Week 5 flowering for our banana purple punch from fastbuds 420! The buds are starting to get fatter day by day, we continue with our food program. This week again we gave sugar shot, sticky fingers, bloom booster, silica, amino and master root all from xpert nutrients. All good at the moment 🤗

Fastbuds Banana purple punch and Gorilla Cookies are looking great in early veg. Started a second seed of the strawberry banana and she finally popped up so now it’s just a week behind the others,but looking good hopefully will see some real growth in the next week!

Phew! She's growing with insane vigor!! She was watered with a 2.5 gallon dosage of de-chlorinated tap water today! The previous 1.5 Gallon dosage was "only"(lol) lasting for 3 days before becoming 90% dry, so I've gone up to max dosage! 2.5 Gallons caused 15% of that water to run-off, out of the bottom of the pot. She will likely dry to 90% again, and be ready for another dosage in 5 days! I'm extremely excited to defoliate her, she's testing my patients! :)

26.08.2024 the fat lady is almost done, i switch 1 part of mega crop by bud explosion. the second harvested have beem dry and trim for a total amount of 189.4 g 1st and second harvested total is now 310 g..... now in the run for a 1 pound plant 29.08.2024 she get is last cut today for a total of 1649.5 g of wet sticky bud.

I am a little bit worried it’s going too slow (compared to reference grows from other diaries), but patience is hard and there’s still 3 to 4 weeks of flowering to be done. The breeder advises 7 to 8 weeks, which is a bit optimistic, but they also advise 9 weeks for optimal taste and a smoother effect. The girls still grew a bit vertically, so even 5 weeks into flower, they aren’t fully focused on the development of the buds. Maybe this week, some serious XL bud stacking will take place 😊. I had some problems this week with heat and humidity. For two days, temperatures were at 28 degrees with lights on; a bit too high, but nothing extreme. More problematic was RH: it oscillated a lot between 45 and 60% during lights on and peaked at 70% with lights off. There will be some dry weather the days ahead, so RH will probably stabilize around 50% the following days. Nevertheless, I increased the power of both fans and the exhaust to the max, so there’s more than enough airflow throughout the whole tent. I did some slight defoliation, but nothing extreme. I don’t want to stress them out in this phase and cause them to herm. Hence, I took away max. 2 leaves per plant per day and only when tucking away wasn’t possible. The run off EC is at 2.0-2.1, while 1.8 (close to 1.9) is going in. pH of the runoff is around 5.9, except Iris’ run off, that one is always at 5.5. With the new Mars Hydro FC 3000 hanging at full power, I added it 2 days ago and left it at 50% power then up to 75% this morning, and now at 100% after the nute change.... Very nice progress... I will defoilage heavy mid week once they are used to the new light and new nutes then leave it for the remainder.

I just switched to water on Quebec Blast. Starting the purging of nutrition from the plant to harvest. Next update will be a harvest. Trichromes are frosty so should be prime ripeness when ready. Starting into Week 5 Flower, week 11 total Mandarin Cookies definitely has an extremely strong orange citrus smell! Trichomes are coming in very nicely! MC’s are still ahead of the SK’s... however the SK on the left is catching up, with the one on the right having some budlets starting to form. 3 - Madarin Cookies are two in back and one in center; 2 - Silver Kush are two up front; 2 gallons water/nutes per 5 plants, alternating with plain water (just calmag, malassis, Ph. 6.4) every other day. Ph.6.4 (1.5 C.F.) Fox Farm Ocean Forest, mixed with (1.5 C.F.) garden soil, fills (5) 5 galllon fabric pots perfectly. (50/50 mix.) The new version of Spider Farmer SF-4000 is an awesome light, for anyone wondering. Can’t say enough good things about this light! Way less heat that any HPS/MH I’ve used. My big curiosity is about the final weight per watts used at finish for the Spider Farmer... UPDATE Week 5, Day 6: I did notice some heat stress on only a few of the taller branches (they were about 6” from the light). I did move the light a little further up about 4” to get some distance, and added an extra fan. Hope this helps the leaf curling! Question: have you ever driven past a house and can instantly tell they just harvested?? Ha! I just did that on my way home, and thought I was smelling my house from a long distance away.
