a bit with a few yellow points on the leaves. On to flowering!!

This week has been great.I'm glad that I was able to pull the plant when I needed to. The weather out here isn't always the best coming towards the end of October. How ever i handle it the best we can. What ive learned to do is wet trim before hang dry. Heres some phots of these glossing nugs. Iknkw ill lose a bitin water weight but im happy none the less. Fire 🔥 This has been a great grow, I learned a lot from Growing out here in new mexico. It was amazing to be able to train these plants 4 into one using training techniques. She has grown a lot since last week so i did some more lst. I think that she has almost reached full growth potential if she hasn't already. The bud development is starting to ramp up. I also removed a few leaves I watered once with 2,5l of rain water and another time with 3l. There were some very hot days (32-38 °C) so she had to be in the shade a lot of the time.

Amazing, incredible smell. Purple Red Sativa 😎🔥 is drying quickly due to cold temperatures and low humidity. Conserving that flavour 💯❤️🌈🔥

day 15 (december 19) start of week 3 roots everywhere plant starts to take of now, the hydro is slightly bigger then the soil plant day 17: the hydro plant made a new set of leaves in just 2 days! day 19: i cut off the lowest leaves of both plants. i do this because on any autoflower these leaves produce a stem that wastes a lot of energy on small nugs. day 20: hydro plant got topped (3nodes) day 21: soil plant got topped (3nodes) same strategy with the topping, i do this early (i could pinch them off with my fingers) to reduce the time to recover. the plants bounce back like they didnt feel it and with the lowest leaf and small tiny stems cut off, these plants will produce 6 main stems with nice big and dense buds instead of a huge christmass tree with more leaves than bud.
