DAY 21 FLOWERING: Well it had to happen eventually!!! . I knew it would come to this point.....I had to be brutal and practical as I evicted the Gorilla cookies and the mutant Northern light to a different space... I now have the #1 Northern lights and the Grandaddys Mimosa directly under the XS1500 to really develop them both to the best I can. The light has done a great job developing all 5 to this point and I do think it could have finished them all at a push but , I think seeing how it can grow 2 auto plants in a 2x2 space will be worth the change of plan. I am impressed with this little light and never expected such a growth rate . I really would love to test their new p4000 to see what that beast can do. The northern lights has really worked hard this week on her bud structuring , she looks like she will be stacking her colas on each limb , just the way we like em in the space I have. I did take a little more weak lower growth out of her to focus on the stronger mains as we have hit the point of no more defol . She wont regrow leaf after this point now so the ones remaining will be all she has to power the photosynthesis during flowering. Sugar leaves do not do the same work as the fan leaves and with them being autos , I feel we need the extra boost more than in a photoperiod run. She looks like stretch has finished now too so her size is nice and stocky so she wont need to transfer nutes too far from the roots either. Grandaddys mimosa is also really developing some nice looking golf ball buds all over. She looks like she will be a long cola girl too which is perfect to keep the canopy and light distribution as even as possible with the Northern lights too. She smells a little fruity already and the hint of her Mimosa lemon father is also really evident. So far so good . The 2 Gorilla cookies and the other northern lights are all looking great after being grown under this light and I will include their harvest data in the diary at the end to avoid the diary going haywire. All in all this is going great now and continues to impress me with the capability of this unit. Come on #viparspectra , send me a p4000. Lol Be safe and well growmies.

Buds are fattening up nicely. Hairs are slowly turning orange. Drinking a lot of water lately

Day 39 and things are still rolling along nicely.Ive done some light defoliation on some of the older fan leaves.Noticed a nice stretch this week and buds are forming.Ive just given plain water when the pots are dry.Se7000 dialed in at 50 percent and I’ll keep it there for a bit longer as they seem happy.Day 40 I made some adjustments to the set up and moved the inline fan/carbon filter and the humidifier outside the tent as I’ll need the room.I went ahead and added the bamboo scrog I made to spread the branches to boost production.The only thing I don’t like about the bamboo is it is a pain to water the girls.I need to do some more defoliation on the lower parts of the plants soon.Water with a dose of Recharge tonight as well.

ok so everything has gone fantastic , no nutrient burns at all , and have been slowly creeping up the base nutrients , i have stopped the cal mag and now adding house and gardens bud XL at full strength these girls are now in full swing of flower and i bought a new ph stick this week , i have found when PHing the feed bucket that its best too have air stones in the bucket , add all nuts and then ph but do not use the feed that day as if you check the next day the ph is off again so i left it 24 hours after i add more ph down , and it seems too make the measurements alot easier and stable , i have bent down the main stems " without damaging them onto my netting too A keep the canopy all the same high so my lighting is covering all plants at the same distance and also it allowed the side stems too reach up too , i also was sponsored another new led light by kingbo this week so have added another 600watt led too the grow , so now have two 600's and one 900watt , and temps are still fine sitting at 24c lights on and 19-20 off , so am pleased with that , this lady is nice and compact and tight lots of leaves that I had too remove too open up her bud sites , stretch was also minimal ,

Start of week 3! All three plants have had great bud site development during the last 2 weeks. The Super Lemon Haze is a bit thirstier than the Blueberries, so the Slh got and extra 2 liters of feed during week 2. The Slh is also showing deficiency, hopefully with the addition of B52 to the feed cycle, she'll come around. On th blueberries, there has been some rust spots appearing on the largest leaves, I removed the worst one's and will monitor more closely this week, if that issue continues or not. These babies are very bushy, they take up 80% of my grow room space, very excited about this grow and these plants.

Week 7, we are in full flower and I show you the feeding today, very simple and not much to it. The plant drinks this 25 liter tank empty like nothing, that's a good sign, she takes in the nutrients and grows rapidly. Still cleaning some leaves and branches here and there, will update when we made some more progress, so far everything is going well.

Sooooo this has been an amazing and exciting week! Ive been patient with this last plant and really checking the trichomes i inly wanted a few amber caps on the nugs, was looking for milky on this one! Shes smelling amazing and the color change was such a sight to see! She did so well with the nutrients and loved the 2 week flush i did! I cut her down did a wet trim and have em in the drying rack! Im excited to see how she cures and drys ready for the smoke reveal! I've had success in the past with transplanting autos from solo cups to their final pots as long as I dont allow the roots to reach the bottom before transplanting.

I’m measuring plant biomass this time around: plant HEIGHT, leaf WIDTH and CANOPY width for as long as possible, before tent space MAXED OUT. Target maximum plant height - 36”- 40”. Allowance for canopy width expansion of 2 plants in a 2x4x6 tent - varying between 24” - 36” from late vegetative stage through flowering. This is a stretch as far as space goes. One single plant would have be enough to fully fill the entire canopy of multiple colas. In other words, although one can legally grow up to 4 medicinal plants in Canada, and I chose to grow 2 of them, that does not necessarily mean extra yield. Plants are thriving and read to be flipped into flowering stage next. Light intensity increases and so does DLI. PPFD=683 and DLI=44.1. Photoperiod changes to 12/12 in week 6

01/03/19 The girls popped, 1 didnt make it so we have 2 left. We got lucky again and got another trident! Hopefully she keeps producing 3 branches at every node. 24/03/19 Today ill germinate the seeds getting ready for the coming run. I wont be ph'ing my water unless my soil's ph is off. I read all over 420magazine about not ph'ing your water when growing in soil. This explains why my first grow was such a success and started having ph issues as soon as i started ph'ing my feeds. Ill keep my soil in check to make sure it stays in the 6.5 range. I hope this grow will go better then my last one. I have high hopes for this grow🤞. Ill be using smartpots to allow max oxygen to the roots and so ill be able to water throughly without any issues. Wish me luck.

📅 Week 10 | 🗓️ Day 64–70 Day 70 – Lemon Cherry Runtz 🍋🍒 (2nd week flower) 🔸The second week of flowering has really picked up momentum. Densely packed flower clusters with long, ivory-colored stigmas; the calyxes are neatly stacked and the first sugar leaves are visibly “powdered.” The canopy is closed, the shoots are growing evenly – the lollipopping work at the bottom and the clean training are paying off. The stretch is noticeably slowing down, and the energy is now going fully into the flowers. 🔸The SANlight remains at 90% and ~30 cm distance (approx. 900 PPFD at the canopy). The leaves appear relaxed, without claws or lightening – so no indication of light stress. I keep the climate rather moderate, with good air circulation through the foliage so that the fresh resin heads remain dry. It's a bit cold at the moment, so I can't quite reach the VPD, but I'm not going to put a heater in, hehe. 🔸I watered as planned with BIO PK from BioTabs – carefully following the manufacturer's instructions. Otherwise, only water. The goal: to push flower formation without compromising leaf health. My pictures seem to have re organized themselves, just give me a few here and I'll get the full rundown . So this week ( day 21-23) was MAJOR defoliating. What my first step is to start taking the largest fan leaves . My next step is about halfway through the canopy I'll stop and then I'll start working on the very bottom of the plant now at this stage in the game anything that doesn't even have a nice Bud site so a nice white hair sticking bud at the very bottom like shoots I'll just cut them right off. This is the first steps of a main line but I don't complete the actual full main line I probably will try it sometime soon just not this time. So you take off anything that is a small shoot coming off the main stems and then your next step is . STOP. It might be a minute it might be 10 minutes, 20 min , it might be an hour or more ( my tip is don't wait a full day I try and do it within the first 12 hours of starting it) but I always stop just to look at what I've done sometimes if you get going too quickly you can end up doing way too much. Stand to talk to canopy and look what sites are getting hit by light what places are these families beneficial to use for photosynthesis. Anything that is not doing as much good will be taken off and at that point I'll probably do another you know 5-10 minutes of defoliation maybe take one or two more shoots at the bottom to ensure what's left there is a huge fat cola that's going to give you those huge buds . After this you're going to want to do your best to support those stems that are going to hold a lot more weight as if the plant would have been with all the shoots so you're going to want to just make sure that you have staking in place or some sort of support system to keep them from flopping over a breaking them in the future because that's one thing yeah it's great but then it'll get to a point where oh no stuff falling over and then it's just more hassle than it is helpful.
